Ameloblastoma is a benign neoplasm from the odontogenic epithelial tissue found in the maxillary bones. Ameloblastoma resections result in bone defects. Therefore, grafts are well indicated for rehabilitation. We report a case of a 29-year-old female patient with tumefaction at the anterior mandible. Histopathologic analysis showed a multicystic ameloblastoma. According to the tomographic examination, the lesion measured approximately 2.3 × 1.6 cm in diameter. We decided to perform a marginal tumor resection associated with mandibular reconstruction by an autogenous graft from the iliac crest, fixed with titanium plates. Currently, the patient is undergoing a 7-month postoperative follow-up, showing graft integration and satisfactory bone volume, with no signs of lesion recurrence. Thus, it is observed that this type of graft is considered a good option for maintaining the function and esthetics of patients after resection. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
