Thirty-nine species of Eupelmidae belonging to seven genera and three subfamilies are listed. Ten of them are new for the fauna of Bulgaria and three for the Balkan Peninsula. New hosts and plant associates are established. Phenology of 37 species is studied. The highest imaginal activity is recorded in late spring (May), summer (June, July, August) and early autumn (September), and the highest variety of species is established during the three summer months, especially in August. The longest imaginal activity among the genera is observed in Eupelmus (seven months) and Anastatus (six months). The studied species are divided into six phenological groups and among them the summer phenological group is the most numerous. As a result of this study, 20 species (51.2 % of the total number) are found in a habitat of type 6210 Semi-natural dry grasslands and scrubland facies on calcareous substrates (Festuco-Brometalia). Chalcid wasps associated with plant galls, Rosa beggeriana Schrenk, Ephedra major (Host) and Salix alba L., were collected from the Kerman Province, south-eastern Iran during 2010-2011. Four species viz., Pteromalus bedeguaris (Thomson, 1878), Mesopolobus fasciiventris Westwood, 1833, (Pteromalidae), Eupelmus martellii Masi, 1941 and E. urozonus Dalman, 1820 (Eupelmidae) were identified, out of which E. martellii and M. fasciiventris are recorded for the first time from Iran. Pteromalus bedeguaris is reared from galls on E. major and R. beggeriana. Mesopolobus fasciventris and E. martellii are reared from galls on S. alba and E. urozonus is reared from galls of all three host plants. Faunistic, cytogenetic and host data are presented for 15 species of Eupelmidae from east and south east Romania (Moldova and Dobroudja). The presence of Calosota viridis and C. obscura (Calosotinae) is confirmed and 11 species of Eupelmidae are newly recorded for Romania, including 3 species of Calosotinae (Calosota aestivalis, C. dusmeti and Eusandalum walkeri) and 8 species of Eupelminae (Anastatus catalonicus, A. lichtensteini, A. ruficaudus, Arachnophaga picardi, Eupelmus aloysii, Eup. fulvipes, Eup. vindex and Eup. maculatus). The male of Eup. aloysii is newly described and new host records are given for 4 species. A lectotype is designated for Anastatus picardi Bernard, 1936 and the status of the alleged type material of Anastatus ameleophagus Bernard, 1935 present in the collections of the Natural History Museum (London) is discussed. Abstract: Anastatus sp. (Hymenoptera: Eupelmidae) is reported as the first chalcidoid wasp which parasitizes eggs of Lycorma delicatula, an invasive species spreading rapidly in South Korea.
