To develop an environmentally acceptable corrosion inhibitor Rosa damasceneextract (RD) served as the main ingredient in H2SO4pickling processes. X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR), technique of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), polarization (PP) curves, and tests of weight loss (WL) have all been utilized to examine the inhibitory behavior of Rosa damasceneon C‐steel corrosion in 1 M H2SO4environment. The results show that the extract effectively inhibited the Zn′ corrosion in 1 M H2SO4. The inhibition was more effective at higher concentrations and temperatures. The inhibitory efficiency increased to 93.5% at a higher applied temperature (45°C) and higher Rosa damasceneconcentration (300 ppm). However, utilizing the weight loss method at potassium iodide addition, the inhibitory effectiveness of 300 ppm of Rosa damascenewas synergistically increased from 75.0% to 96.1% at 25°C. Temkin isotherm was congruent with the adsorption process that produced the inhibitory impact on the C‐steel. The chemical adhesion of the Rosa damasceneextract to the surface of the C‐steel was determined by the free energy of adsorption (ΔGoads= 40.5 kJ/mol.). In H2SO4solution, corrosion of C‐steel may be prevented by the powerful inhibitor Rosa damasceneextract. PP and EIS techniques were used to compute %IE of Rosa damasceneextract on C‐steel in 1 M H2SO4.

Different electrochemical techniques, such as electrochemical “impedance spectroscopy (EIS), electrochemical frequency modulation (EFM), and potentiodynamic polarization (PDP), and mass reduction at various temeratures were used to evaluate the inhibitory potential of Terfeziaceae extract as a corrosion inhibitor for Cu in HNO3corrosive arrangements. The adsorption was analyzed utilizing Temkin adsorption isotherm, and the adsorption factors were considered. The detections illustrated that the Terfeziaceae extract shown maximum inhibition capacity (% IE) reached to 98.1% at concentration of 300 ppm, 25°C. “x‐ray electron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) surface study techniques have all supported the existence of a protective layer on the Cu surface. This extract operates as a mixed‐type inhibitor, according to PDP data.” The current research presents highly significant findings in the preparation and design of original, environmentally friendly, sustainable inhibitors with high inhibitory power. The image of Terfeziaceae plant is used to be an inhibitor for Cu corrosion in HCl solution. EIS diagram indicates the adsorption of extract molecules on the metal surface. EFM is nondestructive technique used to determine the corrosion rate without knowledge of the Tafel slopes. The AFM image is used to confirm the adsorption of the extract molecules on Cu surface.

One of the main ways that metallic materials lose their useful qualities is through dissolution; hence corrosion management is crucial for protecting the metal. In this paper, new thienylpicolinamidine derivatives, namely; 5-[5-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)thiophen-2-yl]picolinamidine hydrochloride salt (MA-1517), 5-[5-(4-methoxyphenyl)thiophen-2-yl]picolinamidine hydrochloride salt (MA-1543), and 5-[5-(3-chloro-4-methoxyphenyl)thiophen-2-yl]picolinamidine hydrochloride salt (MA-1516), were utilized as corrosion inhibitors for C-steel in 1.0 mol L−1HCl. Their corrosion inhibiting impact can be demonstrated by experimental methods as chemical approaches (mass reduction) and electrochemical techniques (electrochemical impedance examination, EIS, and Tafel polarization). These methods gave inhibition efficiencies (IE%) of 97.41 %, 93.84 % and 91 % for MA-1517, MA-1543 and MA-1516, respectively at 323 K and concentration 17 × 10−6mol. L−1. The rise in IE% with rising inhibitor concentration and temperature illustrate that the adsorption of these studied compounds is chemisorption, declared via the Langmuir isotherm. Thermodynamic and kinetic parameters are computed and discussed. Polarization research exhibits that these thienylpicolinamidines act as mixed type inhibitors. The outer part morphology of C-steel surfaces and the adsorption of these compounds on C-steel outer part can be checked by atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX). The mechanism of inhibition can be backed by quantum chemical examination and Monte Carlo model. A theoretical estimate proves that the use of cationic derivatives of pyridine is good impediments versus corroding of C-steel in HCl medium.

Two environmentally friendly inhibitors of imidazolium-based ionic liquids namely 3-benzyl-1-hexadecyl-1H-imidazol-3-ium chloride (IL-H), and 3-(4-chlorobenzyl)-1-hexadecyl-1H-imidazol-3-ium chloride (IL-Cl) were manufactured and their chemical structures were confirmed by spectra tools (FT-IR, and 1H NMR). The utilizing of these two new ionic liquids as green corrosion inhibitors for low carbon steel (LCS) in 1.0 M HCl under altered experimental conditions. Mass loss (ML), potentiodynamic polarization (PP), AC impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and surface morphology are take place in this study. The protection performance found to increase with increasing ionic liquid dose and temperature, reaching 92.9% and 95.1% for IL-H and IL-Cl at 120 ppm, respectively. Based on the PP records, the investigated ionic liquids behave as mixed-type inhibitors, influencing both anodic and cathodic responses. The inhibitory activity from these explored ionic liquids was stimulated by their adsorption on the effective surfaces of the steel surface in accordance with the Langmuir adsorption isotherm. The Density Functional Theory (DFT) method is used to analyze the relationship between quantum chemical calculations and the protection efficiency of ionic liquids.

Two new organic based corrosion compounds were prepared from Acryloyl chloride are namely: N,N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl) acrylamide (DEA) and N-(2-hydroxyethyl) acrylamide (MEA). The prepared compounds were studied as corrosion inhibitors for carbon steel (CS) in 1 M hydrochloric acid solution while the efficiency of the prepared compounds were studied through different chemical (weight loss, WL) and electrochemical techniques [potentiodynamic polarization (PP), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS)] in addition to, the theoretical techniques as Quantum chemical calculations, Monte Carlo simulation and the surface morphology study using atomic force microscopy (AFM). The obtained results showed that the investigated compounds are working as good corrosion inhibitors, the inhibition efficacy (%IE) increases with the increase of the compound concentrations. However, the %IE decreases with the rise in the temperature proving that the adsorption of the inhibitor molecules on the CS surface is physisorption, while the polarization data revealed that these compounds are classified as mixed kind inhibitors, that inhibits both anodic and cathodic reactions. Results reveal that DEA and MEA exhibit an excellent %IE of 89.2 and 71.6% at 60 ppm for DEA and MEA, respectively. The adsorption of the inhibitor molecules on CS surface following Langmuir adsorption isotherm. There is a strong matching between results obtained from experimental and theoretical studies. The order of the investigated inhibitors based on the %IE is DEA > MEA.

Improving paper characteristics through natural and cost-effective fillers is a massive issue in the paper industry. In the process of manufacturing paper, inorganic and organic fillers are utilized. Organic fillers are only appropriate for specific applications, and their expensive cost has limited their use. Here, various concentrations of sugarcane press mud (SPM) waste were applied to obtain pure calcium oxide nanoparticles (CaONPs) after the calcination to use as a potential filler in the papermaking by mixing the CaONPs at various ratios (5, 10, 15, and 20%), and paper properties have been investigated. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), selected area electron diffraction (SAED), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) were utilized to characterize the CaONPs produced. The finding reveals that the influence of nano CaO fillers filled at different ratios (5, 10, 15, and 20%) on tensile, tear index, porosity, and smoothness was slowly decreased when increasing the content of nano filler to 35.9, 55.0, 565.7, and 260.3 at (0%) decrease to 30.7, 42.4, 381.6, and 188.4 at (20%), respectively. Also, opacity and brightness were increased from 93.0 and 71.7 at (0%) to 99.0 and 72.3 at (20%), respectively. The previous results revealed that the CaONPs at (20%) represent the optimal owing to the small particle size of CaONPs is satisfactory for provoking the prosperities of paper.

In the present work, the Curam drug was used as an eco‐friendly corrosion inhibitor for the protection of stainless steel 304 (SS‐304) in 2.0 M HCl solution. The inhibition efficiency was determined by mass loss (ML), Potentiodynamic polarization (PDP), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements. The surface morphology analysis carried out using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). ML data prove that with an increase in the temperature, Curam still exhibits good anti‐corrosion performance. The inhibition efficiency of Curam can still be maintained at about 72% at 318 K. The data of electrochemical measurements indicate that Curam is the mixed‐type inhibitor. The adsorption process of Curam on the SS‐304 surface obeys the Langmuir adsorption isotherm. FT‐IR and AFM analysis showed the excellent inhibition performance of Curam for SS‐304 dissolution in an acidic medium. The data obtained by chemical and electrochemical measurements are in good agreement with one another. Curam drug used as an eco‐friendly corrosion inhibitor for protection of SS‐304 in acidic solution. Inhibition efficiency was determined by chemical and electrochemical methods. Curam drug acts as a good corrosion inhibitor for SS‐304 protection. The results showed that Curam drug acts as a mixed type inhibitor. AFM and FT‐IR analysis pointed that a protective adsorbed layer of inhibitor is formed on the metal surface. The results obtained from ML, PDP, and EIS methods were in good agreement.

Primary failure of tooth eruption (PFE) is a rare non-syndromic disorder with prematurely ceased eruption of the posterior teeth, despite clearance by bone resorption of the eruption path. It is generally agreed that most of the impacted teeth are second molars that are deeply seated, and without symptoms. Traditionally, patients with failure of tooth eruption undergo surgical and/or orthodontic treatment. However, patients with PTH1Rmutations have no beneficial effect of such a regime and PFE is therefore important to diagnose. A family with three PFE affected members in two generations, involving both the primary and permanent dentitions, and a novel mutation in the PTH1Rgene are reported. Furthermore, the treatment of the eruption failure was documented in one of the cases. In the present study, the proband initially only had a minor clinical problem, lack of eruption of the primary second left mandibular molar. However, over time several problems appeared in the permanent dentition. Clinical signs of PFE should lead one to look for similar dental problems in related family members and to molecular DNA testing. Confirmation of the diagnosis PFE in young children has the advantage that unnecessary treatment can be avoided, since early orthodontic intervention for these patients is futile. Once growth is complete, several multidisciplinary treatment strategies can partially solve the posterior open bite malocclusion that is characteristic of this disorder. Treatment should be planned in cooperation with specialists who are used to treating PFE patients.

La prévalence de l’obésité est en augmentation préoccupante dans le monde. Elle est de plus en plus constatée chez les patients diabétiques de type 1 (DT1) souvent considérés comme normo-pondéraux ce qui pourrait majorer leur risque cardiovasculaire.

La grossesse diabétique est une grossesse à risque d’où l’intérêt d’un équilibre glycémique parfait.

Le diabète type 1 chez l’enfant est une maladie chronique pouvant entraîner des anomalies de croissance. L’importance de cette diminution de croissance est directement corrélée au degré de contrôle glycémique.

Outre les diabètes de type 1 et 2, l’ADA distingue d’autres types de diabète moins fréquents notamment le diabète pancréatique, défini comme un diabète secondaire à diverses affections du pancréas, parmi lesquelles l’origine néoplasique.
