Abstract

The article discusses a study on the effects of the multi-herbal formula Chong-Myung-Tang (CMT) on spatial memory and cell genesis in the dentate gyrus of aged mice. It cites the 3 kinds of memory enhancement herbs contained in CMT namely the P. tenuifolia, P. cocos extract and the volatile oil of A. gramineus. It indicates that CMT increased cell survival but not cell proliferation in the dentate gyrus of aged mice.
