Background: It is reported that circVMA21 has an inhibition effect on sepsis-induced acute kidney injury (AKI). Therefore, the underlying molecular mechanisms of circVMA21 in AKI are worthy of further investigation. Material and Methods: Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) was used to induce HK2 cell injury. CircVMA21, miR-337-3p and ZEB2 expression was tested by qRT-PCR. Cell growth was detected by CCK8 assay, EdU assay, and flow cytometry. Protein levels were examined by western blot. The levels of inflammatory factors and oxidative stress markers were measured to evaluate cell inflammatory response and oxidative stress. RNA relationship as verified by dual-luciferase reporter assay, RIP assay, and RNA pull-down assay. Results: CircVMA21 had decreased expression in AKI patients. Overexpressed circVMA21 alleviated LPS-induced HK2 cell inflammation, apoptosis, and oxidative stress. Moreover, circVMA21 sponged miR-337-3p, and miR-337-3p targeted ZEB2. The inhibitory effect of circVMA21 on LPS-induced HK2 cell injury was reversed by miR-337-3p overexpression, and ZEB2 overexpression abolished the promotion effect of miR-337-3p on LPS-induced HK2 cell injury. Conclusions: CircVMA21 could inhibit LPS-induced HK2 cell injury viamiR-337-3p/ZEB2 axis.

TC4 titanium alloy is widely used in aerospace, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and other fields, which accounts for about 60% of the current titanium alloy products. Water Cavitation Peening (WCP) is a new material surface modification process and has great development potential. The improvement of the water cavitation peening is severely limited by the correlation and coupling between process parameters. Therefore, the influence law of each process parameter is the key problem that needs to be resolved. TC4 titanium alloy as research object is took and four main process parameters of WCP under four working conditions is construct (four factors and four levels orthogonal). The influence of process parameters on three evaluation indexes is studied, such as the surface residual stress, the surface roughness and the microhardness. Then, the fuzzy mathematics comprehensive evaluation is used to optimize. Results show that the peening time has the greatest influence on strengthening effect and the nozzle diameter has the least. The optimized combination is that the nozzle diameter is 1.4 mm, the incident pressure is 40 MPa, the dimensionless target distance is 72.5 and peening time is 27.5 min. The corresponding surface residual stress, the surface roughness and the microhardness can reach −612 MPa, 0.76 μm, and 405 HV respectively.

An in-depth study of friction and wear requires analysis of the surface morphologies and contact status of friction pairs in mechanical systems. The bearing area curve is introduced for the calculation of wear, and combined with the concept of repositioning. The application of fast calculation of wear amount and improved three-dimensional characterization of a bearing area curve is achieved by this new method. The best roughness surface is used as the target surface to extract the target bearing area curve. The influence of microtexture parameters on the bearing area curve is studied to determine the optimal microtexture parameters. The test results show that a matching texture surface has a short run-in time and the lowest friction coefficient after stabilization among the surfaces studied herein, and the presence of a texture changes the wear mechanism from the original adhesive wear to abrasive wear and improves the tribological performance. The best texture parameters and laser process parameters are determined, which provide new ideas for the optimal design of surface topography.

Micro-feature arrays and large-area complex microscopic features on thin metallic sheet play an important role in micro-components. A novel technique-submerged water-jet cavitation shocking-is presented to generate micro-feature arrays on 304 stainless foils in this paper. High-speed camera shadowgraph images of the cavitation cloud were employed to analyze the impact zone. Then the forming depth, uniformity of forming depth and the thickness distribution of the micro-feature arrays were also studied. The results show that the forming region can be categorized into the jet-impact-zone, the bubble-impact-zone and the periphery-impact-zone radially. Bubble-impact-zone peaks in the depth of array micro-forming. The forming depth increases with time while the uniformity decreases with time. The forming parts have a uniform thickness distribution.

Cavitation generation methods have been used in multifarious directions because of their diversity, and numerous studies and discussions have been conducted on cavitation generation methods. This study aims to explore the generating mechanism and evolution law of volume alternate cavitation (VAC). In the VAC, liquid water is placed in an airtight container with a variable volume. As the volume alternately changes, the liquid water inside the container continues to cavitate. Then, the mixture turbulence model and in-cylinder dynamic grid model are adopted to conduct computational fluid dynamics simulation of volume alternate cavitation. In the simulation, the cloud images at seven heights on the central axis are monitored, and the phenomenon and mechanism of height and eccentricity are analyzed in detail. By employing the cavitation flow visualization method, the generating mechanism and evolution law of cavitation are revealed. The synergistic effects of experiments and high-speed camera capturing confirm the correctness of the simulation results. In the experiment, the volume change stroke of the airtight container is set to 20 mm, the volume change frequency is 18 Hz, and the shooting frequency of the high-speed camera is set to 10000 FPS. The experimental results indicate that the position of the cavitation phenomenon has a reasonable law during the whole evolution cycle of the cavitation cloud. Also, the volume alternation cycle corresponds to the generation, development, and collapse stages of cavitation bubbles.

With the continuous expansion of the application range of microelectromechanical systems, microdevice forming technology has achieved remarkable results. However, it is challenging to develop new microforming processes that are low cost, environmentally friendly, and highly flexible; the high-energy shock wave in a cavitation bubble’s collapse process is used as the loading force. Herein, a new process for the microbulging of the water-jet cavitation is proposed. A series of experiments involving the water-jet cavitation shock microbulging process for TA2 titanium foil is performed on an experimental system. The microforming feasibility of the water-jet cavitation is investigated by characterizing the shape of the formed part. Subsequently, the effects of the main parameters of the water-jet cavitation on the bulging profile, forming depth, surface roughness, and bulging thickness distribution of TA2 titanium foil are revealed. The results show that the plastic deformation increases nonlinearly with the incident pressure. When the incident pressure is 20 MPa, the maximum deformation exceeds 240 µm, and the thickness thinning ratio changes within 10%. The microbulging feasibility of water-jet cavitation is verified by this phenomenon.
