The growth of 3D construction printing needs appropriate integration into the planning and execution phases of building projects. With this aim, the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction sector (AEC) has been increasingly adopting building information modeling (BIM) systems to synchronize design and construction processes. This study proposes a technical workflow to manage 3D construction printing into BIM models, evaluating various procedures according to construction element features. Based on mature software platforms, the research details the data transfer process using a case study of a single-story home. The case delves into design procedures for constructing walls of varied shapes, adjustments in width, joints, openings, textures, fillings, and the insertion of reinforcements and services while also discussing requirements of other building elements. Work steps for managing design information and controlling printing machines are described. The study's outcome presents a comprehensive information flow, encompassing model segmentation, geometric data transfer, adjustments of details, and the generation of printing paths. Then, it is offered a discussion that underlines the importance of a synergistic digital information flow that merges both design and execution phases, promoting construction efficiency and the embrace of innovative technologies. Background: Sarcomas are the most common type of cardiac malignancy, but they are extremely rare. Within this group, angiosarcomas have the highest frequency, followed by undifferentiated sarcomas. This type of tumor has a poor prognosis and a high recurrence rate. Information about these tumors is limited, relying mainly on case reports and autopsy series. The purpose of this case report is to detail the multifaceted approach to diagnosing and managing an undifferentiated cardiac sarcoma and contribute to the literature. Case presentation: A 28-year-old man presented with dyspnea and chest pain, which had developed progressively over several weeks. Physical examination revealed low blood pressure, elevated heart rate, and diminished heart sounds. Imaging, including a CT scan, identified a hypodense mass in the right ventricle. Further evaluation through echocardiograms and contrast angiotomography confirmed a mass causing right ventricular obstruction. Part of the tumor was surgically removed and diagnosed as cardiac sarcoma. Histopathological analysis of the mass showed an undifferentiated cardiac sarcoma. Conclusion: This case underscores the significance of including cardiac tumors as a potential cause when diagnosing cardiac masses. Oviductal (OF) and uterine (UF) fluids are a complex mixture of ions and macromolecules dissolved in water, derived from the secretions of secretory cells and transudates of the circulatory system. Through proteomics, OF and UF have been analyzed in different domestic species throughout the estrous cycle or during the first days of pregnancy. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the volume, osmolarity, concentration and distribution pattern of proteins, as well as the identification of OVGP1, HSP70 and ezrin proteins for their importance in reproductive physiology, in OF and UF from adult criollo type domestic sheep during the early luteal phase of the estrous cycle. An average of 3.2±1.5 µL OF and 17±0.5 µL UF per reproductive system were obtained; osmolarity was 343±20.8 mOsm kg-1 and 280±96.2 mOsm kg-1 and protein concentration was 71.9±23.8 g L-1 and 21.8±1.1 g L-1, respectively. In the protein distribution pattern, 20 bands were observed in the OF and 14 bands in the UF. Of these, 14 and 8 were specific for OF and UF, respectively, and 6 were common for both. The spectra of the protein molecular weights were 24-324 and 29-353 kDa for OF and UF, respectively. The presence of OVPG1, HSP70 and Ezrin proteins in both fluids was identified, being in greater quantity in the OF (P < 0.0005). The volume recovered from the UF was five times greater than that of the OF. Both osmolarity and protein concentration were higher in OF than in UF (1.2 and 3 times higher). The pattern of protein distribution between the OF and UF was different, being more complex in the OF. Background and Purpose: Trans-spinal direct current stimulation (tsDCS) is a noninvasive stimulation technique that applies direct current stimulation over spinal levels. However, the effectiveness and feasibility of this stimulation are still unclear. This systematic review summarizes the effectiveness of tsDCS in clinical and neurophysiological outcomes in neurological patients, as well as its feasibility and safety. Methods: The search was conducted using the following databases: PEDro, Scopus, Web of Science, CINAHL, SPORTDiscus, and PubMed. The inclusion criteria were: Participants : people with central nervous system diseases; Interventions : tsDCS alone or in combination with locomotion training; Comparators : sham tsDCS, transcranial direct current stimulation, or locomotion training; Outcomes : clinical and neurophysiological measures; and Studies : randomized clinical trials. Results: Eight studies with a total of 143 subjects were included. Anodal tsDCS led to a reduction in hypertonia, neuropathic pain intensity, and balance deficits in people with hereditary spastic paraplegia, multiple sclerosis, and primary orthostatic tremor, respectively. In contrast, cathodal tsDCS only had positive effects on balance and tremor in people with primary orthostatic tremor. No severe adverse effects were reported during and after anodal or cathodal tsDCS. Discussion and Conclusions: Although certain studies have found an effect of anodal tsDCS on specific clinical outcomes in people with central nervous system diseases, its effectiveness cannot be established since these findings have not been replicated and the results were heterogeneous. This stimulation was feasible and safe to apply. Further studies are needed to replicate the obtained results of tsDCS when applied in populations with neurological diseases. Electrical microcurrent therapy (EMT) consists of the application of low intensity (μA) currents that are similar to endogenous electric fields generated during wound healing. To examine the effectiveness and safety of EMT for improving wound healing and pain in people with acute or chronic wounds. Randomized clinical trials (RCTs) assessing the effectiveness of EMT in wound healing published up to August 1st, 2020 were included. The main outcomes were wound surface area, healing time, and number of wounds healed. Secondary outcomes were pain perception and adverse events. A quantitative analysis was conducted using the inverse variance and Mantel-Haenszel methods. Eight RCTs were included in the qualitative summary and seven in the quantitative analysis (n = 337 participants). EMT plus standard wound care (SWC) produced a greater decrease in wound surface [mean difference (MD) = -8.3 cm2; CI 95%: −10.5 to −6.0] and healing time (MD = -7.0 days; CI 95%: −11.9 to −2.1) that SWC alone, showing moderate and low certainty in the evidence, respectively. However, no differences were observed in the number of healed wounds [risk ratio = 2.0; CI 95%: 0.5 to 9.1], with very low quality of evidence. EMT decreased perceived pain (MD = -1.4; CI 95%: −2.7 to −0.2), but no differences in adverse effects were noted between groups (risk difference = 0.05; CI 95%: −0.06 to 0.17). EMT is an effective, safe treatment for improving wound area, healing time, and pain. Background: Alterations in resting metabolic rate (RMR), the largest component of daily total energy expenditure, with aging have been shown in various studies. However, little is known about the associations between RMR and health outcomes in later life. Aims: To analyze whether RMR is associated with incident disability and mobility decline in a 10-year longitudinal study, as well as the moderating role of frailty in these associations. Methods: Data from 298 older adults aged 70 and over from the Frailty and Dependence in Albacete (FRADEA) study in Spain were used, including a baseline measurement in 2007–2009 and a follow-up measurement 10 years later. RMR was measured by indirect calorimetry. Outcomes were incident disability in basic activities of daily living (BADL, Barthel Index), incident disability in instrumental ADL (IADL, Lawton index), and mobility decline (Functional Ambulation Categories scores). Fried's frailty phenotype was used as an indicator of frailty. Logistic regression analyses were conducted. Results: Fully adjusted and stratified analyses revealed that only in the pre-frail/frail group, a higher RMR was associated with a lower risk of incident BADL disability (OR = 0.47, 95% CI = 0.23–0.96, p = 0.037), incident IADL disability (OR = 0.39, 95% CI = 0.18–0.84, p = 0.017), and mobility decline (OR = 0.30, 95% CI = 0.14–0.64, p = 0.002). Conclusions: To our knowledge, this is the first study looking at the associations between RMR and functional health using a longitudinal research design. The results suggest that RMR could be used as an early identifier of a specific resilient group within the pre-frail and frail older population, with a lower risk of further health decline. To investigate the association between fatigue and clinical and demographic variables in people with spinal cord injury (SCI). Five databases (MEDLINE, Physiotherapy Evidence Database, Cochrane, Google Scholar, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health) were searched up to November 2021. Observational studies that reported the association between fatigue and clinical and demographic variables in English or Spanish were eligible. Reviews, qualitative research studies, and nonoriginal articles were excluded. Twenty-three of the 782 identified studies met the inclusion criteria for the meta-analysis. Two researchers independently extracted the data. The strength of the association between each factor and fatigue was determined by the effect size. When the results of the effect size were expressed with different statistics, the correlation coefficient was the preferred estimation. The risk of bias was assessed using the Appraisal Tool for Cross-Sectional Studies and the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale. A pooled analysis of the associations between fatigue and 17 factors was performed. A direct association was found between fatigue and 9 factors (sorted by effect size): anxiety (r =0.57; 95% CI, 0.29-0.75), stress (r =0.54; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.26-0.74), depression (r =0.47; 95% CI, 0.44-0.50), pain (r =0.34; 95% CI, 0.16-0.50), analgesic medication (r =0.32; 95% CI, 0.28-0.36), assistive devices (r =0.23; 95% CI, 0.17-0.29), lesion level (r =0.15; 95% CI, 0.07-0.23), incomplete SCI (r =0.13; 95% CI, 0.05-0.22), and medication (r =0.12; 95% CI, 0.01-0.23). An inverse association was found with 3 factors (sorted by effect size): self-efficacy (r =−0.63; 95% CI, −0.81 to −0.35), participation (r =−0.32; 95% CI, −0.58 to −0.001), and physical activity (r =−0.17; 95% CI, −0.28 to −0.05). No association was found with age, sex, educational level, time since injury, and spasticity. Several factors were associated with fatigue in people with SCI, with those related to mental health showing the strongest associations. Much reproductive health research on the Latina population overlooks heterogeneity by national origin, nativity, and age and also ignores how U.S.-based populations differ from those in "sending" nations. The purpose of this study is to describe a history of adolescent birth, age at first sex, and contraceptive use at first sex in the Mexican-origin population in both the United States and Mexico. We developed a binational dataset merging two comparable nationally representative cross-sectional surveys in the United States and Mexico and used covariate balancing propensity scores to balance the age structure of our four samples: U.S.-born Latinas of Mexican origin, foreign-born Latinas of Mexican origin, U.S.-born non-Latina Whites, and Mexican women residing in Mexico. We used a negative binomial regression and calculated the predicted probability of experiencing at least one adolescent birth for each ethnicity/nativity group, stratified by 5-year age group. We also described age and contraceptive use at first sex. Foreign-born Latinas of Mexican origin and Mexicans in Mexico had similar adjusted probabilities of reporting an adolescent birth (30.1% and 29.9%, respectively), which were higher than those of Mexican-Americans (26.2%) and U.S.-born non-Latina Whites (11.6%). History of an adolescent birth is declining across all four groups among younger ages. Differences do not appear to be driven by the timing of first sex but by contraceptive use, which is increasing among younger age groups. Access to and use of effective contraception rather than timing of initiation of sexual activity is a key determinant of U.S. Latina and Mexican adolescent births. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The objective was to analyze the attitudes and knowledge of future accounting science professionals in a Colombian university regarding tax evasion. Methodologically, the research was descriptive and field design with quantitative methods. The sample consisted of 325 students. The instrument used was a Likert-type questionnaire with five alternatives. The results show a deficient level of subjective intention of the evasive behavior of potential accounting science professionals. Therefore, it was concluded that the attitudes and knowledge that future accounting science professionals have towards evasion would depend on the qualities, skills and perspectives necessary to satisfy the growing demand for prospective and complete information from companies and, at the same time, gradually satisfy the behaviors to maintain their technical excellence.
