The article discusses the outcome of the implementation of the continuous quality improvement (CQI) program to reduce post-percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) length of hospital stay (LOHS) at a tertiary facility university hospital in Newark, New Jersey. It cites the procedures and routines established under the program and notes how the program affected PCI volume. In conclusion, it notes that the program's goal of increasing early post-PCI discharge is attainable in 95%.
