Hyperreactio luteinalis is a benign, pregnancy-related condition with cystic enlargement of the ovaries and elevated androgen. However, only one-third of patients manifest as maternal virilisation and rarely does it cause fetal virilisation. Here, we report a virilised baby girl born to a virilised mother because of hyperreactio luteinalis. This case illustrates our management to maternal and fetal virilisation.

Background: Artemisiae capillariae (Yinchen, YC) is a well-known herbal medicine used to treat drug-induced liver diseases, while the bioactive phytochemicals and pharmacological targets of YC remain unclear. Objective: The study aimed to probe the key active components in YC and determine the potential molecular mechanisms of YC protect against DILI Method: In this study, we first delved into the active chemicals and targets of YC, identified potential anti-AILI targets for YC, mapped the components-targets network, performed protein-protein interaction (PPI) analysis, gene ontology (GO) enrichment, and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes (KEGG) signaling pathway analyses of the action targets. This led to figure out the liver protective mechanism of YC against AILI. Analyzing the molecular docking of key targets, binding domain of ingredients and targets reveals the effective interaction, and the binding energy explains the efficiency and stability of the interactions. Results: Network analysis identified 53 components in YC; by systematic screening 13 compounds were selected, which were associated with 123 AILI-related genes. The core ingredients were quercetin, capillarisin and Skrofulein, and the identified crucial genes were AKT1, TNF, and IL6. The GO and KEGG pathway enrichment analysis results indicated that the anti-AILI targets of YC mainly take a part in the regulation of oxidative stress and immune, with related signaling pathways including PI3K/AKT and IL17. Furthermore, the binding pockets of YC bioactive ingredients and key targets were revealed, and the binding ability was proved by molecular docking analysis. Conclusion: This study has revealed the potential bioactive molecules and mechanism of YC in AILI and provided a possible strategy for the identification of active phytochemicals against drug-induced liver injury.

Drought is one of major abiotic stress limiting rice stable production. In thestudy, four rice cultivars, IAPAR9 (upland rice cultivar), H8 and H10 (drought-tolerance variant lines derived from 6527 embryo-soaked with Alternantheraphiloxeroides DNA solution) and 6527 (ordinary rice cultivar), were used tostudy the antioxidant characteristics of drought-resistant varieties by superoxidedismutase (SOD) activity, peroxidase (POD) activity, malondialdehyde (MDA)content and their related gene expression profiles. The results showed that theSOD activity, POD activity and MDA content were increased significantly underdrought stress, while decreased in the yield and its related traits such as seedsetting ratio, 1000-grain weight and grain number per panicle. The SOD andPOD activities in drought-tolerant rice (H8, H10 and IAPAR9) were significantlyhigher than those in drought-sensitive 6527. Less MDA content was producedin drought-tolerant rice (H8, H10 and IAPAR9) than sensitive 6527. The yieldof H8 was significantly higher than that of other cultivars, and the seed settingratio and 1000-grain weight from those with drought-tolerant were significantlyhigher than that of sensitive 6527. After drought stress, there were 11 genesrelated to antioxidant progress whose expression profiles changed significantlybetween H8 and 6527. These results suggested that drought tolerant cultivarsmaybe subdue harms from the peroxidation by inducing the express of relatedgenes of antioxidant process, further increasing the SOD activity and PODactivity. Thus, their enhancement of drought resistance could maintain thenormal growth and development under drought stress and achieve maximumphotosynthate storage

Background: Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) is an effective treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), however, the complications of TACE have gradually become a concern of clinicians. Injury to the bile duct has been the focus of many scholars. Case Presentation: HCC was diagnosed in a 51-year-old female patient, and the first TACE was performed on April 10, 2020. The second TACE was performed on October 18, 2021. After the second TACE, The patient suffered from nausea, jaundice, and body itching. Computed tomography (CT) of the abdomen showed that the lower common bile duct was obviously blocked by the solidified lipiodol accompanied by dilatation of intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile ducts on October 27, 2021. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancretography (ERCP) and endoscopic nasobiliary drainage (ENBD) were performed on October 29, 2021. The deposition of lipiodol in the common bile duct was significantly reduced. Conclusion: After the transcatheter arterial chemoembolization for hepatocellular carcinoma, we should be on alert for damage to the bile duct, and pay attention to the deposition of lipiodol in the common bile duct.

Backgroud: Many dyes or radioactive markers used for sentinel lymph node (SLN) have the shortcomings of false positive and radiation injury. Indocyanine green (ICG) seems to have a lower false positive rate and tissue damage, without a clear field of vision during the operation. Methods: For the shortcomings, we successfully synthesized three anionic pullulan materials, changed the degree of hydrophobic for size controlling (< 50nm) to prepare CHP nanoparticles (NPs) and changed the succinyl degree to prepare CHPC NPs with different negative surface potential. Results: The size of those NPs were less than 50nm under (transmission electron microscope) TEM, with hydrodynamic size of 90.67±2.2nm of CHP, 105.8±1.7nm of CHPC1 and 115.9±2.3nm of CHPC2. Moreover, the Zeta potential of CHP, CHPC1 and CHPC2 were -1.9±0.2mV, -9.6±0.3mV and -19.4±0.7mV. The size of ICG-loading CHP, CHPC1 and CHPC2 NPs increased to 109.4±2.7nm, 113.8±1.2nm and 30.6±3.5 nm, as the zeta potential decreased to -2.7±0.4mV, -12.5±1.6mV and -23.1 ±1.2mV. With the increasing degree of succinyl, the size increased and the zeta potential decreased. At the same time, the higher degree of succinyl drug-loading NPs have lower release and have increased the stability of ICG. We found that the blank-NPs had no significant toxicity to normal cells (HSF), as the ICG@CHP group had larger toxicity than the CHPCs and control. Moreover, the cellular uptake was decreased with the increased degree of succinyl. Conclusion: In this study, we successfully prepared CHPC2 carriers with the maximum negative surface charge, for follow-up research and providing new ideas for SLN.
