Fifty-eight per cent of patients with B-cell malignancies had durable responses to treatment with 131I-Lym-1. Myelosuppression manifested by peripheral blood cytopenia was the radiation dose-limiting toxicity. The mean biologic half-times were 3.3 and 31.2 h for the fast and slow phases, respectively, of the blood clearance and 33.5 h for the clearance from the total body. Nonpenetrating radiation from the blood contributed 0.18 rad and penetrating radiations from the total body contributed 0.18 rad per administered mCi to the bone marrow. The average total contribution from both of these sources was 0.36 ± 0.14 rad mCi-1. Clearances and marrow radiation doses were remarkably constant among different patients and among different therapy doses for the same patient. These results are potentially useful as an initial approximation for other mouse monoclonal antibodies of the same isotype. While radiation to normal marrow from 'spill-over' incident to specific targeting of 131I-Lym-1 on malignant B-cells in the marrow is not addressed in this publication because it is unique for each patient, it should be considered in the case of individual patients.

RESUMELe polymorphisme de la cas?ine a, a ?t? ?tudi? en race Poitevine, dans les7 ?levages au contr?le laitier, sur 388 ch?vreset 28 boucs pr?sents en d?cembre 1993. Chez les ch?vres, la fr?quence des all?les ?forts?en cas?ineas, est de 0,04 pour A, de 0,36 pour B et de 0,01 pour l'all?le C pr?sent dans un seul ?levage; la fr?quence de l'all?le ?interm?diaire? E est de 0,48 et celle de l'all?le ?faible? F de 0,11. Cette race de petit effectif, traditionnellement ?lev?e pour ses qualit?s fromag?res dans la r?gion Poitou-Charentes, se caract?rise par une fr?quence ?lev?e du variant B, et l'existence de 3 all?les de type B (B1,B2et B3). L'all?le B, le plus fr?quent (q =0,21) est l'all?le originel de l'esp?ce caprine, donc le niveau?fort?(Grosclaude et al., 1994), ce qui confirme l'anciennet? de la race Poitevine. Chez les boucs les fr?quences sont peu diff?rentes, mais les risques de d?rive g?n?tique sont importants chez les ?leveurs utilisant 1 ou 2 boucs et dans le cas d'IA avec un nombre limit? de boucs.

Axillary lymph node involvement is thè most important prognostic indicator for breast cancer. Nevertheless, nearly 25% of patients with histologic negative lymph node will develop distant metastasis. Between 1974 and 1985, 201 patients with breast cancer, less than 3 cm, without axillary lymph node involvement were followed in thè “Centre René Gauducheau”. Thè aim of our study was to analyse on this population which clinical and histological parameters were correlated with local recurrence or distant metastasis. We realise a multivariate analysis using thè Cox model. We showed that hormonal status, age and multifocality were significantly and independently correlated with locai recurrences, and that pathologic grading (SBR), tumor localization in thè breast were prognostic factors of distant metastasis.Finally we found that thè nuclear grading (MSBR) 4 or 5 permit to determine in thè population SBR II, a sub-group of women associated with a high risk of metastatic evolution, in which it will be probably necessary to discuss systemic adjuvant therapy to prevent distant metastasis.
