While the literature is abundant on hand therapy assessment and treatment of nonsurgical thumb carpometacarpal (CMC) osteoarthritis (OA), clarity and uniformity are meager, making it a desirable diagnosis to establish expert consensus. This study aimed to ascertain if consensus exists for the assessment and treatment of nonsurgical management of thumb CMC OA in the hand therapy clinical setting. This was a consensus paper via the modified Delphi approach. A modified Delphi method was used to determine consensus among an expert panel, including hand therapists and hand surgeons, via two online surveys. A consensus paper steering committee (from the American Society of Hand Therapist's research division) designed the surveys and analyzed responses. Consensus was established as 75% agreement among the expert panel. Demographic information was collected from the expert panel. The expert panel included 34 hand therapists and seven hand surgeons. The survey response rates were 93.6% for the first survey and 90.2% for the second survey. Consensus recommendations were classified according to the World Health Organization categorization. These included evaluating the body structures for clinical signs/clinical testing and body functions for pain, range of motion for palmar abduction, radial abduction, opposition, and thumb metacarpal phalangeal flexion/extension, and grip and tripod pinch strength. Further consensus recommendations were for the assessment of function using a region-specific, upper extremity patient-reported outcome measure (activity and participation), environmental factors, outcome expectation, and illness perception within the patient's unique environmental and social contexts. Treatment recommendations included the use of an orthosis during painful activities, a dynamic stability program (stable C posture, release of tight adductors, and strengthening of stabilizers), patient education, joint protection techniques, adaptive equipment, and functional-based intervention. Due to its flexibility, accessibility and the increasing importance of digital literacy, online learning has gained priority in the last few years. However, several challenges have led students to resist it. Predicting students’ attitudes towards online learning could assist educators and educational institutions in addressing these challenges and enhancing its effectiveness. This paper presents a Learning Attitude Prediction Model (LAPM) that can detect students’ attitudes from their informal Arabic texts. To generate the desired LAPM, five machine learning algorithms and three different approaches for text representation are employed. In addition, handling stop words is another important issue when dealing with informal Arabic text. Two scenarios are commonly adopted: preserving and eliminating stop words. The best result was obtained when using a support vector machine (SVM) classifier coupled with the term frequency-inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) approach and preserving stop-words, achieving an F1-score of 85.4%. Therefore, an effective LAPM could be developed to predict students’ attitudes. Using LAPM, educators and educational institutions can monitor students’ attitudes toward online learning and provide personalized support to individual students. There are increasing pressures on firms to adjust to the major global challenges of climate change and rapid developments in digital technologies. To date, the impacts of these two challenges on firms have largely been examined as separate issues. However there are suggestions of overlap, with the potential of digital technologies to help economies and firms shift to greener production methods. This paper provides a novel contribution to this literature on a "twin transition" by examining for the first time the overlap at a firm level between climate actions and digitalisation. The data are drawn from a large-scale survey of 3,000 firms in Ireland in 2020. The report includes novel questions on energy use, climate adaption priorities and digital strategies along with a wide range of firm characteristics. Our key outcome variables are the degree of digitalisation in the firm, if it has a climate plan and does it implement climate actions such as monitoring emissions. We find considerable overlap between having a climate and a digital plan in place across firms, while controlling for a range of other firm characteristics. At the same time, we find a reasonably large share of firms have positive attitudes to the importance of climate planning but without reporting corresponding concrete actions, suggesting a gap for policy to address. A key challenge faced by extension projects is to design and implement effective feedback collection processes to improve service delivery and demonstrate impact to funders. We used standardised evaluation forms with questions relating to the KASA (Knowledge, Attitudes, Skills and Aspirations) framework to capture impact on key precursors to practice change. Attendee feedback was documented at the end of each extension activity. Grower feedback highlighted opportunities to enhance service delivery while also generating powerful quantitative and qualitative data about the impact of the project on KASA. This information was used to inform the design of activities in the latter part of the project. The data discussed in this paper is collated feedback from all project activities over a three-year timeframe of 2019-2022. Spacecraft reorientation with attitude pointing constraints and the uncertainty of inertia and external disturbance is investigated in this paper. By introducing the potential function into the design of non-singular fixed-time sliding mode surface, the proposed controller can achieve fixed-time convergence and the convergence time of attitude error can be predetermined by selecting appropriate parameters. Meanwhile, the attitude pointing constraints can be satisfied all the time. The designed sliding surface and potential function have two equilibrium points, which guarantees the unwinding-free performance. Furthermore, an adaptive sliding mode control scheme is developed to handle the system lumped disturbance. Rigorous Lyapunov analyses are employed to ensure practical fixed-time closed-loop stability in the presence of system disturbance uncertainties and attitude pointing constraints. Therefore, the fixed-time stability, the feasibility of attitude pointing constraints and disturbance rejection are achieved simultaneously with the proposed controller. Purpose: This study analyzes the changes in feelings, attitudes, and behaviors of the audience after watching the Public Service Advertisements (PSA) and better evaluates which emotions are more acceptable to the audience of the PSA. Design/Methodology/Approach: In this study, 217 audiences from Eastern and Western nations were chosen to witness the effects of several emotionally intense Public Services Advertisements and gather data to assess the shifts in opinion and behavioural influences. Findings: Based on the results of the study, it can be shown that many social groups exhibit favorable responses to Public Services Advertisements (PSA) in terms of emotional effect perception, namely in relation to fear, comedy, and compassion. These findings indicate a generally good trend across all levels of analysis. Differences in audience attitudes and behavioural changes brought on by various levels of perception of advertising impact emerge under the influence of background circumstances. Conclusion: The emotional orientation have a favorable impact on the attitude and conduct of the audience, serving as a source of motivation, induction, and guidance. Research Limitations/Implications: This paper analyzes audience cognitive and behavioral research from only the emotion-oriented effect, and the actual emotion is inextricably linked with emotions and psychology. Some of the parts that have not yet been covered will be further studied in the future when conditions permit. Practical Implications: It can help trigger the audience's emotional cognition, form longterm attention to public welfare information, and improve the possibility of changing the behavior of the public. This paper is devoted to dealing with the problem of global attitude synchronization for quaternion-based multiple rigid bodies, regardless of the general directed topologies of networks and arbitrary initial orientations of rigid bodies. A novel canonical quaternion is constructed to represent all physical attitudes of rigid bodies such that the pseudo-synchronization of their quaternion representations (namely, the quaternions' vector parts of all rigid bodies reach agreement on some identical value, whereas their scalar parts do not) can be precluded. Moreover, to reduce unnecessary communication requirements of rigid bodies, a hybrid triggering mechanism involving both the time regulation and neighbors' non-real-time information is proposed, with which a distributed protocol is developed by leveraging the constructed canonical quaternion. It is shown that the presented protocol for rigid bodies over directed networks can simultaneously realize the global attitude synchronization and naturally exclude the Zeno behavior. Oleotourism is practiced and offered in areas with a strong tradition of olive oil production having ancient olive groves. While locals of olive growing areas often have a strong linkage with this cultivation, either for professional or personal reasons, scientific research about Oleotourism has little explored the residents' perspective, focusing on its demand. This research acknowledges that, due to the intense personal and professional connection that residents have with this cultivation, their attitude and positive disposition towards developing this kind of tourism cannot be ignored and may play a decisive role in its success. The paper explores the residents' attitude and their rational and emotional response to Oleotourism. The cognitive and affective factors are tested in a sample of 378 individuals using an online survey. Data have been analyzed with structural equations models (PLS-SEM). The results confirm that the rational perceived benefits induce the locals' supportive attitude, but affective and emotional elements are also influential that is the practices that locals love to do are also likely to be supported by them. Appleby New Fair has been a significant event in the Gyspy, Roma and Traveller (GRT) calendar for over 100 years. Because of the Fair, the town of Appleby in Cumbria (England) has become a "mecca", 'sacred' to GRT communities. Yet new legislation has put the Fair's future in doubt, making it illegal to 'reside or intend to reside on land without the permission of the owner or occupier'. This legislation therefore threatens both an event and a way of life. This paper focuses on the Appleby New Fair, but not from the perspective of the GRT communities. Rather, this study is focused on local perceptions of the Fair and specifically therefore those 'owners and occupiers' in whose hands the future of the Fair will likely rest. The paper presents the results of a questionnaire survey conducted amongst local residents in 2021, concluding that the Fair does not have local support. In reaching this conclusion, the survey revealed significant information around perceptions of authenticity and heritage, touching also on identity and tradition, thus extending the implications of this study far beyond Appleby. This paper investigates the problem of fixed-time attitude coordinated control for multi-spacecraft systems with unknown external disturbance. Firstly, a distributed fixed-time observer is introduced to estimate the states of the virtual leader. The observer can track the leader completely in a fixed time without dependence on the initial conditions of the leader and observer. Then, we propose a novel nonsingular fixed-time sliding mode tracking controller to address the fixed-time attitude tracking problem. It is noteworthy that the requirement on initial conditions of spacecraft is removed in the proposed nonsingular sliding mode controller. Due to the robustness of sliding mode control, the influence of external disturbance can be eliminated, such that each spacecraft can track desired attitude trajectories precisely in a fixed time. Hence, the fixed-time attitude coordination for multiple spacecraft can be achieved. Finally, numerical simulation results and comparisons reveal the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms. • Firstly, a novel nonsingular fixed-time sliding mode controller is proposed to solve the singularity problem of terminal sliding mode (TSM). We adopt a novel area division method to avoid the singularity of fixed-time TSM and obtain a more precise estimation of convergence time. • Secondly, compared with existing finite-time attitude cooperative control methods, the fixed-time control scheme adopted in this paper has more advantages. In recent decades, anti-immigrant, racist and nationalist attitudes have become increasingly mainstream, transforming public debates on immigration and immigrants in Europe and beyond. These attitudes and sentiments have been widely disseminated and amplified through digital communication, including commercial social media platforms. To better understand the relationship between racism and digital communication, it is necessary to move beyond media-centric explanations and simplified discussions of online hate speech and platform regulation. Therefore, this paper proposes a multi-theoretical approach to digital racism, i.e., racist content produced and circulated online. The paper presents an understanding of digital racism in relation to four perspectives: networked affect, nationalism, masculinity and conspiracy thinking. It takes a relational approach to these theoretical perspectives and discusses how they could be utilized to understand and analytically approach digital racism at the macro, meso and micro levels. In this study, the author compares the academic performance and attitudes of two groups of first-semester calculus students at a small, private university. A control group completed traditional paper-and-pencil homework, while an experimental group completed homework using an online system. Results show an improvement in performance on quizzes and final exams of the experimental group. Furthermore, student survey responses indicate higher satisfaction with the online system. The re-analysis of Nguyen and Benet-Martínez's (2013) meta-analytic data and a new meta-analysis of longitudinal studies by Bierwiaczonek and Kunst (2021) showed that the relationship between acculturation and adaptation is weak and that the effect size for unbiased results for integration may not differ from zero. These findings pose a major challenge to acculturation theory and research where the premises that acculturation is reliably related to adaptation and that integration is the most adaptive strategy are widely accepted. In this paper I consider how we as acculturation scholars could respond to this challenge. First, I summarize the results of Bierwiaczonek and Kunst's (2021) meta-analytic studies and the response by Grigoryev et al. (2023), noting that the findings reported in both papers are characterized by small effect sizes and large amounts of heterogeneity. I then consider what single studies can tell us about acculturation and adaptation, highlighting the influence of methodological and contextual factors on this relationship. Finally, I synthesize research on cultural identity configurations, bicultural identity integration and cultural identity styles to show how each program of research on cultural identity integration leads to different, but more nuanced, conclusions about the relationship between acculturation and adaptation. To advance acculturation theory and research I argue that we should reframe our questions from "to what extent are acculturation and integration related to adaptation?" to "how and when are acculturation and integration related to adaptation?" The aim of this paper is to discuss the significance of the intersectionality framework for addressing prejudices, racism and inequalities in nursing education and clinical learning environments. Discrimination and racism against nursing students and educators based on their gender, ethnicity, race and social identities is well-documented in the nursing literature. Despite documented discrimination and incivility based on intersectional factors, it is reported that often nurse educators show limited interest in the culture, diverse experiences and values of nursing students with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Discussion paper The discussion was based on contemporary literature about intersectionality, discrimination and racism in nursing. We completed a cursory search of literature in nursing education journal and selected nursing and health science databases. This was not a formal literature review. Using a fictional example, the application of intersectionality to address inequalities in educational settings is illustrated. Intersectionality is an invaluable tool for examining interwoven power relations and power struggles arising from racial, gender, ethnic, religious and sexuality and disability-related differences. Nurse educators, students and leaders should be more cognizant of their preconceived views, sociocultural stereotypes and varied forms of sociocultural oppression affecting their interactions with each other in clinical learning environments. Incorporating intersectionality can address prejudices, racism and inequalities arising due to sociocultural, ethnic, power-related and intergenerational issues among educators, students and other personnel involved in creating clinical learning environments. The emergence of the metaverse industry is a potential new engine of economic growth. The government, which has a stake in every innovation, should respond by providing a favorable business environment. Metaverse companies, for their part, need to measure the efficiency of the innovation process and the rationality of resource allocation to sustain its competitive edge. However, the relationship between government subsidies (GS) and companies' innovation efficiency is unclear. Based on a three-stage data envelopment analysis (DEA) model and a Tobit-regression model, this study analyzes the relationship between government subsidies and innovation efficiency accounting for the influence of environmental variables on innovation performance. There were several main findings: (1) Using a three-stage Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) model, the first-stage efficiency is far from the production frontier. After removing external environmental variables and random disturbance factors, the third stage efficiency increased notably due to the increase of pure technical efficiency. Government support and regional innovation atmosphere positively influence the innovation efficiency. This paper further classifies the 119 companies into four categories based on pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency. (2) Drawing upon the Tobit-regression model, the paper reveals that government subsidies have positive influence on the innovation efficiency of metaverse listed companies. The present paper offers the rule of existential generalisation (EG) that is uniformly applicable within extensional, intensional and hyperintensional contexts. In contradistinction to Quine and his followers, quantification into various modal contexts and some belief attitudes is possible without obstacles. The hyperintensional logic deployed in this paper incorporates explicit substitution and so the rule (EG) is fully specified inside the logic. The logic is equipped with a natural deduction system within which (EG) is derived from its rules for the existential quantifier, substitution and functional application. This shows that (EG) is not primitive, as often assumed even in advanced writings on natural deduction. Arguments involving existential generalisation are shown to be valid if the sequents containing their premises and conclusions are derivable using the rule (EG). Education re-engineering is becoming a cornerstone of curriculum review and transformation at different institutions of higher learning as well as schools in the private and public sectors, though decisions for innovation and creativity are the pillars of e-teaching and e-learning administration and management. This necessitated debates among policy makers and curriculum implementation sections, as to what the best ways of assessing staff digital literacy as a determining factor for a positive attitude toward online teaching and learning are. This paper aimed at positioning a staff digital literacy level versus attitude toward online teaching and learning quadrant in the curriculum transformation interventions of various institutions to ensure that their policy intervention regarding online learning remains user-friendly and sector appropriate. Using a critical autobiographical narrative inquiry, this quadrant was developed to assist educational institutions, personnel, and other stakeholders with a unique tool to assess their staff's digital literacy level and the position of their attitude toward online teaching and learning. Ravens (Corvus corax) and red kites (Milvus milvus) were commonly seen in London in the early modern period. The aim of this paper is to reconstruct the diversity of attitudes towards these birds. Previous historiography on the subject has failed to contextualize its sources. The excited accounts of travellers like Schaseck, the Venetian Ambassador's amanuensis and Lupold von Wedel need to be counter-balanced by considering the bored antipathy common amongst the British naturalists; William Turner, Francis Willughby and John Ray and the descriptions of sanitation services provided by European naturalists and local poets. The present paper aims at describing the importance of developing English language skills for the students who currently study in the field of engineering. English for Science and Technology (EST) is part of the general domain of English for Specific Purposes (ESP), which has grown in importance during recent years due to the constant developments in science, technology and business. Thus, the paper is structured into four sections, the first offering a brief view on what EST means and requires, as well as on the specific features it is based on. Nevertheless, learners' needs and expectations are always to be taken into consideration afore the development of any specific course, and, the second part of the paper includes facts and characteristics related to the learnercentered approach of teaching the language. Attitudes and motivation, together with the importance of a needs analysis questionnaire are briefly discussed. The third section deals with the description of receptive and productive skills tailored on engineers' needs as well as with the metacognitive skills which aren't to be forgotten due to their importance in the process of acquiring knowledge and using information in real-life instances. Considering the given facts, the paper ends with the conclusions which outline the importance of focusing on learners' needs, improving, at the same time, various skills which students need in order to become proficient users of a language in their future careers. This paper explores the hypothesis that an individual who becomes part of a well-evaluated new social group forms a positive social identity due to psychological mechanisms such as attitudes towards group membership, subjective norms, and perceived similarities with the group. The results of the study support these hypotheses. A factor analysis confirmed three factors of the social identity scale explaining 81.02% of the variance. Higher education in universities is the most imperative mechanism for development and change. There is a rich literature on technology's role in facilitating employee monitoring in the workplace. The COVID-19 pandemic created many challenges for employers, and many companies turned to new forms of monitoring to ensure remote workers remained productive; however, these technologies raise important privacy concerns as the boundaries between work and home are further blurred. In this paper, we present findings from a study of 645 US workers who spent at least part of 2020 working remotely due to the pandemic. We explore how their work experiences (job satisfaction, stress, and security) changed between January and November 2020, as well as their attitudes toward and concerns about being monitored. Findings support anecdotal evidence that the pandemic has had an uneven effect on workers, with women reporting more negative effects on their work experiences. In addition, while nearly 40% of workers reported their employer began using new surveillance tools during the pandemic, a significant percentage were unsure, suggesting there is confusion or a lack of transparency regarding how new policies are communicated to staff. We consider these findings in light of prior research and discuss the benefits and drawbacks of various approaches to minimize surveillance-related worker harms. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, I propose a framework for empowerment that may be useful for educators confronted with disruption and uncertainty brought about by the global pandemic. The framework consists of the interlocking processes of socialization, solidarity, and self-care. I argue that the confluence of these three processes can be empowering as they motivate educators to face challenges head-on and with hope. Reflecting on my own experience over the past two years, I illustrate the value of intentionally carrying out these interrelated processes. I suggest that the intersections of these processes help educators articulate and clarify our belief systems, our core social values, and our attitudes or dispositions towards ourselves and the world around us. Through these processes, we can tap our power to act on things that we can control and to remain steadfast when confronted with those that we cannot. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The immunization schedule recommended by the U.S. Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) provides a structure for how 10 different vaccine series should be administered to children in the first 18 months of life. Progress toward US early childhood immunization goals has largely focused on measuring vaccination coverage at age 24 months. However, standard vaccination coverage measures do not reflect whether children received vaccine doses by recommended ages, or whether vaccines were given concomitantly, per the schedule. In this paper, we describe innovations in population-level measurement of immunization schedule adherence through quantifying vaccination timeliness and undervaccination patterns. Measuring vaccination timeliness involves comparing when children received vaccine doses relative to ACIP age recommendations. To assess undervaccination patterns, children's vaccination histories are analyzed to determine whether they were vaccinated consistent with the ACIP schedule. Some patterns, such as spreading out vaccines across visits, are indicative of parental hesitancy. Other patterns, such as starting all recommended series but missing doses, are largely indicative of other immunization services delivery challenges. Since 2003, at least 12 studies have used National Immunization Survey-Child, immunization information system, or integrated health plan data to measure vaccination timeliness or undervaccination patterns at national or state levels. Moving forward, these novel measures can be leveraged for population-based surveillance of vaccine confidence, and for distinguishing undervaccination due to parental vaccine hesitancy from undervaccination due to other causes. Broader adoption of these measures can facilitate identification of targeted strategies for improving timely and routine early childhood vaccination uptake across the United States. This paper explores the identities that Madrileños ascribe to speakers using velarized coda /s/. The language attitudes of 59 participants from Madrid were assessed by means of a matched guise survey in which they heard native Madrileños using either sibilant coda /s/ or velarized coda /s/. Results show that while Madrileños do perceive the velarized variant as a marker of a Madrid origin, this effect is mainly observed for female voices. In addition, speakers that used velarized /s/ were associated with more negative qualities and viewed as less desirable as friends and storytellers, although for certain traits, the strength of this effect depended on the gender of the listener. Furthermore, velarized /s/ is associated with low-prestige occupations while more prestigious professions are assigned to guises with sibilant /s/. The results presented in this paper suggest that, although the characteristic ejque is associated with Madrid, the velarized variant is in fact quite stigmatized in the Spanish capital. Behavioral science offers several ideas about what it takes to get people to vaccinate. Colleagues and I previously reviewed the evidence for these propositions and put forward what has become known as the Increasing Vaccination Model. To make the model more accessible to practitioners, the current paper summarizes the main insights from the earlier work. First, observational studies show clearly that thoughts and feelings are correlated with vaccine uptake. Such constructs include perceived risk of harm from infectious disease and confidence in vaccine safety and efficacy. However, interventions have not generally shown that changing thoughts and feelings increases vaccine uptake. Second, social processes are promising in observational studies. Such constructs include social norms, altruism, and sharing through social media. More research is needed in this promising area before it will be possible to conclude whether social processes are effective intervention targets. Third, interventions that directly change behavior—without trying to change what people think or feel or their social experience—are reliably effective ways to increase vaccine uptake. Such interventions include reminders, defaults, and vaccine requirements. Finally, the most potent intervention for increasing vaccine uptake is a health care provider recommendation, but it is still unclear whether such recommendations are effective because they increase confidence, set a social norm, or reflect a direct behavior change technique. Despite Israel's responsibility under international law to combat the spread of contagious diseases and epidemics in its occupied territories, Israeli officials have refused to distribute COVID-19 vaccines to Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Through a critical discourse analysis of Israeli officials' statements regarding Israel's COVID-19 vaccination campaign, this paper explores how Israel evades this responsibility while presenting itself as committed to public health and human rights. We find that Israeli officials strategically present Palestinians as an autonomous nation when discussing COVID-19 vaccinations, despite Israel's ongoing attempts to prevent the creation of a Palestinian state. Relatedly, Israel justifies its refusal to vaccinate Palestinians on the grounds of the Palestinian Authority's economic independence, thereby obscuring Israel's control over the Palestinian economy. In this way, Israel relies on citizenship and economic inequality, as internationally sanctioned forms of exclusion, to deny Palestinians their right to health. Drawing on theorists such as Michel Foucault, Achille Mbembe, and Jasbir Puar, we argue that withholding vaccines from Palestinians reveals the ways that Israel furthers its settler-colonial aims under the guise of liberal humanitarianism and economic growth. Instead of directing these conclusions toward Israel as an exceptional case, we contend that these processes reveal how settler-colonial societies use liberal frameworks of citizenship and capitalism to carry out their racialized projects of elimination. Although the colonial era in Indonesia has ended, the legacy of conflict persists. Current conflicts between native and Chinese Indonesians has a colonial underpinning as well. The Dutch classified Chinese Indonesians as middle class, having higher status than natives which changed in the post-colonial era. This classification and the consequent status changes created competitive victimhood beliefs among both groups and impacted each other's perception, which evolved into stereotypes and persisting conflicts. This paper is based on an online survey study conducted among native and Chinese Indonesians (N = 656) who are divided by ethnicity, religion, language, and their different histories of collective victimhood but united by being part of the Indonesian nation. Using structural equation modeling, we hypothesized and found that exclusive victimhood and ethnic identity predicted higher, whereas Indonesian national identity predicted lower prejudice, and in turn, higher prejudice predicted lower support for reconciliation. These findings have theoretical implications for research on social identity and collective victimhood and practical consequences for understanding intergroup relations in multi-ethnic post-colonial contexts. Kazakhstan is the location of some of the most important Gulag heritage from the Soviet period of domination. However, commemoration, conservation and interpretation of Gulag sites is at best partial, visitation low and the attitude to this element of Kazakh history is ambiguous. This paper considers key heritage sites and museums in Kazakhstan and a qualitative case study approach is adopted based on a combination of interviews with twenty-four key stakeholders involved in the development and operation of Gulag tourism. Direct observations and qualitative document analysis of the major national Gulag museums and other important Gulag heritage sites was also undertaken. This research questions the orthodoxy inherent in the supposed attraction of dark tourism sites and seeks to ascertain why domestic and international visitation remains low given the scale and importance of the Gulag narrative. Marine protected areas (MPAs) are central to international conservation frameworks and public support has been recognised as critical to their effective implementation. Accordingly, measures of public attitudes to MPAs are routinely undertaken. Public opinion research frequently indicates high levels of public support for MPAs despite low levels of public understanding of the tools and the protections offered by existing MPA systems. Nonetheless, studies indicating public support enhance the social licence of the actors responsible for designing and managing MPAs. To date, there has been little scrutiny of who conducts public opinion research. Using Australia as a case study, this paper presents the results of a systematic review of primary public opinion research on MPAs in Australia between 2000 and 2022 (n = 68). The review focusses on the upstream phase of research production and identifies the academic, government, and commercial or civil society actors who contribute to primary attitudinal data via authorship, funding, and/or named support. The overwhelming majority of the research reviewed (78%) was contributed to by government actors while academics contributed to 68%. Drawing on science and technology studies (STS) and communication studies literature and theories, we consider our results in the context of the non-neutral production of knowledge and its communication. The substantial contribution of governments to the research which reports overwhelming public support for Australian MPAs and, in turn, provides the social license that legitimises how government actors have applied the management tool in the Australian context, is a finding that invites further exploration. • Systematic literature review of the production of Australian public opinion research reporting attitudes to MPAs. • MPA public opinion research is contributed to predominately by government (78%) and academic institutions (68%). • Seventy six percent (76%) of the research is directly authored and/or funded by government. • Concentrated research production may entrench biases in the assessment of social license for marine management. Background: Bupropion is being abused due to effects that are comparable with methamphetamine and cocaine. Current research indicates several interventions that can prevent prescription medication abuse. Objectives: A research study was performed at two healthcare organizations to evaluate whether education on prevention-based interventions increased self-efficacy of healthcare staff in addressing potential and ongoing bupropion abuse and whether the education reduced the rate of bupropion prescribing. Methods: The study sample consisted of 43 staff members who completed a paper-based preeducation survey, attended a 1-hour educational session, and completed a paper-based posteducation survey. Results: There was a 42% increase in total staff self-efficacy scores along with significant differences between pre-/postsurvey scores (p ≤.001). After education prescribers answered they plan to change prescribing practices and the number of bupropion prescriptions filled decreased. Conclusions: The research findings suggested that education on interventions for bupropion abuse prevention improved healthcare staff self-efficacy in the management of potential and ongoing bupropion abuse, influenced prescribing practices of prescribers, and decreased the number of bupropion prescriptions. This research can be used to continue providing education to help prevent further cases of bupropion abuse. Implications for Nursing: Future practice recommendations should include education on bupropion abuse and implementation of prevention interventions to reduce the occurrence of the abuse of bupropion. Students of today are faced -with the reality of an unpredictable working life in a constantly turbulent and fast-changing world. This has led to an intense focus on entrepreneurship. Yet, we seem to overlook the fact that students are increasingly challenged by stress and depression. We need to rethink education to include knowledge and tools not only for creating a job, but for reshaping life in general This paper is part of a larger body of research aimed at introducing students to a Life Design Attitude. Research has proved that design can be used in value clarification and lead to changes in inappropriate beliefs and behaviour. In other words, design can be used to create better lives. However, by comparing data from three workshops this paper concludes that prior to introducing students to a design attitude to life there is an urgent need for a renewed understanding of creativity in educational institutions. Twenty-first century learners are media-centric and heavily reliant on technology. Internet-accessible resources are always at the students' fingertips and they learn through such resources anywhere, anytime. Unfortunately, formal education in most part of Asia remains largely examination focused given the immense pressure to obtain paper qualifications. Our challenge today is how do we make students learn on their own volition? How do we then sustain learning when the education system is still very much examination-centric? Success in learning is not always dependent on the ways students are taught in the classroom or the tools they use to learn but can be very much affected by the learners' affective characteristics. Over the past decades, the ERP systems have become indispensable in business processes, particularly in the planning and handling of company resources. At the same time, the ERP system implementation remains a complex process involving a number of factors affecting the quality final solution. This paper aims to measure the end-user satisfaction with an ERP system as it directly affects their efficiency, and thus the ERP system efficiency in achieving the goals and objectives of the company. End-user expectations and attitudes play an important, if not crucial, role in ERP implementation success. In this paper, the user satisfaction was measured through six different user efficiency factors: compatibility, complexity, training, quality of support, adaptation to the needs, and feeling of reliability. The factors were measured comparing SAP solutions and localdeveloped ERP systems.
