The article discusses a study which aims to identify the reproductive performance in Boer goats under semi-intensive management in north-western Croatia over three consecutive years. It reveals that the birth weight of Boer male goat kids was higher compared to female Boer kids. It also reveals that there was on significant effect from goat age, number of kiddings, and birth weight.

The article presents a study on the effect of microminerals on the breed, parity and litter size of two kinds of goats during puerperium. Details of the number, age and reason for choosing Boer and German fawn-improved goats are provided. Levels of potassium, magnesium, sodium and chloride are checked in the blood samples taken every four days, until the 40th day of puerperium. One of the results show that there is no correlation between hypocalcaemia and litter size of kids which is in contrast with previous researchers done.

The article describes the case of an 8-year-old German Merino ram surgically treated for a unilateral scrotal hernia. The ram was diagnosed with abnormal fluid-filled scrotal swelling at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine's Clinic of Surgery, Orthopaedics and Ophthalmology in Zagreb, Croatia. After the surgery, which involved the removal of the ram's left testicle and pathological mass, the ram healed without experiencing complications.

The article discusses a study that determined glutathione perioxidase (GSH-Px) activities in samples of whole blood of fattening yearlings under different storage conditions. For the study, blood samples from v. jugularis were taken from seven healthy male animals aged 6-8 months into Vacutainer epruvettes, and each sample was separated into nine Eppendorf epruvettes. During the first seven days of measuring in all tested samples, the average value of enzyme activity increased. In conclusion, the study suggests determining glutathione perioxidase activity within two days after collection.
