38th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition; 76-79, In the experiment the thermal copper oxide with sodium doping was elaborated. A simple bar coating technique was used for sodium deposition, while CuxO:Na layers were produced in IR belt furnace in only one temperature treatment. The morphology and composition of the manufactured coatings were analyzed. The presence of sodium atoms in the layer was confirmed by the EDS and SIMS techniques. The work function () of the layers was calculated from potential difference (CPD) measured by using Kelvin probe. The values dependence on the process temperature was found. Based on the obtained layers photovoltaic structure was prepared and its dark I-V was measured.
