This paper aims to use web engineering to establish a suitable e-learning development strategy for the Al-Balqaʼ Applied University. A learning management system is crucial for teaching and learning, and with technological improvements, e-learning is becoming the norm in every country. As a result, developing and upgrading e-learning technologies to aid the educational process and improve students' learning experience is critical. The Al-Balqaʼ Applied University adopted Moodle as its primary e-learning system. As a result, the proposed e-learning system's web application development will be based on Moodle. Web applications will take a two-stage approach: the first stage will be analyzing the current application to gain a complete understanding of the requirements for developing the e-learning system at the Al-Balqaʼ Applied University, and the second stage will be converting or translating these requirements into the proposed model based on the WebML method, which has seven steps.

Kelurahan Banjar Negeri merupakan kelurahan yang terletak di Kecamatan Natar Kabupeten Lampung Selatan dengan memiliki jumlah penduduk sebanyak 3925 jiwa dari 8 dusun. Proses permohonan surat yang dilakukan masyarakat harus datang ke kantor dengan memberikan berkas sayarat permohonan dan maskud permohonan, kemudian akan di setujui oleh petugas dan dibuatkan surat serta divalidasi oleh kepala desa. Informasi data penduduk dan permohonan dilakukan menggunakan aplikasi spreadsheet sebagai rekapitulasi data penduduk dan aplikasi word processing untuk mencetak laporan, media tersebut dalam jangka waktu semakin kedepan dirasa kurang fleksibel seperti pencarian data penduduk ketika terdapat perubahan data identitas dan informasi kependudukan yang tidak dapat diakses secara online. Hasil dari pengujian terhadap usability telah diperoleh nilai 92% sehingga dapat disimpulkan sistem sangat disetujui oleh pengguna. Pengujian fungsional suitability menghasilkan nilai sebersar 95,33% dengan kesimpulan diterima secara kelayakan fungsi oleh pengguna, terakhir adalah performance effeciency dihasilkan nilai kemampuan yaitu B dengan waktu respon 0.34 detik.

The quality of knowledge is the most important task of the learning system at any level and stage of education. The COVID-19 pandemic has made its own adjustments to the process of organizing education, requiring the transition from traditional to distance learning as soon as possible. In the new conditions, the use of adaptive knowledge control has become relevant, taking into account the individual level of knowledge of the trainees. The study is devoted to the analysis of the features of adaptive testing, the conditions of application and the possibilities of web technologies for its organization. The article presents the results of a study aimed at organizing and conducting adaptive knowledge control as one of the means of implementing an individual learning trajectory. The study presents algorithms for constructing an individual trajectory of adaptive testing for each user. The analysis of web technologies and learning management systems that are currently used in terms of their capabilities for the implementation of the adaptive learning module is carried out. An adaptive testing module has been developed for implementation into the LMS Moodle learning management system, built taking into account the modular organization of the system. The construction of the module is based on a Markov random process with discrete states, continuous and discrete time, which makes it possible to implement a condition for completing testing with the function of viewing detailed statistics of its passage. The problem of developing and implementing an adaptive testing module in an online learning system is considered. The results of experimental work confirming the effectiveness of the implementation of the adaptive testing module are presented. The study of technology by future teachers and its application in practice will contribute to an increasingly widespread implementation in practical activities.

This study aims to design and implement a web-based drug distribution management that can help pharmacy warehouse employees manage drug data and also facilitate the preparation of drug distribution reports. Based on the results of observations and interviews at the pharmacy warehouse, data management is still done manually and has weaknesses, including the problem of ease, speed and accuracy. Management is still done using the Microsoft Office word and excel applications. The system development method used in designing drug distribution management is the Web Engineering method (Customer Communication, Planning, Modeling, Construction, Deployment). Meanwhile, the supporting tools or applications used to design and implement the management of drug distribution are Axure and UML (Unified Modeling Language). The programming language uses HTML, PHP, MySQL database and Farmework codeigniter and system testing uses the Blackbox Testing method with valid or not valid test results. The results of this study are a drug distribution management system at the pharmacy warehouse of the Pagar Alam City Health Service so that it can be used by pharmacy warehouse officers and 7 Puskesmas.

P2TP2A-LIP adalah lembaga layanan perempuan dan anak yang dirancang untuk memenuhi informasi dan kebutuhan di bidang pendidikan, kesehatan, ekonomi, politik, hukum, perlindungan dan pencegahan kekerasan terhadap perempuan dan anak serta perdagangan manusia. Sebagai salah satu sarana pelayanan publik, P2TP2A belum menerapkan teknologi informasi untuk memberikan pelayanan, yaitu pengelolaan pengaduan masyarakat, pengelolaan informasi, pelayanan konsultasi, dan penguluhan kepada masyarakat. Sistem pada P2TP2A sebelumnya masih bersifat konvensional dalam proses pengelolaan pengaduan masyarakat, maka perlu diketahui seberapa besar penerimaan sistem baru berbasis teknologi informasi pada masyarakat dan pegawai di P2TP2A dalam menggunakan aplikasi web engineering agar dapat berfungsi secara maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerimaan aplikasi web engineering pelayanan pengaduan masyarakat menggunakan pendekatan TAM. Pada pendekatan technology acceptance model (TAM) terdapat beberapa faktor yang dinilai yaitu persepsi kegunaan dan persepsi kemudahan penggunaan yang didapat dari hasil kuesioner yang diberikan ke responden. Hasil dari penelitian ini akan menunjukkan faktor yang mempengaruhi penerimaan serta bagaimana penerimaan masyarakat terhadap aplikasi web engineering pelayanan pengaduan masyarakat pada P2TP2A.

Persatuan Bulu Tangkis Seluruh Indonesia (PBSI) is an organization that manages the game of badminton in Indonesia. The Palembang branch of PBSI has so far held a competition that has not used special software, from registration to the results of the competition. The problem that often occurs is the frequent occurrence of misinformation about the race. For this reason, an application will be made that can help accommodate the race administration, starting from the registration of the race to the results of the race. The programming language used is using PHP and the database is used using MySql. The results of this study are expected to make it easier for athletes to see information about race events, match schedules, race registration, making it easier for badminton clubs to register their athletes in competitions held by PBSI

PurposeThe perception of the learning-by-teaching method has been investigated in an Information Systems Engineering course to explore the critical factors for its perception and acceptance by students.Design/methodology/approachThe students' perception of the learning-by-teaching method in a course on Web Engineering is analyzed by qualitative interviews in this research paper.FindingsThe results indicate that it is considered beneficial as long as the students are motivated to participate in the setting, understand why they have to work out their own solution and feel enabled to meet the requirements.Practical implicationThis study provides valuable information what is critical for the success of this didactic method, including practical implications.Originality/valueThis study provides an in-depth case study and shows that a clear structure and additional sources through professionals and peers are vital for project-oriented group work in higher education.

Information on population data is often used in various ways such as aiding, or government activities related to population data. The information that is often needed is related to the actual existence of the population in order to conduct a census or other social interests. For this reason, in this study the development of a population mapping information system in Tugumulyo sub-district was made as an effort to provide information to the public regarding population data. In the process of developing information systems, web engineering development methods are used. Web engineering method is a method used to develop a web-based information system. The results of the development in the form of a population distribution information system with the main features of population data information are presented in the form of tables, graphics and maps. Inform plays a very important role in life and nowadays, the world largely depends on the World Wide Web to obtain any information. Web comprises of a lot of websites of every discipline, whereas websites consists of web pages which are interlinked with each other with the help of hyperlinks. The success of a website largely depends on the design aspects of the web pages. Researchers have done a lot of work to appraise the web pages quantitatively. Keeping in mind the importance of the design aspects of a web page, this paper aims at the design of an automated evaluation tool which evaluate the aspects for any web page. The tool takes the HTML code of the web page as input, and then it extracts and checks the HTML tags for the uniformity. The tool comprises of normalized modules which quantify the measures of design aspects. For realization, the tool has been applied on four web pages of distinct sites and design aspects have been reported for comparison. The tool will have various advantages for web developers who can predict the design quality of web pages and enhance it before and after implementation of website without user interaction.

[Abstract] Context: Web engineering involves managing a high diversity of artifacts implemented in different languages and with different levels of granularity. Technological companies usually implement variable artifacts of Software Product Lines (SPLs) using annotations, being reluctant to adopt hybrid, often complex, approaches combining composition and annotations despite their benefits. Objective: This paper proposes a combined approach to support fine and coarse-grained variability for web artifacts. The proposal allows web developers to continue using annotations to handle fine-grained variability for those artifacts whose variability is very difficult to implement with a composition-based approach, but obtaining the advantages of the composition-based approach for the coarse-grained variable artifacts. Methods: A combined approach based on feature modeling that integrates annotations into a generic composition-based approach. We propose the definition of compositional and annotative variation points with custom-defined semantics, which is resolved by a scaffolding-based derivation engine. The approach is evaluated on a real-world web-based SPL by applying a set of variability metrics, as well as discussing its quality criteria in comparison with annotations, compositional, and combined existing approaches. Results: Our approach effectively handles both fine and coarse-grained variability. The mapping between the feature model and the web artifacts promotes the traceability of the features and the uniformity of the variation points regardless of the granularity of the web artifacts. Conclusions: Using well-known techniques of SPLs from an architectural point of view, such as feature modeling, can improve the design and maintenance of variable web artifacts without the need of introducing complex approaches for implementing the underlying variability. Wilga 2021 Summer Symposium on Photonics Applications and Web Engineering was the 48th edition of the research and technical meetings series [1,2]. Traditionally, the whole week lasting annual series of technical conferences and topical sessions was scheduled to be held on 26 May – 02 June 2020 in Wilga resort near Warsaw, owned by the Warsaw University of Technology. Nearly 150 participants took part in all of the Wilga 2021 events, most of them being young researchers active in all aspects of photonics, electronics and ICT science and technology. Wilga Symposium also embraces hardware and software technologies associated with photonics like optics, optical engineering, optoelectronics, electronics and electrical engineering, mechatronics, chemical and material engineering, applied physics, industrial solutions and applications. Around 100 papers were presented during Wilga 2021, oral and poster. Out of this number, some papers chosen by authors are published in this volume of Proc. SPIE mostly related to photonics. The major change was that during Wilga 2020 and 2021 Symposia, during summer editions, no traditional large young researcher sessions at large were possible to be organized.

Web Page Classification is decisive for information retrieval and management task and plays an imperative role for natural language processing (NLP) problems in web engineering. Traditional machine learning algorithms excerpt covet features from web pages whereas deep leaning algorithms crave features as the network goes deeper. Pre-trained models such as BERT attains remarkable achievement for text classification and continue to show state-ofthe-art results. Knowledge Graphs can provide rich structured factual information for better language modelling and representation. In this study, we proposed an ensemble Knowledge Based Deep Inception (KBDI) approachfor web page classification by learning bidirectional contextual representation using pre-trained BERT incorporating Knowledge Graph embeddings and fine-tune the target task by applying Deep Inception network utilizing parallel multi-scale semantics. Proposed ensemble evaluates the efficacy of fusing domain specific knowledge embeddings with the pre-trained BERT model. Experimental interpretation exhibit that the proposed BERT fused KBDI model outperforms benchmark baselines and achieve better performance in contrast to other conventional approaches evaluated on web page classification datasets.

The purpose of this research is to design and build a population administration system in crossing urban villages by using PHP programming and MySQL Database. The methodology used is Web Engineering (web engineering). The results to be achieved are the availability of supporting applications in the urban village of Pagaralam that can be obtained without being bound by time and space. With this application in the weaving village it is expected to be able to help deliver information quickly and make it easy to get information about the weaving village.

This research was conducted at Hotel Telaga Biru Pagaralam, aims to create a new system that can overcome the problems that occur in the Hotel, especially in terms of booking rooms. The current room booking system is still done manually, which is still recorded in the book when guests check in until check out, then it is given a receipt as proof of payment in advance to the guest according to the length of the guest staying. In addition to coming directly customers can book a room by contacting the hotel by phone. For this, researchers are doing the action of making a system engineering information-based hotel reservation with the system development strategy using the Web engineering method, the tools used in the design are Unified Modelling Language (UML), in the development of this application authors use the PHP and MySql programming language as the Database of room booking systems. This system generates a system that allows customers and hotel to make bookings.

Companies currently encounter obstacles in networking, integration, and global manufacturing as mobile devices as well as computers increasingly facilitate commercial activities. Accordingly, we propose a new web-based enterprise resource planning (e-ERP) system that can be rapidly migrated from conventional on-site ERP systems. In this paper, by referring to Internet technologies and several key web topics, we explore the evolution of e-Commerce and ERP. We also discuss the applications of the proposed method based on an elastic model–view–controller e-ERP and software-as-a-service delivery. On the basis of information system architecture evaluation and realization results, we discuss the application of web technologies and web engineering models for the effective hosting of a reliable cloud ERP. In addition, on the basis of a review of the literature and related emerging technologies, we comparatively discuss several holistic frameworks of web application development from the technical and business perspectives. As indicated by the implementation results, the proposed approach can be used to effectively host a secure cloud ERP.

Multimedia platforms dealing with movie streaming and video-based short messages have increased the global Internet video traffic substantially in the last couple of years. Over the same period, multimedia on the Web has been standardized in terms of codecs and browserbased JavaScript APIs. However, today the technological challenges concerning the distribution of large video files are mainly tackled by scaling up capacities in cloud data centers, or relying on content delivery networks. Both approaches favor financially strong, large companies, while independent video providers with highly demanded videos are disadvantaged. Peer-to-peer streaming provides an alternative by shifting the data streams to the clients. In this article, we conceptualize different methods to move video delivery from centralized cloud infrastructures to end user devices.We discuss their strengths & weaknesses and present design considerations. To exemplify a particular approach, we showcase the implementation and evaluation of OakStreaming, our system that streams videos peer-to-peer via WebTorrent in HTML5. Particularly, we offer Web video providers a library that has various parameters, for instance to limit the bandwidth available for peer-topeer uploads. The resulting library is available as open source software on GitHub.

In recent years, agile methodologies have been consolidated and extended in organizations that develop software in Web environments. For this reason, the development methodology of these organizations will not only be related to Services, but also to the Web Engineering paradigm. These organizations are heading for incorporating software development methodologies whose paradigm can allow integration, naturally and in the earlier stages of Web applications develop with the services of the organization that described and published in the Services Portfolio. The aim of this study will be to analyze the current state of the art in the process of discovering services in early stages of agile software development with focus on those identified requirements that could be covered with the services included in the Service Portfolio. We have identified 20 relevant papers through conducting a double systematic literature review (SLR). It is concluded that no study has been found that can solve the entire process of discovering candidate services within an organization that cover the requirements of a new application developed with agile methodologies. At the same time, guidelines have been found to formalize the solution to this problem and fill in that gap of knowledge by proposing in a single process, the formalization of a requirement based on agile techniques, which can be managed against a Services Portfolio.

Data-intensive Web applications are usually developed by means of specific Web application frameworks, which provide, among other features, the proper tools to automate redundant tasks, e.g. the implementation of CRUD operations. However, although Model-Driven Web Engineering (MDWE) approaches have defined specific languages and tools to significantly reduce development efforts, the provision of such automation tools has been traditionally neglected. This paper presents AutoCRUD, a WebRatio plug-in automating the generation of CRUD operations in OMG Interacting Flow Modelling Language (IFML). It has been developed as a joint effort by academia and industry to assess its validity in a real scenario.

Most websites use interactive online forms as the main contact point between users and website owners (e.g. companies, governmental institutions, ect.). Therefore, a proper design of such forms is crucial to allow smooth information exchange. It can be decisive on the success or failure of an online transaction. Users mostly visit a website with an intention that is related to the content of that site (e.g. purchasing an article, gathering information). Hence, they do not visit a website with the intention or goal of filling in a web form. Let us illustrate this with an online shopping example: Once users have chosen the items that they wish to buy, they want to finish their shopping as quickly, easily and safely as possible. But to successfully complete the shopping process users have to provide some personal data such as shipping address or credit card information. In the users perception, an online form may be perceived as a hurdle. There is evidence that unusable web forms lead to customers aborting the transaction prematurely, resulting in loss of profit (Wroblewski, 2008). To prevent such dropouts from the buying process, a revision of the form is necessary. A successful redesign of a suboptimal online form may result in an increased completion rate in the range of 10%-40% (Wroblewski, 2008). For instance, the eBay User Experience and Design Group reported that a redesign of the eBay registration form made a significant contribution to eBay’s business and user success (Herman, 2004). The World Wide Web contains a wide range of different web form design solutions for similar interface aspects and problems. Exemplarily, Figure 1 shows four different ways of implementing and communicating format restrictions to users. It can be seen, that even website developers of major companies choose very different ways to solve the same problems. This raises several important questions: Are these solutions equivalent or are there ways that lead to superior web forms in terms of an enhanced usability? Would it not be advantageous to use similar solutions for similar problems, so that predictability for users can be increased? Are there different solutions that may be used depending on the developer’s intentions? With the rapid development of network technology and the rapid growth of e-commerce, complex wide-area distributed Web applications are emerging. Many traditional information management and database systems are being migrated to the Internet. The development of Web engineering is increasing gradually, and the proportion in software engineering technology and project development process will be larger and larger. Web engineering is an emerging and rapidly developing discipline. In order to ensure that Web engineering can develop as efficiently as traditional software engineering so as to avoid Web crisis, this paper will illustrate with the development and process examples of Web engineering technology. Combined with the software development and project management process and related results of a Web engineering project example, namely the driver training management information system (JPMIS), this paper proposes some applications based on the Web engineering software development and project management technology. This paper puts forward a concrete implementation method for the application of Web engineering in China’s small and medium-sized software enterprises.

The traditional definition of full stack development refers to a skill set that is required for writing software both for the frontend and backend of a web application or site. In recent years, the scope of full stack development has expanded significantly, though. Today, a full stack software developer is assumed to master various additional areas especially related to cloud infrastructure and deployment, message brokers and data analytics technologies. In addition, the emergence of Internet of Things (IoT) and the rapidly spreading use of AI/ML technologies are introducing additional skill set requirements. In this paper, we discuss the expectations for a modern full stack developer based on our industry observations, and argue that these expectations have significant implications for software and web engineering education.

Web Engineering becomes increasingly hungry for training data, as the application of machine learning (ML) methods in the field intensifies. Human-labeled datasets are particularly indispensable for ML-based validation and design of user interfaces (UIs). The production of such datasets is often outsourced to crowdworkers, who typically have lower motivation and payment compared to in-house staff, so the quality of their work becomes the paramount concern. In our paper, we explore the applicability of the trending fraud detection approach based on fit to power law in crowdsourced web UI labeling. On Amazon Mechanical Turk, 298 crowdworkers labeled over 30,000 UI elements in about 500 university homepage screenshots. We found a significant correlation between workers’ precisions and Kolmogorov-Smirnov statistics-based goodness-of-fit between the frequencies of UI elements in a worker’s output and power law. The obtained R2 = 0.504 was higher than the R2 = 0.432 baseline for the popular time-on-task parameter. Moreover, the distribution of UI elements’ frequencies is much less prone to manipulation by malicious crowdworkers, which is advantageous as a crowdsourced data quality control measure. The findings of our study suggest a certain resemblance between web UIs and natural language texts, in which word frequencies are known to comply with Zipf’s law.

The search for information and the process of listing the status of building leasing still uses a manual system, which is recorded in a rental book. This can make the building rental system unstructured and poorly controlled. An information system can make it easier for tenants in the rental process for the yellow building. The building rental information system application uses the web engineering method which aims to build an integrated information system that can engineer the web with several technical requirements and identify information. The resulting information system is a building rental website that can minimize errors made by officers in registering tenants, data building rental recapitulation, avoiding data manipulation and being a distinct advantage for managers who prioritize technological advances by using the system through website-based database applications. The features on this website include a list of packages offered, the ease of making building rental reservations and making the payment process easier. This building rental information system can provide convenience for consumers and officers in the process of renting a building and managing data on the rental of the Kemuning building.

This foreword introduces a summary of themes and papers of the Web2Touch (W2T) 2020–21 Track at the 29th IEEE WETICE Conference held as a virtual Conference, in October 2020. W2T 2020–21 includes six full papers and four short papers. They all address relevant issues in the field of information sharing for collaboration, including, big data analytics, knowledge engineering, linked open data, applications of smart Web technologies, and smart care. The papers address a portfolio of hot issues in research and applications of semantics, smart technologies (e.g., IoT, sensors, devices for tele-monitoring, and smart contents management) with crucial topics, such as big data analysis, knowledge representation, smart enterprise management, among the others. This track shows how cooperative technologies based on knowledge representation, intelligent tools, and enhanced Web engineering can enhance collaborative work through smart service design and delivery, so it contributes to radically change the role of the semantic Web and applications.

This study is a preliminary case study examining the use of a free Web Development learning platform in order to en-deepen and facilitate further knowledge in App Development beginners. The use of CodeTrip.gr was examined with regard to perceived learning outcomes and effect on the need for cognition from the viewpoint of undergraduate non-major students with basic Web Engineering and programming skills. A didactic intervention including CodeTrip was conducted with a randomized sample of 18 undergraduate students, who were asked during the tool introduction and after doing the course, using qualitative analysis and validated items from technology and media effects research. The results are promising and support the idea that the user interface of the tool adds to the learning of the students since they show higher need for cognition scores and better self-evaluation after its use. Generalization of results is limited due to the small sample size. Future work includes the validation of the questionnaire with a bigger sample.

In this paper, we propose an architecturally novel approach to implementing purpose-based access control in practice. Different from previous proposals, our approach resides on the application instead of the data(base) layer. This allows for significantly better integration with established architectures and practices of real-world application engineering and to achieve database independence. To validate practical applicability, we provide two exemplary implementations and briefly assess the introduced overhead in matters of achievable throughputs. Results significantly depend on data and query type but basically suggest bearable overheads for realistic applications even though possible performance optimizations have not been implemented in our proofs-of-concept yet. Our approach thus proposes significantly better practical feasibility than previous ones and exhibits reasonable overheads. It therefore paves the way for purpose-based access control to be actually adopted in practice.

This paper documents a systematic approach (RAMLFlask) to extending Web application frameworks (Flask) to include support for interface-description languages (IDLs such as RAML) and code generation.

For last 15 years universities around the world are continuously developing effective curricula for Web Engineering in order to create good opportunities for graduates to cope up with IT-Software industries. From this study we will show the gap between the skill requirements of IT-Software industries and universities’ web course curricula. Also, we will provide a balanced and structured web course curriculum for any universities. Nowadays, there is a rapid development in web-based applications everywhere but most of our students are late bloomer in programming. So, to ease their difficulties in web sector we need a balanced web curriculum and effective teaching method. By this curriculum one can achieve an overall idea and a minimum view of web engineering which can be beneficial for them in further Web development. Students get a little knowledge in their university on Web Engineering because of the vastness of the contents and the small duration of semester. Our two-semester web course curricula will help them to overcome this problem. Two-semester web course curricula have a huge impact on achieving the minimum required skill in web development field in IT-Software industries. It will help to obtain most of the area of web related content also it will increase problem solving skill and versatile knowledge of web engineering in undergraduate life.

A robust technique for generating web navigation logs could be fundamental for applications not yet released, since developers could evaluate their applications as if they were used by real clients. This could allow to test and improve the applications faster and with lower costs, especially with respect to the usability and interaction aspects. In this paper we propose the application of deep learning techniques, like recurrent neural networks (RNN) and generative adversarial neural networks (GAN), aimed at generating high-quality weblogs, which can be used for automated testing and improvement of Web sites even before their release.

The evolution was shaped by an interplay of new technologies on the one hand, and innovative application ideas from communities on the other. At a technological scale, alternation between vastly distributed and centralized architectures can be observed. The current challenges caused by the ongoing digital transformation are changing workplace settings and the adoption of the Internet of Things in industrial use cases, as for example in the context of Industry 4.0. On the Web, new technologies and device types sprawl together with new communication protocols and revised application programming interfaces (APIs). This inhibits the demanded rapid innovation cycles and creates a disruptive and unstable environment in which the requirements of endless communities must be met. Information systems infrastructure, while only partially visible and thus hard to grasp, has a strong influence on user practices. Therefore, the aim of this thesis is to stabilize the dichotomies apparent in the Web by means of an agile information systems development methodology. It supports the evolution of infrastructure through community-driven and model-based technologies to guide it on a sustainable path of continuous innovation. Our DevOpsUse methodology includes users in the process of infrastructuring, i.e. the appropriation of infrastructure during its usage. Agile development practices in software engineering, in particular DevOps, promote stronger cooperation between development and operating teams. DevOpsUse additionally fosters a stronger involvement of end users in software development processes. It intends to empower communities of practice to create and run their own software on their specific infrastructure, with the help of various newly developed software artifacts. The instantiation of our DevOpsUse life cycle model starts with Requirements Bazaar, a Web-based tool involving end users in the idea generation and evolution phases. Direwolf is a model-based framework bridging the gap between technocratic API descriptions created by developers, and user interfaces understood by end users. Faster development times require a streamlined deployment, which we achieve with the software container-based Layers Box. Ultimately, distributed development and operation go hand in hand with our evolutionary analytics platform SWEVA. The newly developed DevOpsUse methodology with its four areas, all involving end users, has been successfully validated by the transitions between three generations of technologies: near real-time peer-to-peer Web architectures, edge computing, and the Internet of Things. All technological leaps could be adequately mastered and supported by significantly end-user-oriented measures. In particular, we were able to demonstrate our methodology's capabilities through longitudinal studies in several large-scale international digitalization projects. DevOpsUse scalability and involvement aspects were confirmed in entrepreneurial and medical teaching courses. Software systems that are embedded in autonomous Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs) usually have a large life-cycle, both during its development and in maintenance. This software evolves during its life-cycle in order to incorporate new requirements, bug fixes, and to deal with hardware obsolescence. The current process for developing and maintaining this software is very fragmented, which makes developing new software versions and deploying them in the CPSs extremely expensive. In other domains, such as web engineering, the phases of development and operation are tightly connected, making it possible to easily perform software updates of the system, and to obtain operational data that can be analyzed by engineers at development time. However, in spite of the rise of new communication technologies (e.g., 5G) providing an opportunity to acquire Design-Operation Continuum Engineering methods in the context of CPSs, there are still many complex issues that need to be addressed, such as the ones related with hardware-software co-design. Therefore, the process of Design-Operation Continuum Engineering for CPSs requires substantial changes with respect to the current fragmented software development process. In this paper, we build a taxonomy for Design-Operation Continuum Engineering of CPSs based on case studies from two different industrial domains involving CPSs (elevation and railway). This taxonomy is later used to elicit requirements from these two case studies in order to present a blueprint on adopting Design-Operation Continuum Engineering in any organization developing CPSs.

During the revolution of webs, several modern web applications appeared. After developing electronic devices, Ubiquitous web applications (UWA) becomes an important part of web applications. UWAs are a new type of web applications which are accessed in various contexts, meaning through different devices, by users with various interests, at any time from any place around the globe. Interaction Flow Modeling Language (IFML) is the recent modeling language has many concepts for developing interactions in web applications compared with other web engineering methods. In this paper, we present the role of IFML method to develop UWA features through analyzing IFML and designing a case study. Academic year there were 2014/2015 the latest national test that policy can be implemented in two ways, the first national examination was carried out with the mechanics in writing or Paper Based Test (PBT), and the second national examination is carried out by the mechanism uses a computer or Computer Based so-called Test (CBT). Computer Based Test (CBT) for its implementation, where all test process was done through computers, ranging from the creation of matter, the setting class, setting the user can take the exam, the teacher was teaching, setting up the test process, utilizing web engineering technology, as well as its spring system online. Academic year 2016/2017 in South Sumatra by as much as 261 high schools both public and private have been implementing a national exam in the form of Computer-Based Test (Kemendikbud 2017). This study sampled in ten high schools located in remote villages. In understanding and knowledge about the use of technology-based desktop application specifically at schools that are in remote villages is insufficient, in karenakan least amount of computers and teachers who are in school. The purpose of this research was to measure the application of Computer Based Test using variable effectiveness and efficiency on the basis of ISO 9126. Web Systems are widely used and accepted due to their advantages over traditional desktop applications. Modernization of existing non-Web software towards the Web, however, is a complex and challenging task due to Legacy System characteristics. Independent Software Vendors are struggling to commence Web Migration because of the involved effort and risk. Through systematic field research and problem analysis, this situation is further analyzed, deriving a set of requirements that represent the effort and risk concerns and are used to assess the state of the art in the field. Existing Web Migration research exhibits gaps concerning dedicated approaches for the initial phase and feasibility of the proposed strategies with limited resources and expertise. This thesis proposes a solution to address the shortcomings above and support Independent Software Vendors to commence Web Migration, focusing on effort and risk. The main idea is to provide a set of dedicated solutions to close the identified gaps in the form of a methodology and a supporting toolsuite that transfer paradigms successfully solving similar problems in other areas of computer science into the Web Migration domain. These solutions constitute the proposed approach called Agile Web Migration for SMEs (AWSM), consisting of methods, tools, principles, and formalisms for reverse engineering, risk management, customer impact control, and migration strategy selection. The thesis describes the research on the devised ideas in the context of a collaboration project with an Independent Software Vendor. Applicability and feasibility of the concepts are demonstrated in several evaluation experiments, integrating empirical user studies and objective measurements. This article describes how cloud computing utilizes the benefits of web engineering and its applications by improving the performance and reducing the load on cloud providers. As the cloud is one of the emerging technology in the field of computing, it is used to provide various services to the user through the internet. One of the major concerns in cloud computing is accessibility of cloud. For estimating the availability of cloud, various load balancing algorithms are deployed in data centers of the cloud environment. Load balancing is a technique that distributes a signal load across various computers for optimizing resource usage, reducing response time, etc. There are different load balancing algorithms, for performing the load distribution across various centers. This article analyses different load balancing algorithms and develop a new algorithm for efficient load balancing. The proposed load balancing algorithm utilizes the concepts of web engineering to prioritize the request of end user using parsing technique, which will assign the resources to the end users based on the priority set by the data centers.

At the same time, the database management software uses MySQL with the PHP programming language and the Laravel Framework.
