Abstract

•High rates of neonatal sepsis due to CPEs are associated with a high mortality rate.•NDM- and OXA-48–producing K. pneumoniaeand Enterobactersp.common in neonatal ICU.•Clonal spread of CPEs over the study period suggests endemic situation.•Isolates were susceptible to only two available antibiotics: colistin and amikacin.•Additional susceptibility to tigecyclin, eravacyclin, cefiderocol, and apramycin.
