The main goal of the article is to characterize the project supply chain and its most important features, including the essence of risk management. An effort was made to fill the cognitive gap, because the topic of risk in such supply chains is very rarely discussed. We would say the literature is focused either on standard supply chains or on their construction versions. The latter is only a special case of the project supply chains. It was shown that the general contractor should strive to use IT support, which should include primarily hardware and software, applications and data, and risk management policy. It was also shown what the author's concept of a simplified project supply chain may look like from the perspective of IT risk management support. It was also mentioned that the approach requires a correct attitude not only towards the general contractor, but also other links in the project supply chain. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
