Our son is a former chorister and organ scholar at St Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin and is, from all I hear, a bit handy at playing the organ. This talent most certainly did not originate from me and on publication of the 1911 census the proof, if proof were needed, was there in black and white. Harry's great-great-grandfather, Tom Jones, was an organ maker who lived at 23 New Bride Street in Dublin and had worked on restoring the organ in St Patrick's. This might explain Harry's fascination with organs and cathedrals. He is now the organ scholar at Truro Cathedral in Cornwall and so myself and my wife Eleanor and 'she who may only be mentioned once' decided it was time to visit, as he never stops telling us how brilliant Truro is.
