A novel and environmentally friendly magnetic iron zeolite (MIZ) core–shell were successfully fabricated using municipal solid waste incineration bottom ash-derived zeolite (MWZ) coated with Fe3O4 and innovatively investigated as a heterogeneous persulfate (PS) catalyst. The morphology and structure composition of as-prepared catalysts were characterised, and it was proved that the core–shell structure of MIZ was successfully synthesised by coating Fe3O4 uniformly on the MWZ surface. The tetracycline hydrochloride (TCH) degradation experiment indicate that the optimum equimolar amount of iron precursors was 3 mmol (MIZ-3). Compared with other systems, MIZ-3 possessed a superior catalytic performance, and the degradation efficiency of TCH (50 mg·L−1) in the MIZ-3/PS system reached 87.3%. The effects of reaction parameters on the catalytic activity of MIZ-3, including pH, initial concentration of TCH, temperature, the dosage of catalyst, and Na2S2O8, were assessed. The catalyst had high stability according to three recycling experiments and the leaching test of iron ions. Furthermore, the working mechanism of the MIZ-3/PS system to TCH was discussed. The electron spin resonance (ESR) results demonstrated that the reactive radicals generated in the MIZ-3/PS system were sulphate radical (SO4−∙) and hydroxyl radical (•OH). This work provided a novel strategy for TCH degradation under PS with a broad perspective on the fabrication of non-toxic and low-cost catalysts in practical wastewater treatment.

In recent years, it has been determined that primitive myxoid mesenchymal tumors of infancy (PMMTI) are solid tumors. To date, very few cases of PMMTI have been reported, and there is no consensus regarding treatment. To provide additional references, it is necessary to collect and report the diagnoses and treatment outcomes of related cases. We report the case of a 38-day-old girl who presented with a 5-cm purple tumor in the right shoulder. Upon hospital admission, the patient received an intratumoral injection of bleomycin after diagnosis of a possible lymphangioma. 10 days after the treatment, the tumor began to develop inflammation and necrosis, resulting in a clear demarcation between the tumor and surrounding tissue. Hence, during the second hospitalization, we performed a successful tumor resection. Postoperatively, the tumor was pathologically diagnosed as PMMTI. 3 months after excision, the patient showed no local recurrence on re-examination. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of a PMMTI in which bleomycin, or other similar chemotherapeutic drugs, have been injected into tumors. This result offers novel insights into the treatment of PMMTI. Injection therapy with bleomycin and similar chemotherapeutics may result in specific responses to PMMTI, which may help in developing better surgical conditions or improving outcomes in non-surgical patients.

Understanding functions and co-occurrence patterns of microbial communities in various ecosystems enriches the knowledge on ecosystem characteristics and microbial ecology. However, such analyses have rarely been reported. Herein, functions and inter-taxa correlations of microbial communities in a set of natural environments (farmland (SA), forest soil (SB) and Caspian Sea sediments (CSS)) and engineered ecosystems (wastewater treatment plants (FW, WA and WB) and anaerobic digesters (AD)) were studied based on FAPROTAX and network analyses, respectively, by a collection of 115 samples from seven published 16S rRNA gene datasets generated by high-throughput sequencing. The results show that chemoheterotrophy related populations were the most abundant in almost all the communities. Their relative abundances (RAs) in the AD systems were the highest (43.7%±4.2%), followed by those of the soil environments (40.2%±1.9% in SA and 36.4%±2.0% in SB). For each ecosystem, the indicative community and overall community showed differentiations in several function categories. For example, the SA and SB indicative communities showed higher RAs in aerobic chemoheterotrophy, the CSS indicative community showed higher RAs in sulfate respiration, the AD indicative community showed higher RAs in fermentation, and the WB indicative community included higher RAs of predatory/exoparasitic bacteria. Three molecular ecological networks of the communities from the AD, WB and SB datasets were constructed, respectively. The WB network showed the highest proportion of negative correlations (70.4%), possibly attributed to the environmental pressure which aggravated microbial competition. The positively correlated taxa showed lower phylogenetic distances than the negatively correlated taxa on average in each network.

We present the case about destructive injury of brachial, ulnar, and radial arteries with an open posterior dislocation of the right elbow, and a 25cm long reversed bifurcated great saphenous vein graft was applied for arterial reconstruction. The patient had obvious distal pulses after the operation. Ten years’ follow-up showed the good function of the right arm. We collected the information on 27 chronic conditions through the self-reported medical history and used the Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) short form to evaluate depressive symptoms. Multivariate Logistic regression was used to evaluate the relationship between multimorbidity and depressive symptoms.Results: Five thousand two hundred and ninety-six participants were included into the current study, among which 2687 (50.74%) were female, with the mean ± SD age 72.0 ± 8.1 years old. The overall prevalence of depressive symptoms in eastern China was 23.5%. Background: To estimate the short term effect of particulate matter (particle diameter < 2.5 μm, or PM2.5) on the risk of peptic ulcer diseases (PUDs). Methods: A retrospective hospital-based cohort study was conducted in seven major cities in Zhejiang province, China (combined population > 57 million) which included a total of 647,092 subjects underwent gastroscopy examination (86,852 subjects among them were diagnosed as PUDs) recorded in 13 large hospitals from 2014 to 2018 to analyze relationship between PM2.5 and PUDs including duodenal ulcer (DU) and gastric ulcer (GU). Findings: Pooled estimated OR (95%CI) associated with a 10μg/m3 increase of 1-month average PM2.5 before the detection of PUDs was 1.050 (95%CI:1.038, 1.063). When the 3-month moving average and 6-month moving average concentrations were used as the exposure window, the association between PM2.5 concentrations and the incident of PUDs tends to be attenuated but remained significant (OR=1.030, 95%CI= 1.018-1.043 for 3-month moving average and OR=1.020, 95%CI=1.005-1.037 for 6-month moving average, respectively). The observed association tended to be stronger in DU and the association of PM2.5 and PUDs remained significant in the two-pollutant models. Interpretation: We observed a significant association between short-term exposure to PM2.5 and in a multi-site and large sample size study in China. Our findings could contribute to the evidence that a more general adverse role of air pollution on PUDs. On February 15, 2006, the ministry of finance issued new enterprise accounting standards system, including the accounting standards for enterprises income tax ,which has clearly shown that we should apply the international balance sheet debt method to tax accounting. The view of assets and liability, as the theoretical basis of balance sheet debt method , pays more attention to the reality of transaction and event, so that it can make financial statements more true and fair.

In recent years, the environmental engineering of China university of mining and technology (Beijing) specialty carried out a series of reforms, aimed to improve the students’ practical experience of innovative ability. This paper explores the practice teaching system of environmental engineering by combining with that practical experience. It is on the basis of the spirit that “Constructing energy industry elite education teaching system actively and explore diversified personnel training mode”, which was put forward by our school. In addition, this paper also introduces the measures to integrate the advantage of research with the discipline’s in environmental engineering, to highlight energy professional advantages of our school, to build practice teaching link in the field of coal disposal and to cultivate environmental professional elite talent.

With dimethyl phthalate as the model pollutant and Ru/Al(2)O(3) as catalyst, this paper systemically investigates the removal of total organic carbon (TOC) of system. Our results have confirmed that Ru/Al(2)O(3) can significantly increase the effect of ozonation. TOC removal in 120 min can reach 72% while only 24% with ozone alone. The optimal catalyst preparing condition was 0.1 wt% Ru content, 600 degrees C calcination temperature, 0.5-1.0mm particle diameter, which is characterized by a high surface area and a large population of surface active sites. The contrasting experiments of ozone alone, catalyst adsorption after ozonation, and catalytic ozonation confirmed that catalytic reaction was the most important process to TOC removal in system with Ru/Al(2)O(3) as catalyst.
