1. EVALUATION OF THE CARBON PEAK IN HEBEI PROVINCE BASED ON EES ELEMENT-STIRPAT MODEL.

- Abstract
A carbon emission evaluation index system according to the current situation in Hebei province regarded as a typical large industrial province was constructed. And then, EES element model was used to evaluate the relevant data from 2014-2020 and STIRPAT model was used to predict the carbon emissions from 2021-2040. The results shows that: 1) There is a significant correlation in the natural population growth rate, urbanization rate, industrial structure and energy intensity with carbon emissions; 2) Through the scenario prediction, the carbon peak in Hebei Province will be achieved around 2030. This study deepens the knowledge cognition of carbon emission and carbon peak in Hebei Province, and then the following coping strategies are got: facing up to the development situation of carbon peak, clarifying the strategic positioning of the new-type urbanization, optimizing the research regional industrial structure, emphasizing the leading role of scientific and technological innovation.
