The aim of this study was to describe the clinical and morphological characteristics of mixed mammary neoplasms and verify what characteristics affect the prognosis of female dogs with carcinomas in mixed tumors and carcinosarcomas. This was a retrospective study of 67 female dogs that underwent mastectomies and were diagnosed with benign mixed tumors (n=13), carcinomas in mixed tumors (n=44) and carcinosarcomas (n=10). Data regarding the clinical and histological aspects of the neoplasms were collected and the relation with specific survival times, and hazard ratios (HR) in 24 months was calculated. In univariate analysis, the diagnosis of carcinosarcoma (HR 8.26, p=0.006), carcinomatous areas with micropapillary or solid patterns (HR 17.49; p=0. 001) and lymph node metastasis (HR 7.07;p=0.020) were associated with specific survival. In multivariable analysis, only micropapillary or solid pattern (HR=16.34; p=0.007) remained independent factor associated with lower specific survival. Micropapillary or solid carcinomatous patterns were associated with shorter specific survival time (p=0.002) among animals with carcinomas in mixed tumors. Among the carcinosarcomas, lymph node metastasis (p=0.010) was associated with a shorter specific survival time. In conclusion, carcinomas in mixed tumors and carcinosarcomas vary in prognosis depending on the carcinomatous proliferation patterns and spread of the disease. RESUMO O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever as características clínicas e morfológicas das neoplasias mamárias mistas e verificar quais características interferem no prognóstico de cadelas com carcinomas em tumores mistos e carcinossarcomas. Este foi um estudo retrospectivo de 67 cadelas, que foram submetidas a mastectomias e diagnosticadas com tumores mistos benignos (n = 13), carcinomas em tumores mistos (n = 44) e carcinossarcomas (n = 10). Foram coletados dados sobre os aspectos clínicos e histológicos das neoplasias e a relação com o tempo de sobrevida específica e a razão de risco (OR) em 24 meses foram calculadas. Na análise univariada, o diagnóstico de carcinossarcoma (HR 8,26; p=0,006), as áreas carcinomatosas com padrão micropapilar e sólido (HR 17,49; p= 0,001) e metástase linfonodal (HR 7,07; p=0,020) foram associadas à menor sobrevida específica. Na análise multivariável, apenas o padrão micropapilar ou sólido (HR=16,34; p=0,007) permaneceu como fator independente associado à sobrevida. Proliferações carcinomatosas micropapilares ou sólidas (p = 0,002) foram associadas a tempos de sobrevida específica mais curtos entre os animais com carcinomas em tumor misto. Entre os pacientes com carcinossarcoma, metástases em linfonodos (p = 0,010) foram associadas a um menor tempo de sobrevida específica. Em conclusão, os resultados mostraram que os carcinomas em tumores mistos e os carcinossarcomas podem ter prognóstico variável, dependendo do padrão de proliferação carcinomatosa e da disseminação linfática da doença.

This thesis deals with the topic of place as one of the most important concepts of human geography. The term place is examined from the perspective of social constructivism. In the first part the thesis focuses on the term place, place perception, space perception and place identity. Those and other important terms are discussed based on scholar literature considering the terms. In the second part of this thesis changes of place identity are analyzed using the example of Zbuzany, a suburban village of Prague with its space dynamically grounds. Old maps and aerial photos are used for observation of the changes within the area. Also, the main phases of space development are defined. The third part of this thesis uncovers the symbolic space using semi-structured interviews conducted with six respondents from three age groups representing different generations. The interviews were analyzed and the differences in sense of place and space among generations were proved.

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the topic of space and experiencing by means of creative processes using mostly painting technique. It is based on works of theorists and philosophers of Norberg-Schluz or Václav Cílek who are interested in these topics over a long period. The thesis is focused on relationships with places in the village where the author lives. In the first part, the author describes theoretical backgrounds of the work and integrates them to the context of contemporary Czech as well as foreign artists. In the second part, the work deals with the places in the village the author lives called Sebranice. She is close to that place and she reflects the specific atmosphere of the village by means of her paintings and their reflections. The third, didactic part contains projects (their realization and reflexion) which are based on her own theoretical and practical experience with pupils. The aim of the projects was development of sensitivity of perception and increasing interest of pupils in the places which surrounds them as well as art creation. The topic of this diploma thesis is the suburban landscape, place and space of the Vrané nad Vltavou municipality located in close proximity to the capital city of Prague. The author approaches the suburban landscape as a specific type of landscape, which combines elements of urban and rural character. The author describes the manifestations of this landscape liminality using ethnographic methods and demonstrates the diversity of spatial structures with her own visual documentation, together with a depiction of the specificity of not only the researched landscape, but also the specificity of the suburb itself in the Czech context. Through the concept of the landscape applied in the socio-anthropological discourse, the author connects the material aspects of the natural environment with the social level of ideas, feelings, and experiences that everyone forms in contact with the landscape. In this sense, the landscape is never finished and neutral, but on the contrary, it is constantly negotiated and confirmed in the daily interactions of human and the landscape. The practical part introduces and describes the selected company on which after collecting information from the company´s TOP management, an analysis of individual elements of the marketing mix is performed. The end of the bachelor thesis is based on the obteined information evaluated the creation of the company´s marketing mix and then suggestions are given.

This master thesis deals with the topic of the natural place and the place which is changed by people's activity. It deals with topic of genius loci, problems of loss of the place and our relationship to place where we live. In more detail it is focused on the city and its peripherals. It offers a short wiew to the history of cities and their periphery, architecture and urban planning. The thesis also deals with fine arts associated with the urban environment - artists, for which the city was and is an inspiration and a theme and with the role of art in public spaces. Research part of the thesis is aimed at children's perception of the place where we live. Through qualitative research methods I am trying to find out what is the meaning of the word "home" for todays children, how they percieve their close surroundings and what is the development of their thinking. The aim of the diploma thesis is to define a specific phenomenon bound to the current consumer society, which by its expression considers certain values and relations to the material world as necessary or, on the contrary, unnecessary. At the same time, it examines the boundary between consumer goods that we use on a daily basis and the subjects that have become part of our personality. These findings are demonstrated on specific examples. Telecommunication progress and its impact on today's consumer society in all aspects of nowadays lifestyle has become the starting point for the diploma work. Phone as an artifact has become part of our life with an ever more personal approach. This phenomenon is grasped theoretically, creatively and as an opportunity for pedagogical activity and research. The pedagogical intention is not only suggested but also verified and reflected in praxis.

Journal of Biomedical Practitioners - JBP English Abstract Purpose The primary purpose of this work is the creation of a standardized protocol for the study of FAI (femoro-acetabular impingement), such asCAM, PINCER and MISTO hip impingement. This protocol must include a radiological projection of high sensitivity and diagnostic reliability for this kind of impingement. The second aim of this work is to create a new standardized protocol for multislice CT scans, used to obtain a detailed image ofthe structure of joints to be used as a medical/diagnostic tool. The ethical and social objective of this project is to have an early diagnosis of the pathological situation in order to delay, where possible, hip replacement therapy, and laying a foundation for a preventative approach, including physical therapy treatment on patients suffering from these disabling conditions. Materials and Methods We recruited a sample of 47 patients, diagnosed with of impingement. X-ray images, using four non-standardised projections, already in use and found in the literature: AP standing, Obl. False Profile of Lequesne (standing), Obl. of Lauenstein, Obl. of Ducroquet. These projections were tested to find out the levels of sensibility and diagnostic reliability, creating a protocol. The projections with the highest levels of sensibility and diagnostic reliability were readapted in CT multislice, creating an appropriate protocol. Results The projections used in our research allowed the standardization of an operative protocol for the diagnosis and differentiation of the different kinds of FAI. Each protocol found can identify the appropriate projection fit for the purpose. We confirm the role of CT multislice is as a second-line diagnostic tool for hip impingement. By using load-bearing images, we can confirm the diagnosis and spatially describe the impingement. Cílem studie je navázat na současný stav bádání o vztahu bezdomovectví a představy domova v České republice. Na základě svého více než tříletého etnografického výzkumu bezdomovců v lokalitě středně velkého města (zahrnující aktivní zúčastněné pozorování a polostrukturované rozhovory s bezdomovci) a dílčích aspektů sociální struktury/organizace bezdomovecké skupiny popisuji (a) aktérskou definici domova; (b) nutné prvky emické definice domova; (c) opuštěnou budovu (emicky nazývanou Hilton), z níž někteří obyvatelé deklarovali, že ji považují za domov, a (d) vybrané mechanismy sociální organizace bezdomovecké skupiny. Základními pozicemi sociální struktury jsou submisivní solitéři, agresivní solitéři, submisivní skupinky a dominantní skupinky. Aktérská definice zahrnuje sociální vazby, pocit bezpečí, fyzické dispozice obydlí a jeho vybavenost. Sociální organizace odkazuje k utváření sociálních vazeb (sdílení, darování, půjčování), sociální hierarchizaci (trestání za neoplácení daru a nesplácení půjček, sklon k použití násilí) a morální ekonomii (od sdílení k okrádání). Specifická konfigurace těchto aspektů vytváří potenciál pro vnímání určitého místa coby domova. Tento interpretační rámec vysvětluje, proč někteří bezdomovci mají domov, a zároveň poodkrývá praxe, které se spolupodílí na produkci jeho absence.

V nich předkládané argumenty komentuje a doplňuje z hlediska soudobého gerontosociologického výzkumu.

Tento text sleduje dvojí cíl. Na jedné straně v souladu se současnou kulturně-antropologickou kritikou obecně přijaté představy zakořeněnosti ukazuje, že společenství, ke kterým nás naše kulturní identity vážou, jsou sice zprostředkována místy, ale ta nemusí mít nutně charakter lokálních kultur. Neboli poukazuje na to, že kulturní identity formují naše vztahy k sobě samým a druhým tím, že zvýznamňují naši příslušnost k určitým společenstvím, která však nemusí být nutně společenstvími žité přítomnosti každodennosti. Na straně druhé se zabývá kritikou zakořeněnosti, podle níž jsou pro naši současnost charakterističtí lidé, kteří se identifikují s deteritorializovanými podobami domova. Tuto kritiku prohlubuje tezí, podle níž nemusí mít místa formující kulturní identity nutně podobu (ani deteritorializovaného) domova. Nedomyšleným důsledkem zdůrazňování důležitosti identifikace s deteritorializovanými podobami domova je totiž reprodukce normativní představy, podle níž je původním, normálním a přirozeným místem formování kulturních identit místo mající charakter domova.

(in English): Diploma thesis Genius loci as an aesthetic problem is addressed by defining the concept of genius loci and exploring its aesthetic implications and parallels. After clarification of the ontological nature of this phenomenon its commonalities will be monitored with selected concepts of environmental philosophy and aesthetics, especially the aesthetic dimension of the environmental experience. Publications of Christian Norberg-Schulz and David E. Cooper are used as a starting material.

As a subject to my bachelor's thesis I chose the sculptures and installations made by Czech artists during the period of 1980s, which were created with the aim of exterior placement, out of the traditional exhibition spaces represented by museums and galleries. The keynote of my work will be the relation and interactions between a piece of art and its surroundings as well as the concept of space itself and its overlooked qualities that art may help to reveal. I decided to focus on the exhibition known as Malostranské dvorky, which took place in Prague in 1981. The idea that has led to the organization of the exhibition and its specific circumstances will be my main interest alongside the description of the particular works of art displayed and their destiny during and after the official end of the exhibition. Furthermore, I will compare the exhibition held in the intimate and unique atmosphere of the old Prague quarter with art that was produced in the same period of time within the official state commissions for newly constructed housing estates and public buildings, such as department stores, hospitals and more. The theoretical part is about concepts of places, landscape, genius loci, Land Art and in those concepts are connected through the walking. The theoretical part is structured into various individual "imaginary steps", the development of my thoughts on the subject and then refers to the cultural contexts. In the practical part I focus on descriptions and examples of my own artistic realization. The last didactic part describes the model learning schemes. I tried to follow starting experience, i.e. scheme: to live - to think out - to tell. The main part is mainly inspired by my one year study in Lisbon in Portugal. Just stay here and the opportunity to perform physically demanding 750 km long pilgrimage route across Portugal, forms the basis of my practical part performance art. This BA thesis in Translation Studies consists of two major parts. The first part is a Czech translation of a selected part of an essay written by Pierre Bayard entitled Comment parler des lieux où l'on n'a pas été ? The main objective of this thesis is to analyze places and everyday paths of specific actors, that are generated through their repetitive routine activities. These activities are influenced by certain higher order rules - so-called pacemakers, which are dealt with in the thesis. Part of the thesis not only presents some space-time concepts, but also applies them in practice. The work proceeds from a basic concept of a place being structured through life actors themselves who create such place. These concept pacemakers play an important role, controlling the course of everyday life of the localized place, as well as the course of an ordinary day in the life of the actor. The institution of primary school becomes the main pacemaker and represents a linking element of all parts. In connection with the ongoing process of suburbanization and the reality of changing lifestyle and demographic composition in the neighborhood of cities, one may observe here certain indication of current changing supralocal influence of primary school pacemakers in Pilsen and its suburbs. The paper also focuses on the analysis of a particular place, the municipality where the individual pacemakers manifest and create the polyrythmicity of place through localized rhythms. The aim of this work is to analyse marketing mix in the selected company. Based on the analysis there was created a plan of how to improve the current marketing mix. The theoretical part of my paper contains general theoretical background of marketing and especially the marketing mix. The marketing mix includes four marketing tools (Product, Price, Place, Promotion), which are generally referred to as 4P.

The thesis also analyzes textbooks of the "Man and His World" educational area and determines how and to what extent it is focused on the theme of home, region, the past, identity of subject and places of public area. The empirical part consists of an educational project closely linking the curriculum of art education with curriculum of the subject "Man and His World". It focuses on primary education and it's goal is to effectively educate children about the history of the town they live in using interdisciplinary approach. The educational project is based on theoretical findings stated in the theoretical part of the diploma thesis. It is also set to the context of contemporary art but in comparison to modern art it seems to be based more traditionally. I present the sing as a nonverbal system of communication and a way of labelling objects. I search for the connections and contradictions of the existence of legal [traffic signs, orientation signs, signboards] and illegal graphic signs [graffiti and street art] in the public space. In the didactic part I suggest and realize the art projects where some technics of graffiti and street art are used. The artistic themes: SING - LETTER - PICTOGRAM - PUBLIC SPACE are processed at my art lessons at both primary and secondary schools. We discuss the meaning of these words in the public space. The part of the thesis is a research study among the pupils of a primary and secondary school which tries to point at either different or the same art perceptions by the pupils and their mental constructions of these. The thesis discusses affinities between physical and psychical spaces in selected works of D. H. Lawrence, Virginia Woolf and Wyndham Lewis in connection with the main philosophical and aesthetic problems posed by the changes in modernist representation of character with respect to space and place. In doing so, the argument assesses the "in-human humanism" of D. H. Lawrence and Virginia Woolf which manifests itself in the interrelation between states of mind and material universe, the way in which the consciousness accommodates various material "admixtures" and how subjectivity "escapes" from subject to its own outside. Using the conservative thought of Wyndham Lewis as a vital source of comparison, the thesis examines how the interaction of these newly constructed modernist subjectivities with space changes and challenges traditional ideas of unity of self, personal identity and autonomous agency. Drawing on a number of themes from visual arts, the discussion connects these psychical factors with the notions of solidity and fluidity/stability and instability of material reality and individual objects, moving bodies or things in space. Over the last few decades Czech cities have experienced significant improvements of physical environment, and urban regeneration is one of the processes contributing to these changes. The final appearance of renewed environment is the result of negotiations and conflicts among key actors involved in the regeneration process. The decision- making process of urban regeneration is influenced by many factors including the perception of the qualities of the buildings and of the place. The regeneration process can also change the place and its meanings. The aim of this diploma thesis is to characterize the role of perception in decision-making process of urban regeneration in the case of two parts of the city of Ostrov built in different architectural styles. First, the theoretical knowledge related to perception of the architectural heritage and its regeneration is discussed, with emphasis on the concept of place as a pervading approach. As the main research findings, the differences in the perception of given buildings were identified among the city residents and among the actors as well. It was also proven that the perception of given buildings affects the approach of the actors to regeneration to some extent, although in many cases the other factors predominate.

The Kolin's villas quarter "Čechovy sady" was founded at the beginning of the twentieth century as a residential area of local social elite. The builduings owners were for example artists, teachers, entrepreuners or architects and builders. During the "First republic" it became place of representative and resting belt of greenery of near surroundings, just in sight of the city center. However, the turning points of history - the second world war and mainly the communist coup in February 1948 - totally changed political, social, economical, ideological and cultural course of events. These historical moments left its marks on the people of Čechovy sady, and also on the fate of the whole "place". Present bachelor thesis analyses by way of the example of villas quarter Čechovy sady the transformation of the conceptions of housing, way of life and architecture. It attempts to explain that the villas architecture in the Czechoslovakia of the second half of the twentieth century was the unsuitable type of building, therefore there was established the collectivist and mass concept of society, policy, and also housing and architecture. In my thesis, I made a qualitative analysis of narrative biographic inteviews and participant observation of the inhabitants of Prague housing estate Stodůlky, in order to find out the way they conceptualize their locality as a place or a space. I explore how the narrators put themselves in the framework of their lived locality and how they divide this locality. Drawing on a similar theorethical distinctions of place and space introduced by Eric Hirsch and Maruška Svašek, I examined if the narrators conceptualisations make evidence of a socially negotiated local identity and if it is the case, how the housing estate Stodůlky emerges as "home". Hirsch's distinction means that time and space appears only through the perceptions of place. In accord with Svašek I dealt with three different forms of identity - territorialized, deterritorialized a reterritorialized identity. These three forms treats identity in rather symbolic way.

Rad je strukturiran trodijelno. U uvodnom se dijelu (1. Književna historiografija o Antunu Bačiću) donosi sintetski prikaz bio-bibliografijskih podataka o Antunu Bačiću s poražavajućim zaključkom da su spomenuti podatci u suvremenim književnopovijesnim radovima znatno oskudniji u odnosu na ono što se o Bačiću znalo u 19. stoljeću. U drugom, središnjem dijelu rada (2. Istina katoličanska – nenabožno o nabožnome) istražuju se i interpretiraju dvije primarno nenabožne sastavnice Istine katoličanske, a to su fauna i svakodnevica. U zaključnom se dijelu sažeto naglašava kako je Antun Bačić na različite načine pokušao približiti svome neumitnu čitatelju temeljne postavke katoličke vjere i da je u te svrhe koristio i životinjski svijet i svijet svakodnevice.

5 Abstract This essay presents an attempt to interpret the key moments of Heidegger's conception of spaciousness. Considering the fact, that Heidegger didn't publish his understanding of spaciousness in any systematic form, it is necessary to work with a great amount of primary texts often available only in a fragmentary shape. Another difficulty is given by the author's use of language, which requires very demanding translations; we always translate the source texts in this paper. Within his conception termed as the topology of being Heidegger attempts to think about the space not as a measurable quantity, but in correlation with the Greek concept of τόπος, i.e. the qualitatively determined place. This essay concentrates on Heidegger's early work as well as on his late period, during which the topological thinking plays a central role; it also tries to identify the connection between them. The understanding of thinking as a way is essential, as well as the connection of thinking and poetry and the relation between space and time, which are considered of equal value in Heidegger's late work. Diploma thesis deals with possibilities of interpretation of landscape park type ornamented farm in Veltrusy castle area in the current context. Park is treated as an artificial place, which function changes in the course of history. The concept of space is used in the sense of meaningful place, which one can understand and be identified with. In the empirical part, we try to reveal the primary structure and characteristic motifs of the park, which are important for the interpretation of its meanings in new historical context, so as to maintain its identity and dynamics. As the text has as many interpretations as readers, so has the park as many interpretations as visitors. Park enters into an ongoing dialogue with its users, but in the changing historical context. The aim of this work is not an effort to create "one holistic" interpretation of the park, but to provide the basis for individual interpretation. In conclusion we consider the possibility to convey the structure and nature of the park to visitors and make them more responsive to the identity of the park and give them the possibility of individual interpretation.

The subject of this bachelor thesis is "The Marketing Mix of the Selected Product - Chopped Firewood - in the Company LESS & FOREST". The aim of this work was to describe tools of marketing mix of the selected product which are used in the company LESS & FOREST. The first part of the bachelor thesis is based on theoretical knowledge from the literature. The second part of this work contains information about the company and the description of the marketing mix which company uses. There is information about the product Chopped Firewood. Then there are information about price of this product, place of the product and promotion of the product.

The master thesis Object in Landscape deals with the relationship of a human and the landscape. As humans can never detach themselves from their subjective perception of reality, they determine the criterion of the perception and relating oneself to the landscape. The objective of this work is to compare and contrast the viewpoint of landscape presented in the literature with the author's personal experience as well as the personal experience of artists working in or with the landscape. This confrontation results on the one hand in the presented art work, on the other hand in a series of educational tasks providing the validation of the theory.

O objeto de estudo desta pesquisa histórica é o imaginário contemporâneo de franceses sobre o Brasil e de brasileiros sobre a França. Considerando o imaginário como sendo não o oposto do real, mas uma das duas facetas que o compõe, propõem-se desvelar o imaginário que, hoje, interliga o Brasil e a França, sem perder de vista seu histórico através dos tempos. O ponto de partida escolhido, para tanto, é o próprio imaginário de brasileiros e de franceses, tangenciados através de entrevistas de história oral. De um lado, foram entrevistados quinze franceses que moram ou moraram no Brasil, seis franceses que viajavam ou viajaram pelo país e seis franceses que aqui nunca estiveram; por outro, foram entrevistados dezoito brasileiros que moram ou moraram na França, quatro brasileiros que viajavam ou viajaram pelo país e seis brasileiros que lá nunca estiveram. Para completar, foram entrevistados cinco franco-brasileiros. No momento de análise das fontes, optou-se por dar centralidade aos depoimentos concedidos pelos migrantes, sejam eles franceses que moram ou moraram no Brasil ou brasileiros que moram ou moraram na França. E, dentre os migrantes temporários, são os que se deslocaram no globo para estudar que mereceram atenção especial. Perseguiu-se a resposta para cinco perguntas, ao longo da tese. O que levaria brasileiros a se mudarem definitivamente para Rennes (França)? O que faria com que franceses viessem a se radicar em Belo Horizonte? Porque brasileiros partiriam para estudar na França? Porque franceses viriam estudar no Brasil? O que as razões do migrar diriam acerca do imaginário sobre o lugar escolhido como destino migratório? É através das entrelinhas dessa viagem em direção ao outro que é a migração, portanto, que se tentou abarcar o imaginário sobre esse outro do sujeito que migra. The object of this historical research is the contemporary images of the French about Brazil and of Brazilians about France. Considering the imaginary not as the opposite from what is real but as one of its aspects, this research proposes to unveil the imaginary which currently interconects Brazil and France, without losing sight of its historical perspective. For this purpose, the selected starting point is the Brazilian and French imaginary itself, surfaced in oral history interviews. Fifteen French citizens who live or have lived in Brazil were interviewed, along with six others who were traveling or have once traveled to Brazil and six who have never been here; eighteen Brazilian citizens who live or have lived in France were also interviewed, along with four Brazilians who were traveling or have traveled to France and six ones who have never been in France. Ending the row, five French Brazilians were interviewed. When analysing the reserach sources, migrant testimonies were given priority, considering as this either the French who live or have lived in Brazil or the Brazilians who live or have lived in France. And, among the temporary migrants, special attention was granted to those who have moved to study. The answer to five questions was pursued along this thesis. What would take Brazilians to permanently move to Rennes (France)? What would make the French settle in Belo Horizonte? Why would Brazilians go study in France? Why would the French come to study in Brazil? What would the migration motives say about the chosen places imaginary as a migration destination? It is therefore by means of this journey, represented by the migration, that we have tried to catch the imaginary about the other as seen by the migrant.

Studie zkoumá možnosti vzájemného obohacení dvou zřídka propojovaných oblastí bádaní - transnacionální antropologie a turistických studií. Soustředí sa na relevanci tohoto spojení pro výzkum identitárních konstrukcí a jejich vztahu k místu, specificky v souvislosti s otázkami "autenticity" domorodých "turistických etnicit" a kulturního kapitálu nízkonákladových nezávislých turistů, který údajně získavají svou transnacionální mobilitou.
