The ITF Tennis Play and Stay campaign has been a crucial initiative to increase the number of tennis players in the world and promote tennis as easy, fun and healthy to all ages, genders, playing standard and physical abilities. The aim of this study was to find out the views on this campaign of those responsible for the participation programmes of the 35 national federations with the largest number of recreational players. These 35 experts responded to a questionnaire developed specifically for this study. The results showed that the 10-and-under competition rule change, implemented by the ITF in 2012, was well communicated to coaches and brings benefits in terms of increased participation, learning and performance improvements in beginner players. In addition, most countries reported that they have implemented the concepts of the campaign both in training and competitions, as well as in coach education programmes. Therefore, it is concluded that, in general, the opinions of the experts within national federations who are responsible for the participation directive and for implementing programmes related to the concepts of the ITF Tennis Play and Stay campaign obtained through this study are extremely positive. - Since the formation of Malaysia, the Federation under the Tunku Abdul Rahman-Tun Razak leadership had to deal with the Malaysia-Indonesia confrontation and also issues in Singapore that were stirred up by Lee Kuan Yew. Continual provocation and pressure from Lee Kuan Yew on the Central Government subsequently led to the expulsion of Singapore from Malaysia. Deputy Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak, one of the core leaders of the Federation, viewed Singapore as a ‘thorn in the flesh’ when it was part of Malaysia. Questions were raised about cause his negative views on Singapore. To date, women are under-represented in most positions of authority, including sport leadership, not only in Poland, but also in most countries worldwide. Until recently, there has been no research on gendering of positions within Polish sports federations. The presented analysis employs Acker's theory of gendered organization (1990, 1992) to explore professional experiences of men and women in positions of sport leadership in Polish national sports federations. The findings, based on 24 in-depth interviews, revealed that gender-based practices maintain gender imbalance in the studied organizations. The studied male leaders demonstrated a significant degree of sexism in their statements and justified gender inequalities by referring to biological essentialism. Further, the assumptions regarding masculinities as associated with leadership positions, liminal gender awareness and gender role stereotyping are the major obstacles faced by women in Polish national sports federations. The aim of this essay is to present a comprehensive review of the collective monograph Evrei (The Jews), published in 2018 in the series Narody i kul'tury (Peoples and Culture). The authors give an overview of the modern developments in Jewish studies to acquaint the reader with the background of the reviewed monograph. Every chapter of the monograph is analyzed in detail, taking into account the most recently gathered ethnographic materials, such as the data recorded by Alexander Novik in Priazovye and Crimea in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and the newest publications on the subject, such as a paper by Evgeniya Khazdan on Jewish traditional culture, published in 2018. The Argentine Constitution, especially after the 1994 Constitutional Reform, established a federal structure of four orders of government: Federal, Provinces, the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and Municipal. Also, Provinces have the possibility to create regions for economic and social development. In this first point, some characteristics are highlighted, such as the tendency towards centralization. The autonomous municipal regime is analyzed in the second point. The municipal regime was inserted in the original Constitution of 1853, but throughout the history there has been a debate about its nature, ranging from autarchy to autonomy. In the 1994 Constitutional Reform, municipal autonomy was recognized, with five aspects: institutional, political, administrative, financial, and economic. In the third point, the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires is studied. It is a City-State, with a nature similar to that of the Provinces and is represented in the Chamber of Deputies and in the Senate of the Nation. Its own Constitution was drafted in 1996. The phenomenon of metropolitan areas of Buenos Aires and Cordoba are briefly considered, in the fourth point. And, finally, in the fifth point, the transcendent relationship between the autonomous municipal regime and the federal republic and the role of cities in the globalized world are reflected. Cognitive interviews have become the gold standard in the federal statistical system for evaluating the performance of surveys. The current study draws on cognitive interview data to demonstrate how cognitive interviews can be used to gain a deeper understanding of the cultural norms of survey participants. Drawing on interviews conducted in preparation for the 2017 Census of Agriculture, this study identifies the disproportionate rates by which male and female agricultural operators are underreported on the form, and the cultural underpinnings of these patterns of reporting. While male agricultural operators are more likely to be underreported because of differentials in decision-making authority within the operation, females are more likely to be underreported for arbitrary reasons. The value of understanding the cultural norms in which participants are embedded and their effects on the quality of the data provided by respondents is discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Less than a decade ago, the High Court said, in effect, that State Supreme Courts have substantially the same entrenched jurisdiction to issue relief in the nature of the prerogative writs as the Constitution confers on the High Court. The New South Wales Court of Appeal reads this narrowly, holding that only three specific remedies are protected, together with the rules and limitations that existed at federation. If correct, we might see the emergence of two bodies of doctrine, the old law of remedies and the new law of 'judicial review' (a concept that emerged only after federation). In an unrelated case, six High Court judges implied a limited privative clause ousting non-jurisdictional certiorari. The seventh judge said that this was unnecessary, because in his view, that branch of certiorari conflicts with judicial review fundamentals, is historically misconceived, and should apply only where the reviewing court can try the matter afresh. Federations are generally a combination of multiple units having difference of interests. This difference of interests generally raises controversies among units as a result of variances that exist in natural and political structure of any federation of the world. These structural differences in the federations lead to asymmetric federalism when some federations try to compensate the natural and structural differences constitutionally to settle issues related to the demands of their federating units. In recent years, asymmetric federalism received great attention of political scholars. Many studies accentuated origin, evolution, conceptual issues and modifications in conceptual framework, effects and degree among world's federations. While the focus here is to explore this element of federalism in the federal system of Pakistan as Pakistan is a federal state, comprising unequal federating units. In doing so, this study examines a large number of theoretical foundations, natural structure of the country and constitutional schemes to observe whether the case of asymmetry exists in the federal system of Pakistan or not? Candida auris has been detected at almost 100 South African hospitals, causing large outbreaks in some facilities, and this pathogen now accounts for approximately 1 in 10 cases of candidaemia. The objective of this guideline is to provide updated, evidence-informed recommendations outlining a best-practice approach to prevent, diagnose and manage C. auris disease in public- and private-sector healthcare settings in South Africa. The 18 practical recommendations cover five focus areas: laboratory identification and antifungal susceptibility testing, surveillance and outbreak response, infection prevention and control, clinical management and antifungal stewardship. Any material or spiritual entity has a graphical evolution explained by "Gauss' bell." We consider that the European Union (EU) has entered an irrefutable downward trend, facing decline in the evolution of the system, and it is in the phase of exhausting its institutions, which can no longer deal with the dynamic of national and specific EU values. In 2015, there was an increase in the importance of national concepts in the EU member states, in which national values are identified to the detriment of the specific values of a union of states which could not define its political option in order to function either as a federation or confederation of states. The EU is a unique experiment in history, wherein, therefore, the main actors want to be strong, but independent in decision-making. Within history, such a thing has enjoyed but a temporary success. This study analyzes the incidence of transaction costs in the regionalization process of health policies in the Brazilian federal system. In this work, regionalized health actions contracted and agreed between federal agencies have assumed a transactional nature. A conceptual theoretical essay of reflective nature was prepared with the purpose of questioning and proposing new approaches to improve the health regionalization process. The main considerations suggest that institutional management tools proposed by the standards and regulations of the Unified Health System have a low potential to reduce transaction costs, especially due to hardships in reconciling common goals among the entities, environment surrounded by uncertainty, asymmetries and incomplete information, bounded rationality and conflict of interest. However, regionalization can reduce the incidence of social and/or operational costs, through improved access to health and the construction of more efficient governance models. The article offers information on the uniformity dominance in the Australian choice of law. It states that the law has been designed for resolving the conflicts between the laws and the nation states and also focuses on ignoring the social, legal and cultural homogeneity in the Australian Federation. Topics discussed include international co-operation, confluence and forum-specific choice of law rules.

The aim of the present study was designing effectiveness model of selected Iraq sport federations based on competing values framework. Statistical society of present study included 221 subjects ranging from chairmen, expert staffs, national adolescent athletes, and national referees. 180 subjects (81.4 percent) answered standard questionnaire of Eydi et al (2011) with five Likert values scale. Content and face validity of this tool was confirmed by 12 academic professors and its reliability was validated by Cronbach's alpha (r = 0.97). Results of Structural Equation Model (SEM) based on path analysis method showed that factors of expert human resources (0.88), organizational interaction (0.88), productivity (0.87), employees' cohesion (0.84), planning (0.84), organizational stability (0.81), flexibility (0.78), and organizational resources (0.74) had the most effects on organizational effectiveness. Also, findings of factor analysis showed that patterns of internal procedures and rational goals were main patterns of competing values framework and determinants of organizational effectiveness in Iraq's selected sport federations. Moreover, federations of football, track and field, weightlifting, and basketball had the highest mean of organizational effectiveness, respectively. This article examines the ways in which Australia's global connections during the colonial period have shaped its contemporary international political identity and the implications of such an approach for the study of Australian foreign policy and international relations (IR). This is particularly pertinent due to recent historiographical reconceptualization of nineteenth century colonial networks, which suggest Australia's connections to India are far more important than previously considered. These issues are explored through a case study of Australia's links with India prior to Federation, employing a discursive analysis of public debate on utilizing Indian indentured laborers in tropical Northern Australia.
