Improper domestic food handling in rural areas of China is an important public health issue leading to foodborne illness. However, the underlying factors responsible for poor domestic food hygiene practices have not been comprehensively studied. Here, a cross-sectional study was conducted in Anhui Province, China between 2015 - 2016, using a questionnaire to collect data from 819 respondents, selected using multistage cluster random sampling techniques. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was then used to assess the demographic factors associated with improper food handling. Results showed that 525 (64.1%) of respondents used improper food handling techniques. The factors associated with improper food handling included gender, age, education, income, and occupation. Males (vs. females), adults aged ≥ 50 years (vs. those aged 18 - 30 years), individuals with primary school education or lower (vs. individuals with a bachelor’s degree or higher), individuals with annual incomes of < 4,387 USD (vs. income ≥ 13,161 USD), and workers (vs. other occupation groups) were more likely to report inappropriate food handling practices in rural areas. The results obtained from the present work may provide the basis for training in domestic food safety hygiene/handling practices in rural areas of China in order to reduce the incidence of foodborne illnesses.

The motivation to study experimentally CO ice under mimicked interstellar conditions is supported by the large CO gas abundances and ubiquitous presence of CO in icy grain mantles. Upon irradiation in its pure ice form, this highly stable species presents a limited ion and photon-induced chemistry, and an efficient non-thermal desorption. Using infrared spectroscopy, single laser interference, and quadrupole mass spectrometry during CO ice deposition, the CO ice density was estimated as a function of deposition temperature. Only minor variations in the density were found. The proposed methodology can be used to obtain the density of other ice components at various deposition temperatures provided that this value of the density is known for one of these temperatures, which is typically the temperature corresponding to the crystalline form. The apparent tendency of the CO ice density to decrease at deposition temperatures below 14 K is in line with recently published colorimetric measurements. Electron-induced chemistry is relevant to many processes that occur when an ionizing source interacts with matter, as in the formation of complex molecules within frozen condensates in space. We explore in this paper the radiolysis and the desorption processes affecting iced mixtures of water and carbon monoxide subjected to electron irradiation in the sub-keV regime. The experiments have been performed with the Interstellar Energetic Process System (IEPS), an ultra-high vacuum chamber equipped with an electron gun. The irradiated ices have been monitored with infrared and mass spectroscopies. We derive the chemistry and determine cross-sections for relevant processes as functions of the energy of the impacting electrons. We quantify the electron-stimulated desorption of some significant species in terms of their desorption yields, and relate these quantities to the electron penetration depth and the desorption-relevant length. The results of this study have been compared with the outcomes of similar experiments performed using pure carbon monoxide ices.

Microbial dysbiosis has been implicated in the development of atopic dermatitis (AD). The risk of development of AD following early-life infections remains unclear.To investigate the impact of early-life infections on AD development.This population-based nested case-control study was conducted using the Taiwan's National Health Insurance Research Database. A total of 5454 AD patients and 16 362 control subjects without AD were identified, for the period 1997 to 2013. Demographic characteristics, comorbidities and maternal factors were compared. Adjusted odds ratio (aOR) was calculated to examine the associations between early-life infections and subsequent AD by conditional stepwise logistic regression analysis.Mean age was 2.6 ± 2.9 years in both groups. Overall infections (41.8% vs. 28.9%) before the diagnosis of AD were more common in AD patients than in control subjects (P 0.001). Infectious diseases [aOR, 1.40; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.29-1.51], skin infections (aOR, 1.55; 95% CI, 1.40-1.71) and systemic antibiotic exposure (aOR 1.67, 95% CI 1.55-1.79) before AD diagnosis were independently associated with AD development on multivariate analyses. These results were consistent across observation periods (0-1, 1-2 and2 years after birth) and sensitivity analyses after redefining the index date as 3 or 6 months before the date of AD diagnosis. Other independent risk factors included asthma, allergic rhinitis, intussusception and neonatal hyperbilirubinemia. No association with subsequent AD was found for maternal age at delivery, Caesarean delivery or prenatal antibiotic exposure.Infections in early life are associated with AD development in infancy and early childhood.

We propose a new, rapidly convergent, the so-called Fourier over Spheroid (FoS), shape parametrization to model fission of heavy nuclei. Four collective coordinates are used to characterize the shape of the fissioning system, being its elongation, left-right asymmetry, neck size, and non-axiality. The potential energy landscape is computed within the macroscopic-microscopic approach, on the top of which the multi-dimensional Langevin equation is solved to describe the dynamics. Charge equilibration at scission and de-excitation of the primary fragments after scission are further considered. The model gives access to a wide variety of observables, including fission fragments mass, charge, and kinetic energy yields, fragment mean N/Z and post-scission neutron multiplicities, and importantly, their correlations. The latter are crucial to unravel the complexity of the fission process. This paper presents updated methods for locating the Poleward and Equatorward Auroral Luminosity Boundaries (PALB and EALB) directly from IMAGE Far UltraViolet (FUV) images of the Northern Hemisphere auroral oval. Separate boundaries are determined from images measured at different FUV wavelengths. In addition, new methods for indirectly estimating the Open-Closed magnetic field line Boundary (OCB) and the Equatorward Precipitation Boundary (EPB) locations are presented; these new boundaries are derived from a combination of the auroral luminosity boundary estimates with statistical latitudinal offsets derived from comparisons with low-altitude spacecraft Particle Precipitation Boundaries (PPBs). Subsequently, we derive new circle model fits for all these boundary data sets, as well as new quality control criteria for these model fits. The suitability of circle fits for each of the data sets is discussed, and the OCB and PALB circle fits are validated against the Convection Reversal Boundary (CRB), as measured by low-altitude in situ spacecraft. All the new boundary data sets, covering the epoch May 2000 to October 2002, are freely available online.

The author briefly expounds the influences of systemic diseases on dental diagnosis and treatment and the prevention of risks from seven aspects: cardio-cerebral vascular system, blood system, respiratory system, endocrine system, digestive system, genitourinary system, nervous system and mental system, in order to provide references for the dental clinicians.患有口腔疾病者可能同时患有不同程度的全身系统性疾病，这些伴发的系统性疾病对口腔疾病的诊疗时机、方案制订等带来影响和风险。本文从心脑血管系统、血液系统、呼吸系统、内分泌系统、消化系统、泌尿生殖系统、神经及精神系统7个方面简要阐述了系统性疾病对口腔诊疗的影响以及风险防范，以期为临床提供参考。.

Today, there is greater awareness on the association between oral diseases and respiration diseases after the outbreak of COVID-19. However, confusion regarding the oral health management and medical risk prevention for patients with chronic airway diseases has been remained among dental clinicians. Therefore, the dental experts of the Fifth General Dentistry Special Committee, Chinese Stomatological Association, combined with the experts of respiratory and critical care medicine, undertook the formation of consensus on the oral health management of patients with chronic airway diseases in order to help dental clinicians to evaluate medical risks and make better treatment decision in clinical practice. With the aging process of population in the society, the prevalence of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) in China is increasing continuously and the number of dental patients with CVD is increasing gradually too. Due to the lack of guidelines for dental patients with CVD in our country, how to implement standardized preoperative evaluation and perioperative risk prevention remains a problem to be solved for dentists at present. The present expert consensus was reached by combining the clinical experiences of the expert group of the Fifth General Dentistry Special Committee, Chinese Stomatological Association and respiratory and cardiology experts in diagnosis and treatment for CVD patients, and by systematically summarizing the relevant international guidelines and literature regarding the relationship between CVD and oral diseases and the diagnosis and treatment of dental patients with heart failure, hypertension and antithrombotic therapy. The consensus aims to provide, for the dental clinicians, the criteria on diagnosis and treatment of CVD in dental patients in China so as to reduce the risk and complications, and finally to improve the treatment levels of dental patients with CVD in China.随着社会老龄化进程，我国心血管疾病（cardiovascular diseases，CVD）患病率处于持续上升阶段，伴CVD的口腔患者逐渐增加。关于口腔医师应如何规范进行CVD患者的治疗前评估和围手术期风险防范，国内尚缺乏有针对性的指南和规范，是目前有待解决的问题。中华口腔医学会第五届全科口腔医学专业委员会专家组联合心内科领域专家组成共识专家组，根据当前国内诊治CVD患者的临床经验，结合国际相关指南及研究，从CVD与口腔疾病之间的关系，心力衰竭、高血压及抗血栓治疗患者口腔诊疗等方面进行系统性总结，形成专家共识，希望逐步实现CVD患者口腔诊疗的规范化与标准化，降低诊疗风险，减少并发症的发生，提高我国口腔医师对CVD患者的诊疗水平。.

Whether tumor mutational burden (TMB), which refers to the total number of somatic or acquired mutations per million bases in a particular region of the tumor genome, can serve as a predictive biomarker of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy for colon cancer remains unclear. Hereby, we retrospectively investigated the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) based on the level of TMB and tried to established a risk score model as a novel biomarker. The DNA mutation data were retrieved from the Masked Somatic Mutation in Genomic Data Commons data portal of the Cancer Genome Atlas, where the RNA sequencing data, clinical information, and survival outcomes of patients were downloaded. Patients with incomplete clinical information were excluded. The immune score and stromal score were calculated to investigate immune infiltration. The patients were grouped into TMB-high group and the TMB-low group based on the median value of TMB. An immune relevant gene set was obtained from the Immunology Database and Analysis Portal to identify immune-related DEGs. The Cox proportional hazard model and nomogram were applied to establish the risk model. In results: the TMB value was associated with age (p≤0.001), clinical stage (p≤0.001), N stage (p≤0.001), M stage (p=0.003), and immune score (p≤0.001). Twenty-nine immune-related DEGs were identified as enriched in immune response-related function or pathway and tumorigenesis signaling. Nine of 29 were determined to establish a riskScore model. The riskScore suggested a positive relationship with the TMB value (p=0.033), immune score (p≤0.001), and tumor immune dysfunction and exclusion (TIDE) (p=0.002) and presented an independent prognostic factor (p≤0.001, HR=1.04), which predicted the overall survival with good specificity. We concluded that the combination of TMB with transcriptome expression has a predictive and prognostic value for patients treated with ICIs.

At the low temperatures found in the interior of dense clouds and circumstellar regions, along with H2O and smaller amounts of species such as CO, CO2 or CH3OH, the infrared features of CH4 have been observed on icy dust grains. Ultraviolet (UV) photons induce different processes in ice mantles, affecting the molecular abundances detected in the gas phase. This work aims to understand the processes that occur in a pure CH4 ice mantle subjected to UV irradiation.We studied photon-induced processes for the different photoproducts arising in the ice upon UV irradiation. Experiments were carried out in ISAC, an ultra-high vacuum chamber equipped with a cryostat and an F-type UV lamp reproducing the secondary UV field induced by cosmic rays in dense clouds. Infrared spectroscopy and quadrupolemass spectrometry were used to monitor the solid and gas phases, respectively, during the formation, irradiation and warming-up of the ice. Direct photodesorption of pure CH4 was not observed. UV photons form CHx· and H· radicals, leading to photoproducts such as H2, C2H2, C2H6 and C3H8. Evidence for the photodesorption of C2H2 and photochemidesorption of C2H6 and C3H8 was found; the latter species is so far the largest molecule found to photochemidesorb. 13CH4 experiments were also carried out to confirm the reliability of these results., With funding from the Spanish government through the "María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence" accreditation (MDM-2017-0737)

The ^{13}C(α,n)^{16}O reaction is the main neutron source for the slow-neutron-capture process in asymptotic giant branch stars and for the intermediate process. Direct measurements at astrophysical energies in above-ground laboratories are hindered by the extremely small cross sections and vast cosmic-ray-induced background. We performed the first consistent direct measurement in the range of E_{c.m.}=0.24 to 1.9 MeV using the accelerators at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory and Sichuan University. Our measurement covers almost the entire intermediate process Gamow window in which the large uncertainty of the previous experiments has been reduced from 60% down to 15%, eliminates the large systematic uncertainty in the extrapolation arising from the inconsistency of existing datasets, and provides a more reliable reaction rate for the studies of the slow-neutron-capture and intermediate processes along with the first direct determination of the alpha strength for the near-threshold state.

Spin-polarized electrons confined in low-dimensional structures are of high interest for spintronics applications. Here, we investigate the electronic structure of an ordered array of Bi monomer and dimer chains on the Ag(110) surface. By means of spin-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, we find Rashba-Bychkov split bands crossing the Fermi level with one-dimensional constant energy contours. These bands are up-spin polarized for positive wave vectors and down-spin polarized for negative wave vectors, at variance with the Rashba-Bychkov model that predicts a pair of states with opposite spin in each half of the surface Brillouin zone. Density functional theory shows that spin-selective hybridization with the Ag bulk bands originates this unconventional spin texture.

Point source excitation and point detection in the near-field provides new perspective to study the near-field optical phenomena of plasmonic nanostructures. Using the automated dual-tip scanning near-field optical microscope (SNOM), we have measured the optical near-field response of a dipolar emission near the edge of a monocrystalline gold platelet. The image dipole method was used to analytically calculate the interference pattern due to surface plasmon polaritons excited at the position of aperture tip and those reflected from edges of the gold platelet. The near-field enhancement was observed on the edges of the gold platelet. Our results verify that automated dual-tip SNOM is an intriguing technique for quantum plasmonic studies where deterministic coupling of quantum emitters and the detection of the near-field enhancement are of great interest.

Gastric varices are one of the serious complications of liver cirrhotic portal hypertension. Balloon-occluded retrograde transvenous obliteration (BRTO), as an interventional treatment method, can effectively prevent and control gastroesophagel variceal bleeding. Simultaneously, it has an obvious effect in the treatment of hepatic encephalopathy and liver function improvement. Colorectal cancer liver metastasis can be categorized as initially resectable and initially unresectable liver metastasis. Patients with initially resectable colorectal cancer liver metastases may benefit from hepatic surgery significantly,while those with initially unresectable metastases also have an opportunity to be treated radically by liver surgery after conversion therapy,so as to have a prolonged survival time. It is crucial to choose the right time and right way of surgical intervention. The timing depends on determination of tumor resectability,controlling of pre-operative systemic therapy and evaluation of liver function after systemic treatment. The selection of right way contains the election between synchronous operation and staged operation, resection margin and using of technologies such as laparoscope and associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy. This paper aims to explore the optimal timing for operation and the approaches of surgical method based on the research progress worldwide for prolonging the survival time of patients with colorectal cancer multiple liver metastases.多发性结直肠癌肝转移可分为初始可切除和初始不可切除两类。初始可切除的患者可从肝脏手术中获益；而初始不可切除的患者亦有机会在转化治疗后，再通过肝脏外科手术获得根治的机会，从而延长生存时间。对于肝脏外科医师来说，如何选择合适的手术时机和手术方式非常重要，手术时机的选择包括对肿瘤可切除性的判断、术前治疗时间的控制和系统治疗后肝功能的评估；手术方式的选择包括同期手术与分期手术的选择、切缘的把握、腹腔镜和联合肝脏分割和门静脉结扎的分阶段肝切除术等技术的使用。本文结合国内外研究进展，就如何把握手术时机、选择合适的手术方式，以求延长结直肠癌多发肝转移患者的生存时间进行了探讨。.

Fluorine is one of the most interesting elements in nuclear astrophysics, where the ^{19}F(p,α)^{16}O reaction is of crucial importance for Galactic ^{19}F abundances and CNO cycle loss in first generation Population III stars. As a day-one campaign at the Jinping Underground Nuclear Astrophysics experimental facility, we report direct measurements of the essential ^{19}F(p,αγ)^{16}O reaction channel. The γ-ray yields were measured over E_{c.m.}=72.4-344 keV, covering the Gamow window; our energy of 72.4 keV is unprecedentedly low, reported here for the first time. The experiment was performed under the extremely low cosmic-ray-induced background environment of the China JinPing Underground Laboratory, one of the deepest underground laboratories in the world. The present low-energy S factors deviate significantly from previous theoretical predictions, and the uncertainties are significantly reduced. The thermonuclear ^{19}F(p,αγ)^{16}O reaction rate has been determined directly at the relevant astrophysical energies.

The isotopic enhancement of atmospheric ozone (O3) is mainly determined by two processes of formation and photolytic decomposition. The formation is known to be associated with isotopic fractionation which can be as high as 120‰ relative to the parent oxygen. Photolysis‐induced isotopic fractionation in O3, however, is not known accurately. Absorption cross sections of various ozone species have been calculated by Zero Point Energy‐based model and quantum mechanical wave packet model. But their predictions pertaining to isotopic fractionations have not been verified experimentally. In the present work, we performed irradiation experiments of O3 at several wavelengths in the Hartley and Chappuis bands and determined the dissociative isotopic fractionation factors by a Rayleigh distillation model. In laboratory conditions, photolysis of ozone produces reactive atomic and/or molecular oxygen which influence the dissociative process through secondary chemistry. The complex interplay of primary photolysis and secondary chemistry was tracked by a kinetic model, and isotopic fractionation factors associated with photolysis alone were derived within a range of uncertainties. The fractionations are found to depend on the photon wavelength and deviate significantly at some wavelengths from the predicted values. For example, at 254 nm the zero point energy‐based models predict lower photolysis rate coefficients for the lighter isotopic species; the present data show about 50‰ higher values.

Optimum structural design of composites is a research subject that has drawn the attention of many researchers for more than 40 years with a growing interest. In many cases, the loads acting on a composite structure may not be known precisely. Therefore, to design a fuzzy intelligent system, the datasets including general information about MDOF systems subjected to different earthquakes were used. The proportional major operation of the designed fuzzy system based on solving linear matrix inequality method optimized and derived by stability analysis of the system behavior. Because the design of efficient and high-performance structural systems is of fundamental interest to engineers, systematic methodologies are to be used for the combined structural and active control system synthesis in many applications. Based on the relaxed method, the intelligent approach can be stabilized by regulating appropriately the parameters of high-frequency injection. If the frequency is high enough, the trajectory of the closed-loop system and that of its corresponding model—the closed-loop fuzzy relaxed system can be made as close as desired. Thus, the closed-loop system’s behavior can be rigorously predicted by establishing the stability of the closed-loop fuzzy relaxed system.

Frequency conversion forms an integral block of the electronic circuits used in various applications including energy harvesting, communications and signal processing. These frequency conversion units however require external power sources and occupy a large device footprint making it difficult to be integrated in micro-circuits. Here we demonstrate that nanoscale magnetic tunnel junctions can act as frequency converters without an external power supply or DC bias source. The device directly mixes an external microwave signal with the internal spin precession oscillations to create new frequencies tunable by an external magnetic field in a single device with a small device footprint. We observe up-conversion and down-conversion of the input signal for excitation frequencies between 2 GHz and 6 GHz. We also show that the device acts as a zero-bias rectifier that can generate voltages exceeding 12 mV when the excitation frequency matches the natural oscillations mode of the device.
