2. Researchers from Jean Verdier Hospital Report on Findings in Hormone Replacement Therapy (Pretreatment With Luteal Estradiol for Programming Antagonist Cycles Compared To No Pretreatment In Advanced Age Women Stimulated With Corifollitropin...).

Abstract

A recent study conducted at Jean Verdier Hospital in Bondy, France, examined the effects of luteal estradiol (E2) pretreatment on the number of retrieved oocytes in advanced-aged women undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. The study found that programming antagonist cycles with luteal E2 pretreatment resulted in a similar number of retrieved oocytes compared to no pretreatment in women aged 38-42 years. The research also indicated that E2 pretreatment may be beneficial in scheduling oocyte retrievals on working days. However, further research is needed to determine the potential benefits of E2 pretreatment in a larger population with decreased ovarian reserve.
