The researcher was motivated to conduct this study and determined the lived experiences of kinder parents and kinder teachers in modular distance learning in time of pandemic. The researcher used the social constructivist lens to explore and examine the lived experiences of kinder parents and teachers. Interviews were conducted with a group of kinder parents and kinder teachers who have first-hand knowledge of modular distance learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic enrolled in Sta. Cruz Elementary School. These were participated by 10 kinder teachers and 20 kinder parents selected through purposive sampling technique. Findings revealed that partnerships with kinder parents may be strengthened and be given preferential attention as parents are the key players in the learning process of their children at home. Kinder parents may be provided ample time to submit or return learners’ outputs as they have to attend to their work to earn a living and do other household chores. The school, through their kinder teachers, may continue “Kumustahan Online” as a means to communicate with kinder parents and learners in order to monitor progress and address any academic-related problems that may arise between parents and their children. Kinder parents should create, as much as possible, a conducive-to-learning home environment to ensure academic success among their children. Kinder teachers, on the other hand, may continue to simplify the contents of Self-Learning Modules without sacrificing the minimum competencies expected from the learners.

As smart structures are becoming increasingly ubiquitous in our daily life, the need for efficient modeling electromechanical coupling devices is also rapidly advancing. Smart structures are often made of piezoelectric materials such as lead zirconate titanate (PZT), which exhibits strong nonlinear behavior known as hysteresis effect under a large applied electric field. There have been numerous modeling techniques that are able to capture such an effect; some techniques are suitable for obtaining physical insights into the micro-structure of the material, while other techniques are better-suited to practical structural analyses. In this paper, we aim to achieve the latter. We propose a simplified phenomenological macroscopic model of a nonlinear ferroelectric actuator. The assumption is based on the direct relation between the irreversible strain and irreversible electric field, and the consequently irreversible polarization. The proposed model is then implemented in a finite element framework, in which the main features such as local return mapping and the tangent moduli are derived. The outcomes of the model are compared and validated with experimental data. Therefore, the development presented in this paper can be a useful tool for the modeling of nonlinear ferroelectric actuators.

While science and logic are incredible intellectual endeavors, and while reductionist methodologies have led to advances in knowledge, these methods do not tell the whole story of life, world, and reality. There are real phenomena that, due to their experiential and holistic nature, cannot be properly quantified over by limiting oneself to science, logic, or reductive means of explanation and description. Attempting to understand the world and the human condition requires a plethora of epistemic pursuits to more fully quantify over the plurality of phenomena. Existential meaning is, I argue, an experiential and holistic phenomenon, and as such it cannot be quantified over by reductive endeavors, pure logic, or scientific inquiry. Meaning emerges through the relation of a complex structure (human) in relation to the world, and it exists as an irreducible embodied and embedded experience.

Neither narrative nor documentary, his saying of the quasi-sensorial experience of the author’s presence makes him a conducting body. Neither objective nor subjective, the embodied writing makes palpable the living polyphony that reigns inside such a place of acting justice. Words as fragments, extracts of days, quotational references, all are converging in order to allow each one’s nudity to be experienced in this time of putting to the test of the vagueness of the usual words by a resistant language, that of the law. Such an approach that refrains from any judgement differs from a longstanding tradition of literary criticism of the judicial scene.

The COVID-19 Pandemic was pronounced as public health emergency by the World Health Organization early in March 2020. This leads academic librarians showcase different faces in rendering library services in the new normal environment. The purpose of this study was to describe the emerging roles and challenges encountered among academic librarians working in the new normal. This study employed descriptive phenomenological research design. Eleven (11) licensed academic librarians in an accredited higher education institution participated using Key Informant Interview (KII). The data were analyzed using Colaizzi’s method. The result shows that academic librarians emerging roles in this new normal environment are online programs/services administrators, research support/instructional partners, and enforcers of health and safety measures. Academic librarians encountered problems in accessibility, demands for ICT Skills in rendering online library services, difficulties on the new normal library operations, and the users' demands. The forms of support needed from fellow academic librarians and the academe, in general, are the Need for Budget Allocation, Administrators Moral Support, Support for Professional Developments, and Cooperations and Teamworks of their colleague. Ultimately, academic librarians strive to develop a sense of flexibility and enhance their adaptability to the changes due to the Pandemic. The different faces of academic librarians are labeled as reflections of what kind of an academic library an accredited higher education institution has.

A presentation about thermodynamics and physical chemistry of electrolyte solutions. It provides an overview of basic and advanced tools used for modelling the electrolyte solutions: a) general thermodynamic theory b) phenomenological equations c) methods of statistical physics The fourth (and hopefully the final) version - minor corrections and small improvements.

This study aims to identify the experiences of information technology (IT) students in learning computer programming. Specifically, the feelings towards learning programming and the challenges and difficulties encountered by IT students were determined. The researcher used a phenomenological approach to determine the commonality of lived experiences among the students. The study was conducted during the second semester of Academic Year 2020–2021. The participants were first-year students enrolled in a computer programming I course. Open-ended questions were employed to gather responses. Since the data gathering happened during the coronavirus 2019 pandemic, the researcher used Google Form to collect responses. Participants were informed that the responses gathered were treated with the utmost confidentiality, security, and anonymity, following ethical research guidelines. Results revealed that participants have both positive and negative views about learning programming. As to the feelings towards learning computer programming, analysis shows that positive emotions include excitement and good happy feelings towards writing programs and finding them fun, challenging, and engaging. Negative feelings include being nervous, anxious, confused, and having difficulty learning how to write programs because it is hard. The challenges and problems encountered by IT students include difficulties relating to the program's syntax, errors and debugging processes; lesson-related; algorithm, analysis, resources, teaching, time-management, and personal factors. The researcher suggests recommendations that would improve the quality of teaching computer programming and offer new possible topics for future studies.

Binge watching is a practice of watching multiple movies in one sitting. This study aims to discover the lived experiences of early adults in binge- watching. With the use of Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, the researchers provided interpretations and meanings out of responses given by the participants. The purpose of the study is to determine the experiences of early adulthood to binge-watching in terms of mental health, and emotions. In addition, this study also emphasizes the challenges of early adulthood in other aspects such as their physical health, social life, daily routine, sleeping patterns and academic performance in terms of binge-watching. 4th year college students in a private school in Bocaue, Bulacan ages 18-24 years old were attained through the use of purposive sampling. The participants accomplished a semi- structured interview guide consisting of a series of questions in the area of experiences and challenges of early adulthood towards binge-watching. The results that emerged from the data analysis is that early adulthood who are most likely to binge- watch are motivated by social media and peers. Early adulthood tends to feel positive emotions such as relaxation, happiness, satisfaction and empathy that results in emotional rewards caused by binge-watching.

However, it has not been well recognized and addressed in the study setting. Hence, this study aimed to explore postpartum women’s lived experiences of perinatal intimate partner violence and its contributing factors in Wolaita Zone, Southern Ethiopia.Methods: A phenomenological study approach was used to explore postpartum women’s lived experiences of perinatal partner violence from January to March 2020. A total of twenty-two postnatal women and five health extension workers (HEWs) were interviewed. Interviews were audio-recorded, transcribed verbatim in local languages, and then translated into English. Data were analyzed thematically, using deductive and inductive coding. The consolidated criteria for reporting qualitative research (CORE-Q) checklist was followed to report the findings.Results: Results indicated that postpartum women had experienced recurrent violence before, during, and after pregnancy from their husbands, with 16 out of 22 women being subjected to perinatal intimate partner violence. A majority of the participants delineated their exposure to perinatal physical violence next to perinatal psychological violence. Many of the interviewed women noted that violence during pregnancy was exacerbated and increased during postpartum. Moreover, the interviewees revealed that some partners were not only a serious threat to their wives, but also their infants during the postpartum period. Four of the participants stated that their newborns were hit and thrown by their father and became unconscious. Participants linked husbands’ perinatal violence with suspicion about the newborn, male-child preference, partner infidelity and jealousy, contraceptives usage, alcohol consumptions, indifference to shortages on household necessities, improper parenting, and financial problems.Conclusion: This study highlights that postpartum women are experiencing continuous and severe forms of perinatal IPV in the study setting. Thus, community-level interventions that minimize perinatal partner violence against postnatal women and their infants are needed.Keywords: postpartum women, perinatal, violence, phenomenological, Ethiopia

Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is purposely elicited by some individuals to promote health and mental wellbeing. The aim of the current study was to explore how ASMR is used and its perceived benefits in a student population. We employed semi-structured qualitative interviews, with eight female students who self-reported as ASMR-sensitive users. Inductive thematic analysis, underpinned by a phenomenological framework, was applied to the data. Two themes, each with three subthemes, were identified; these highlighted the journey from first discovering ASMR to present experience and the use of ASMR to promote health and mental wellbeing both directly and indirectly. For some, ASMR was used daily, whilst for others it was used in a relapsing-remitting fashion: usage increased when struggling with mental wellbeing and was most often used as a tool to induce sleep or distraction when feeling anxious. Participants also reported ASMR-eliciting content as intriguing, and that the phenomenon was regarded as taboo. ASMR appears to play an important role in promoting health and mental wellbeing; frequency of use, preferred triggers, and purpose of use varied, highlighting its flexible and subjective nature. It provides a potential cost-effective tool in populations such as students where mental health needs are burgeoning.

Moral challenges are commonplace across frontline occupations and can result in moral distress which, if unresolved, can result in moral injury. It is not clear the extent to which research findings involving other frontline occupations are applicable to the experience of journalists, who are under-represented in the literature. To date, the prevalence of moral injury and moral distress among journalists is unknown, as are any impacts and vulnerabilities specific to journalists. Journalism differs from uniformed professions in which exposure to potentially morally injurious events is relatively common, as it tends to be a more solitary and less supported profession, and the types of exposure are more variable. A series of semi-structured interviews is proposed to explore: 1) the types of events that journalists might encounter in their work that have the potential to result in moral distress; 2) journalists’ understanding of moral distress and injury; and 3) what journalists think would be valuable in addressing the issue of moral injury in their work. Data will be thematically analysed for emerging themes that answer the research questions.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the experiences of intensive care nurses who cared for patients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19. Material and Methods: The research was carried out with nurses. Data collection included in-depth interviews conducted between June-August 2020. Interviews were audio recorded, transcribed verbatim, and analysed using the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis Results: Three main themes emerged: (a) nurses' compliance with the process; (b) factors affecting motivation; and (c) emotional responses observed in patients. While challenging situations, increase in workload, and situations that cause anxiety were the factors that negatively affected nurses' motivation to work, awareness/empathic behavior and flexible working hours were the factors that positively affected the motivation to work. Conclusion: Intensive care nurses make great efforts to prevent transmission from patients with COVID-19. It is thought that nurses should be supported in terms of the factors that negatively affect their motivation to work. It is considered that nurses' awareness/empathic behaviors affected their perceptions of the patients' fear of death and feeling of helplessness.

In the traditional procession ritual of the Asantehene, the Asante king, into the palace, the Golden Stool, Kente cloth, and Adinkra symbols are a part of the space and place narrative. These narratives encompass symbolic cultural habitation and the geographical landscape. This dissertation examines as a case study the nineteenth century Asante palace in the traditional city of Kumase, Ghana, Africa, to reveal the cultural and material connections to the identity of the Asante. In the nineteenth century, missionaries and European officials collected ethnographic surveys of the Asante palace before it was destroyed by the British during the colonial period. The existing ethnographic survey archives of Thomas Bowdich, a European official, explain the Asante Architecture and the palace from a European hegemonic perspective. Bowdich states that the construction of the ornamental architecture of “Coomassie” reminded him forcibly of Sir James Hall’s essay, the Edinburgh Philosophical Transactions, that Asante Architecture was the tracing of the Gothic order to an architectural imitation of wickerwork. The records proclaim the architectural ornament on the Asante buildings was adopted from interior countries and did not originate with the Asante.1 The findings in the survey do not address the phenomenological experience, ritual practice, holistic architectonic structure, and sociocultural expression of the Asante Palace according to the nation of the Asante. This research aims to materialize and define the connection between the nineteenth century Asante palace of Kumase and the socio-cultural identity of the Asante to ameliorate the damaging effects of colonization on traditional structures. This research works between architecture and anthropology to reveal the ontological association of the Asante cultural elements, the Golden Stool, Kente cloth, and Adinkra symbols and their ritual significance to the Asante palace. From an anthropological point of view, collective memory, ritual praxis, and political and social organization explain the embodied meaning of Asante culture identity. The palace’s architecture defines traditional construction methods, sustainable practices, structural phenomenological experience, and spatial narratives to interpret the social context. This research includes archival work of ethnographic records of the Asante palace, Asante culture, and the context of the city of Kumase. A close study of the Akan language of Twi reveals each cultural element’s spiritual and social meaning that is an integral part of the Asante life. Analytical drawings of symbolic details and reconstructive drawings of the Asante palace are used to link material culture, phenomena, and the socio-cultural identity of the Asante based on the African point of view. Expected results include the demonstration of the social and cultural expression of the Asante palace and the original embodied meaning based on the etymology of traditional structural references. Furthermore, this research will contribute to the history of African Architecture and vernacular palatial structures.

Bankacılık sektörü çalışanları üzerinde gerçekleştirilen bu çalışma, Türkiye İstanbul ilinde bulunan bir bankanın çalışanları arasından seçilen 10 kişiyle yürütülmüştür. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden uygun tasarlanan bu çalışmada yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat tekniği ile veriler toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilerek araştırma bulguları elde edilmiştir. Bulgular değerlendirilerek araştırma sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre incelenen kurumda çalışanların örgütsel destek algılarının yüksek olduğu, kurumun destekleyici örgüt niteliklerine uygun politikalar izlediği, çalışanların büyük çoğunluğunun desteklendiklerini algıladıkları, yaratılan bu ortamdan işe adanmanın olumlu etkilendiği ve çalışanların işe adanmış oldukları belirlenmiştir. Kurumun; sosyal destek, etkili liderlik, işin niteliğine uygun kişi belirleme, personel güçlendirme ve kişisel gelişim fırsatları aracılığıyla çalışanlarda güven, değer, kalıcılık, önem ve gönüllülük hissi yaratarak örgütsel destek algısı sağladığı görülmüştür. Kurum tarafından yaratılan destekleyici örgütün ise işe adanmayı belirleyen öncülleri ortaya çıkardığı anlaşılmıştır. Kurum, çalışanlarına destekleyici bir örgüt sunarken aynı zamanda işe adanmayı sağlayacak temel belirleyenleri de iş ortamına katmaktadır. Böylece algılanan örgütsel destek, işe adanmayı sağlayan faktörleri meydana getiren bir işlev görmektedir. Aynı zamanda işe adanmanın örgütsel faktörlerini olumlu hale getirmek örgütsel destek algısı sağlamaktadır. Katılımcıların verdikleri örneklerde sıklıkla; pandemi zamanında alınan maddi ve manevi desteklere, ödül-terfi sisteminin cömert, adil ve etkin olduğuna, kişisel gelişim fırsatlarının yoğunluğuna, iş dışı etkinliklere yönelik uygulamaların çokluğuna, kişi niteliklerinin işin gerekleriyle uyumuna ve liderlerin sorun çözücü, destekleyici niteliklerine rastlanmaktadır. Elde edilen bu sonuçlar önemli olmakla birlikte bankacılık sektörü açısından da yol göstericidir. This study focuses on employees who work in the banking sector and the sample for this study consisted of 10 employees working in the banking sector in Istanbul, Turkey. The study was carried out using a qualitative research method as phenomenological research design, using semi-structured interview techniques to collect data. The research findings were obtained by analyzing the collecting data, using content analysis. The results of this research showed that the participants had high perceptions of organizational support, the organization had supportive policies, the majority of employees perceived that they were supported, the employees felt they were engaged in their work and the company environment positively influenced them to engage more with their job. It is also noted that the organization creates a sense of trust, value, permanency, importance, and volunteerism among employees through social support, effective leadership, selecting the right people for the job, staff empowerment and personal development opportunities. The research suggests that the organization provides a supportive environment which also includes key factors that lead to job engagement. The study concludes that the perceived organizational support also serves as a function of factors that determine job engagement. Participants frequently cited examples such as financial and emotional support during the pandemic, a fair and efficient system of rewards and promotions, many different opportunities for self improvement, numerous extracurricular activities, matching individual qualifications to job requirements, and leaders with problem-solving and supportive qualities. This study not only provides important results, but also offers guidance for the banking sector.

In modern society, loneliness is often talked about as an undesirable thing and something that should be eliminated, which makes it obvious that many people are suffering from it. Considering that the physical spaces we inhabit significantly shape our social interactions and relationships, this project aims to highlight the importance of spatial design in fostering connections with others beyond oneself. Specifically, the gaze is directed toward co-living. Slakthusområdet is a slaughter industrial area that is going to be developed from an industrial area into an urban district with lots of housing. On the site, I have examined how spatial design can create a lifestyle on our own initiative and feel a sense of belonging in a new environment. Through personal observations, this project explores a way of life that accepts loneliness and seeks to live with it. In this project, I call this way of living “Being alone together”. By using physical models as the primary medium, I proposed a housing complex that offers diverse forms of living spaces to accommodate all residents. This new approach to communal living holds the potential to unlock new possibilities of life, particularly for urban dwellers. Furthermore, it offers a fresh and unique solution in response to the housing challenges faced in Stockholm.

The Church, as an institution, has pioneered ground-breaking interventions, although some of these interventions were also a vehicle for imperial colonisation. Through its missionary activities, the Church has exercised such a form of power over its flock. This article intends to analyse the extent of the knowledge that pastors in Thulamela Municipality, Limpopo Province, have concerning HIV/AIDS and the prejudices associated with the illness. The article applies a qualitative approach in ascertaining the extent of such knowledge as well as the pastoral approaches utilised. In this qualitative phenomenological study, the authors explored the knowledge of these pastors regarding HIV/AIDS. A semi-structured interview guide was used to direct the collection of data. Following thematic analysis, the knowledge of pastors regarding HIV/AIDS emerged as the theme of the study. The findings revealed that difficulties relating to providing pastoral care to people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWH) were exacerbated by a lack of knowledge and limited training offered to pastors. The article will further argue that there is a need for a partnership between the churches and public health services. CONTRIBUTION: This article strives to expose biblical discourse exhibited by pastors because of a lack of theological formation and to suggest a way forward in collaborating the church as a religious institution and public health institution for combating HIV/AIDS

The present paper is a practical supplement to an earlier theoretical work by the author, published in a preceding issue, on methodological foundations of the European philosophizing in the aspect of sophical synthesis. Building upon understanding of general philosophical methodologies (methodological attitudes) and their ‘epochal’ implementations as presented there, the author makes use of a cross-cutting example, to show ‘zones of responsibility’ and onto-gnoseo-epistemological limits for every mentioned ‘way towards the thing.’ Six marker packages (by the number of methodologies and variants of sophical viz. life-knowledge synthesis) should be of special professional interest as proposed by the author to identify methodological attitudes and ‘edge’ cases ranging from Antiquity to nowadays. Validity of each and all of these packages has been illustrated with proper textual material, i. e. fragments from essays by renowned European philosophers.In § 1, the naturalistic methodological attitude is considered, as focused on the proper vital aspect of sophical synthesis; its characteristic reliance on experience, fact, belief, opinion, and authority, and thereby on the rhetorical aspect of philosophizing, is explained.In § 2, the phenomenological methodological attitude is considered, as focused on the proper knowledge aspect of sophical synthesis; its characteristic reliance on knowledge and sense beyond any non-essential per se factual ways things are given, is explained.In § 3, the transcendental methodological attitude is considered, as focused on the synthesis of knowledge and life by means of knowledge in the aspect of logos of the logos per se; its characteristic reliance on sense being a sense in the making, and on fact as the bearer of a sense, with their integration in a common logical-conceptual thing structure, is explained.In § 4, the dialectic methodological attitude is considered, as focused on the synthesis of knowledge and life by means of knowledge in the aspect of logos of the eidos; its characteristic reliance on intelligent thing as a unit of sense and a product of senseful self-development wherein not only the thing is posited, but the entire otherness as defined by it as well, is explained.In § 5, the mythological methodological attitude is considered, as focused on the synthesis of knowledge and life in the aspect of their integral arrangement as vivid mind; its characteristic reliance on intelligent thing as a real and self-evident in its unicity live being, is explained.In § 6, the hermeneutical (= onomatological and overall symbolic) methodological attitude, as focused on the synthesis of knowledge and life in the aspect of its naming as an intelligent expression of thing for the other; its characteristic reliance on the name and text as a full expression of sense and a full knowledge of fact being revealed in the truth of thing, is explained.

Classes in higher education often consist of both lecture and laboratory time for the subject of physics. An example of experience-based learning would be doing experiments in the classroom. Kolb's theory of experiential learning posits that learning is a process that involves the generation of knowledge via the accumulation of experience. However, due to the fact that doing experiments in a laboratory takes much more time and money than other methods of instruction, the usage of labs in the classroom has become a contentious topic. The primary objective of this research was to report on the activities that students of physics participated in during their physics laboratory lessons. Interviews with four different individuals were conducted utilizing a semi-structured format. Giorgi's descriptive phenomenological method was used, and the findings revealed the following constituents: (1) the clarification, visualization, and retention of concepts; (2) the application of learnings acquired from the laboratory; (3) involvement, cooperation, and interaction; (4) laboratory manuals and equipment; and (5) challenges. Acquired brain injury (ABI) represents a great burden for not only the person with ABI but also their partner. Grief among partners of adults with ABI is a broadly recognized phenomenon. However, few studies have examined partners’ experience of grief, and little is known about grief as a reaction to ambiguous loss. This article presents a phenomenological study that aimed to explore the experience of grief among caregiving partners. Four semi-structured interviews were conducted and analyzed by a phenomenological descriptive analysis. Through the analysis, nine themes were identified: the process of becoming a caregiver, grief emotions, loss, emotionally closer relations to the partner relations, dyadic coping, unmet needs for support, future opportunities, changes over the life course, and understanding of grief. The themes are interrelated and highlight various aspects of the phenomenon of grief as experienced by caregivers. Results reveal that grief is often a reaction to ambiguous loss and is experienced as disenfranchised. Furthermore, the study indicates that caregivers’ perception of grief and the situation in general were essential to the experience of grief.

In this study, with a phenomenological approach, we seek to investigate and reconstruct the quality model of electronic banking services and its invisible aspects and diminish consumer losses with the possibility of vulnerability in the event of a corona pandemic. Based on existing theories and then focusing on the lived experience of individuals, this study tries to identify the dimensions, antecedents and, ultimately, the consequences of this phenomenon in the form of a model. Snowball sampling was carried out in the Tehran megacity, and data was gathered through a semi-structured interview with 25 participants. Through constant comparison of data; open, axial, and selective coding; as well as the analysis of relational content; concepts and themes were categorized. Data analysis showed that the quality of e-services has dimensions of efficiency, completeness of execution, ease of use and access, responsiveness, quality assurance, information, the attractiveness of use, security, emotional actions and functional value. Also, the antecedents affecting this phenomenon include previous experience, oral communication, organizational reputation, customer engagement, previous image, traditionalism and social responsibility, Finally, the consequences of this phenomenon include satisfaction and behavioural intentions. This qualitative study is one of the primary studies on older women's perceptions of the quality of e-banking services. Previous studies have not mentioned some findings of this study. Recent scientific and technological advances have made the market even more competitive for goods and services quality improvement (Rahnavard & Abbaspour, 2014). Moreover, history witnesses an unprecedented technological change in our lives more than at any time in the past, and these changes put more pressure on consumers (Bennett & Maton, 2010). In this competitive age, not only should service providers seek key features and apply them in their products and services, but they should also monitor the changes in consumers’ needs and the position of their products constantly (Tabatabaeenasab & Ebrahimpour, 2015). A group of factors is found to affect individuals attitudes to accept E-banking such as self-service technologies, (Chaouali & El Hedhli, 2019; Chauhan et al., 2019) demographic variables (Chawla & Joshi, 2017, 2018), subjective norms (Ting et al., 2016), the impact of oral advertisement (Mehrad & Mohammadi, 2016), electronic service (Ayo et al., 2016), etc. The banking sector is losing consumers’ trust which needs to be restored. Financial markets are also fraught with challenges with consumers especially the disruptive social conditions that cause widespread complications for everyone (Clifton, Fernández-Gutiérrez & Olalla, 2017). Furthermore, the potential damage to customers is quite high in this industry as customers may lose all their major assets (Ramsay, 2000). Thus, the financial behavior, determining whether vulnerable consumers like elderlies and people with disabilities, who may perceive themselves at lower socioeconomic status, are susceptible to behavioral biases and therefore less likely to profit in the electronic communication market, must be considered (Lunn & Lyons, 2010). Due to the need to identify different categories of users of electronic services in the current situation (the Coronavirus pandemic) and the inevitability of banking activities, vulnerable groups like female elderlies who are prevented from attending communities need higher attention. Research Objectives This research aims to provide a detailed understanding of the needs and criticisms of vulnerable users and to investigate the precedents, consequences, and components of E-banking services. In addition, it tends to apply the findings to propose a model to reduce the damages. Methodology The present study was conducted using a qualitative approach and phenomenological method. Data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews. The population of the study was selected using the snowball sampling method. Data analysis of this research based on Strauss and Corbin instructions includes three main stages of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. Finally, the theory of qualitative model research is expressed. Results Based on the data encoded from 25 interviews, some participants approved the theoretical findings of the quality of self-service E-banking. We also achieved the main influential concepts including traditionalism, and commitment. Concerning the dimension of self-service E-banking service, we have identified emotional actions and practical value as a new dimension to fill the gap in previous researches and provide the basis for future researches. The attractiveness dimension which was found in most online shopping studies was also found to be a self-service E-banking parameter, which is considered as one of the innovations of this study. The remaining components are supported by the literature and previous model. Discussion Given the rapid growth of technology and its application in people's daily lives and increasing competition in this field, identifying different types of behavior in customers and consumers and analyzing their psychological perception of quality leads to more effective marketing strategies. Since such services are designed for public use and the means of providing them are the same, it is important to consider the needs of customers who are more vulnerable to expand the use of these services. The current bio-psycho-social model of pain requires profound search of the experience of pain from different spheres of life. Purpose: The purpose of this publication is to summarize the knowledge of the most common and dominant experiences of chronic pain, discussed in qualitative studies over the last 10 years. Material and methods: Analysis of publications in the period 2010-2019 indexed in world databases with the main focus on the qualitative studies that aim to describe the essential experiences regarding the nature of chronic pain, pertaining to different spheres of life. Results: The majority of studies have presented experiences related to the negative effects of chronic pain affecting the individual and all aspects of life– experiences related to: 1) the dominant role of pain; 2) the invisibility of pain; 3) the change or loss of identity and the sense of self; 4) loss of social identity; 5) seeking help. Discussion: Qualitative research has provided particular insight into the multidimensional experience of pain. The selected qualitative studies reveal topics that determine the essence and significance of pain as a phenomenon. Some poorly explored areas are the impact of depression, anxiety, sleep disturbance, the perception of pain situation, the intensity of pain, memories of past experiences. Conclusion: A detailed and deep investigation of the subjective experiences of the pain sufferer, prospectively monitored, would be useful to enrich management strategies and improve the quality of life of patients with chronic pain.

Moral decadence in this era of globalization, the government sparked character education to be implemented in schools. One of the character values that is raised is religious character. The BKKBN survey states that 63% of teenagers in several big cities in Indonesia commit moral deviations such as premarital sex. The community assumes that the implementation of religious education in schools has not been able to touch religious aspects in order to form students who obey religious rules and have morals according to the rules of the Shari'a. This study aims to describe religious values, efforts to internalize religious values , and internalization models of religious character values in students of SMAN 1 Aceh Barat District. The method used is descriptive analysis, with research techniques library research, and field research, while the data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that: (1) the religious values developed were Divine values and Intsaniyyah values; (2) efforts to internalize religious character are carried out at the time of orientation for new students, provision of religious material during Islamic Education learning hours; and (3) the internalization model of a religious character, namely during new MOS activities, congregational dhuhr prayer, Friday prayer, dhuha prayer, istighatsah, khatmul Qur'an, Amal Jariyah, social service and cleaning mushalla, all of these activities are carried out in order to familiarize students to apply religious values in everyday life at school.

Este proyecto de grado plantea el diseño de un jardín infantil en el barrio Bucarica del Municipio de Floridablanca para niños de 0 a 6 años. Primero, se investigaron referentes teóricos con el fin de interpretar el manejo de los componentes fenomenológicos que utilizan en sus proyectos, y donde explican cómo es posible el manejo de la luz, el color y la materialidad teniendo en cuenta que existen zonas fenoménicas que pueden ser las herramientas apropiables por la arquitectura que estimula la percepción de los usuarios y así mismo determinar una solución a la problemática planteada en el proyecto. Después, se clasifican los usuarios por edades, para enfocar cada espacio de acuerdo con sus capacidades físicas, motrices, y psicológicas. Tercero, se investigan las normativas y los estándares con el fin de aplicar las características formales, funcionales, técnicas y urbanas al proyecto. Posteriormente, se realiza el estudio de las determinantes físicas del barrio Bucarica, para identificar las instituciones de primera infancia existentes, además que se analizan tres opciones de lote teniendo en cuenta los factores comunes tomados de los referentes tipológicos y normativos para implementar una adecuada ubicación para el jardín infantil. Finalmente, se estudian referentes tipológicos, con lo cual se arma un cuadro con las ventajas, y desventajas de los componentes aplicables al proyecto, además de determinar los estándares, y lineamientos de diseño y construcción de un jardín infantil, logrando un análisis de las áreas básicas que deben contener los jardines infantiles obteniendo como resultado la proyección de un programa arquitectónico. This degree project proposes the design of a kindergarten in the Bucarica neighborhood of the Municipality of Floridablanca for children from 0 to 6 years old. First, theoretical references were investigated in order to interpret the management of the phenomenological components used in their projects, and where they explain how it is possible to manage light, color and materiality taking into account that there are phenomenological zones that can be appropriable tools for architecture that stimulates the perception of users and thus determine a solution to the problems posed in the project. Then, users are classified by age, in order to focus each space according to their physical, motor, and psychological capacities. Third, the regulations and standards are investigated in order to apply the formal, functional, technical and urban characteristics to the project. Subsequently, a study of the physical determinants of the Bucarica neighborhood is carried out to identify the existing early childhood institutions, and three lot options are analyzed taking into account the common factors taken from the typological and normative references in order to implement an adequate location for the kindergarten. The COVID-19 pandemic is putting strain on every country in the world and their health systems. Healthcare professionals struggle on the frontline and they can experience stigma, which can create difficulties in controlling epidemic diseases, influencing the mental health of healthcare professionals, caregivers, families, communities, and the provided quality of care. The aim of this study is to explore the lived experience of Italian nurses about perceived stigma during COVID-19 pandemic with the phenomenological Cohen method. The principal themes that emerged from data analysis were “stigma in the working environment” and “stigma in everyday life”. Each of these themes had subthemes: “looks like gun sights”, “avoiding closeness to others”, “nobody wants to touch you”, and “the fault of being your family members”. Public health emergencies, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, are stressful events for individuals and communities. Stigma can be more dangerous than the disease, and a major obstacle to appropriate medical and mental health interventions. Understanding how healthcare professionals experience stigma is essential to design and implement specific educational, psychological, and organisational programmes.

In this study, we analysed the lived experiences of frontline nurses and physicians who were affected by COVID-19 through a phenomenological study, using a Cohen's phenomenological methodology. The participants were enrolled in the study in May 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy. The inclusion criteria were as follows: (1) was a nurse or physician employed full time caring for COVID-19 patients before falling ill; (2) contracting SARS-CoV-2 during the period from February 2020 to May 2020; and (3) had recovered before enrolment in the study. Sixteen participants (60% nurses) with an average age of 45 years were included in this study. The following main themes were extrapolated from our data analysis: "fear of diagnosis", "loneliness (as isolation)", "touch of nurses" and "feeling guilty of abandonment". From our study several aspects emerge that highlight how strong the emotional impact of COVID was on nurses and physicians infected during their activities, such as, on the one hand, feelings of fear, loneliness, and, on the other hand, the impotence of not being able to help.

Every research aims to identify or provide a solution to a predefined problem. This is often done through systematic investigation of a problem in question. The central theme of this paper is to critically examine the intellectual contributions to the significance of nonreactive research in the social phenomenological approach. The work reviews some works of literature on measurements or instruments of data collection for research purposes. It argues that reactive measurements such as questionnaires and interviews played a domineering role in phenomenological studies. However, the weakness associated with such measures in an understanding phenomenon often affects the reliability and validity of the research owing to the manners in which the research participant practically react to the measures. The application of nonreactive measurements became imperative in complementing these reactive or obtrusive measures as it did not only creates room for more reliable data but ensures that behaviours of research subjects do not change in the course of an investigation or when gathering data. The work, therefore, concludes that theoretical underpinning suggesting nonreactive or unobtrusive measures in pragmatically understanding people’s perception about an event is not to completely jettison the reactive measurements but served as a remedy associated with methodological weakness of reactive measures in comprehending social phenomenon.&nbsp

Background: Neurofeedback is a neurostimulatory biofeedback behavioural therapy that regulates brain wave levels for optimal cognitive functioning. It has shown promising results for the treatment of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).Aim: To explore and describe the experiences of neurofeedback therapists (NTs) using neurofeedback to treat children and adults with ADHD and their experience of its role and value in treating this condition.Setting: Interviews were conducted in participants’ private consultation rooms in Gauteng, South Africa.Methods: In this qualitative study using a descriptive phenomenological approach, six registered NTs with experience of treating ADHD were interviewed. Participants were asked: ‘Tell me about your experiences of neurofeedback with ADHD patients in your practice.’ Responses were audio-recorded, transcribed and underwent thematic analysis.Results: Participants experienced neurofeedback as an effective treatment for ADHD and other coexisting conditions, such as anxiety and insomnia. Participants felt that the neurofeedback process facilitates a beneficial therapeutic relationship and integrates well with other treatment methods. Challenges faced in practice included certain underlying comorbidities, home environment, poor patient compliance and NTs’ level of expertise, which impact treatment outcomes.Conclusion: Neurofeedback therapists expressed an overall positive perception of the value of neurofeedback to reduce ADHD symptom severity and improve quality of life, particularly when used as part of a multimodal approach. Participants identified a need for further education and awareness regarding the use of neurofeedback for ADHD.Contribution: This study has contributed to our understanding of the role of neurofeedback in treating ADHD in the South African setting.

However, it has not been well recognized and addressed in the study setting. Hence, this study aimed to explore postpartum women’s lived experiences of perinatal intimate partner violence and its contributing factors in Wolaita Zone, Southern Ethiopia.Methods: A phenomenological study approach was used to explore postpartum women’s lived experiences of perinatal partner violence from January to March 2020. A total of twenty-two postnatal women and five health extension workers (HEWs) were interviewed. Interviews were audio-recorded, transcribed verbatim in local languages, and then translated into English. Data were analyzed thematically, using deductive and inductive coding. The consolidated criteria for reporting qualitative research (CORE-Q) checklist was followed to report the findings.Results: Results indicated that postpartum women had experienced recurrent violence before, during, and after pregnancy from their husbands, with 16 out of 22 women being subjected to perinatal intimate partner violence. A majority of the participants delineated their exposure to perinatal physical violence next to perinatal psychological violence. Many of the interviewed women noted that violence during pregnancy was exacerbated and increased during postpartum. Moreover, the interviewees revealed that some partners were not only a serious threat to their wives, but also their infants during the postpartum period. Four of the participants stated that their newborns were hit and thrown by their father and became unconscious. Participants linked husbands’ perinatal violence with suspicion about the newborn, male-child preference, partner infidelity and jealousy, contraceptives usage, alcohol consumptions, indifference to shortages on household necessities, improper parenting, and financial problems.Conclusion: This study highlights that postpartum women are experiencing continuous and severe forms of perinatal IPV in the study setting. Thus, community-level interventions that minimize perinatal partner violence against postnatal women and their infants are needed.Keywords: postpartum women, perinatal, violence, phenomenological, Ethiopia

The present paper is a practical supplement to an earlier theoretical work by the author, published in a preceding issue, on methodological foundations of the European philosophizing in the aspect of sophical synthesis. Building upon understanding of general philosophical methodologies (methodological attitudes) and their ‘epochal’ implementations as presented there, the author makes use of a cross-cutting example, to show ‘zones of responsibility’ and onto-gnoseo-epistemological limits for every mentioned ‘way towards the thing.’ Six marker packages (by the number of methodologies and variants of sophical viz. life-knowledge synthesis) should be of special professional interest as proposed by the author to identify methodological attitudes and ‘edge’ cases ranging from Antiquity to nowadays. One of the educational sex dimensions of the Fundamental Transformation Document of education is the bodybuilding and physical educational dimension, and one of the categories covered in this dimension is attention to sexual education. Sexual education is one of the challenging areas of education in various societies and this has led to the creation of many social problems and behavioral deviations among the younger generation. The present study aims to study the barriers of sexual education curriculum in high schools with a phenomenological approach. The data were collected using a semi-structured interview technique with Nineteen people included parents, teachers and principals in Tehran 6th district, with a purposeful sampling method and were analyzed based on the colazzi،s strategy. The results of this research identified the barriers to the sexual education curriculum at the high school in three Emergent Theme and nine Theme Clusters including family factors such as parental resistance and reluctance vs children sexual education, communication skills weakness between adolescents and parents, and the kind of viewing of adolescent sexuality from the viewpoint of adults, also organizational factors such as, dramatic shortage of sexual education specialist teachers in education, restriction and challenges of educational resources in the field of sexual education, support and policy weakness of sexual education in context of Islamic education and challenge of desire interaction between home – school. and finally Sociocultural factors such as social sensitivity, personal and unbiased perceptions of religious foundations.

Background: The anaesthetic workforce is a scarce resource in South Africa (SA), and the media frequently reports that anaesthetists are leaving the country in search of better opportunities in well-resourced countries. The aim of this study was to explore the factors influencing the migration intentions of South African anaesthetists. Methods: This study utilised a qualitative methodology in the form of virtual interviews. A total of 23 interviews were conducted on purposefully selected participants using a snowball approach. The interviews were transcribed and coded into emerging themes using MAXQDA version 2022. Thematic content analysis was subsequently performed. Results: The study found that all SA-based participants were considering emigrating, while those who had already emigrated had no plans to return to SA in the near future. Push factors prompted the consideration of emigration, and these were related to unsatisfactory living and working conditions in South Africa, such as a high level of crime and corruption, and the country’s overall poor resources and infrastructure. Destination countries were chosen based on their pull factors such as better working conditions and opportunities for professional growth. These pull factors frequently outweighed South Africa’s push factors and are therefore critical in the decision to emigrate. The main recommendations from the participants include facilitating collaboration between the public and private sectors, expanding the available sub-specialties in SA, and recognising fellowships in South African hospitals. The study participants were of the view that South African anaesthesiologists would be motivated to stay by a combination of patriotism and hope for the future. Conclusions and Policy Recommendations: The Anaesthetic workforce in South Africa is at critical risk and is unlikely to stabilise soon. Concerted efforts should be made by all concerned to explore ways of retaining the staff, considering the recommendations of the participants. Relevant key stakeholders in training and regulation of anaesthetics practice such as the Health Professions Council of South Africa, South African Society of Anaesthesiologists, and the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa should collaborate and prioritise mechanisms of monitoring emigration and intervening on modifiable professional and socio-political factors.

The paper is based on an autoethnographic study of dancing via Zoom over the Covid19 lockdown in Sydney, Australia. Its theoretical framework takes up Iris Marion Young's critical phenomenology and work on domestic space to think about certain focal points of the experience, such as having a room to move in, the floor, and the screen. This study was conducted to explore the sense of place in the Lawas Maspati Village community through physical, social, and cultural factors through the use of a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and field documentation from respondents selected through a purposive sampling method using individuals that have lived for more than 20 years and aged over 40 years old. The results showed the sense of place in Lawas Maspati Village community was formed by physical, social, and cultural factors including the ancient colonial-style buildings, historical areas, historical memories in the struggle period through cultural heritage areas, mutual cooperation, mutual respect, cangkrukan tradition, friendly characteristics of Arek Suroboyo such as tolerance, openness, busyness but friendliness without hurt feelings, traditional culinary, and religious traditions.

The purpose of this article is to understand the socio-labor conditions experienced by sex workers,part of a qualitative, phenomenological research, with the in-depth interview technique, in peopleover 40 years of age working in the streets and squares of the Historic Center Quito. In the findingsof the daily world of women there is a lack of labor rights, precariousness, unworthy wages, insecurity,inequity, poverty, discrimination and violence, which affects the physical and mental health ofthem and their families, this is further increases by the lack of recognition as a job and by the statusthat society has given women sex workers. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo comprender las condiciones sociolaborales que viven las trabajadoras sexuales, parte de una investigación de tipo cualitativo, fenomenológico, con la técnica de entrevista a profundidad, en personas mayores de 40 años que laboran en las calles y plazas del Centro Histórico de Quito. En los hallazgos del mundo cotidiano de las mujeres se percibe falta de derechos laborales, precariedad, salarios indignos, inseguridad, inequidad, pobreza, discriminación y violencia, lo cual afecta a la salud física y mental de ellas y de sus famílias. Esto se acrecienta aún más por la falta de reconocimiento como un trabajo y por el estatus que le ha dado la sociedad a las mujeres trabajadoras sexuales.

Background: The number of volunteers in Danish nursing homes is increasing. Volunteers cooperate with professional caregivers to improve the residents’ well-being and quality of life as part of their palliative care. The Danish government encourages this volunteer involvement, which is partly intended to alleviate the resource constraints in municipal healthcare. Although volunteer roles are defined as complementary to the professional caregiver role, volunteer‒professional caregiver cooperation can be challenging. Aim: This article explores the challenges experienced in volunteer‒professional caregiver cooperation in the general palliative care provided in nursing homes. Method: A qualitative design and a sociological phenomenological approach were adopted to answer the research question: What is experienced as challenging in the cooperation between volunteer and professional caregivers in the provision of care for elderly residents in everyday life in a nursing home? And what meanings and understandings are associated with these experiences? Data were collected by combining participant observations and interviews, and thematic analysis structured the analytical process. Findings: The analysis of 115 hours of participant observations in two Danish nursing homes with 50‒60 volunteers involved and 16 interviews (eight with volunteers, eight with professional caregivers) identified two overall themes: ‘Symbolic indications of them and us’ (two sub-themes) and ‘Meaning and action regarding the residents best interest’ (three sub-themes). Conclusions: An institutional distinction between volunteer versus professional caregiver domains contributed to a sense of ‘them and us’, which hindered common experiences and raised challenges concerning the mutual understanding of actions. The professional caregivers felt that they lacked the time to engage in social care activities with residents, for which volunteers otherwise had time. The coordinator role was a crucial link in coordinating the daily care activities for residents but marked by a sense of ambivalence among the professional caregivers.

The New Testament documents represent a variety of perceptions about the church, showing that the early church was not unitary in practise or theology. How do we explain the diversity in the early church? Existential phenomenological hermeneutics can shine insightful light on this question by utilising Heidegger’s concept of Dasein in an interpretation model. The model used the pre-structure of Dasein (pre-understanding, presuppositions and prejudice) and its interactive circular dynamic with the hermeneutical concepts of world and phenomena to table aspects of the hermeneutic situation and the resultant Dasein types as self-understanding developed from various groups’ interpretations of Jesus. In this way, the hermeneutic dynamic explains the variety of pre- and post-Easter groups. The results show that there is no objective, standard view of Jesus and no objective set of Jesus’ teachings available; no ideal Dasein type is presented for faith communities. The kerygma of the Crucified and Risen One as God’s act of salvation is the central presupposition of the church’s Dasein. The historical nature of hermeneutics cannot be denied. Historical–critical exegesis and its circular dynamic of understanding is a legitimate and sound hermeneutic model. Unhistorical hermeneutics have definite limitations and should be deemed insufficient. There is no plain meaning of any phenomenon or text, only the text or phenomenon as it is understood. Faith communities consciously partake in the hermeneutic dynamic and recognise the influence of their pre-understandings, presuppositions and prejudices which constantly be questioned and adjusted to facilitate their authentic Dasein. Contribution: This historical hermeneutical study explains that different hermeneutical situations lead to different Dasein types as various self-understandings developed according to Jesus groups’ interpretations of Jesus varied. No ideal Dasein type for faith communities is presented. These findings resonate with HTS Theological Studies focus and scope regarding historical thought in research.

The experiences of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) in Zimbabwe find expression in the maxim that says ‘Where two elephants fight, the grass suffers the most’. Orphans and vulnerable children in Zimbabwe have been the casualties of disharmony between traditional and contemporary leadership philosophies for more than three decades. Using a phenomenological approach, the study involved 20 key informants, who included community leaders and OVC caregivers. Underpinned by the traditional leadership perspectives, the study examined the role of traditional leaders in supporting OVC for the purposes of integrating its relevant compatible elements with modern OVC care and support systems. The study showed that there is lack of synchronicity between traditional and contemporary OVC care and support systems, which ultimately compromises the effectiveness of the social care professions in rural communities in Zimbabwe. The study recommends the establishment of an integrated contextually-based OVC care and support model to enhance the relationship between traditional and contemporary leadership in Zimbabwe.

Self-medication is recognized as a behavior of health management among university students. This study aimed to describe the practices of self-medication and explore the factors influencing self- medication practices among university students built upon by the experiences of students who were concerned with this issue. A phenomenological qualitative approach was applied by using a purposive sampling method consisting of 30 university students. Semi-structured interviews were used to collect data. The results showed the most common form to be purchasing non-prescription medications. Paracetamol and medications for treating the cold and flu were the most common types of self-medication. This behavior is influenced by a previous experience of self-medication, doctors and health services, influential persons, environmental factors, attitudes towards self- medication and doctors, cost, the perception of the disease and its symptoms, and self-medication information resources. Therefore, it is necessary to develop interventions and strategies to minimize the risks and harmful effects associated with the improper use of these medications based on influencing factors.

Background and Objectives: In Iran, marriage is considered as one of the social and cultural issues of contemporary time, because problems, bottlenecks, and barriers in the way of young people, especially student population, have increased over the recent years. Therefore, understanding the experience of student marriage is required to provide appropriate information for discovering and investigating relevant and acceptable interventions. The present study aimed to explain the lived experiences of student marriage. Methods: In this qualitative study with hermeneutic phenomenological approach, 12 students of Qom University of Medical Sciences, were selected for participation in the study using purposive sampling. Data were collected through deep semi-structured interviews, and then were analyzed by Diekelmann method (1989). Results: After analysis of the data, the main theme appeared with 3 sub-themes. The main themes was “self-flourishing in the face of challenges", which consisted of sub-themes of evolution, stability, support, and challenges ahead. Conclusion: According to the results of this study, marriage affects all aspects of student life and changes their lives. Student marriage is associated with challenges that prepare the ground for evolution. Marriage leads to self-flourishing in the students, which makes their lives meaningful and prepares the ground for progress in the path of life. &nbsp

In this exploratory multiple case study, grounded theory and triangulation were employed to examine 10 cases. The women, their partners, and (regular and holistic) health care professionals were interviewed in an attempt to determine whether there was a pattern to their experiences. Two propositions emerged. The dominant one was a trajectory of trauma, self-education, concern about paternalism, and conflict leading to a negative choice for holistic care. The rival proposition was a path of trust and positive choice for holistic care without conflict. We discuss these two propositions and make suggestions for professionals for building a trusting relationship using continuity of care, true shared decision making, and an alternative risk discourse to achieve the goal of making women perceive the hospital as safe again.

Background and aims: Studies of the elderly population confirms the global epidemic of Alzheimerchr('39')s. Iran is also faced with the wave of increasing disease. Alzheimerchr('39')s is a threating situation for the family and community in different dimensions such as health, social, political, economic and psychological position. Families are forced to take care of patients and as a result faced many problems. The aim of this study was to investigate the familychr('39')s life experiences of the care of elderly with Alzheimerchr('39')s in Isfahan. Methods: This study is qualitative with phenomenological description approach. The study populations are elderly patients with Alzheimerchr('39')s and their families in Isfahan. Purposive sampling method was used in the study. After interviews with10 participants, Colaizzi method is used to analyze the data. Results: After analyzing by Colaizzi Method, at first, 201 conceptual codes extracted. Then 20 sub themes extracted. Extremely 8 main themes emerged. Sacrifice, care burden, caregiverschr('39') captive, impaired family relationship, job disturbances, fear of stigma, maintaining excellence in patient, Puzzlement at the time and reactive feelings. Conclusion: According to the findings of the current study, Alzheimerchr('39')s Disease will cause psychological, physical, and economic and socially complications that a lot of these complications is tolerated on family care givers. Therefore, looking for solutions such as establishing institutes for elderly support, developing courses like elderly nursing, and psychological specific education to reduce the burden on family is essential.

This research aims to gain insight into the incorporation of indigenous worldviews on mental health. Unstructured interviews were used on 16 counsellors who practised in Bangalore following the phenomenological paradigm. The interviews were audio- recorded and transcribed following which it underwent the 4 stages in Giorgi’s method. The revelatory themes obtained from this study were that clients viewed counsellors as authority figures, they experienced shame and guilt, lack of social support, ostracism, isolation, faced language barriers, feared diagnosis and medication and so on. The main conduit of religion and culture, the family, is influenced by class, education, rural or urban origin, joint or nuclear setup and so on. Counsellors developed the skills and sensitivity to respond to these demands.

The author calls for a tendency characteristic of Western culture to perceive the natural world through the prism of its symbolic interpretation, as a projection of human reality. He emphasizes the need for a change in perception based on a sensual, physical connection with the natural world and the development of aesthetic perception. This allows us to comprehend the natural world in a specific environment as more complex, diverse, rich and beautiful.

Some comparative research on the growth of social assistance in low- and middle-income countries attributes this expansion to the influence of transnational actors, particularly multilaterals. This chapter challenges this widely held view, for which a review of available comparative literature fails to find strong support. Addressing this issue is important because it raises central questions about the focus, scope and methods of comparative research on emerging welfare institutions in low- and middle-income countries. The chapter argues that a focus on institutions as opposed to policies, better data and quantitative methods, as well as a clearer conceptualization of the role of transnational actors will take us further toward theorizing emerging welfare institutions in low- and middle-income countries.

Introduction: Families have an important role in the successful treatment of people with pulmonary tuberculosis. The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the role of the family as a caregiver in caring for family members suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods: The phenomenological qualitative design was chosen to obtain in-depth information by interviewing thirteen family members who cared for pulmonary tuberculosis patients determined through a purposive technique. Results: The content of Collaizi's analysis produced five themes, namely: 1) Nonpharmacological therapy is given by the family to treat symptomatic pulmonary tuberculosis 2) Efforts to cut transmission was carried out by the family to prevent transmission of disease, 3) Nutrition support provided by families in treating patients, 4) Instrumental support given by families in caring for pulmonary tuberculosis patients, 5) Emotional support given by families in treating pulmonary tuberculosis sufferers. Conclusion: The family provides physical and psychological care to support the successful treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis. A program is recommended to increase family knowledge in caring for family members suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis. Words are sorted alphabetically.
