A similar framing of inarticulable formations, of pure multiplicities, marks the respective projects of Deleuze and Laplanche. The absolute exteriority of a disjunctive multiplicity is re-inscribed as a relativised, interiorised trace. This trace-logic of Deleuze and Laplanche has definitive implications where the psychoanalytic subject and the unconscious is concerned. However, there is a difficulty in this logic of accounting for the unconscious formations enumerated by Freud (slips of the tongue, jokes, symptoms etc.). In turning to Lacan, however, the positions of Deleuze and Laplanche can be illuminated (despite their attempt to 'move beyond' him). We see the trace in its material, unconscious substantiality upheld by the function of the big Other as an absent centre to which discourse is referred and through which the speaking subject is revealed as being in a discrepant relation to itself. The big Other, in his function as intimate, yet lacking, alterity, seems to help to resolve the problematic of multiplicity for Deleuze and Laplanche. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

DIFFERENCE (Philosophy) ,PLATONISTS ,ONTOLOGY ,METAPHYSICS ,MULTIPLICITY (Mathematics) ,SOUL - Abstract
This article explores Amerindian perspectivism as a radical counterpoint to Platonism, presenting a metaphysics of transformation, immanence, and multiplicity. Unlike Platonism, which constructs a hierarchical ontology emphasizing permanence and transcendence (Plato, Republic, 509d-510b), Amerindian perspectivism proposes a view where being is not static, but dynamic and relational. Through a critique of central Platonic categories such as form, idea, soul, and body, the article argues that Amerindian thought reveals the contingency of these concepts and affirms the primacy of change and interaction in constituting reality. Viveiros de Castro (1996) argues that the notion of "perspectivism" in Amerindian thought dissolves dualisms by demonstrating that all beings--humans, animals, spirits--are relationally constructed, not hierarchically arranged. The concept of the soul in perspectivism, for instance, is fluid and contextual, connecting all beings--humans, animals, plants, spirits, and objects--through a web of relations. This ontology of transformation challenges Western metaphysical assumptions, offering a new way of understanding existence that prioritizes difference, transformation, and the interconnectedness of all things. The article ultimately suggests that Amerindian perspectivism invites us to rethink our metaphysical frameworks and embrace a philosophy of multiplicity, fluidity, and the creative potential of relations. This article introduces a collection of articles that delve into the concept of tourism entanglements. It emphasizes that tourism is not solely an economic activity, but rather a complex force that intertwines with various aspects of society, politics, and geography. The authors argue that understanding these entanglements is crucial for comprehending the diverse outcomes and impacts of tourism. The article also highlights the importance of adopting an entanglement thinking approach in social sciences, challenging binary thinking and reductionism. The text concludes by introducing a special issue dedicated to exploring the concept of entanglement in tourism, which includes articles on topics such as orphanage tourism, the role of women in a World Heritage city, the impact of the global pandemic on tourism, and the use of vaccine passports for global mobility. Engineering uses duplication to create fail-safe systems. The existence of two system components capable of performing the same function increases reliability, as the supposedly superfluous component can be turned on if the main one breaks down. Although redundancy ensures that many of our modern conveniences such as computers and planes do not crash, this solution has not been extensively explored in a legal context. This article will articulate some of the advantages of redundancy between different areas of the law (administrative, civil and criminal) and at an institutional level (among bodies performing monitoring, investigative, prosecutorial and adjudicative functions in the same and in distinct jurisdictions). Legal efforts to combat corruption around the world provide illustrative examples of the many advantages of this strategy, but also some of its risks and disadvantages. Far from providing a comprehensive empirical analysis of this subject, this article articulates hypotheses to be tested and proposes that the topic deserves more attention among legal scholars than it has received. Philosophy attributes to mathematics the exclusive capacity of constructing pure knowledge - i.e. the thinking (of ideas) - reserving for itself the modes of its representation. In the first part of the article, we briefly trace the reverberations of representation stemming from mathematics in the thought from Descartes, Kant to Heidegger, and investigate how they unfold and influence the contemporary philosophies of Alain Badiou and Cornelius Castoriadis. Although the two share a common ontological root in Cantor's naïve set theory, this aspect of their thought remains relatively unrelated. In the second part, we closely examine the respective usage of the notion of representation and its transmutation to a mathematical concept of inconsistent multiplicity, consequently arguing for a rare, but particularly important point of convergence of the two thinkers. It is this contradictory inconsistent multiplicity that represents an abstract concept for thinking Magmas (Castoriadis) or the Absolute (Badiou) - both conceiving it as the place in which Truth(s) are either ex-nihilo created or eternally residing. This text is an exploration of collaborative thinking and writing through theories, methods, and experiences on the topic of the child, children, and childhood. It is a collaborative written text (with 32 authors) that sprang out of the experimental workshop Child Studies Multiple. The workshop and this text are about daring to stay with mess, "un-closure", and uncertainty in order to investigate the (e)motions and complexities of being either a child or a researcher. The theoretical and methodological processes presented here offer an opportunity to shake the ground on which individual researchers stand by raising questions about scientific inspiration, theoretical and methodological productivity, and thinking through focusing on process, play, and collaboration. The effect of this is a questioning of the singular academic 'I' by exploring and showing what a plural 'I' can look like. It is about what the multiplicity of voice can offer research in a highly individualistic time. The article allows the reader to follow and watch the unconventional trial-and-error path of the ongoing-ness of exploring theories and methods together as a research community via methods of drama, palimpsest, and fictionary. Big numbers are a widely used concept in programming. Typically, we work with numbers from a certain range of values. We know that the multiplicity of integers is infinite. Hence examples of very big numbers such as: 12345678902345678901234567890 are hard to handle because they cannot be stored in 64 bits. Solving the storage and processing of such numbers is both hardware and, especially, software. Modern computer mainframes include operations with very big numbers using registers in which such numbers can be stored in 64 bits. That is, operations with integer numbers up to 2
64 are possible in hardware. Problems arise when the necessary processing uses very big numbers (greater than 64 bits). Hence, the approaches encountered in programming are to create processing algorithms specific to working with big numbers. In this paper we propose an algorithm for the addition of two very big numbers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

Designing within complex service systems implies navigating across a plurality of norms and beliefs that multiple stakeholder groups uphold, designers included. Transformational processes may be challenged by minimum, moderate, or extensive conflict depending on the centrality or compatibility of competing logics. This article reflects on how the complexity inherent in higher level institutional orders of society can support or inhibit the potential of co-design in complex systems, particularly in the public sector. Using the context of public mental healthcare transformation as a backdrop, we identified and reflected on four predominant logics: the logic of state; the logic of market; the logic of profession; and the logic of community. We then developed a set of tools to support reflexivity—the excel Logic Multiplicity Workbook and the Layers of Logics Map—that can be used to take project logics snapshots to represent the perceived strength of project stakeholder logics at the micro, meso, and macro levels and their centrality and compatibility. Three co-design project examples were used to retrospectively develop and refine these tools, and support the process of making explicit the role of competing logics in project challenges or triumphs. While we acknowledge that logics are often highly institutionalized and difficult to become aware of, we value as fundamental the creation of tools to better enable designers to consciously adopt adequate strategies to navigate this complexity. In the light of new challenges posed to processes of deinstitutionalization by Brazil's mental health reform, this study explores the production of existential territories in the city by recording the experiences of users of a psychosocial care center in São Paulo. Using methods based on social cartography, including the creation of affective maps and accompanying participants on routes around the city, it was possible to understand how participants weave multiplicities of living territories and networks throughout their itineraries, breaking free from places instituted by the asylum logic and cementing the principles of deinstitutionalization in the micropolitics of their everyday lives. During this process, the participants'experiences stimulated reflections on the kind of cities we want to build, collectively reinventing urban territories, making them more sensitive and permeable to instituting forces and creating new ways of living together and producing differences. At the same time, they stimulate reflection on how these singular experiences of the city can be incorporated into and enhance the therapeutic itineraries of clinical practices based on the "logic of territory". One of the most prominent methods of Arabic is that it is based on abbreviation, and one of the most famous methods that achieve this is the use of pronouns, which the reader and listener need to comprehend to have a sound understanding and correct and correct follow-up, especially in the issues of (pronouns), otherwise there will be confusion in the acquisition and understanding of the meaning. follower of the sayings of grammarians and linguists in determining the conscience will find that they are multiple, and even fabricated in many places. Which indicates that this multiplicity and this difference have reasons that create ambiguity in this subject, all of which prompted us to study the conscience and its return and investigate its issues, to know the correct methodology in determining the return., its provisions, divisions, and functions), and the second was devoted to (the return of the pronoun on an aforementioned aforementioned), as for the third, it was singled out for (the return of the pronoun on a later date) and the fourth bore the title (the return of the pronoun on an unmentioned one), then we followed that with a conclusion that included the most prominent results. In writing the research, I took a course in which I dealt with each case of the repetition of the pronoun in simplified terms, and mentioned the sayings of scholars in the different places. This work is the result of an effort in which I do not claim innocence of deficiency and error. If I succeed, that is the grace of God, and it is what I hope for. I hope that the ideas contained in this research will be useful and beneficial to researchers and those interested in Arabic and its immortal heritage. It is an effort that I hope will be accepted, and I do not claim innocence from deficiency and error. I suffice that I tried, and praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study considers the simultaneous minimization of makespan and total tardiness for the multi-objective multiplicity flexible job shop scheduling problem (MOMFJSP). A deep reinforcement learning framework employing a multi-policy proximal policy optimization algorithm (MPPPO) is developed to solve MOMFJSP. The MOMFJSP is treated as a Markov decision process, allowing an intelligent agent to make sequential decisions based on the current production status. This framework involves multiple policy networks with different objective weight vectors. Using MPPPO, these networks are optimized simultaneously to obtain a set of high-quality Pareto-optimal policies. Moreover, a fluid model is introduced to extract state features and devise composite dispatching rules as discrete actions. A multi-policy co-evolution mechanism (MPCEM) is proposed to facilitate collaborative evolution among policy networks, supported by a reward mechanism that considers the objective weights. A training algorithm based on MPPPO is designed for learning across multiple policy networks. The effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method are confirmed through comparisons with composite dispatching rules and other scheduling methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

MULTIPLICITY (Mathematics) - Abstract
Clustering is a fundamental data exploration technique to discover hidden grouping structure of data. With the proliferation of big data, and the increase of volume and variety, the complexity of data multiplicity is increasing as well. Traditional clustering methods can provide only a single clustering result, which restricts data exploration to one single possible partition. In contrast, multiple clustering can simultaneously or sequentially uncover multiple non-redundant and distinct clustering solutions, which can reveal multiple interesting hidden structures of the data from different perspectives. For these reasons, multiple clustering has become a popular and promising field of study. In this survey, we have conducted a systematic review of the existing multiple clustering methods. Specifically, we categorize existing approaches according to four different perspectives (i.e., multiple clustering in the original space, in subspaces and on multi-view data, and multiple co-clustering). We summarize the key ideas underlying the techniques and their objective functions, and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each. In addition, we built a repository of multiple clustering resources (i.e., benchmark datasets and codes). Finally, we discuss the key open issues for future investigation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

PERCEPTION (Philosophy) ,PHILOSOPHY of language ,HUMANISM ,METAPHYSICS ,MULTIPLICITY (Mathematics) - Abstract
In Indexicalism Hilan Bensusan brings together a multiplicity of strands in contemporary thought in trying to build a thoroughgoing foundation for a situated metaphysics. In this paper I try to connect the solutions that are specific to the book to the problems identified in two different papers of Bensusan. The author takes a polemical stand against inhumanism as a continuation of the project of the extraction of intelligibilities that is continuous with the history of Western metaphysics. Under this light, indexicalism becomes a way to deal with the will to knowledge. In this paper I try to connect the project of indexicalism with these problems by examining some of the solutions proposed in the book concerning the philosophy of language and or perception, trying to propose an answer to Bensusan's criticisms, through an immanent engagement with the indexicalist position - but in doing so we will not be kept in the confines of what indexicalism might be prepared to countenance. Unforeseen consequences lurk- reversing from within some of the philosophical valences of the position-a transvaluation towards a nonindexicalist position that, nevertheless, gives justice to the situated point of view that is always the causal starting point of contact with the real. A clear relationship between the quantum version of Fisher information and the bipartite system entanglement has been explored recently. Known existing results for some quantum systems having strongly nonlocal correlations are still limited. In this paper, based on the interaction between a two-qubit and squeezed field, we investigate the correlation between the dynamical behavior of qubit-qubit entanglement and the quantum Fisher information (QFI). We focus on the effect of a number of photon multiplicity, low and high squeezing regime of the field on the dynamics of the QFI and entanglement quantifier. We show how the QFI and entanglement quantifier can be affected by the number of photon multiplicity and squeeze parameter during the time evolution of cases of absence and presence of dissipation effect. Our results exhibit the correlation between the entanglement quantifiers and the QFI with respect to the appearance of collapse and revival phenomena of the atomic inversion. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

SOCIAL role ,PRAGMATICS ,SOCIAL context ,MULTIPLICITY (Mathematics) - Abstract
Digging up the significance of the context of an utterance, one should know that 'Utterance' is a small subpart of discourse shared by speaker and hearer, and indicates facts about the topic of the conversation in which it occurs, not to mention that there are also facts about the situation in which the conversation takes in the first place. Having an integrated background among pragmatics, syntax and social role of context, this study attempts at interpreting meaning and how context affects the structure of a sentence. Two hypotheses, however, have been included in this regard. First, context might limit the range of possible interpretations. Second, the information provided by context maybe in contrast with the grammatical explicitness of the sentence structure, i.e., the more information a contexts holds, the less explicit the grammatical structures are, and vice-versa. Using Thomas' techniques (1995), utterance/ force, the researcher has analyzed Fitzgerald's novel, entitled 'The Great Gatsby', to find out the interpreted meaning. Taking Green's (1996:133-35) account into consideration, the identification of sentence structures can be clearly shown. Hence, such an American novel is chosen here because of its richness of meaning multiplicity and its contingency of sentence structures affected by the context. As for the results, it has been seen that context, in all its types, limits the range of possible interpretations, that is, without context it is impossible to reach the intended meaning of the addresser/addressee. Another result is that the relationship between grammatical explicitness and the information provided by the context is often contrary. To this end, the more information a context presents, the less explicit the grammatical structures are. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

One of the most pressing challenges in anti-corruption law is whether and how to coordinate enforcement across multiple agencies, that is to say, under conditions of institutional multiplicity. One approach is modular enforcement, which involves dividing responsibility for enforcement among multiple institutions that are able, but not required, to coordinate their activities. The relatively impressive performance of Brazil's anti-corruption agencies around the beginning of the twentieth century has been attributed to this kind of institutional modularity. We examine whether other similarly situated countries adopted the Brazilian approach. Specifically, we compare the extent to which the modular approach to anti-corruption enforcement was reflected in the national anti-corruption institutions of Brazil and five other South American countries as of 2014. We find little evidence that Brazil's neighbors adopted the modular approach and suggest a variety of political, intellectual and institutional factors that may limit the attraction of institutional modularity outside the Brazilian context. Our analysis also demonstrates the value of an approach to comparative legal analysis which extends beyond the judiciary and the police to cover the full range of institutions involved in law enforcement. The paper discusses the study of multi-stage production with several service areas in order to further optimise the quality of the management of the distribution of jobs. Modelling is carried out and methods of solving the discrete optimisation problem are proposed. As a result of modelling and optimisation of a production system with several areas, a mathematical model of a production system with several workshops was constructed, considering the multiplicity of routes of the incoming flow of jobs for servicing. It is shown that the equality of the probabilities of the full loading of areas between themselves is a necessary and sufficient condition for balanced loading of a production system with several areas. This article intends to provoke ongoing conversations in the early childhood education context about "will to truth," which Glenda MacNaughton regards as the intent to know and determine the "normal" and "preferred" ways to think, act, and feel as early childhood educators. The pervading existence of will to truth amplifies concerns over fixed and determined ways to think and act as early childhood educators because "truth" and systems of power are closely linked to one another. To honour complexity and fluidity in thinking and acting as early childhood educators, the author argues for moving beyond will to truth and offers poetic practice as one possibility to reinvent habitual understandings.
