With the deterioration of the global ecological environment, sustainability is gradually becoming the main theme of economic development. The promotion of green finance can help alleviate the contradiction between the environment and the economy and therefore enhance sustainable development. This paper selects panel data of each from 2011 to 2020 as the research object and explores the effects of green finance, technology development level, the urbanization process, marketization level, and economic openness on the level of sustainable development and the regional differences by using the combination weight measure, convergence test, K-means clustering, and panel data analysis. The empirical results show that the overall degree of differences in sustainable development levels among s and cities tends to decrease from 2011 to 2020. From the overall results, the positive development of green finance, technology development, urbanization, marketization, and economic openness all contribute to sustainable development; from the regional analysis results, except for the western region, the sustainable development patterns of s and cities are coordinated, and factors such as green finance still play a positive role in sustainable development. Finally, combined with the findings, this paper suggests that the relevant suggestions to achieve high-quality development nationwide.

In this essay, I will talk about two papers that were published. In order to demonstrate the activities of inactive ingredients, these two papers reported the impact of inactive ingredients on biological targets through some experiments. Because as the development of pharmaceutical chemistry, more and more people pay more attention on medication safety. As a result, in this paper, I will use the Thimerosal, Glycyrrhizin and Butylparaben as the main experiment examples to help explain the discovery of the effect of inactive ingredients on biological targets. Because there was not systematic research, this article will discuss this topic about materials and methods in order to have a better understanding.

Post-stroke chronic stress (PSCS) is generally associated with the poorer recovery and more pronounced cognitive dysfunction. Recent evidence has implied that S-ketamine can reduce suicidal ideation in treatment-resistant depression. In this current study, we aimed to investigate whether the administration of S-ketamine ameliorated cognitive deficits under PSCS conditions, which was established by a model combining middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) and chronic restraint stress. Our data suggested that mice exposed to PSCS exhibited depression-like behavior and cognitive impairment, which coincided with astrocytosis as indicated by increased GFAP-positive cells and impairment of long-time potentiation (LTP) in the hippocampal CA1. Subanesthetic doses (10 mg/kg) of S-ketamine have significantly mitigated depression-like behaviors, cognitive deficits and LTP impairment, reduced astrocytosis, excessive GABA, and inflammatory factors, including NLRP3 and IL-18 in astrocytes in the CA1. Besides, neuroprotective effects induced by S-ketamine administration were found in vitro but could be partially reversed by an agonist of the NLRP3 nigericin. Our current data also suggests that the subanesthetic doses of S-ketamine improved cognitive dysfunction via the inhibition of hippocampal astrocytosis in a mouse model of PSCS.

Aims To explore the predictive value of ferroptosis-related (FR) biomarkers for diabetic kidney disease (DKD) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Methods This prospective observational study enrolled patients with T2DM at the Second Hospital of Jilin University between December 2021 and March 2022. DKD was measured by the urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio. Receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) analysis was performed to assess the predictive value of ferroptosis-related biomarkers for DKD.The risk factors for massive proteinuria were performed by multivariable logistic regression analysis. Results Finally, 118 patients (53.0 ± 12.2 years, 76 males) were enrolled, 52 of them without DKD (had normal proteinuria), while 66 with DKD. (Forty-one had microproteinuria, and 25 had massive proteinuria.) FR biomarkers, including acyl-CoA synthase long chain family member 4 (ACSL4), malondialdehyde (MDA), and reactive oxygen species (ROS), were significantly higher in the massive proteinuria group than in the other groups, while glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) was significantly lower (all P < 0.05). The area under the ROC of the combination of GPX4, ACSL4, MDA, and ROS for predicting DKD was 0.804 (P < 0.001). Additionally, multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the course of disease and ferritin levels were independent risk factors for massive proteinuria, while high serum iron, transferrin, and GPX4 levels were independent protective factors for massive proteinuria in patients with T2DM (all P < 0.05). Conclusions The GPX4, ACSL4, MDA, and ROS combination might have a good predictive value for DKD. Additionally, the course of disease, ferritin levels, serum iron, transferrin, and GPX4 were independently associated with massive proteinuria.

This paper investigates suppressing the pitching oscillation of a NACA 0012 airfoil at a Reynolds number of [Formula: see text] by using phase-shifted trailing-edge morphing. The latter considering geometric nonlinearity is simulated numerically based on spatiotemporal polynomial surface fitting. Flowfield results and aerodynamic forces are obtained by solving the unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes equations accompanied by a low-Reynolds-number modified-shear-stress transport model. Dynamic meshing combining a sliding mesh and Laplacian diffusion is developed to deal with the deformation of the computational grid due to the large-amplitude coupled pitching and morphing motion of the airfoil. The airfoil is subjected to stall-flutter analysis from an energy perspective by calculating the energy extracted by the airfoil from the freestream in an oscillation cycle. The flow control mechanism of the phase-offset trailing-edge morphing is analyzed in terms of the pressure distribution and moment contribution. The results suggest that trailing-edge motion with a phase of [Formula: see text] reduces the energy extraction by more than 300% and could be effective for suppressing the stall-flutter limit-cycle oscillation amplitude in specific ranges of amplitude and frequency.

A maximum distance separable (MDS) array code is composed of $m\times (k+r)$ arrays such that any $k$ out of $k+r$ columns suffice to retrieve all the information symbols. Expanded-Blaum-Roth (EBR) codes and Expanded-Independent-Parity (EIP) codes are two classes of MDS array codes that can repair any one symbol in a column by locally accessing some other symbols within the column, where the number of symbols $m$ in a column is a prime number. By generalizing the constructions of EBR and EIP codes, we propose new MDS array codes, such that any one symbol can be locally recovered and the number of symbols in a column can be not only a prime number but also a power of an odd prime number. Also, we present an efficient encoding/decoding method for the proposed generalized EBR (GEBR) and generalized EIP (GEIP) codes based on the LU factorization of a Vandermonde matrix. We show that the proposed decoding method has less computational complexity than existing methods. Furthermore, we show that the proposed GEBR codes have both a larger minimum symbol distance and a larger recovery ability of erased lines for some parameters when compared to EBR codes. We show that EBR codes can recover any $r$ erased lines of a slope for any parameter $r$, which was an open problem in [2].

Objectives. The experiment aimed to explore the effects of curcumin on motor impairment, dopamine neurons, and gut microbiota in the 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP) mice model. Methods. Mice were randomly assigned to six groups: normal control group, solvent control group, MPTP group, curcumin-low-dose group (40 mg/kg), curcumin-medium-dose group (80 mg/kg), and curcumin-high-dose group (160 mg/kg). After 14 days, each group of mice was subjected to the pole text, the hanging test, and the open-field test. Tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) immunohistochemistry was used to observe the survival of nigrostriatal dopamine neurons. Moreover, ultrastructural changes were observed with a transmission electron microscope in mice striatal tissue cells. Then, 16S rRNA was used to assess changes in the gut microbiota. Results. (1) Each dose of curcumin reduced pole climbing time and increased suspension score and total distance moved dose-dependently. (2) All curcumin groups improved cell wrinkling and vacuolar degeneration, increased the number of TH positives, improved cell survival, and the higher the dose of curcumin, the better the effect. (3) There were differences in microbiota composition and a relative abundance among the groups. The relative abundance of Patescibacteria, Proteobacteria, and Verrucomicrobia was higher in the MPTP group. The relative abundance of Patescibacteria, Enterobacteriaceae, Enterococcaceae all decreased in all curcumin groups. In addition, the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathways showed a reduction in the superpathway of N-acetylneuraminate degradation after medium- and high-dose curcumin administration. Conclusions. Curcumin regulates gut microbiota and exerts a neuroprotective effect in the MPTP mice model. This preliminary study demonstrates the therapeutic potential of curcumin for Parkinson’s disease, providing clues for microbially targeted therapies for Parkinson’s disease.

Psychological distress and posttraumatic stress, including anxiety, severely influence life quality. Previously, we reported that interleukin-18 (IL-18) was involved in pyroptosis-induced emotional changes in a rodent model of hemorrhagic shock and resuscitation (HSR). Here, we aimed to continue our investigation on the role of IL-18 binding protein (IL-18BP), which exhibits excellent anti-inflammatory effects as an IL-18 negative regulator. Mice were administered with an intraperitoneal injection of IL-18BP after HSR exposure and anxiety-like behavior was examined using the open-field test and elevated plus maze test. Moreover, the following variables post-HSR were measured: (1) the activation of astrocytes; (2) pyroptosis-associated factors including cleaved caspase-1, GSDMD, IL-18; (3) the roles of IL-18 receptor (IL-18R)-NOD-like receptor pyrin domain-containing-3 (NLRP3) signal with the application of the NLRP3 specific agonist or astrocyte-specific NLRP3 knockout mice. IL-18BP administration remarkably alleviated HSR-induced anxiety-like behavior, astrocytic activation, and increases in pyroptosis-associated factors, while NLRP3 agonist nigericin partially reversed IL-18BP-induced neuroprotective effects. Astrocyte-specific NLRP3 knockout mice exhibited relatively less anxiety-like behavior. Similarly, IL-18BP exhibited an anti-pyroptosis effect in astrocytes in an in vitro model of low oxygen-glucose deprivation. These findings offer unique perspectives on HSR-induced posttraumatic stress and indicate that inhibition of IL-18R-NLRP3 signal via IL-18BP can attenuate astrocytic activation and pyroptosis, broadening the therapeutic landscape for patients with psychological distress and posttraumatic stress.

Accurate and robust prediction of patient-specific responses to a new compound is critical to personalized drug discovery and development. However, patient data are often too scarce to train a generalized machine learning model. Although many methods have been developed to utilize cell-line screens for predicting clinical responses, their performances are unreliable owing to data heterogeneity and distribution shift. Here we have developed a novel context-aware deconfounding autoencoder (CODE-AE) that can extract intrinsic biological signals masked by context-specific patterns and confounding factors. Extensive comparative studies demonstrated that CODE-AE effectively alleviated the out-of-distribution problem for the model generalization and significantly improved accuracy and robustness over state-of-the-art methods in predicting patient-specific clinical drug responses purely from cell-line compound screens. Using CODE-AE, we screened 59 drugs for 9,808 patients with cancer. Our results are consistent with existing clinical observations, suggesting the potential of CODE-AE in developing personalized therapies and drug response biomarkers.

Non-volatile main memory (NVRAM) is likely to break the bottleneck caused by data transferring between main memory and extern storage, and fundamentally change the way applications do data persistence. We can build persistent data structures directly on NVRAM. To do this correctly and efficiently, we need the support of persistent allocators guaranteeing failure-consistency. However, existing persistent allocators pay huge persistence overhead for failure-consistency. In this article, we present Zallocator, a write-optimized failure-consistency allocator for NVRAM. Zallocator hardly brings write operations to NVRAM. It keeps all the heap management metadata in DRAM, and rebuild them after a crash. Experimental results show that Zallocator achieves a throughput comparable to state-of-the-art transient allocators, and reduces the average number of NVRAM writes per allocation/deallocation to almost zero.

Objective. This study further explored LINC00958’s role in promoting tumor angiogenesis (AG) and oxidative stress (OS) development by inhibiting BC cell autophagy through sponge adsorption of miR-625-5p. Methods. BC patients and healthy controls who visited our hospital between June 2017 and February 2019 were selected as the research group (RG) and the control group (CG), respectively, with a total of 133 study subjects. Peripheral blood LINC00958 and miR-625-5p in both cohorts of participants were detected. Additionally, human bladder transitional cell carcinoma cells (T24 and J82) and human normal urothelial cells (SV-HUC-1) were purchased. Alterations in cell biological behavior were observed after transfecting miR-625-5p-mimics, miR-625-5p-inhibition, and miR-625-5p-NC sequences into these cells, respectively. Besides, ELISA was performed to quantify inflammatory factors (IFs), AG indicators, and OS indexes in cells. Subsequently, a double luciferase reporter (DLR) assay was performed to verify the targeting relationship between LINC00958 and miR-625-5p. Finally, BALB/c-nu nude mice were purchased, and T24 cells transfected with silenced LINC00958 and miR-625-5p expression sequences were used to establish subcutaneous tumors to observe tumor growth and pathological changes. Results. RG exhibited higher LINC00958 and lower miR-625-5p than CG. LINC00958 and miR-625-5p were strongly linked to myometrial invasion (MI), lymph node metastasis (LNM), distant metastasis (DM), and histology in BC patients, and the increase of LINC00958 and the decrease of miR-625-5p predicted an increased risk of prognostic death in such patients. After miR-625-5p inhibition, the capacity of BC cells to proliferate, invade, and migrate enhanced and the AG, inflammatory response, and OS injury increased, while the apoptosis rate and autophagy ability decreased. The DLR assay revealed inhibited LINC00958WT fluorescence activity by miR-625-5p-mimics, while the biological behavior of BC cells cotransfected with sh-LINC00958 and miR-625-5p-inhibition had no difference with the functions of sh-control and miR-625-5p-NC cotransfected cells. Finally, the nude mouse tumorigenesis experiment showed that the tumor mass, volume, and histopathological features of the sh-LINC00958 group were decreased compared with the sh-control group, while those of the miR-625-5p-inhibition group were increased versus miR-625-5p-NC. Conclusions. In BC, LINC00958 is highly expressed while miR-625-5p is underexpressed. LINC00958 can inhibit cell autophagy to enhance cell activity; promote OS, inflammation, and AG; and regulate tumor immunity by targeting miR-625-5p, thus participating in the development of BC.

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) results from upper airway remodeling, which has been suggested to alter sensory and motor neuron function due to hypoxia or snore vibration. This study investigated whether OSA was associated with the risk of flavor disorder (FD).Seven thousand and eight hundred sixty-five patients with OSA and 7865 propensity score-matched controls without OSA were enrolled between 1999 and 2013 through a nationwide cohort study. The propensity score matching was based on age, sex, comorbidities including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, ankylosing spondylitis, and Charlson comorbidity index, and co-medications during the study period, including statins and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. The adjusted hazard ratio (aHR) of incident FD following OSA was derived using a Cox proportional hazard model. A log-rank test was used to evaluate the time-dependent effect of OSA on FD. Age, sex, comorbidities, and co-medications were stratified to identify subgroups susceptible to OSA-associated FD.Patients with OSA were at a significantly great risk of FD (aHR = 1.91, 95% CI = 1.08-3.38), which was time-dependent (log-rank test p = 0.013). Likewise, patients with hyperlipidemia were at a significant great risk of FD (aHR = 2.99, 95% CI = 1.33-6.69). Subgroup analysis revealed that female patients with OSA were at higher risks of FD (aHR = 2.39, 95%CI = 1.05-5.47).Patients with OSA were at significantly great risk of incident FD during the 15-year follow-up period, especially in female patients with OSA.Timely interventions for OSA may prevent OSA-associated FD.

Obturator hernia is an infrequent pelvic hernia observed in elderly, emaciated and multiparous women. It often presents with nonspecific clinical symptoms, making it difficult to diagnose.We conducted a retrospective descriptive study on 11 patients admitted to our hospital for obturator hernia from 2009 to 2020.All the patients were diagnosed with intestinal obstruction due to incarcerated obturator hernia preoperatively. Eight patients underwent laparotomy with low midline incision. Laparoscopic approach was tried on the other three patients with two patients converting to open surgery because of inadequate visualization, and only one patient received laparoscopic repair. Of the 10 patients receiving laparotomy, seven cases received obturator hernia repair with a match and three cases were subjected to bowel resection (two cases intestinal necrosis and one case intestinal perforation). Simple peritoneal closure was performed on the three contaminated cases. One patient died of septic shock and multiple organ failure.The emergent computed tomography allow for early and precise diagnosis of incarcerated obturator hernia. Laparotomy with low midline incision is commonly used to manage obturator hernia in an emergency, whereas laproscopic approach may only apply to some selected cases.

Postoperative cognitive decline (POCD) is a common complication after surgery and anesthesia among the elderly. Yet the potential mechanism of POCD remains ambiguous, with limited therapeutic measures currently available. Ketamine has been reported to attenuate POCD after cardiac surgery. Herein, we tried to determine the effect of esketamine (the S-enantiomer of ketamine) on POCD and the possible molecular mechanisms.We investigated the effects of esketamine (10 mg/kg) on POCD using an exploratory laparotomy model in aged SD rats (24 months). Open field, novel object recognition, and morris water maze tests were performed on day 30 post-surgery. 24 h or 30 d post-surgery, brain tissue from the hippocampus and ventromedial prefrontal cortex (vmPFC) was harvested and subjected to histopathology and molecular biology analysis. During the in vitro experiment, primary astrocytes from the hippocampus and vmPFC were exposed to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) to investigate the pathological changes in astrocytes during the process of POCD.Our results indicated that exploratory laparotomy could induce significant cognitive and memory decline, accompanied by A2-type astrocytes phenotype loss and increased expression of neuron Aβ-42, astrocytes GABA, stimulator of interferon genes (STING) and TANK-binding kinase 1 (TBK1). In addition, LPS exposure significantly decreased the mitochondrial membrane potential and upregulated the level of pyroptosis-associated proteins, including cleaved caspase-1 and IL-18. Notably, treatment with esketamine reversed these abnormalities in vivo and vitro. However, ADU-S100, a special STING activator, suppressed the protective effects of esketamine to a certain extent. Finally, C-176, an antagonist of STING, further enhanced the protective effects of esketamine against POCD.Findings of our study suggest that esketamine can alleviate surgery-induced POCD in rats via inhibition of the STING/TBK1 signaling pathway.

Olpasiran, an N-acetyl galactosamine-conjugated, hepatocyte-targeted, small interfering RNA, is being developed to reduce plasma lipoprotein (Lp)-(a) concentration by directly targeting the LPA gene. This study evaluated the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and tolerability of a single SC injection of olpasiran in healthy, Japanese and non-Japanese participants.In this Phase I, open-label, parallel-design study, Japanese participants were randomized in a 1:1:1:1 ratio to receive a single 3, 9, 75, or 225 mg dose of olpasiran. Non-Japanese participants received a single 75 mg dose of olpasiran. The primary end points were pharmacokinetic parameters, including CA total of 27 enrolled participants had a mean (SD) age of 48.0 (12.5) years. Olpasiran CIn this population of healthy Japanese participants, dose-proportional increases in exposure and reduced Lp(a) in a dose-dependent manner were found with single 3, 9, 75, and 225 mg doses of olpasiran. The magnitude and durability of Lp(a) reductions were similar between the Japanese and non-Japanese groups. Olpasiran was well tolerated, with no clinically important adverse events or laboratory or vital sign abnormalities.

The pivotal and most important technology point of the application of big data in modern network teaching is the establishment of teaching platform. Based on Hadoop big data technology, this paper establishes a big data platform designed by Chinese teaching institutions in colleges and universities. The teaching system not only realizes the diversified development of network teaching but also realizes the discovery of teaching platform users’ needs and the push of resources. In addition, it is found that a small number of people do not have a high understanding of the teaching mode of big data through extensive studies, which also shows that traditional teaching is still lagging behind in big data education. However, on the whole, the Chinese teaching model in universities based on the big data environment deserves further promotion and application in universities.

This article proposes an adaptive neural network (NN) control method for an n -link constrained robotic manipulator. Driven by actual demands, manipulator and actuator dynamics, state and input constraints, and unknown time-varying delays are taken into account simultaneously. NNs are employed to approximate unknown nonlinearities. Time-varying barrier Lyapunov functions are utilized to cope with full-state constraints. By resorting to saturation function and Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals, the effects of actuator saturation and time delays are eliminated. It is proved that all the closed-loop signals are semiglobally uniformly ultimately bounded, full-state constraints and actuator saturation are not violated, and error signals remain within compact sets around zero. Simulation studies are given to demonstrate the validity and advantages of this control scheme.

The METTL3-METTL14 complex, the "writer" of N

This paper studies the adaptive event-triggered finite-time tracking of output-constrained high-order nonlinear systems with time-varying powers. Due to the presence of multiple unknown powers and the consideration of event-triggered control, all the existing control methods of output-constrained nonlinear systems are inapplicable. By introducing nonlinear mappings, finite-time performance functions, and low-power and high-power terms into adding a power integrator technique and the relative threshold strategy, an adaptive state-feedback controller is designed to eliminate the effects caused by the output constraint and time-varying powers. It is proved that all the closed-loop signals are bounded, the asymmetric time-varying output constraint is not violated, and the tracking error converges to a prescribed arbitrarily small region around zero in a preassigned finite time. Furthermore, the Zeno phenomenon can be avoided. Two simulation examples demonstrate the effectiveness of this control scheme.
