2. Association between Gut Microbiota and Digestive System Cancers: A Bidirectional Two-Sample Mendelian Randomization Study

Accumulating evidence indicates that gut microbiota closely correlates with the tumorigenesis of digestive system cancers (DSCs). However, whether the causality between gut microbiota and DSCs exists is unknown. Genome-wide association study (GWAS) summary statistics for gut microbiota and DSCs and the bidirectional two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis were utilized to assess the causality between gut microbiota and DSCs. Sensitivity analyses were performed to evaluate the robustness of our results. We found that the genus Eggerthella (OR = 0.464, 95%CI: 0.27 to 0.796, p = 0.005) was negatively associated with the risk of gastric cancer. The genetically predicted genus Lachnospiraceae FCS020 group (OR = 0.607, 95%CI: 0.439 to 0.84, p = 0.003) correlated with a lower risk of colorectal cancer, and genus Turicibacter (OR = 0.271, 95%CI: 0.109 to 0.676, p = 0.005) was a protective factor for liver cancer. In the reverse MR, DSCs regulated the relative abundance of specific strains of gut microbiota. We comprehensively screened the association between gut microbiota and DSCs using a bidirectional two-sample MR analysis and identified the causality between several microbial taxa and DSCs. Our discoveries are beneficial for the development of novel microbial markers and microbiota-modifying therapeutics for DSC patients.

3. Quantum many-body scars in spin-1 Kitaev chain with uniaxial single-ion anisotropy

To establish a solid-state-based framework for the coexistence of quantum many-body scars and quantum criticality, we investigate the spin-1 Kitaev chain with uniaxial single-ion anisotropy (SIA). In the subspace with uniform $\mathbb{Z}_2$ gauge fields, this model can be exactly mapped to the spin-1/2 effective detuned PXP Hamiltonian, where the SIA plays a role of static detuning term. The quench dynamics starting from the product states are symmetric between the positive and negative values of the SIA, while a quantum phase transition from the Kitaev spin liquid to the dimer phase only occurs at the critical point with a negative $D_c$, implies the spontaneous breaking of the translational symmetry. We find that the coherent oscillations of quantum fidelity and certain local observables are sustained against small SIA perturbations in a quantum quench from special initial states. While the oscillation amplitudes of these observables decay with time as the SIA strength is increased, the system completely thermalizes upon approaching the critical point. 4. Empowering Dual-Encoder with Query Generator for Cross-Lingual Dense Retrieval

In monolingual dense retrieval, lots of works focus on how to distill knowledge from cross-encoder re-ranker to dual-encoder retriever and these methods achieve better performance due to the effectiveness of cross-encoder re-ranker. However, we find that the performance of the cross-encoder re-ranker is heavily influenced by the number of training samples and the quality of negative samples, which is hard to obtain in the cross-lingual setting. In this paper, we propose to use a query generator as the teacher in the cross-lingual setting, which is less dependent on enough training samples and high-quality negative samples. In addition to traditional knowledge distillation, we further propose a novel enhancement method, which uses the query generator to help the dual-encoder align queries from different languages, but does not need any additional parallel sentences. 5. Large Language Models are Diverse Role-Players for Summarization Evaluation

Text summarization has a wide range of applications in many scenarios. The evaluation of the quality of the generated text is a complex problem. A big challenge to language evaluation is that there is a clear divergence between existing metrics and human evaluation. For example, the quality of a document summary can be measured by human annotators from both objective aspects, such as grammatical and semantic correctness, as well as subjective dimensions, such as comprehensiveness, succinctness, and interestingness. Most of the automatic evaluation methods like BLUE/ROUGE may be not able to capture the above dimensions well. In this paper, we propose a new evaluation framework based on LLMs, which provides a comprehensive evaluation framework by comparing generated text and reference text from both objective and subjective aspects. First, we propose to model objective and subjective dimensions of generated text based on roleplayers prompting mechanism. Furthermore, we introduce a context-based prompting mechanism that is able to generate dynamic roleplayer profiles based on input context. Finally, we design a multi-roleplayer prompting technology based on batch prompting to integrate multiple evaluation results into evaluation results. Experimental results on two real datasets for summarization show that our model is highly competitive and has a very high consistency with human annotators.

6. Does perceived organization support moderates the relationships between work frustration and burnout among intensive care unit nurses? A cross-sectional survey

Background Intensive care unit (ICU) nurses are at high risk of burnout and warranting attention. Existing literature found that work frustration was related to burnout, whilst perceived organization support influenced the association of work frustration with burnout. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of work frustration and burnout among ICU nurses, and to examine the moderating effect of perceived organization support in their relationship. Methods The cross-sectional study was conducted with a convenience sample of 479 ICU nurses from several 3 tertiary hospitals during December 2021 to May 2022. The Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human services survey (MBI-HSS), National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) and perceived organization support Scale (POSS) were used to collect data. The PROCESS macro was performed to test the moderation effect of perceived organization support. Results The total score of burnouts was (55.79 ± 17.20), the total score of work frustration was (7.44 ± 1.86). Burnout was positively correlated with work frustration (r = 0.301, P r = -0.430, P P = 0.007). Conclusions The findings highlight the moderating role of perceived organizational support in the relationship between work frustration and burnout. Hence, interventions to reduce burnout among ICU nurses should consider targeting organizational support and work frustration.

7. Prognosis of ischemic stroke predicted by machine learning based on multi-modal MRI radiomics

ObjectiveIncreased risk of stroke is highly associated with psychiatric disorders. We aimed to conduct the machine learning model based on multi-modal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) radiomics predicting the prognosis of ischemic stroke.MethodsThis study retrospectively analyzed 148 patients with acute ischemic stroke due to anterior circulation artery occlusion. Based on the modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score, patients were divided into good (mRS ≤ 2) and poor (mRS > 2) outcome groups. Segmentation of the infarct region was performed by manually outlining a mask of the lesion on diffusion-weighted images (DWI) using MRIcron software. The apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC), fluid decay inversion recoverage (FLAIR), susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) and T1-weighted (T1w) images were aligned to the DWI images and the radiomic features within the lesion area were extracted for each image modality. The calculations were done using pyradiomics software and a total of 4,744 stroke-related imaging features were automatically calculated. Next, feature selection based on recursive feature elimination was used for each modality and three radiomic features were extracted from each modality plus one feature from the lesion mask, for a total of 16 radiomic features. At last, five machine learning (ML) models were trained and tested to predict stroke prognosis, calculate the received operating characteristic (ROC) curves and other parameters, evaluate the performance of the models and validate their predictive efficacy by five-fold cross-validation.ResultsSixteen radiomic features were selected to construct the ML models for prognostic classification. By five-fold cross-validation, light gradient boosting machine (LightGBM) model-based muti-modal MRI radiomic features performed best in binary prognostic classification with accuracy of 0.831, sensitivity of 0.739, specificity of 0.902, F1-score of 0.788 and an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.902.ConclusionThe ML models based on muti-modal MRI radiomics are of high value for predicting clinical outcomes in acute stroke patients.

We propose a new general model called IPNN - Indeterminate Probability Neural Network, which combines neural network and probability theory together. In the classical probability theory, the calculation of probability is based on the occurrence of events, which is hardly used in current neural networks. In this paper, we propose a new general probability theory, which is an extension of classical probability theory, and makes classical probability theory a special case to our theory. Besides, for our proposed neural network framework, the output of neural network is defined as probability events, and based on the statistical analysis of these events, the inference model for classification task is deduced. IPNN shows new property: It can perform unsupervised clustering while doing classification. Besides, IPNN is capable of making very large classification with very small neural network, e.g. model with 100 output nodes can classify 10 billion categories. 9. HGCC: Enhancing Hyperbolic Graph Convolution Networks on Heterogeneous Collaborative Graph for Recommendation

Due to the naturally power-law distributed nature of user-item interaction data in recommendation tasks, hyperbolic space modeling has recently been introduced into collaborative filtering methods. Among them, hyperbolic GCN combines the advantages of GCN and hyperbolic space and achieves a surprising performance. However, these methods only partially exploit the nature of hyperbolic space in their designs due to completely random embedding initialization and an inaccurate tangent space aggregation. In addition, the data used in these works mainly focus on user-item interaction data only, which further limits the performance of the models. In this paper, we propose a hyperbolic GCN collaborative filtering model, HGCC, which improves the existing hyperbolic GCN structure for collaborative filtering and incorporates side information. It keeps the long-tailed nature of the collaborative graph by adding power law prior to node embedding initialization; then, it aggregates neighbors directly in multiple hyperbolic spaces through the gyromidpoint method to obtain more accurate computation results; finally, the gate fusion with prior is used to fuse multiple embeddings of one node from different hyperbolic space automatically. Experimental results on four real datasets show that our model is highly competitive and outperforms leading baselines, including hyperbolic GCNs. This paper aims at the scattered management system, low service level, multi-level and multi-line ship locks caused by the numerous ship locks in Guangxi and they belong to different owners. For outstanding problems such as lack of scheduling theory and methods, and weak security and intelligent management and control capabilities, the top-level design of the joint scheduling of multi-stage and multi-line ship lock groups in the basin is carried out, and the joint scheduling technology of parallel four-line ship lock groups with different scales and levels under complex navigation restrictions is carried out. Research and development of key technologies for intelligent scheduling platform for line ship lock groups, key technology research on management and control safety in multi-level and multi-line ship lock clusters, and research on joint dispatch model and dispatch theory and methods for busy multi-level ship lock groups, so as to realize joint dispatch and centralized management and control of watershed ship lock groups. The overall navigation efficiency of the basin will be greatly improved, and it will provide a reference for the innovation of the navigation management mode of the ship lock group in the basin.

12. Lexicon-Enhanced Self-Supervised Training for Multilingual Dense Retrieval

Recent multilingual pre-trained models have shown better performance in various multilingual tasks. However, these models perform poorly on multilingual retrieval tasks due to lacking multilingual training data. In this paper, we propose to mine and generate self-supervised training data based on a large-scale unlabeled corpus. We carefully design a mining method which combines the sparse and dense models to mine the relevance of unlabeled queries and passages. And we introduce a query generator to generate more queries in target languages for unlabeled passages. Through extensive experiments on Mr. TYDI dataset and an industrial dataset from a commercial search engine, we demonstrate that our method performs better than baselines based on various pre-trained multilingual models. The databases used were the China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang, Chinese Biomedical Literature and Weipu, while CiteSpace software was used to conduct a bibliometric analysis of literature quantity, annual distribution, literature journals and regional distribution, literature authors, subject funding status and literature type and keywords. The characteristics and trends affecting CRNs in China were then evaluated using a descriptive analysis.Results: A total of 3735 pieces of literature were retrieved, and after deduplication and screening, 199 pieces of literature were retained for this study. Overall, the number of publications increased year-on-year. Of these publications, 17 papers (8.5% of the retained papers) were published in the Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing and 9138 papers (69.3%) were published in the top 10 regions according to the location of the first author (of these, 31 [15.6%] were published in Beijing and 42 [21.1%] were funded by scientific research funds). The research fell mainly in the experience summary category, with 107 articles (53.8%) taking this approach. The top five research hotspots were clinical research, good clinical practice (GCP), research nurses, management and clinical trials. The practice and exploration of CRNs were regionalised, accounting for varying degrees of development. CRNs were found to be at the forefront of developments in oncology specialties.Conclusion: In China, CRNs are currently in a period of rapid development. Research into CRNs mainly involves single-centre studies and lacks financial support. In the future, it will be necessary to increase capital investment, strengthen cross-regional cooperation between authors and institutions to narrow the regional development gap, and promote strict and standardised CRN training models and qualification certification to improve the quality of clinical research nursing.Keywords: clinical research nurses, CRNs, clinical trials, bibliometric analysis, CiteSpace, development trends

17. Metabolic profiling analysis for clinical urine of colorectal cancer

Aim To demonstrate the little-known metabolic changes and pathways in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC). Methods We used gas chromatography time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GC-TOF/MS) to perform metabolic profiling of urine samples from 163 consecutive patients with CRC and 111 healthy controls without history of gastrointestinal tumors. The metabolic profiles were assayed using multivariate statistical analysis and one-way analysis of variance, and further analyzed to identify potential marker metabolites related to CRC. The GC-TOF/MS-derived models showed clear discriminations in metabolic profiles between the CRC group and healthy control group. Results We demonstrated that 15 metabolites contributed to the differences. Among them, eleven metabolites were significantly upregulated, while other four metabolites were downregulated in the urine samples of CRC patients compared with healthy controls. Pathway analysis revealed changes in energy metabolism of patients with CRC, which are reflected in the upregulation of glycolysis and amino acid metabolism and the downregulation of lipid metabolism. Our study revealed the metabolic profile of urine from CRC patients and indicated that GC-TOF/MS-based methods can distinguish CRC from healthy controls. Conclusion GC-TOF/MS-based metabolomics has the potential to be developed into a novel, non-invasive, and painless clinical tool for CRC diagnosis, and may contribute to an improved understanding of disease mechanisms.

With the development of technologies such as Internet of things, cloud computing and artificial intelligence, big data becomes a research hotspot and is applied in many fields. The booming aviation field has natural big data soil, which has been paid more and more attention. In recent years, scholars have begun to study aviation oriented big data technology. Meanwhile airlines have also begun to use aviation big data to provide services for them, and promote it to the height of development strategy. Research and practice have shown that aviation big data can not only help to reduce the company??s operating costs, but also improve the quality of customer experience. In this paper, the definition of aviation big data is firstly given from the perspective of data and system, and the corresponding organization structures are described systematically. Secondly, the key technologies of aviation big data are elaborated in detail from five aspects: collection, storage management, preprocessing, analysis and virtual simulation and visualization, and some main models and algorithms are compared and analyzed. This paper describes the typical application scenarios of aviation big data from many aspects. Finally, the problems existing in aviation big data and the future research directions are analyzed in an in-depth way, so as to provide useful references for related research and applications.

19. Dengue virus-2 infection hinders autophagosome–lysosome fusion and autophagy–lysosomal degradation pathway in human umbilical vein endothelial cells

Autophagy plays a significant role in antiviral responses. Studies have shown that dengue virus-2 (DENV-2) activates autophagy, causing the endothelial cell injury. However, it remains unclear whether this injury is linked to the whole process of autophagy. This paper aimed to investigate the effects of DENV-2 on autophagic vesicle formation, autophagosome–lysosome fusion, and lysosomal degradation pathway in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). It is found that DENV-2 infection caused the formation of autophagic vesicles and increased the LC3 expression. The expression level of p62, STX17, SNAP29, and VAMP8 increased significantly in the late DENV-2 infection. Additionally, a high number of brighter lysosomal red fluorescent spots in the cytoplasm were observed after DENV-2 infection. In conclusion, DENV-2 infection activated autophagy and induced the formation of autophagic vesicles, but hindered the autophagosome–lysosome fusion and damaged the normal lysosomal acidification, thus blocking the autophagic flux.

CBX8 is the core component of the PCG family protein PRC1 complex. It is overexpressed in many solid tumors and plays an important role in the prognosis and biological behaviors of tumors such as occurrence, development, invasion, and metastasis. However, exploration of the role and molecular mechanism of CBX8 in tumors is still in its infancy. Our study found that the down-regulation of CBX8 expression by RNA interference induced differential expression of several microRNAs in human colon cancer cells. The 5 most differentially expressed miRNA precursors (pre-miRNA) (hsa-miR-363-3p, hsa-miR-378a-3p, hsa-miR-371b-3p, hsa-miR-361-3p, and hsa-miR-576-3p) share a common motif sequence: ARAAAKUGCMC. We selected miR-378a-3p and further revealed that the negative regulation of miRNA expression by CBX8 mainly occurs in the processing of pre-miRNA to mature miRNA. CBX8 uses its own RNA-binding domain to interact with pre-miRNA, and is dependent on its own nuclear localization characteristics to limit nucleoplasmic transport of pre-miRNA. Changing the characteristic sequence of pre-miRNA or mutating the RNA-binding domain and nuclear localization signal of CBX8 can effectively weaken the regulation of miR-378a-3p expression by CBX8. However, our experimental results showed that miR-378a-3p inhibited the malignant expression of human colon cancer cells by targeting PDIA4, resulting in increased activity of caspases-3 and -7. In summary, our study suggests that CBX8 acts as an independent RNA-binding protein to regulate miRNA expression. Simultaneously, this study shows the correlation between the CBX8/miR-378a-3p/PDIA4 pathway and the malignant biological properties of colorectal cancer, suggesting this proposed pathway as a possible therapeutic target for human cancers.

21. Prognosis Comparisons of Laparoscopy versus Open Surgery for Rectal Cancer Patients after Preoperative Chemoradiotherapy: A Meta-Analysis

Aim: We aimed to compare the oncological outcomes of laparoscopy and open resection for patients with rectal cancer following neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (NCRT). Methods: We searched the publications that compared the efficacy of laparoscopic surgery and open thoracotomy in treatment outcomes of rectal cancer after NCRT. All trials analyzed the summary hazard ratios of the endpoints of interest, including survival and individual postoperative complications. Results: Totally, 10 trials met our inclusion criteria. The pooled analysis of 3-year disease-free survival (OR 1.39, 95% CI 0.93–2.06; p = 0.11) and 3-year overall survival (OR 1.01, 95% CI 0.70–1.45; p = 0.97) showed that laparoscopic surgery did not achieve beneficial effects compared with open thoracotomy. The pooled result of duration of surgery indicated that laparoscopic surgery was associated with a trend for longer surgery time (SMD 27.53, 95% CI 1.34–53.72; p = 0.04), shorter hospital stay (SMD –1.64, 95% CI –2.70 to –0.58; p = 0.002), more postoperative complications (OR 0.77, 95% CI 0.60–0.99; p = 0.04), and decreased blood loss (SMD –49.87, 95% CI –80.61 to –19.14; p = 0.001). However, the number of removed lymph nodes, positive circumferential resection margin, as well as complications after surgery showed significant differences between the 2 groups. Conclusions: We focused on current evidence and reviewed the studies indicating that similar oncological outcomes were associated with laparoscopic surgery following NCRT for patients with locally advanced lower rectal cancer in comparison with open surgery.

MicroRNA (miR)-224-5p has been reported to be associated with multiple types of cancer. However, its biological role and underlying mechanism in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has yet to be fully elucidated. The aim of the present study was to investigate whether miR-224-5p mRNA expression level was increased in hepatocellular carcinoma and whether it was associated with poor prognosis. Decreased mRNA expression level of miR-224-5p was shown to suppress liver cancer cell migration, invasion and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Mechanistically, E2F1 was found to regulate miR-224-5p expression by binding to its promoter region. Melanoregulin (MREG) was identified as the direct target of miR-224-5p by searching the TargetScan, miRDB and StarBase databases. Overexpression of MREG could attenuate liver cancer cell migration, invasion and EMT. Rescue experiments further confirmed that MREG was associated with the regulation of miR-224-5p in liver cancer. In addition, the E2F1/miR-224-5p axis was shown to promote liver cancer cell migration, invasion and EMT by regulating MREG expression. These results suggested that E2F1-induced upregulation of miR-224-5p may serve an important role in MREG-induced liver cancer cell migration, invasion and EMT, and highlights the regulatory function of miR-224-5p in liver cancer. Therefore, the E2F1/miR-224-5p/MREG axis may provide a theoretical basis for the clinical treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) in interfaces and surfaces based on perovskite SrTiO$_3$ (STO) has exhibited various interesting phenomena and is used to develop oxide electronics. Recently, KTaO$_3$ (KTO) shows great potential and is believed to host more exciting effects and phenomena toward novel devices. Here, through first-principles investigation and analysis, we find two types of coexisting 2DEG and 2D hole gas (2DHG) highly confined at the interfaces in undoped STO/KTO/BaTiO$_3$ heterostructures, when the KTO thickness $m$ reaches a crititcal value. The two interfaces are made by (SrO)$^0$/(TaO$_2$)$^+$ and (KO)$^-$/(TiO$_2$)$^0$ for the A-type, and by (TiO$_2$)$^0$/(KO)$^-$ and (TaO$_2$)$^+$/(BO)$^0$ for the B-type. The 2D electron carriers originate from Ta-$5 d_{xy}$ states at the interface including TaO$_2$ atomic layer, and the hole carriers from O-$2 p_x/p_y$ orbitals at the other interface. The electron and hole effective masses are 0.3$m_0$ and $1.06\sim 1.12 m_0$, respectively, where $m_0$ is mass of free electron, and the 2D carrier concentrations are in the order of $10 ^{13}$ cm$^{-2}$. Our analysis indicates that the interfacial 2DEG and 2DHG are simultaneously formed because of the band bending due to the polar discontinuity at the interfaces and the stress-induced polarization within the KTO layer. It is well-known that ferromagnetism can be realized along the zigzag graphene nanoribbon edges, but the armchair graphene nanoribbon edges (AGNEs) are nonmagnetic. Here, we achieve Heisenberg antiferromagnetic spin chains through edge reconstruction along the AGNEs. The reconstructed edge consists of pentagonal carbon rings or a hybrid of pentagonal and hexagonal carbon rings. The resultant nanoribbons are narrow-gap semiconductors and the band edge states are either spin-degenerate edge states or nonmagnetic bulk states. The spin is located on the outermost carbon of the pentagonal ring, and the inter-spin exchange is the nearest-neighbor antiferromagnetic interaction. For finite chain lengthes or nonzero magnetization, there are nonzero spin Drude weights and thus ballistic quantum spin transport can be achieved along the reconstructed edges, These could be used for quantum spin information transfer and spintronic applications., Comment: 6 pages, 5 figures

Determining how mountain communities in conservation priority areas can benefit from rich local biodiversity through sustainable development has been a challenge to governments throughout the world. The village of Hanlong in western Yunnan China has been developing bird photography tourism to capitalize on the extremely rich avifaunal diversity of the area. In this study, we analyzed the impact of the emerging tourism on local communities' livelihoods and identified the key areas of improvements for wider dissemination of the experiences. Bird photography tourism in Hanlong has contributed significantly to the sustainable livelihoods of local communities by providing a major new source of income, creating local employment opportunities, and reducing local people's dependence on the extractive use of forest resources. In the process, local communities have acquired new knowledge, skills, and social networks. They have also developed new institutions and governance mechanisms, which enable them to better adapt to the changing socioeconomic environment. Bird photography tourism offers new opportunities and hope for sustaining local livelihoods and biodiversity in conservation priority areas. Experiences in Hanlong offer an excellent heuristic example for sustainable community development, adaptation, and transformational change in conservation priority areas. They also contribute to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals and Aichi targets and thus have value for wider upscaling. Geographical location, local leadership, and external support are all important for the success of bird photography in Hanlong. We recommend that a landscape (including transboundary landscape) approach be adopted to integrate farming practices, other economic activities, and photography tourism. Farming practices and land uses that sustain bird diversity should be encouraged.

The Scientific Outcome was produced by participants in the first-ever IPCC-IPBES co-sponsored workshop which took place in December 2020. This workshop is placed in the context of recent international agreements including the Paris Agreement, the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020 and ongoing preparation for the post-2020 global biodiversity framework, the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development that converge on solving the dual crises of climate change and biodiversity loss as essential to support human well-being. The Scientific Outcome further develops and substantiates the conclusions of the Synopsis, summarizes the emerging state of knowledge involving climate change and biodiversity with the objective to inform decision making and highlight options for action, and to identify knowledge gaps to be filled by scientific research. On the basis of the catastrophe model developed by Isenberg et al., we have used the NIRVANA code to perform the magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) numerical experiments to look into the various behaviors of the coronal magnetic configuration that includes a current-carrying flux rope for modelling the prominence levitation in the corona. These behaviors include the evolution of the equilibrium height of magnetic flux rope with the background magnetic field, the corresponding interior equilibrium of magnetic flux rope, the dynamic properties of magnetic flux rope after the system loses equilibrium, as well as the impact of the reference radius on the equilibrium height of magnetic flux rope. In our calculations, an empirical model of the coronal density distribution given by Sittler & Guhathakurta is used, and the physical dissipation is included. Our experiments show that a deviation between the simulated equilibrium height of magnetic flux rope and the theoretical result of Isenberg et al. exists, but it is not apparent, and the evolutionary features of the two results are similar. If the magnetic flux rope is initially located at the stable branch of the theoretical equilibrium curve, the magnetic flux rope will quickly reach the equilibrium position after several rounds of oscillations as a result of the self-adjustment of the system; when the system is located at the critical point it will quickly lose equilibrium and evolve to the eruptive state; the impact of the variation of reference radius on the equilibrium height of magnetic flux rope is consistent with the prediction of the theory; in the eruptive state, the kinetic properties of magnetic flux rope are consistent with the results given by the Lin-Forbes model and observation, and the fast-mode shock in front of the magnetic flux rope is observed in our experiments; furthermore, because that the dissipation is included in our numerical experiments, the energy conversion from the magnetic energy to other forms of energy is very apparent in the eruptive process.

36. A heterogeneous cellular response to ionizing radiation revealed by single cell transcriptome sequencing

Our understanding on transcriptional regulation of tumour cells responding to ionizing radiation (IR) has mostly come from bulk sequencing. However, due to the heterogeneity of tumour, how each individual cell responds to IR differently is unclear. We report here a heterogeneous cellular response to IR by single cell transcriptome sequencing. We utilized the barcoded Smart-seq2 single cell transcriptome sequencing technology in breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-231 both without and with IR treatment. To further understand how ATM, a major hub protein required for an optimal DNA damage response, affected the heterogeneous IR response, we also knocked down ATM gene for single cell transcriptome sequencing. Single cell t-SNE analysis showed four clusters of cells responding to IR in distinctive ways: Cluster 1 changed the least; Cluster 2 responded to IR by upregulating ribosome associated genes, while Cluster 4 upregulated both ribosome and G1/S phase associated genes; Cluster 3 was a new cluster, which appeared only in irradiated cells. In the absence of ATM kinase, cells displayed much less transcriptional changes after IR. And Cluster 4 in wild-type cells, which had the greatest change in response to IR, was not present in the ATM knock-down cells. We also selected three IR-induced genes for functional validation in both MDA-MB-231 and an additional breast cancer cell line to demonstrate their importance in radiation sensitivity. Taken together, our single cell transcriptome analysis has revealed a heterogeneous cellular response to DNA damage induced by IR and identified potential biomarkers of radiation sensitivity.

A practical question-answering (QA) system typically categorizes a new question into the frequently asked questions (FAQs) and returns the corresponding answer. Having imbalanced FAQs data is actually prevalent in general. This paper proposes a meta-learning method for imbalanced question classification. The basic idea is to generate virtual training data for zero-shot questions and then construct question prototypes for training a question classifier, thereby relieving the problem of data imbalance and improving performance of question classifier. Experiments show that the proposed method improves the overall classification performance both for English and Chinese QA tasks. Especially, the classification performance of zero annotated questions increased significantly, and the generative prototypes has minute impact on the performance of large annotated question test set.

Introduction: To investigate the gene rearrangement and mutation of lymphoma biomarkers including (Immunoglobulin H (IgH), Immunoglobulin kappa (IGK), Immunoglobulin lambda (IGL), and TCR) in the lymphoma diagnosis. Methods and analysis: Paraffin tissue samples from 240 cases diagnosed as suspected lymphoma in the department of pathology, Deyang City People's Hospital from June 2020 to June 2021 will be enrolled. Deoxyribonucleic acid extraction and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) amplification will be performed in these paraffin tissue samples. Immunoglobulin and T cell receptor (TCR) rearrangement will be analyzed by hetero-double chain gel electrophoresis and BioMed-2 standardized immunoglobulin gene rearrangement detection system. In this study protocol IGH gene rearrangement, IGK gene rearrangement, both IGH and IGL gene rearrangement, both IGH and IGK gene rearrangement, both IGK and IGL gene rearrangement, both IGH, IGK and IGL gene rearrangement, TCR gene rearrangement and positive Ig/TCR rearrangement will be analyzed. Discussion: In this study, we will use B and T cell lymphoma analysis focusing on IgH, IGK, IGL, and TCR gene rearrangement, so as to provide early guidance for the diagnosis of lymphoma. Second generation sequencing technology is helpful in the differential diagnosis of lymphoma. Trial registration: Chinese Clinical trial registry: ChiCTR2000032366.

In this systematic review and meta-analysis, 25 clinical trials were systematically reviewed, and meta-analysis was performed with the results of 16 trials. It was found that the risk of surgical site infection was significantly lower in patients who received perioperative immunonutrition than those given standard nutrition. Furthermore, hospital stay was significantly shorter in patients receiving immunonutrition or early enteral nutrition after surgical resection of gastric cancer. Perioperative immunonutrition also significantly reduced white blood cell counts and the level of C-reactive protein in the patients. However, neither CD4+ T cells nor inflammatory cytokines were significantly affected even though immunonutrition was in favor. These findings suggested that patients with gastrointestinal cancer may benefit from perioperative immunonutrition support by reducing surgery-associated complications and shortening hospital stay. The effects and the underlying mechanism of immunonutrition on immunological modulation and inflammatory regulation, however, remain to be further defined.

Background: Depressive symptoms erode both physical and mental aspects of health-related quality of life (HRQoL). Social support (SS) may improve HRQoL through its direct effects or buffering effects. The association among depressive symptoms, SS, and HRQoL has been studied in specific groups, but research in the general adult population remains limited. This study examined the association among depressive symptoms, SS, and HRQoL, including exploring whether SS (including its three dimensions: subjective SS, objective SS and support utilization) mediated or moderated the relationship between depressive symptoms and HRQoL among community-based adults. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional survey in six communities in Shanghai, China, and 1642 adult participants with complete information on depressive symptoms and/or SS, and HRQoL were included. Linear regression analysis was used to investigate the association among depressive symptoms, SS, and HRQoL. In addition, we explored the mediating and moderating role of SS in the relationship between depressive symptoms and HRQoL. Strong Rashba effects at surfaces and interfaces have attracted great attention for basic scientific exploration and practical applications. Here, the first-principles investigation shows that giant and tunable Rashba effects can be achieved in KTaO$_3$ (KTO) ultrathin films by applying biaxial stress. When increasing the in-plane compressive strain nearly to -5\%, the Rashba spin splitting energy reaches $E_{R}=140$ meV, approximately corresponding to the Rashba coupling constant $\alpha_{R}=1.3$ eV {\AA}. We investigate its strain-dependent crystal structures, energy bands, and related properties, and thereby elucidate the mechanism for the giant Rashba effects. Furthermore, we show that giant Rashba spin splitting can be kept in the presence of SrTiO$_3$ capping layer and/or Si substrate, and strong circular photogalvanic effect can be achieved to generate spin-polarized currents in the KTO thin films or related heterostructures, which are promising for future spintronic and optoelectronic applications., Comment: 8 pages, 6 figures

We obtain exact dynamics of a two-qubit central spin model (CSM) consisting of two interacting qubits homogeneously coupled to a spin bath via the $XXZ$-type coupling, with the bath initially prepared in linear superpositions of the symmetric Dicke states. Using the interaction picture Hamiltonian with respect to the non-spin-flipping part of the model, we derive a sequence of equations of motion within each magnetization sector satisfied by the probability amplitudes of the time-evolved state. These equations of motion admit analytical solutions for the single-qubit CSM in which one of the two central qubits decouples from the rest of the system. Based on this, we provide a quantitative interpretation to the observed collapse-revival phenomena in the single-qubit Rabi oscillations when the bath is prepared in the spin coherent state. We then study the disentanglement and coherence dynamics of two initially entangled noninteracting qubits when the two qubits interact with individual baths or with a common bath. For individual baths the coherent dynamics is found to positively correlated to the single-qubit purity dynamics, and entanglement sudden disappearance and revivals are observed in both cases. The entanglement creation of two initially separable qubits coupled to a common bath is also studied and collapse and revival behaviors in the entanglement dynamics are observed. Choosing the equally weighted state and the $W$-class states as the bath initial states, we finally study the dynamics of entanglement between two individual bath spins and demonstrate the entanglement sharing mechanism in such a system., Comment: 17 pages, 12 figures, to appear in Physical Review A

Quasi-separatrix layer, also called as QSL, is a region where magnetic connectivity changes drastically, and mostly well coincides with the location of flare ribbons in observations. The research on the relations of this topological structure with the 3-dimensional magnetic reconnection, and solar flares has attracted more and more attention. In this paper, using the theory of QSL we investigate a C5.7 classical two-ribbon solar flare (event 1) which occurred at AR11384 on 2011 December 26, and an M6.5 solar flare (event 2) which occurred at AR12371 on 2015 June 22, respectively. Combining the multi-wavelength data of AIA (Atmospheric Imaging Assembly) and vector magnetogrames of HMI (Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager) onboard SDO (Solar Dynamics Observatory), we extrapolate the coronal magnetic field using the PF (Potential Field) and NLFFF (Nonlinear Force Free Field) models, and calculate the evolution of the AR (Active Region) magnetic free energy. Then, we calculate the logarithmic distribution of Q-factors (magnetic squashing factor) at different heights above the solar photosphere with the results of the PF and NLFFF extrapolations, in order to determine the location of QSL. Afterward, we investigate the evolutionary relation between the QSLs at different heights above the solar photosphere and the flare ribbons observed at the corresponding heights. Finally, we study the multi-wavelength evolution features of the 2 flare events, and obtain by calculation the mean slip velocities of magnetic lines in the event 2 at 304 A and 335 A to be 4.6 km s-1 and 6.3 km s-1, respectively. We find that the calculated location of QSL in the chromosphere and corona is in good agreement with the location of flare ribbons at the same height, and the QSLs at different heights have almost the same evolutionary behavior in time as the flare ribbons of the corresponding heights, which highlights the role of QSL in the research of 3D magnetic reconnection and solar flare, and we suggest that the energy release in the flare of event 2 may be triggered by the magnetic reconnection at the place of QSL. We also suggest that the QSL is very important for us to study the essential relation between the 3D and 2D magnetic reconnections.
