The main goal of the article is to characterize the project supply chain and its most important features, including the essence of risk management. An effort was made to fill the cognitive gap, because the topic of risk in such supply chains is very rarely discussed. We would say the literature is focused either on standard supply chains or on their construction versions. The latter is only a special case of the project supply chains. It was shown that the general contractor should strive to use IT support, which should include primarily hardware and software, applications and data, and risk management policy. It was also shown what the author's concept of a simplified project supply chain may look like from the perspective of IT risk management support. The tacit knowledge associated with the application and integration of codified knowledge, personal experience, and the fundamental technical engineering knowledge is typically not developed in engineering students as a result of their coursework. Consequently, engineering students are not fully equipped for the demands of design even if their project requires largely codified knowledge. They require significant guidance and mentorship to describe design bases in their own words, to develop criteria for plausible solutions and then to research, identify, and synthesize plausible solutions. For experienced practitioners, this tacit knowledge is inherent to process, systems, and product design and is fully internalized. Filling or partially filling this knowledge gap comprises the invisible curriculum in undergraduate engineering design education. In this contribution, we describe how tacit engineering and engineering design knowledge is developed iii our process design courses. how we structure implicit learning experiences, attempt to improve learning outcomes, and better prepare our developing engineers for early practice. Practical design projects, instructors with diverse knowledge and experience. a flipped course design (permitting intensive face-to-face interaction, mentorship, and creating opportunities to tell engineering stories during classroom sessions), individual and team assessment, and modeled interactions are used to create meaningful engineering experiences that help students develop their knowledge and understanding of the tacit curriculum. We provide reflections on our experiences. We expect our contribution to be of value across all engineering disciplines, and for professional practice development more broadly. Objective: Twitter is one of the world's leading social media platforms, and the most popular such forum for medical professionals. We previously examined how Twitter is used in radiology and suggested methods of optimizing Twitter for radiology education. Here we address those in the radiology community who have not yet embraced Twitter or those who have just begun, offering insights or hacks to make the reader more comfortable with initiating or better leveraging a Twitter account to enhance their radiology work lives.Material and Methods: We analyzed our Twitter account (@ctisus), dedicated to radiology education and based in the Russell H. Morgan Department of Radiology and Radiological Science at Johns Hopkins Hospital, to ascertain how we could best use the platform for radiology education. We also used the healthcare social media monitoring website Symplur to track the use of 7 radiology-related hashtags from March 6 to April 4, 2021.Results: Over the 30-day period, we found that #radiology was used 12,311 times; #RadRes (radiology residents) was used 7864 times; #IRad (interventional radiology) was used 6176 times; #FOAMrad (free and open access radiology education) was used 3661 times; #medicalimaging was used 3317 times; #RadTwitter (radiology Twitter) was used 942 times; and #RadEd (radiology education) was used 697 times. This collection of 7 keywords is among the most popularly used by the radiology community.Conclusions: Our experience suggests that the radiology community is on Twitter to enhance radiology education. Twitter may seem to be a daunting field of misinformation, but radiologists as well as radiology fellows and residents worldwide have found it to be a platform rich with information and opportunity. Twitter allows information and media to be sent instantly throughout the world. The Wayanad Dwarf Catt le have been reared traditionally by the Kuruma tribes people of Wayanad district of Kerala. This paper uses hermeneutic phenomenology with thematic analysis of interviews to explore the life world of the Kuruma, capturing their perceptions of the links between their culture and the natural diversity of their lands both of which have shaped the cultural landscapes of the Wayanad Dwarf Catt le keeping system. The results of the study indicate a unique catt le keeping system with catt le housing, rearing systems and other management practices that have been shaped by the cultural values of the Kuruma and the natural diversity of the area where this Wayanad Dwarf catt le is reared. The results of the study shed light on the perceptions and practices of the Kurma catt le keepers which will have to form the basis for any further intervention by the state and other agencies working for the protection of the Wayanad Dwarf Catt le in this area. Hypertexts are multilinear, granular, interactive, integrable and multimedia documents describable with graph theory and composed of several information units (nodes) interconnected by links that users can freely and indefinitely cover by following a plurality of possible different paths. Hypertexts are particularly widespread in the digital environment, but they existed (and still exist) also in non-digital forms, such as paper encyclopedias and printed academic journals, both consisting of information subunits densely linked between them. This article reviews the definitions, characteristics, components, typologies, history and applications of hypertexts, with particular attention to their theoretical and practical developments from 1945 to present day and to their use for the organization of information and knowledge. We study the class L of link types that admit a K 4 -minor-free diagram, i.e., they can be projected on the plane so that the resulting graph does not contain any subdivision of K 4 . We prove that L is the closure of a subclass of torus links under the operation of connected sum. Using this structural result, we enumerate L and subclasses of it, with respect to the minimal number of crossings or edges in a projection of L ∈ L . The paper explores knots and links of resilient filaments and their connection with tensegrity structures. “Classical” tensegrity of compressed struts and stretched tendons derives from basic principle of woven structures and X modules, which correspond with contacting crossings of resilient knots and links. Vertical and horizontal bending of X modules and joining together their free ends make it possible to substitute tensegrity systems of separated compressed and stretched elements with a complex resilient bended structures with pure compression in the contact points of their crossings. Cloud computing is rapidly becoming the next generation of computing architecture. In the coming years, it will simplify corporate IT (information technology) operations, conceivably lowering the costs of IT maintenance. Cloud computing also enhances IT infrastructure by providing security, compliance, availability, and accessibility. Currently, vendors of cloud computing emphasize scalability and flexibility. One of the most important benefits of cloud computing is its capability of dealing with the fluctuating demands of IT. With service oriented architecture (SOA), software, and computing platforms, the IT infrastructure can be analogous to a power utility as consumers pay only as much as they use. Enterprise 2.0 is a new concept for building a corporate computing infrastructure using cloud computing and Web 2.0 technologies. This paper aims to provide a universally applicable conceptual framework for the Enterprise 2.0 platform by exploring the strategic implications for businesses using the acronym SLATES (Search, Links, Authoring, Tags, Extensions, Signals) [10]. Abstract: It is a common phenomenon that at any gathering, people cluster into small and multiple groups to: chat, exchange ideas, establish relations, and explore collaborative opportunities either within their field of work or even in newer frontiers. Certain relationships remain strong and may eventually lead to fruitful collaborations while others may be short lived. Depiction and/or modelling of such an emergent social networking behaviours are inherently complex. With this motivation, in the context of an academic conference, this research focuses on the development of ‘Networking of Scholars at an Academic Conference (NASC) Model’ using Agent Based Modelling and Simulation (ABMS) technique. Online journalism is negotiated and renegotiated in the newsroom of Journalen, the training website for students in journalism at Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences. Using quantitative and qualitative methods, the paper examines three spring terms of online news production by journalism students, particularly looking at sources, links and their multimedia news production. The findings are compared to the students' professional peers in four news sites in the same period. All five sites are moving towards a convergent news modality. Among the new additions to the 2010 AISC Seismic Provisions are design requirements for eccentrically braced frame links with built-up box sections. Such links do not require lateral bracing in many cases because built-up box shapes have superior lateral torsional stability rela-tive to wide flange sections. The 2010 Seismic Provisions include requirements for built-up box link flange width-to-thickness ratio and other important design considerations. However, the limits on web width-to-thickness ratio default to those used for built-up box beams or columns and are inadequate for links with large inelastic shear and compression strains. Such limits are important for preventing web buckling under shear and/or flexural compression. This paper presents an overview of research on the design and behavior of links with built-up box sections, including the development of recommendations for web width-to-thickness limits and corresponding web stiffener spacing requirements and flange width-to-thickness limits for these link sections. The highlighted research program included derivation of design requirements based on plate buckling considerations; a full-scale, single-story eccentrically braced frame test; a parametric study on the impact of link cross-sectional parameters on link inelastic rotation capacity; and a series of large-scale tests on isolated links. With the advent of VoIP transport and videoconferencing/telepresence equipment at relative low costs, companies started to use a single provider for data, telephony and video, thus causing three types of transport -with different characteristics and requirements- to converge in a single hard link. The current converging networks carry packages related to three different kinds of services (data, voice and video) and one of the usual classification criteria draws a distinction between traffic with strict time requirements and all other services. As bandwidth is always limited, it is necessary to identify and give priority treatment to this kind of traffic over others sharing the same medium. Links play a twofold role on the web: they open the channels through which users access information, and they determine the centrality of sites and their visibility. This paper adds two factors to the analysis of links that aim to draw a parallel between the web and other offline interorganisational networks: the resources that the organisations publishing online are able to mobilise, and the status or public recognition of those organisations. Exponential random graph models (ERGMs) are used to analyse a sample of the web of about one thousand sites, showing that both the economic resources of the producers of the sites (a proxy to their wider pool of resources) and their presence in traditional news media (a proxy to their status) significantly increase their probability of receiving more links, and therefore, their centrality. This adds a sociologically relevant dimension to the analysis of the web that has been disregarded so far but that is crucial to understand the way it distributes visibility. While the current nursing shortage continues, many new approaches from sign-on bonuses to 'fast track training' are being suggested and implemented to ameliorate the situation. Yet, even with these expanded opportunities turnover is still too high. Recent studies suggest embedded factors called fit, links, and sacrifice exist between the employer and employees including nurses that account for current employees staying on their job. Creating a better understanding of embedded issues and creating an open but confidential environment to deal with conflict issues and job problems is suggested as a way to reduce turnover. A specific issue such as an unfavorable job assignment or more complex issues such as unmet expectations can cause conflict and job dissatisfaction. It is suggested that a coaching model can be used to understand the issues that create conflict and provide a method for resolution of job dissatisfaction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The New Zealand government has identified biotechnology as being a potential growth area worthy of special attention and government effort. This paper starts by describing the public policy initiatives by which the government aims to stimulate entrepreneurial activity and growth in the biotechnology sector. A framework for analysing the determinants of innovation is then described based on a synthesis of theoretical and empirical knowledge from various strands of the innovation literature. A series of hypotheses emerging from the framework are then tested using national survey data. Empirical results are then used to assess the extent to which government policy initiatives are supported by empirical evidence. Background: The most popular social networking site in the United States is Facebook, an online forum where circles of friends create, share, and interact with each other's content in a nonpublic way.Objective: Our objectives were to understand (1) the most commonly used terms and phrases relating to breast cancer screening, (2) the most commonly shared website links that other women interacted with, and (3) the most commonly shared website links, by age groups.Methods: We used a novel proprietary tool from Facebook to analyze all of the more than 1.7 million unique interactions (comments on stories, reshares, and emoji reactions) and stories associated with breast cancer screening keywords that were generated by more than 1.1 million unique female Facebook users over the 1 month between November 15 and December 15, 2016. We report frequency distributions of the most popular shared Web content by age group and keywords.Results: On average, each of 59,000 unique stories during the month was reshared 1.5 times, commented on nearly 8 times, and reacted to more than 20 times by other users. Posted stories were most often authored by women aged 45-54 years. Users shared, reshared, commented on, and reacted to website links predominantly to e-commerce sites (12,200/1.7 million, 36% of all the most popular links), celebrity news (n=8800, 26%), and major advocacy organizations (n=4900, 15%; almost all accounted for by the American Cancer Society breast cancer site).Conclusions: On Facebook, women shared and reacted to links to commercial and informative websites regarding breast cancer and screening. This information could inform patient outreach regarding breast cancer screening, indirectly through better understanding of key issues, and directly through understanding avenues for paid messaging to women authoring and reacting to content in this space.
