Motivated by economic conditions, a great number of gas turbines' have been employed in China for power generation. High reliability and availability constraints underscore the need for a modern maintenance information system. This paper describes a non-linear gas path analysis technique based system, which is capable of providing the information of maintenance intervals of gas path components. This system broadly consists of two core modules: engine simulation and engine diagnostics. Data provided by GE mark V system are processed by diagnostics programs developed in LabVIEW environment. The results of diagnostics module are then utilised for condition maintenance decision. The application to PG9171E engine shows that this system has the advantage of high accuracy and is efficient on gas turbine performance analysis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
