For the wind speed prediction, many researchers have established prediction models based on machine learning methods, statistical methods, and theoretical methods, that is, direct methods. However, the direct method cannot be widely used in the wind direction prediction because the wind direction has strong randomness and uncertainty. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposed a wind direction prediction method, that is, indirect method. Specifically, the wind speed is decomposed into crosswind speed and alongwind speed considering the correlation between wind speed and wind direction. The crosswind speed and alongwind speed are predicted based on long short-term memory (LSTM) model with empirical mode decomposition (EMD), and then, the wind direction prediction value can be calculated, that is, the wind direction prediction is realized. One-month wind monitoring data collected by the structural health monitoring (SHM) system installed on investigated bridge are employed to demonstrate the effectiveness of direct and indirect prediction for forecasting the wind speed and wind direction.

In this study, a new blurred line enhancement scheme of computer art image based on Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) algorithm was proposed. The hard threshold method is adopted to remove the noise of computer art images and the blurred lines are extracted by texture separation method. Based on the line extraction results, the Deep Q-Network (DQN) model was built with DRL algorithm, and the sample images were input into the model, and the fuzzy line enhancement results of computer art images were obtained in the output layer. The proposed method exhibits excellent noise reduction effect, and the fuzzy line enhancement quality of computer art image is good. The average enhancement time is 0.58 s, and the practical application effect is good.

Blood-testis barrier (BTB) made of concomitant junction apparatus between Sertoli cells (SCs) is crucial for spermatogenesis. The tight junction (TJ) function is impaired in SCs with age, exhibiting an intimate relationship to testicular dysfunction induced by age. In this study, compared with those in young boars, TJ proteins (i.e., Occludin, ZO-1, and plus Claudin-11) were discovered to have reduced expressions in testes, and spermatogenesis ability declined in old boars. An in vitro age model for D-gal-treated porcine SCs was established, the performance of Curcumin as a natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound in affecting the TJ function of SCs was appraised, and related molecular mechanisms were exploited. The results manifested that 40 g/L D-gal downregulated ZO-1, Claudin-11, and Occludin in terms of the expression in SCs, whereas Curcumin restored such expressions in D-gal-treated SCs. Using the AMPK and SIRT3 inhibiters demonstrated that activation of the AMPK/SIRT3 pathway was associated with Curcumin, which not only rescued the expression of ZO-1, Occludin, Claudin-11, and SOD2 but also inhibited the production of mtROS and ROS and the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome and release of IL-1β in D-gal-treated SCs. Furthermore, with mtROS scavenger (mito-TEMPO), NLRP3 inhibitor (MCC950) plus IL-1Ra treatment ameliorated D-gal-caused TJ protein decline in SCs. In vivo data also showed that Curcumin alleviated TJ impairment in murine testes, improved D-gal-triggered spermatogenesis ability, and inactivated the NLRP3 inflammasome by virtue of the AMPK/SIRT3/mtROS/SOD2 signal transduction pathway. Given the above findings, a novel mechanism where Curcumin modulates BTB function to improve spermatogenesis ability in age-related male reproductive disorder is characterized.

A new ligand, 4-(4-carboxyphenyl)-6-(pyrazin-2-yl)picolinic acid (H2L1), was used to construct four isostructural one-dimensional (1 D) zig-zag chain coordination polymers ([M(L1)(H2O)2]·3H2O, M = Mn (1), Co (2), Cd (3) and Zn (4)). Moreover, when changing the ligand substituent group from pyrazine ring to furan ring, another new ligand, 4-(4-carboxyphenyl)-6-(furan-2-yl)picolinic acid (H2L2), was synthesized. Based on H2L2, different structural 1 D coordination polymers, ([Mn(L2)(H2O)2] (5) and [Ni(L2)(H2O)2]·H2O (6)), have been obtained under the same solvothermal conditions as for the syntheses of isostructural 1–4. Interestingly, only through changing the ligand substituent group, the 1 D isostructural zig-zag chain (1–4) was adjusted to a 1 D molecular box chain (5) and 1 D linear chain (6), which should be ascribed to ligand substituent group effects. The various 1 D chain structures originate from the types of ligand substituent group: the substituent group with a pyrazine ring only yields isostructural coordination polymers 1–4, whereas the substituent group with a furan ring can construct different structural coordination polymers, such as a 1 D molecular box chain (5) or a 1 D linear chain (6). The photoluminescent properties of all coordination polymers were also examined.

Aiming at the nonstationary characteristics of echo signal for a high-speed maneuvering target, a signal feature extraction method is proposed by combining the time-frequency analysis and convolution neural network, and then the automatic detection of radar moving target in a noisy environment is realized. Firstly, the echo signal is modelled as a more accurate Gaussian modulation-linear frequency modulation (GM-LFM) signal and converted into the time-frequency image by a second-order synchroextracting transform (SET2). Then, ridge extraction is applied to extract the maximum energy ridge from the time-frequency distribution, and the data set is constructed by the maximum energy ridge. Finally, the data set is input into AlexNet for training, and the deep-level features of echo signal are extracted to realize the automatic moving targets detection. Simulation results show that SET2 and RE can effectively enhance the time-frequency characteristics of echo signal under the noisy environment, and the detection accuracy and noise robustness of the proposed method are better than that of SET1 and smooth pseudo-Wigner–Ville distribution (SPWVD).

Cerebral cortical encephalitis (CCE) is a recently described myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD) phenotype. In this observational retrospective study, we characterized 19 CCE patients (6.7% of our MOGAD cohort). Headache (n = 15, 79%), seizures (n = 13, 68%), and encephalopathy (n = 12, 63%) were frequent. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed unilateral (n = 12, 63%) or bilateral (n = 7, 37%) cortical T2 hyperintensity and leptomeningeal enhancement (n = 17, 89%). N-Methyl-D-aspartate receptor autoantibodies coexisted in 2 of 15 tested (13%). CCE pathology (n = 2) showed extensive subpial cortical demyelination (n = 2), microglial reactivity (n = 2), and inflammatory infiltrates (perivascular, n = 1; meningeal, n = 1). Most received high-dose steroids (n = 17, 89%), and all improved, but 3 had CCE relapses. This study highlights the CCE spectrum and provides insight into its pathogenesis. ANN NEUROL 2022.

The six-degree-of-freedom (6 DOF) motion of the mother-ship, which is caused by wave fluctuation, makes offshore operations difficult. To solve this problem, various heave compensation systems were proposed, as well as the law of wave motion. These heave compensation systems included passive heave compensation system, semi-active heave compensation system, and active heave compensation (AHC) system. However, the empirical formula of wave motion is not suitable for practical offshore operations, and rare AHC systems take the characteristic of compensation into consideration. To study the compensation characteristic of the AHC system based on electric-driven marine winch in the actual sea condition and improve the accuracy of compensation, this work uses the measured data of wave motion, and deduces the motion equations of multi-axial driving system. By substituting the above elements into the AHC system and designing the sliding mode controller (SMC), the simulation results show the ideal compensation effect of the system. By comparing with experimental results, it is concluded that the driving system operates in according with the specified states, and the compensation performance of system is effective. The overall work is conductive to the research on AHC system, as well as the exploitation of marine resources.

This paper devotes to addressing the distributed containment formation control problem for multi-UAVs with collision avoidance and external disturbances. The proposed communication structure design algorithm enables the followers to form the pre-defined formation based on the containment control. Then, based on the information of the desired position for the followers, a novel Lyapunov function is designed to achieve global collision avoidance, and an adaptive backstepping containment control law is proposed. Moreover, by taking the advantage of deep reinforcement learning, a parameter optimization method is presented to balance the value of input signals and the performance of the controller. Finally, the simulation results demonstrate the superiority and effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

NUT carcinoma is a rare, highly lethal cancer characterized with the rearrangement of the nuclear protein in testis (NUT) gene on chromosome 15q14, which primarily occurs in the midline organs. Primary pulmonary NUT carcinoma (NC) lacks characteristic clinical manifestations, which leads to the high rate of misdiagnose and nonstandard treatment. To date, fewer than one hundred cases have been reported worldwide. Here, a comprehensive literature search involving a total of 35 articles with 55 patients was conducted in this paper. We reviewed and analyzed the associated clinical and pathological characteristics, the efficacy of various treatment options and the prognosis. Pulmonary NC mainly occurred in middle young-aged men (median age, 36) with no smoking history (2:1) and would present with symptoms of cough (63.6%), dyspnea (29.5%), chest pain (18.2%) and hemoptysis (18.2%). The initial imaging frequently revealed large and irregular lesions in the lower lobe (46.5%) of the left or right lungs; lymph node metastasis was also prevalent (91.9%). A focal squamous differentiation with abrupt keratinization often occurred in the undifferentiated or poorly differentiated (93.75%) tumor cells, with abundant necrosis and numerous neutrophils infiltrated. The mean overall survival (OS) in patients of this malignant disease was 6.21 months, and the median OS was 4.4 months. According to our results, this disease is sensitive to radiotherapy, and chemoradiotherapy (either concurrent chemoradiotherapy or sequential chemoradiotherapy) was the most efficient therapeutic regimen to prolong the OS of patients with pulmonary NC.
