The use of augmented reality (AR) technology in the field of education has emerged as a rapidly growing trend. However, there is an urgent need for more comprehensive research to determine the reactions of engineering students and their acceptance of this technology in laboratory learning. This study investigates the acceptance of integrated augmented reality with e-worksheet (IARE-W) among engineering students in the laboratory learning (IARE-W) among engineering students the electrical machines course (EMC). This research empirically uncovers the factors that influence it based on the technology acceptance model (TAM), specifically perceived ease of use (PEU) and perceived usefulness (PU). Acceptance is indicated by students' attitudes toward the use. A survey-based quantitative research study using questionnaires was conducted to collect data, involving 102 students in the field of industrial electrical engineering. The partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis was used to analyze the research data. The results demonstrated that engineering students had a highly positive attitude toward the use of the IARE-W in the EMC. Additionally, both PEU and PU had a positive and significant direct effect on engineering students' attitudes toward using IARE-W. Furthermore, PEU also had a significant and positive indirect effect through PU as a mediating variable. These findings have significant implications for the development of engineering education and the integration of AR technology in laboratory learning contexts. The world is currently abuzz with the rapid development of technology in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0. Various technological advancements are facilitating progress and accelerating the development of industrial technology. This evolution has led to automation in production processes, transitioning toward digitalization. With the implementation of sensors that provide real-time data, production processes can now be monitored remotely. However, direct monitoring is still necessary at times to periodically check the condition of each operating machine. Therefore, there is a need for technology that can monitor production processes and reduce high maintenance costs. Currently, numerous new technologies are emerging to enhance the performance and efficiency of production processes in various industries. One such technology is the digital twin. A digital twin is a visual representation that offers insights into the continuous operations of a system. This research focuses on an industrial manufacturing monitoring system that integrates the Internet of Things (IoT) and augmented reality (AR) technologies. The system is composed of an application and a prototype machine in the form of a conveyor, which can simulate a digital twin of the prototype machine. It also transmits sensor data and error notifications to the application in real time. The designed system can serve as a prototype for implementing digital twin technology, combining IoT and AR. Climate information can be obtained from General circulation models (GCMs). However, this model has poor resolution, so it is necessary to do bias correction to overcome this problem. This study carried out a bias correction process using the Support Vector Regression (SVR) and Random Forest (RF) approaches. Bias correction is carried out for temperature in Indonesia using the BNU-ESM and MERRA-2 climate models, which act as observational data. The results show that the RF method (RMSE: 0.334; Correlation: 0.694; Standard Deviation: 0.582) is better than SVR (RMSE: 0.341; Correlation: 0.675; Standard Deviation: 0.588) in performing bias correction. This study delineated the development of an augmented reality (AR+Core) mobile application to enhance computer hardware education. By offering 3D visualizations of computer internals, the application enables students to immerse in hardware-related learning without the need of actual devices. This virtual approach ensures accessibility from anywhere, making tangible components unnecessary. The Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) informed the design process, while the Hedonic Motivation System Adoption Model (HMSAM) offered insights into technology adoption. Feedback from 7th-grade participants was overwhelmingly positive, with them acknowledging the app’s utility, engagement value, and user-friendliness. The evaluation and analysis of the practicality of Android-based courseware in enhancing vocational students' understanding of electrical circuits (EC) is the primary focus of this research. A quantitative survey-based research approach was employed, utilizing the Practicality Assessment Instrument to evaluate the practicality level of the Android-based courseware among students. The collected data will undergo statistical analysis using descriptive analysis techniques. The practicality assessment results for each aspect will be calculated as a percentage and grouped into various categories. The findings reveal a high practicality level across different aspects, namely 90.19% for Availability and Accessibility, 89.88% for Performance and Responsiveness, 86.96% for Content Compatibility and Completeness, and 90.06% for Functionality and Resource Utilization. These outcomes demonstrate that the Android-based courseware serves as a highly practical learning medium for enhancing the understanding of electrical circuits. The integration of Android-based technology in the educational environment has proven to be effective and beneficial. These findings offer valuable insights for educators, instructional designers, and stakeholders to enhance modern learning environments. Future research can further investigate the impact of Android-based courseware on learning outcomes and explore additional practical dimensions to comprehensively evaluate its effectiveness. The study aims to provide a reflection on the writing of one of the most controversial authors of the 20th century: Violette Leduc (1907-1972). This article includes the transcription of three unpublished texts from Violette Leduc’s autobiographical novel La Folie en tête (1972), conserved at the Manuscript Department of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France. Le Chat, Les soldats and Le peigne de Simone de Beauvoir are three emblematic examples of Leduc’s stylistic variety and her ability to weave intertextual relationships within her work, as in the case of Les soldats, or relating to other authors of her contemporaries, such as Colette and Nathalie Sarraute in the case of Le Chat and Le peigne de Simone de Beauvoir. The main reasons for food insecurity in the developing world are the rising global population, climate change, and decreasing amount of arable land. Hence, the significance of plant genetic diversity as a subject of research is universally considered important. A significant improvement in the field of molecular genetics includes the apposition of molecular markers for exploring and identifying plant genetic diversity. Molecular markers are now often used in plant breeding research, from identifying the genes that are responsible for the desirable traits to managing different backcrossing breeding strategies. They offer practical solutions to solve the challenges noted in agricultural genomics. In this review article, we have comprehensively reviewed the source of genetic diversity in plants. This review also describes and highlights the application of DNA markers AFLP, ASAP, ASO, CAPS, CAS, Cytoplasmic genome-derived-DNA markers, DGGE, ESTs, ISSR, SSR, RAPD, RBIP, and SNP, which can be used as reliable and efficient tools for identifying genetic diversity of plants. Virtual laboratory (VL) has become increasingly popular in Post-COVID-19 to support practical learning in the remote learning system. The use of VL was responded to by students with different attitudes. This study discusses the factors that influence the perception of Industrial Electrical Engineering (IEE) students in responding to the use of the VL in the learning process of the Electrical Machines Practicum Course. Based on the technology acceptance model (TAM), students' attitudes toward using VL (are influenced by perceived ease of use (PEU) and perceived usefulness (PU). At the same time, PU also acts as an intervening variable. The research involved IEE students of the Electrical Engineering Department, at Universitas Negeri Padang. Data collection was carried out by survey using a questionnaire. Quantitative data were analyzed using variant-based structural equation modelling (SEM), with partial least square (PLS) or PLS-SEM. The results showed a significant positive effect between PEU and PU from the VL used against A. PU's role as an intervener was also positive in mediating the effect of PEU on A so it became more prominent. Thus, it can be concluded that PEU and PU are the factors that must be considered in choosing VL to be applied to a practical learning process in the remote learning system. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Allergen immunotherapy (AIT) is a well-established disease-modifying therapy for allergic rhinitis, yet the fundamental mechanisms underlying its clinical effect remain inadequately understood. Gauging Response in Allergic Rhinitis to Sublingual and Subcutaneous Immunotherapy was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of individuals allergic to timothy grass who received 2 years of placebo (n = 30), subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT) (n = 27), or sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) (n = 27) and were then followed for 1 additional year. We used yearly biospecimens from the Gauging Response in Allergic Rhinitis to Sublingual and Subcutaneous Immunotherapy study to identify molecular mechanisms of response. We used longitudinal transcriptomic profiling of nasal brush and PBMC samples after allergen provocation to uncover airway and systemic expression pathways mediating responsiveness to AIT. Trial Registration: ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT01335139, EudraCT Number: 2010-023536-16. SCIT and SLIT demonstrated similar changes in gene module expression over time. In nasal samples, alterations included downregulation of pathways of mucus hypersecretion, leukocyte migration/activation, and endoplasmic reticulum stress (log2 fold changes −0.133 to −0.640, false discovery rates [FDRs] <0.05). We observed upregulation of modules related to epithelial development, junction formation, and lipid metabolism (log2 fold changes 0.104 to 0.393, FDRs <0.05). In PBMCs, modules related to cellular stress response and type 2 cytokine signaling were reduced by immunotherapy (log2 fold changes −0.611 to −0.828, FDRs <0.05). Expression of these modules was also significantly associated with both Total Nasal Symptom Score and peak nasal inspiratory flow, indicating important links between treatment, module expression, and allergen response. Our results identify specific molecular responses of the nasal airway impacting barrier function, leukocyte migration activation, and mucus secretion that are affected by both SCIT and SLIT, offering potential targets to guide novel strategies for AIT. Despite well-known susceptibilities to other respiratory viral infections, individuals with allergic asthma have shown reduced susceptibility to severe coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). We sought to identify mechanisms whereby type 2 inflammation in the airway protects against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) by using bronchial airway epithelial cells (AECs) from aeroallergen-sensitized children with asthma and healthy nonsensitized children. We measured SARS-CoV-2 replication and ACE2 protein and performed bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing of ex vivo infected AEC samples with SARS-CoV-2 infection and with or without IL-13 treatment. We observed that viral replication was lower in AECs from children with allergic asthma than those from in healthy nonsensitized children and that IL-13 treatment reduced viral replication only in children with allergic asthma and not in healthy children. Lower viral transcript levels were associated with a downregulation of functional pathways of the ciliated epithelium related to differentiation as well as cilia and axoneme production and function, rather than lower ACE2 expression or increases in goblet cells or mucus secretion pathways. Moreover, single-cell RNA sequencing identified specific subsets of relatively undifferentiated ciliated epithelium (which are common in allergic asthma and highly responsive to IL-13) that directly accounted for impaired viral replication. Our results identify a novel mechanism of innate protection against SARS-CoV-2 in allergic asthma that provides important molecular and clinical insights during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Virtual Laboratory (VL) is increasingly being used in the learning process, offering a variety of options. However, when choosing the appropriate type of VL, it is necessary to consider the factors that affect the successful implementation of the VL. This study discusses the factor analysis that affects the vocational students' intention to use a VL in remote learning. Based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Perceived Ease of Use (PEU), Perceived Usefulness (PU), and Attitude towards VL (A) are factors that influence people's intention to use technology. This research was conducted on the learning process of the Power Electronics Practicum for Vocational students. This study involved 105 vocational students from the Industrial Electrical Engineering Study Program at Universitas Negeri Padang. A quantitative survey-based approach using a questionnaire was applied to obtain the research data. The research data was analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that all factors (PEU, PU, & A) had a significant and positive direct and indirect effect (through intervening variables) on the vocational students' intention to use VL to support remote learning. This research aims to determine work willingness after industrial placement of XII-grade students in the study program of electrical power installation engineering (TITL) at VHS 5 Padang. The method uses a quantitative descriptive approach using the similarity of the terms cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. The results of this research indicate the work will of 31 students is likely to be more interested in entering higher education or entrepreneurship. The Data shows that students' work willingness is in the excellent category with a percentage of 55%. It means that 45% of students graduating from 2021-2022 are not ready to work. Musical instruments in Indonesia are divided into two types, namely traditional musical instruments and modern musical instruments, which in this study will be discussed with more than ten musical instruments. Today, there are still many Indonesian people who do not know traditional musical instruments and modern musical instruments due to lack of knowledge and the lack of means to provide visual access to both traditional and modern musical instruments. The purpose of this research is to help people recognize traditional musical instruments and modern musical instruments digitally easily. The method used in this research is the Marker-Based AR method, because it takes a marker on each object to display a clear object in the Augmented Reality application to find information from an image directly. The results of this study are in the form of an Android-based Augmented Reality application with a page display feature, displaying information on 3D objects of traditional musical instruments and modern musical instruments with writing and sound, as well as showing how to use the application.
