Abstract

The article explains the rationale of accounting and the consideration that must be noted when reporting finances. It outlines four basic principles that are applicable to accountants when preparing accounts and offers some business transaction examples illustrating the principles. It also describes what parts that made up financial statements, and provides descriptions of expense, liabilities, accrual basis of accounting and internal controls. In addition, it presents two charts depicting the income statement and balance sheet for the year ended June 30, 2007 of the Labour Market Team Inc.
