Importance: Understanding the root cause of mental illness stigma is necessary to adopt effective management strategies. Objective: To establish a stable and effective text–picture integration rating scale to predict public perspectives on mental illness and to examine its reliability and validity. Design: Descriptive cross-sectional study using internet survey data. Setting: Online. Participants: Two hundred volunteers. Results: The 10-item the Text–Picture Integration Scale for Perspectives on Mental Illness was developed. The authors conducted data analysis using SPSS to evaluate the reliability and criterion-related validity of the Mental Health Literacy Scale (MHLS). The Text–Picture Integration Scale's item-level content validity index ranged from 0.83 to 1.00, and the scale-level content validity index was 0.97. The scale demonstrated acceptable reliability (Cronbach's α =.80). The mean value of individual items ranged from 3.18 to 4.48, and the mean total score was 39.44 (SD = 8.47). The Text–Picture Integration Scale exhibited satisfactory criterion-related validity with the MHLS (r =.76, p <.001). Conclusions and Relevance: Preliminary analyses support that the Text–Picture Integration Scale is a stable and effective rating scale to determine public perspectives on mental illness and is appropriate for evaluating destigmatization efforts. Plain-Language Summary: The study findings support the use of the Text–Picture Integration Scale as a stable and effective rating scale to determine public perspectives on mental illness. The scale is also appropriate for evaluating ways to address the stigmas that people associate with mental illness, which pose challenges for people in recovery. Following major turning points and breakthroughs of 2023, the start of 2024 has been steady, coordinated, and ordinary. In contrast to the highs and lows of the past five years, the rhythm of the relationship between Korea and Japan has settled to a welcome tone of "business as usual," and business as planned. Both Prime Minister Kishida Fumio and President Yoon Suk Yeol faced serious challenges to their leadership with record low approval ratings and the conservative People Power Party's defeat in Korea's parliamentary elections. But for now, Japan-Korea relations are thriving as they follow through on commitments made at the Camp David summit. As the landscape of social networks evolves, the dissemination of public opinion through online channels has become increasingly dominant. Consequently, researchers have turned their attention to the impact of emotional factors introduced by communicators when conveying public opinion. This paper proposes a novel SEInIeR public opinion communication prediction model, incorporating an extreme emotion mechanism, which acknowledges the inuential nature of speech under heightened emotional states. By integrating the traditional infectious disease SEIR model with fractional order differentiation, our model not only ensures the existence and stability of the disease-free equilibrium point E0 but also allows for more accurate prediction. Finally, the model has been validated and analyzed through simulation experiments and numerical simulations. Furthermore, example data were collected for analysis and tting. This paper aims to evaluate whether features of the public sphere are present in the activities of Iranian Twitter users. To achieve this objective, the paper provides a synthesis of computational social sciences, network analysis, and Habermas’s approach to the public sphere. The data comes from all Iranian users, including those who are actively engaged in political issues on Twitter. This method of data collection focuses on the computational aspects of the users. Added information on how they conducted networking and facilitated public opinion, which resulted in increased user interaction, would complete the datagathering process to align with the theoretical claims. It also indicates that Twitter was a platform on which Iranian users fulfilled the requirements of the public sphere. Some of the findings indicate that there were 48,076 users connected with 25,534,713 edges, and together, they formed three communities. While one of the communities focused solely on social issues, the other two engaged in a rival political challenge. This study examines significant topics and customer sentiments conveyed in reviews of P2P lending applications (apps) in India by employing topic modeling and sentiment analysis. The apps considered are LenDenClub, Faircent, i2ifunding, India Money Mart, and Lendbox. Using Latent Dirichlet Allocation, we identified and labeled 11 topics: application, document, default, login, reject, service, CIBIL, OTP, returns, interface, and withdrawal. The sentiment analysis tool VADER revealed that most users have positive attitudes toward these apps. We also compared the five apps overall and on specific topics. Overall, LenDenClub had the highest proportion of positive reviews. We also compared the prediction abilities of six machine-learning models. Logistic Regression demonstrates high accuracy with all three feature extraction techniques: bag of words, term frequency-inverse document frequency, and hashing. Communication is a critical component in the process of providing quality healthcare services and products. The role of public relations (PR), as a strategic, proactive, and responsible type of communication, is to establish and maintain a positive reputation and relationships with the public, based on trust and mutual understanding. Given the complex approach and process of this activity, when properly applied, PR can bring benefits to all stakeholders in the healthcare sector, contributing positively to its overall realities and outcomes. This paper presents the results of an exploratory pilot study aimed at identifying the coordinates of PR in the Romanian health sector by investigating perceptions on health public relations (HPR), its potential, challenges and opportunities, and stakeholders in healthcare. It is based on qualitative research, using interviews with a mixed group of professionals from the public and private sectors (doctors, medical service coordinators, medical professors, managers, and owners of entities that provide health services and products, and strategic communication professionals working for companies in healthcare). The results are discussed alongside relevant findings provided by previously published studies. In the final part of the article, the author proposes a PR model for entities in the medical area. It emphasizes that HPR should not only be used as a tactical tool or alternative to marketing efforts, nor only intended to manage an undesirable image or deliver damage control after an inconvenient situation or crisis. Instead, HPR services are at their true potential when a strategic approach is applied proactively, based on complex research and planning, designed to engage stakeholders and motivate them towards collaborative communication and sustained effort, based on partnership, for efficient and effective results in the health sector. Jacek Kordel's book, "The kingdom of anarchy: In search of modern notions about the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and its inhabitants," examines the negative stereotypes and propaganda against Poland and Poles during the eighteenth century. Social networking sites offer a vast platform for sharing various types of content, such as information, photos, videos, and audio clips. However, the credibility of the information shared on these sites is a significant concern since there is no prior verification process as the information spreads across the networks. This increases the chances of disseminating false or misleading information, often called rumors. The spread of rumors in today's information environment creates severe problems for the credibility of information and public confidence. The quick spread of rumors, frequently conveyed via social media and other online platforms, can affect public opinion and potentially have real-world repercussions. Maintaining the integrity of information ecosystems and averting the potentially damaging impacts of disinformation require detecting and mitigating rumors. In today's social media and online communication age, it is crucial to identify rumors to prevent their spread and mitigate their potential negative impact. In this study, our primary goal is to discover and identify individual sources of rumors. This work addresses two aspects of rumor management: firstly, identifying the difference between rumors and facts, and secondly, tracking the source of the rumor. In conjunction with the attributes, state-of-the-art methods such as SVM, AdaBoost, Random Forest, Logistic Regression, and Graph Convolutional Networks (GCN) are used to accomplish these goals. The transition from Industry 4.0 towards Industry 5.0 marks a paradigm shift, emphasising human-centricity in industrial settings. Industry 5.0 focuses on improving the future role of people in addition to merely technological progress. While "human centricity" gains recognition, ambiguity surrounds its definition and application. The literature lacks clear consensus on the concept and its industrial implications. This paper provides clarity on human-centricity by analysing viewpoints and public opinions based on posts published on LinkedIn in the last five years regarding human-centricity. The analysis involved text mining techniques, including semantic clustering to discover distinct clusters of discussions related to human-centricity and keywords extraction to tag the different clusters. The findings reveal that public opinion predominantly centres on the skills required by future workers, encompassing both hard and soft skills, as well as social themes such as gender equity and workplace comfort. This research underscores the critical relevance of these components in the transition towards Industry 5.0, offering valuable insights for industrial practitioners and researchers alike. Every consultation with a patient at an aesthetic surgery clinic begins with the practitioner’s need to understand the patient’s reasons for wanting a change in their appearance. In our current society, physical attractiveness is viewed as a sign of having a fulfilled personality, successful career, happy marriage, and a comfortable life. Because of this, the option to undergo cosmetic surgery is becoming an increasingly important element of modern everyday life. We conducted a study to examine the beauty industry in modern Kazakh society. The article reviews and presents the results of an online survey of 515 Almaty people regarding their attitudes about cosmetic surgery. Our survey was formatted as a semiformalized questionnaire that included open and closed questions. Because the survey used a snowball approach (i.e., a sampling technique where existing study participants recruit additional participants from among their acquaintances), the sociodemographic portrait of the target audience was formed randomly. We also conducted interviews with four experts in cosmetic surgery in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The results obtained from this research make it possible to broaden the scientific understanding of specific features of the beauty industry and the interaction of potential consumers with experts in this sphere. Our study further illustrates human behavior in a sociocultural environment that allows researchers to analyze the various facets that influence an individual’s self-perception, behavior, and decision-making in everyday life. The US-Japan relationship may well be at its all-time best. Animated by a concordance of vision and interests, the two governments are closely coordinating across a wide range of issues in a variety of venues--bilateral and multilateral, political, economic, and military. Concern about the potential destabilizing effects of regional developments provides considerable motivation for the two to work together. The final reporting period of 2023 provided ample evidence of their convergence. If that past is prologue, the year ahead should be a good one. Unfortunately, however, the tide could be turning. A political funds scandal has ensnared Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), and the approval ratings of the government of Prime Minister Kishida Fumio are plummeting as a result. Even if the prime minister survives the scandal--and most indications are that he will--he will be tarred and distracted as the region and the world face new and mounting challenges. Research by Wegner et al. (1981) suggests that incriminating innuendo in questions can negatively affect attitudes and opinions. Two preregistered studies (N = 506) provide a close replication of Study 1 ofWegner et al., additionally testing whether question-innuendo effects are moderated by partisanship. Replicating the original findings of Wegner et al., questions insinuating something negative about a target person reduced favorable impressions of the target. Counter to the novel hypotheses that effects of incriminating questions would be reduced for political-ingroup targets and enhanced for political-outgroup targets, question-innuendo effects did not differ across target groups. The findings suggest thatmerely asking a question about a false proposition can influence public opinion in the absence of incorrect assertions that could be deemed misinformation. Forensic anthropologists engage with numerous and diverse stakeholders in their casework. Regarding the recovery of human remains, these stakeholders may be interested in quantifying or qualifying the amount of remains recovered. How forensic anthropologists respond to such questions, whether verbally or in written reporting, has the potential to impact the trajectory of a case. However, communications about skeletal completeness are rarely discussed within the field. Current data-collection procedures recommend the use of inventories. This approach may be less feasible for complicated assemblages involving commingling or high degrees of fragmentation. Numerous methods exist to quantify the amount of skeletal remains present in complex or larger assemblages, but it remains unclear to what extent forensic anthropologists utilize these methods and whether factors like degree of expertise influence analysts' ability to report skeletal completeness consistently and precisely. A study was designed to examine differences between public and professional perceptions of skeletal completeness, presenting images of incomplete bones and skeletal remains. Survey participants were asked to assess the completeness of the remains in each image. Few patterns were observed regarding photographs of skeletal assemblages, but distinct differences were observed among individual bones between respondents with different degrees of expertise. These responses reflect potentially unexamined assumptions underlying assessments of incomplete bones and skeletal assemblages. This highlights the necessity of standardizing how we report estimates of completeness within the forensic anthropology community and how we discuss these results with external stakeholders. Completeness estimates must be either removed from reports and bench notes or annotated and cited clearly, as is standard with other aspects of forensic anthropological analysis. The Balasore train tragedy occurred on 2 June 2023 in Balasore, Odisha, India. The article is dedicated to a study that analyses public sentiments expressed through YouTube videos, titles, descriptions, comments, and engagement metrics related to the tragedy. The present study employs a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach, using the software Webometric Analyst, Python package, and the YouTube Data API to extract data and relevant information from the YouTube platform. The findings shed light on public sentiments and discussions surrounding the incident, revealing that the YouTube video titles predominantly aimed to provide objective information, with some expressing negative sentiments and a smaller fraction focusing on positive aspects related to the tragedy. The video descriptions displayed a neutral sentiment, presenting factual information without strong emotional connotations. The sentiment analysis of video comments reflected a similar trend, with neutral comments being the most prevalent, followed by negative and positive sentiments. The comments exhibited a moderate level of subjectivity, incorporating personal opinions and emotions. This analysis revealed the diverse range of sentiments expressed by viewers, encompassing objective information, negative sentiments, and some positive perspectives regarding the train tragedy. The 2022 outbreak of the Russian full-scale war against Ukraine has led to a reassessment of memory politics in Ukraine. The erasure of communist symbols or "decommunization" has evolved into a decolonization process of de-Russificationin in which Russian cultural symbols, including toponyms, are removed from the symbolic space. This article presents the results of a mixed method investigation of Ukrainian hodonyms to shed light on the effects of war on a nation's postcolonial toponymic legacy. We argue that de-Russification in Ukraine is a case of national "toponymic cleansing". Simultaneously, this process may be interpreted as an act of restorative justice following cultural colonization. The findings indicate that posttransitional rethinking of place names in Ukraine is still strongly bounded by the effect of scale, and specific approaches to de-Russification are largely dependent on the local historical, cultural, and geopolitical context. This article presents the results of our study on the public perception of science during the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil, carried out at the Centro de Estudos SoU_Ciência, from Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP). To answer the question: “Has the COVID-19 pandemic changed the perception of Brazilian society about science, scientists, and universities?”, quantitative and qualitative studies were conducted between August 2021 and July 2022. In national quantitative public opinion surveys, we collected exclusive data from a historical series of polls on the subject in Brazil, and in focus groups, we deepened studies on the perception and political position of different social segments. Amid the growth of scientific denialism; political and social setbacks; and the dismantling of public policies, specifically scientific and technological, resulting from the impeachment of 2016 and the election of Bolsonaro in 2018, research indicates, apparently contrary to an obscurantist political tendency, a significant expansion of public interest in science during the pandemic in the country. The adoption of technology-enhanced online learning platforms is transforming teaching and learning practices within and outside the university. As online learning and educational technology become increasingly ubiquitous, there is a need for equity-minded scholarship attending to the social, cultural, and political implications of the technology sustaining online learning. While prior literature has made important strides framing education technology within conversations of equity and justice, there is a lack of empirical research analyzing marketing material of education technology. This presents a significant gap in understanding for education researchers, as marketing material plays a significant role in shaping public perceptions of technology, and can be widely read among students, instructors, and university stakeholders before directly engaging with the tool. Given recent scholarly interest in the ways subjective understandings of temporality are implicated in learning design, the present study connects burgeoning interest in temporality towards corporate marketing material of learning design. Drawing on artifact analysis methods, we analyzed blog posts from Coursera and customer success stories from Microsoft that describe how their products are designed to support online learning. Our research questions include: (1) How does marketing material from two education technology companies shape subjective understandings of temporality in online learning? (2) How can these temporal representations be leveraged to promote equity-oriented pedagogical design? Results from our analysis show how time is constituted as an efficient and agentic resource, and as an orientation towards future careers. Astroturfing, trolling, bots, false amplifiers and social media accounts with inauthentic behavior are used in online political communication even if they have a real-world dangerous effect on democratic systems. Some of these activities are involving users that are over-proportionally active in relation to the mean. This explanatory research sought to determine whether such hyperactive users are utilized to share political posts to create an impression of popularity for a specific political message and, thus, to influence the recommendation algorithms of social networks in order to increase the exposure of political messages. In this study, I analyzed the most shared posts during the election campaign on the official Facebook pages of the first three ranked candidates in the 2019 Romanian presidential election. The research revealed an average of 18.3% of shares were made by hyperactive users on their own timeline or in different Facebook groups, with users that shared the same post for 69 times. Furthermore, I identified some of the characteristics of hyperactive users' accounts based on their public social media profile, which may helps understand the specifics of these accounts. The results show that election communication involves activities considered by Facebook to be a practice of „manipulating public opinion" and of „manipulating political discussion" (Weedon et al., 2017, p. 5). In today's rapidly evolving world, environmental sustainability and waste management pose significant challenges. Consumer habits in many countries often lead individuals to behave irrationally, exploiting resources selfishly and egocentrically, disregarding the environmental damage caused by such actions. While many developed countries actively seek creative solutions to enhance public awareness of waste reduction, recycling, and reuse, numerous less developed countries, including the Republic of North Macedonia, are at the early stages of transitioning toward a green economy. Initial efforts are underway to shift awareness and foster sustainable waste behavior among both individuals and legal entities. This paper aims to explore the citizens' waste behavior and challenges in the Pelagonia Region in the Republic of North Macedonia, with the goal of promoting the adoption of eco-friendly solutions, such as Reverse Vending Machines (RVM). The study also seeks to enhance awareness and promote waste management behavior through the research process and communication with the citizens. A survey was conducted, collecting data from 842 citizens in the Pelagonia region to gain insights into their perspectives. Statistical analysis of the collected data in the SPSS software package indicates that citizens' waste sorting practices are influenced by their age and employment status. However, the citizens' information for reverse vending machines and their use does not depend on this cluster affiliation. The analyses confirm that in the Republic of North Macedonia as a developing country, efforts are still needed to raise awareness and enhance education regarding eco-sustainable practices and behaviors among the population. In this study, we aim to explore the ideational and contextual sources of perceptions about refugees. Contrary to many studies focusing on the interaction with and integration of refugees in developed countries, we examine the effect of social identity and refugee exposure on the perception of refugees in Turkey, which pose a substantive case with a background of ethnic conflict and scarce resources. We contend that social identities provide individuals with cues; however, we argue that identity type and its salience are key to understanding in-group vs. out-group formation processes, hence the perceptions about refugees. Moreover, we argue that socioeconomic status affects an individual’s support for refugee integration, as it challenges the existing status quo of access to scarce resources. Our findings challenge the conventional wisdom in migration studies by employing an original face-to-face survey among over 1,100 respondents in three cities (Istanbul, Diyarbakir, and Gaziantep) in Turkey. We find that those prioritizing national vs. religious identities reveal different levels of perceived threat. Additionally, we show that those belonging to lower-income socioeconomic groups are less supportive of refugee integration when the presence of refugees sets the ground for competition for economic and social resources where they reside. In the past few years, extensive research has focused on comprehending the influence of financial socialization on people's financial habits and overall welfare, indicating a substantial convergence in the area. This article bases itself on a review of literature of prior research, using selected keywords to search the SCOPUS database. Further, the Bibliometrix R package was utilized for the analysis to ensure comprehensive results. The significant themes identified are public attitude, financial system, sustainability, and financial education. The present research sheds light on the growing importance of financial socialization and its various domains which is yet to be explored by theoreticians and practitioners from various countries. This article explores notions of 'truth' and 'factuality' in war news, transnational aerial propaganda campaigns, and the persuasive techniques used by U.S. military propaganda troops during World War II. By drawing on underutilized archival materials, this study shows how Allied propagandists used airborne leaflet propaganda as tools of cultural information warfare after D-Day to reach, influence, and lower people's morale on the German home front, and to demoralize combatant soldiers by pressuring them to surrender. Analysis of propaganda leaflets and newspapers reveals iconographic and ideological representation of Allied perceptions of 'truth', overt sexist portrayals of women as a propaganda weapon, and how these materials crossed national borders and bypassed physical censorship. The findings rest on a historical analysis of primary records, including more than one thousand propaganda leaflets, airborne newspapers, unpublished correspondence from military officials, U.S. public opinion questionaries, and other materials disseminated over wartime Germany. Climate change is a constant threat to human life, and it is important to understand the public perception of this issue. Previous studies examining climate change have been based on limited survey data. In this study, the authors used big data such as news articles and social media data, within which the authors selected specific keywords related to climate change. Using these natural language data, topic modeling was performed for discourse analysis regarding climate change based on various topics. In addition, before applying topic modeling, sentiment analysis was adjusted to discover the differences between discourses on climate change. Through this approach, discourses of positive and negative tendencies were classified. As a result, it was possible to identify the tendency of each document by extracting key words for the classified discourse. This study aims to prove that topic modeling is a useful methodology for exploring discourse on platforms with big data. Moreover, the reliability of the study was increased by performing topic modeling in consideration of objective indicators (i.e., coherence score, perplexity). Theoretically, based on the social amplification of risk framework (SARF), this study demonstrates that the diffusion of the agenda of climate change in public news media leads to personal anxiety and fear on social media. Climate change is a global emergency that necessitates urgent action from policymakers and the public. Public opinion plays a crucial role in shaping climate change policy, making it essential to understand how people perceive and respond to the issue. Studies on public opinion on climate change are emerging, but are lacking in examining linguistic aspects. The present study intends to conduct a linguistic analysis of public opinion news to identify public recommendations on climate change issues, by identifying themes in opinion news on climate change. The analysis focused on directive verbs and modal verbs, and examined how the general public linguistically expressed their recommendations. 136 news articles from the New Straits Times Malaysia were analysed using a corpus-assisted discourse analysis approach. The findings revealed that the dominant themes are government action, followed by education and awareness, protecting natural resources, encouraging sustainable lifestyle, transitioning to renewable energy, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The public's overwhelming emphasis on government action, indicates a strong demand for policy restructuring and enactment to address climate change. While there is increasing awareness and interest in learning about climate change, the study raises concerns about the limited attention given to themes such as encouraging sustainable living, protecting natural resources, transitioning to renewable energy, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, suggesting a need for further education and awareness campaigns to bridge these knowledge gaps and promote holistic climate action. Introduction: If corneal transparency is impaired and all conservative, surgical or other medical treatments have failed, corneal transplantation is the only therapeutic option. When the family knows and is aware of this, both in the case of "opt-in" and in the case of "soft opt-out", where the family is involved in the decision, the chances of receiving the organ are higher, if there is an adequate post-mortem framework. To achieve this increase in an individual's willingness to donate organs or corneas, factors that determine/predict this willingness must be explored. Aim: To investigate the factors influencing the willingness to donate corneas. Materials and methods: One hundred and twenty-nine non-health science professionals/students were reached by the principal investigator from May 2022 to January 2023, and 38 nursing students were reached by the principal investigator at a nursing student conference in November 2022. The data collection method was a self-administered questionnaire with closed-end questions. The questionnaire was printed, a version of it was created in Google Forms, and there were electronic responses as well. Descriptive analysis was performed by calculating the frequencies of sociodemographic and donating characteristics. For inferential statistical analysis, the Monte Carlo method, Chi-Square and Kruskal-Wallis tests, as well as multinomial logistic regression analysis, were used to compare the parameters of the independent variables with attitudes toward corneal donation. Results: The desire of becoming a cornea donor was expressed by 22.3% of the respondents. The multinomial logistic regression analysis was performed with the corneal donation willingness attitudes as the dependent variable (0="I do not want to become a corneal donor," 1="I have not decided whether I want to become a corneal donor," 2="I do want to become a corneal donor") and degree of spirituality, respondent type, gender, age, marital status, highest education level, and employment status as the independent variables. The overall model was significant, χ2 (16)=28.84, p<0.025. Comparing the attitudes of "I have not decided whether I want to become a corneal donor" and "I do not want to become a corneal donor", no statistically significant relationship (p≤0.05) was found with any of the variables in the regression model. The parameter "degree of spirituality" served as a predictive factor (OR 1.39, 95% CI 1.06-1.81, p=0.018) regarding the comparison of "I would like to become a corneal donor" vs. "I would not like to become a corneal donor". Conclusions: To achieve increase in willingness to donate organs or corneas, the factors that determine/predict this willingness must be explored. In this study, "I want to be a cornea donor" was answered by 22.3% of the population. The current study also found that spirituality was found to predict willingness to donate corneas. These findings suggest that enhancing the public's willingness to donate corneas would necessitate an expansion in health policy focus. Alongside current guidelines, this should involve engaging theological schools, religious communities, and formal religious bodies in initiatives to encourage organ/corneal donation. Introduction: When the transparency of the cornea is compromised and all conservative, surgical, or alternative medical interventions prove ineffective, corneal transplantation emerges as the sole therapeutic option. The likelihood of procuring corneas rises when an individual registers as an organ or cornea donor with a transplant organization, particularly if the family is informed or made aware of this intention. This holds true in both opt-in and soft opt-out transplant systems, where the family's decision significantly influences the outcome. Given that brochures are widely accepted as effective health education tools, there's a pressing need to evaluate various informational/educational brochures aimed at enhancing public readiness to donate corneas. Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of an information/ educational brochure on the willingness of the public to donate corneas. Materials and methods: A longitudinal study of within-group design was conducted, from May 2022 to January 2023. The research took place in Greece, mainly in the Attiki region, in the community. The conduct of the study was in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The study participants, 91 non-health professionals/students from the community, first gave their consent, in writing, after being informed of the details of the research project. For data collection, a self-administered questionnaire with closed-ended questions was used. Following the initial administration of the questionnaire (the pretest one), members of the research team gave participants a brochure on corneal donation, kindly recommending that they read/study it. After one to five days, participants were approached again by the researchers and asked to complete a questionnaire again (the posttest one), but this time with one question, the question about their attitude towards corneal donation. For inferential statistical analysis, the McNemar-Bowker statistical test was used to compare the difference in the percentages of each attitude towards corneal donation before and after the intervention. Results: Regarding sociodemographic characteristics, 54.4% of the respondents were male, 43.5% were aged between 36 and 45 years, 53.8% were unmarried, 34.8% had only a BSc degree, and 44.0% were employed. In terms of cornea donor characteristics, 27.5% of respondents were willing to be a cornea donor before the brochure intervention and 50.0% after the intervention. The percentage of study participants willing to become a cornea donor before the brochure intervention in a sample of 91 individuals was significantly different from the percentage willing to become a cornea donor after the intervention (27.5% -25/91- versus 49.5% -45/91-, p<0.001). Conclusions: Community health educators, physicians and nurses could use brochures as a cost-effective and efficient means of increasing public awareness of corneal and other solid organ donation. Health protection schemes such as health insurance and financial assistance provide immense help and support to access health care services, especially to the poor and marginalized section of society. India is witness to low health-related expenditure, and the society's socioeconomic and demographic structure further drops health care access to the new bottom. Consequently, inequality in health care access is highly observed across many socioeconomic attributes. The condition of Bihar, the poorest state of India, is more alarming. The analysis suggests that financial support in terms of universal health insurance coverage considerably reduces out-of-pocket expenditure and thus health inequality. Further, the low health insurance coverage is not solely due to a lack of institutional commitment and implementation process; the cognitive behavior and attitude of people are equally responsible for low health care access. An intensive awareness program to show the benefit of the health insurance scheme and sensitization of people against the social stigma is important to provide better health care access and reduce health inequality. The article presents unpublished, new empirical data on the psychological readiness of Bulgarians to become part of shadowy economic practices, as well as estimates of actual participation in such practices. The data are derived from a national representative survey of the population conducted in 2021, but have not lost their relevance, since the economic behavior of individuals is characterized by a high degree of constancy. The research shows a relatively high psychological readiness for inclusion in the “shadow economy”, and two violations of the labor and insurance legislation are most often encountered in the Bulgarian economy – work without a contract and work with a fictitious contract, in which the person is insured for a smaller amount, but he is paid additional tax-free cash – “money in a bag”. About one-third of Bulgarians are defined as economic deviants (violating laws and regulations), while the other two-thirds adhere to economic conformism (follow laws and regulations) in their behavior. In this context, the question of mastering the “shadow economy” remains open, and its relevance not only does not diminish, it also necessitates the activation of the efforts of the entire society.
