This study aimed to investigate the dynamic changes in SARS-CoV-2-specific CD4+ T-cell subsets and neutralizing antibody after three consecutive doses of inactivated COVID-19 vaccines (BBIBP-CorV) among PLWH.Methods: The blood samples were collected from 165 PLWH, including 66 PLWH in the 3-month interval between the second and third dose (cohort 1) and 99 PLWH in the 5-month interval (cohort 2). Blood collection for immunogenicity analysis was performed at 1-month post-2nd vaccination, pre-3rd vaccination, and within 2-month post-3rd vaccination. Wilcoxon matched-pairs signed-rank test was applied to compare the SARS-CoV-2-specific CD4+ T cell subsets and neutralizing antibody level at different time points. The relationship among CD4+ T-cells, Tregs subpopulations and SARS-CoV-2-specific neutralizing antibody level were evaluated with Spearman non-parametric correlation test.Results: No serious adverse reactions were found among PLWH. After two-dose or three-dose inactivated COVID-19 vaccination, the absolute counts of CD4+ T-cells and Tregs subpopulations (CD4+CD25HighCD127Low Tregs, CD45RA+ rTregs and CD45RO+ eTregs) increased in two cohorts. Satisfactory SARS-CoV-2-specific neutralizing antibody responses to the third-dose vaccination were found in two cohorts, including significantly enhanced neutralizing antibody level and high neutralizing antibody seroconversion rate. In addition, SARS-CoV-2-specific neutralizing antibody level were positively associated with the absolute counts of CD4+ T-cells and Tregs subpopulations as well as the frequency of CD45RO+ eTregs in PLWH after three doses of vaccinations.Conclusion: The three doses of inactivated COVID-19 vaccination were both safe and effective to increase SARS-CoV-2-specific CD4+ T-cells and neutralizing antibody in two PLWH cohorts with different inoculation intervals.Keywords: CD4+ T-cells, neutralizing antibody, inactivated COVID-19 vaccines, PLWH

Abstract

Whether and how to synchronously regulate stream water nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) concentrations and ratios is a major challenge for sustainable aquatic functions. Soil carbon (C):N:P ratios influence soil N and P stocks and biogeochemical processes that elicit subsequent substantial impacts on stream water N and P concentrations and ratios. Therefore, bridging soil and stream water with ecological stoichiometry is one of the most promising technologies for improving stream water quality. Here, we quantified the ecological stoichiometry of soil and stream water relationships across nine catchments. Soil C:P ratio was the main driver of water quality, showing negative correlations with stream water N and P concentrations, and positive correlations with the N:P ratio in P-limited catchments. We revealed that soil C:P ratios higher than 97.8 mol mol−1 are required to achieve the simultaneous regulation of stream water N and P concentrations below the eutrophication threshold and make algal growth P-limited. Furthermore, we found that the relationships between catchment landscape and soil ecological stoichiometry likely provided practical options for regulating soil ecological stoichiometry. Our work highlights that soil ecological stoichiometry can effectively indicate the amount and proportion of soil N and P losses, and can be intervened through rational landscape planning to achieve sustainable aquatic ecosystems in catchments.

5. Fermentation of Robinia pseudoacacia flower for improving the antioxidation: optimized conditions, active composition, mechanism, and biotransformation process

Abstract

Robinia pseudoacacia flower is a natural product with many biological activities, including antioxidation. To further develop its antioxidation, the extract was fermented by Aspergillus niger FFCC 3112 in the medium with carbon to nitrogen ratio of 1.4:1 and initial pH of 4.2 for 3.5 days to form the best antioxidant activity of the fermentation product by strain screening, single factor optimization, and response surface methodology. Further analysis, isolation and activity determination showed that a main chemical component, kaempferol-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→6)-β-D-galactopyranosyl-7-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside, in the extract was completely hydrolyzed to kaempferol-7-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside and kaempferol with better antioxidant activity through biotransformation, which was the basis for improving the antioxidant activity of fermentation products. Moreover, the mechanism of antioxidant and the contribution of phenolic hydroxyl groups were investigated by density functional theory. The result indicated that the antioxidant capacity of kaempferol-7-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside and kaempferol increased with the increase of solvent polarity. In high-polarity solvents, they mainly scavenge free radicals through single electron transfer followed by proton transfer.

Abstract

This paper takes Poa annua L. as the research object and studies the law of physiological and ecological stress of 1-Chloronaphthalene (CN-1) and Octachloronaphthalene (CN-75) by using various physiological and biochemical indexes of Poa annua L. cultivated with soil under the stress of CN-1 and CN-75 of different concentrations. According to the research, the chlorophyll a and b first increase and then decrease with the increase of the concentration of CN-1, and continue to decrease with the increase of CN-75; Soluble sugar and soluble protein in plants decrease first and then increase with the increase of CN-1, and continue to decrease with the increase of CN-75; MDA in plants increases first and then decreases with the increase of the concentration of CN-1 and CN-75. The proline content in plants also increases first and then decreases with the increase of concentration of CN-1 and CN-75. Based on the research, it can be seen that the tolerance of the plant to CN-75 is not good as to CN-1.

Following placement of the puncture needle tip between the target nerve root and posterior tubercle, 3 mL of the drug was administered per root (0.33% lidocaine 0.5 mL + Compound betamethasone injection 0.5mL + methylcobalamin injection 1mL + iohexol 1mL). Subsequently, the IDP was assessed on postintervention CT scan images.Results: In all, 18 participants were analyzed. We injected 21 target cervical nerve roots, namely, 1 C4 nerve, 9 C5 nerves, and 11 C6 nerves. Among the IDPs on postintervention CT scan images, two IDPs were most prevalent, namely, the contrast spread into the extraforaminal spaces (Zone I, the interscalene) in 100% (21/21) of cases, and the foraminal space spread (Zone II) in 61.90% (13/21) of cases. The injectate spread into the epidural spaces (Zone III) in only 2 out of 21 cases (9.52%). The pain relief was significantly improved two hours after surgery, compared to the preoperative VAS pain scores (2 hours, 1.39± 0.50 vs VAS at baseline, P< 0.01). The VAS pain scores during follow-up were significantly lower than preoperation (1 weeks, 1.94± 0.54 vs VAS at baseline; 2 weeks, 2.61± 0.70, P< 0.01 vs VAS at baseline; 4 weeks, 2.67± 0.59, P< 0.01 vs VAS at baseline).Conclusion: We verified, via CT imaging, that the UG-SCNRB drug diffusion was within safe range (the injectate mainly spread to the extraforaminal spaces), and without any serious complications, such as, intravascular drug injection, extensive diffusion of the epidural space, and general spinal anesthesia.Keywords: ultrasound-guided, cervical radiculopathy, selective nerve root block, efficacy, tomography

Abstract

In the present paper, a new concept of favorable probability is proposed first, and a simplified approach for multi-criteria decision-making is developed on basis of probability theory. It assumes that all the performance indexes of all alternatives can be divided into beneficial and unbeneficial types in the multi-criteria decision-making, and each performance index of all alternative makes its contribution to a partial favorable probability in positively or negatively correlative manners linearly upon its type of beneficial or unbeneficial; the partial favorable probability of each performance index with the same physical meaning is normalized in the alternative group; the product of all partial favorable probability of an alternative makes the total favorable probability of the alternative. As a consequence, all the alternatives can be ranked according to their total favorable probability comparatively in the multi-criteria decision-making. As application examples of the new method, the quantitative assessment of multi-criteria selection for effective dwelling house walls, project managers and contractor for construction works are given in detail, satisfied results are obtained. Abstract

Echinacoside (ECH) is the main compound of Cistanche deserticola, which possesses antioxidant, antitumor, antifatigue, and anti-inflammatory properties. The present study investigated the protective effects of echinacoside on type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM)-induced injury in T2DM injury db/db mice model and insulin-resistant LO2 cell model. The results demonstrated that ECH probably alleviated T2DM-induced injury by mediating the AKT pathway, which provided a new direction for the treatment of T2DM-induced injury.

Abstract

Investigation on the chemical components of Valeriana jatamansi Jones (Caprifoliaceae), a new lignan with pyran-ring, dipsalignan G (1), along with eight known compounds (2–9) were isolated. Their structures were elucidated by extensive analysis of 1D, 2D NMR and HR-ESI-MS spectroscopic data. Additionally, possible biosynthetic pathway of 1 was proposed. Finally, biological evaluation results showed that 8 had significant scavenging ability to ABTS and DPPH free radicals, with IC50 values of 1.35 ± 0.01 and 2.94 ± 0.01 μg/ml, respectively.

This research examines the restrictions on preventing trademarks consinsting of work title or character’s name from being registered by unauthorized persons in Japan and China. In the Japanese and Chinese judicial practice of trademark law, protecting the interests of persons who participate in the process of authorized merchandising is seen as an important issue. This has led to the trend of extending the scope of application of the trademark law for confirmation of trademark rights. However, this trend has not been fully explained theoretically and may lead to excessive protection. Therefore, this research will clarify how changes have been made to the application of trademark law regulations in related judgments, and then attempt to examine the factors that should be considered（norms of judgment）on the restrictions from the perspective of balancing interests

19. Particle Swarm Optimization with Long and Short Term Memory in Feature Selection

Abstract

Taking each iteration of Particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm as a time node, the change of population in PSO algorithm can be regarded as a time series model. Particle population learns and evolves in multiple time nodes, which can be regarded as a dependent behavior on leader particles. In the traditional particle swarm optimization algorithm, this dependence behavior is independent of time, and its consideration standard is only the fitness value of particles. We deeply study the leadership mechanism of PSO algorithm in order to find a more robust leadership mechanism and improve the ability of PSO algorithm to explore the solution space, by extending the dependence behavior in the time dimension, we propose an improved PSO algorithm with long-term and short-term memory ability. In order to verify its performance, in the experimental part, we select 32 public data sets in UCI data to find the optimal feature subset. In a large number of feature selection experiments. The experimental results proofed that the performance of proposed algorithms is better than some state of the art algorithms. &nbsp

20. A Theoretically Guaranteed Quaternion Weighted Schatten p-norm Minimization Method for Color Image Restoration

Abstract

Inspired by the fact that the matrix formulated by nonlocal similar patches in a natural image is of low rank, the rank approximation issue have been extensively investigated over the past decades, among which weighted nuclear norm minimization (WNNM) and weighted Schatten $p$-norm minimization (WSNM) are two prevailing methods have shown great superiority in various image restoration (IR) problems. Due to the physical characteristic of color images, color image restoration (CIR) is often a much more difficult task than its grayscale image counterpart. However, when applied to CIR, the traditional WNNM/WSNM method only processes three color channels individually and fails to consider their cross-channel correlations. Very recently, a quaternion-based WNNM approach (QWNNM) has been developed to mitigate this issue, which is capable of representing the color image as a whole in the quaternion domain and preserving the inherent correlation among the three color channels. Despite its empirical success, unfortunately, the convergence behavior of QWNNM has not been strictly studied yet. In this paper, on the one side, we extend the WSNM into quaternion domain and correspondingly propose a novel quaternion-based WSNM model (QWSNM) for tackling the CIR problems. Extensive experiments on two representative CIR tasks, including color image denoising and deblurring, demonstrate that the proposed QWSNM method performs favorably against many state-of-the-art alternatives, in both quantitative and qualitative evaluations. On the other side, more importantly, we preliminarily provide a theoretical convergence analysis, that is, by modifying the quaternion alternating direction method of multipliers (QADMM) through a simple continuation strategy, we theoretically prove that both the solution sequences generated by the QWNNM and QWSNM have fixed-point convergence guarantees., Comment: 46 pages, 10 figures; references added

Abstract

The cross sections of the $e^{+}e^{-}\to\phi\eta'$ process at center-of-mass energies from 3.508 to 4.951 GeV are measured with high precision using 26.1 fb$^{-1}$ data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. The cross sections are of the order of a few picobarn, and decrease as the center-of-mass energy increases as $s^{-n/2}$ with $n=4.35\pm 0.14$. This result is in agreement with the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model prediction of $n=3.5\pm 0.9$. In addition, the charmless decay $\psi(3770)\to\phi\eta'$ is searched for by fitting the measured cross sections, yet no significant signal is observed. The upper limit of ${\cal B}(\psi(3770)\to\phi\eta')$ at the 90\% confidence level is determined to be $2.3\times 10^{-5}$.

Abstract

By analyzing 7.33 fb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV with the BESIII detector, we report the observation of the semileptonic decay $D^+_s\to \eta^\prime \mu^+\nu_\mu$ and studies of the $D_s^+ \to \eta\mu^+\nu_\mu$ and $D_s^+ \to \eta^\prime\mu^+\nu_\mu$ decay dynamics for the first time. The branching fractions of $D_s^+ \to \eta\mu^+\nu_\mu$ and $D_s^+ \to \eta^\prime\mu^+\nu_\mu$ are determined to be $(2.215\pm0.051_{\rm stat}\pm0.052_{\rm syst})\%$ and $(0.801\pm0.055_{\rm stat}\pm0.031_{\rm syst})\%$, respectively, with precision improved by factors of 5.9 and 6.5 compared to the previous best measurements. Combined with the results for the decays $D_s^+ \to \eta e^+\nu_e$ and $D_s^+ \to \eta^\prime e^+\nu_e$, the ratios of the decay widths are examined, both inclusively and in several $\mu^+\nu_\mu$ four-momentum transfer ranges. No evidence for lepton flavor universality violation is found within the current statistics. The products of the hadronic form factors $f_+^{\eta^{(\prime)}}(0)$ and the $c\to s$ Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cs}|$ are determined. The results based on the two-parameter series expansion are $f^{\eta}_+(0)|V_{cs}| = 0.451\pm0.010_{\rm stat}\pm0.008_{\rm syst}$ and $f^{\eta^{\prime}}_+(0)|V_{cs}| = 0.506\pm0.037_{\rm stat}\pm0.011_{\rm syst}$, which constrain present models on $f_{+}^{\eta^{(\prime)}}(0)$. The $\eta-\eta^\prime$ mixing angle in the quark flavor basis is determined to be $\phi_{\rm P} =(40.2\pm2.1_{\rm stat}\pm0.7_{\rm syst})^\circ$.

Abstract

We report the measurement of the cross sections for $e^+e^-$$\rightarrow${nOCH} (nOCH stands for non-open charm hadrons) with improved precision at center-of-mass energies from 3.645 to 3.871 GeV. We observe for the first time a three-resonance structure in the energy-dependent lineshape of the cross sections, which are $\mathcal R(3760)$, $\mathcal R(3780)$ and $\mathcal R(3810)$ with significances of $9.4\sigma$, $15.7\sigma$, and $9.8\sigma$, respectively. The $\mathcal R(3810)$ is observed for the first time. We found two solutions in analysis of the cross sections. For solution I [solution II], we measure the mass, the total width and the product of electronic width and nOCH decay branching fraction to be $(3805.8 \pm 1.1 \pm 2.7)$ [$(3805.8 \pm 1.1 \pm 2.7)$] MeV/$c^2$, $(11.6 \pm 2.6 \pm 1.9)$ [$(11.5 \pm 2.5 \pm 1.8)$] MeV, and $(10.8\pm 3.2\pm 2.3)$ [$(11.0\pm 2.9\pm 2.4)$] eV for the $\mathcal R(3810)$, respectively. In addition, we measure the branching fractions ${\mathcal B}({\mathcal R}(3760)$$\rightarrow${nOCH}$)=(24.5 \pm 13.4 \pm 27.4)\% [(6.8 \pm 5.4 \pm 7.6)\%]$ for the first time, and ${\mathcal B}(\mathcal R(3780)$$\rightarrow${nOCH}$)=(11.6 \pm 5.8 \pm 7.8)\% [(10.3 \pm 4.5 \pm 6.9)\%]$. Moreover, we determine the open-charm (OC) branching fraction ${\mathcal B}({\mathcal R}$$(3760)\rightarrow${OC}$)=(75.5 \pm 13.4 \pm 27.4)\% [(93.2 \pm 5.4 \pm 7.6)\%]$, which supports the interpretation of $\mathcal R(3760)$ as an OC pair molecular state, but contained a simple four-quark state component. The first uncertainties are from fits to the cross sections, and the second are systematic.

Abstract

Cavity magnomechanics (CMM) is an emerging field and has received much attention in the past decade. It deals with coherent couplings among microwave cavity photons, magnons and vibration phonons. So far, all previous CMM experiments have been operated in the weak-coupling regime. This considerably limits prospective various applications of the system. Here, we demonstrate the CMM system in the strong-coupling regime and observe the associated normal-mode splitting. In this regime, the mechanical oscillator is strongly coupled to a cavity-magnon polariton that is formed by strongly coupled cavity photons and magnons, and the polariton-mechanics cooperativity reaches $4\times10^3$, which is improved by three orders of magnitude than previous CMM experiments. The system is then in the triple-strong-coupling regime and the normal modes of the system are the hybridization of microwave photons, magnons and phonons. This is achieved by significantly reducing the linewidth of the polariton mode using coherent perfect absorption and the linewidth is reduced by four orders of magnitude. The work paves the way towards full quantum control of phonons, photons and magnons, and provides a new platform for the study of rich strong-coupling effects in multipartite hybrid systems.

Abstract

Based on 4.5 $\mbox{fb$^{-1}$}$ $e^+e^-$ collision data collected with BESIII detector at seven energy points between 4.600 and 4.699 GeV, the branching fractions for $\Lambda_{c}^{+}\to p\eta$ and $\Lambda_{c}^{+}\to p\omega$ were measured by means of single-tag method. The branching fractions of $\Lambda_{c}^{+}\to p\eta$ and $\Lambda_{c}^{+}\to p\omega$ are determined to be $(1.58\pm0.11_{\rm {stat}}\pm0.04_{\rm{syst}})\times10^{-3}$ and $(1.11\pm0.20_{\rm{stat}}\pm0.05_{\rm{syst}})\times10^{-3}$, with a statistical significance of greater than 10 $\sigma$ and 5.7 $\sigma$, respectively. These results are consistent with the previous measurements by BESIII, LHCb and Belle, and the result of $\Lambda_{c}^{+}\to p\eta$ is the most precise to date., Comment: 23 pages, 4 figures

Abstract

In this lecture note, we give a basic introduction to the rapidly developing concepts of generalized symmetries, from the perspectives of both high energy physics and condensed matter physics. In particular, we emphasize on the (invertible) higher-form and higher-group symmetries. For the physical applications, we discuss the geometric engineering of QFTs in string theory and the symmetry-protected topological (SPT) phases in condensed matter physics. Abstract

Load forecasting is of great significance in the power industry as it can provide a reference for subsequent tasks such as power grid dispatch, thus bringing huge economic benefits. However, there are many differences between load forecasting and traditional time series forecasting. On the one hand, load forecasting aims to minimize the cost of subsequent tasks such as power grid dispatch, rather than simply pursuing prediction accuracy. On the other hand, the load is largely influenced by many external factors, such as temperature or calendar variables. In addition, the scale of predictions (such as building-level loads and aggregated-level loads) can also significantly impact the predicted results. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive load forecasting archive, which includes load domain-specific feature engineering to help forecasting models better model load data. In addition, different from the traditional loss function which only aims for accuracy, we also provide a method to customize the loss function based on the forecasting error, integrating it into our forecasting framework. Based on this, we conducted extensive experiments on load data at different levels, providing a reference for researchers to compare different load forecasting models.

Abstract

We study the process $e^{+}e^{-}\to\Lambda_{c}^{+}\bar{\Lambda}_c^{-}$ at twelve center-of-mass energies from $4.6119$ to $4.9509~\mathrm{GeV}$ using data samples collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The Born cross sections and effective form factors ($|G_{\mathrm{eff}}|$) are determined with unprecedented precision after combining the single and double-tag methods based on the decay process $\Lambda_{c}^{+}\to pK^{-}\pi^{+}$. Flat cross sections around $4.63~\mathrm{GeV}$ are obtained and no indication of the resonant structure $Y(4630)$, as reported by Belle, is found. In addition, no oscillatory behavior is discerned in the $|G_{\mathrm{eff}}|$ energy-dependence of $\Lambda_{c}^{+}$, in contrast to what is seen for the proton and neutron cases. Analyzing the cross section together with the polar-angle distribution of the $\Lambda_{c}^{+}$ baryon at each energy point, the moduli of electric and magnetic form factors ($|G_{E}|$ and $|G_{M}|$) are extracted and separated. For the first time, the energy-dependence of the form factor ratio $|G_{E}/G_{M}|$ is observed, which can be well described by an oscillatory function., Comment: 10 pages, 3 figures

Abstract

This paper introduces InternVid, a large-scale video-centric multimodal dataset that enables learning powerful and transferable video-text representations for multimodal understanding and generation. The InternVid dataset contains over 7 million videos lasting nearly 760K hours, yielding 234M video clips accompanied by detailed descriptions of total 4.1B words. Our core contribution is to develop a scalable approach to autonomously build a high-quality video-text dataset with large language models (LLM), thereby showcasing its efficacy in learning video-language representation at scale. Specifically, we utilize a multi-scale approach to generate video-related descriptions. Furthermore, we introduce ViCLIP, a video-text representation learning model based on ViT-L. Learned on InternVid via contrastive learning, this model demonstrates leading zero-shot action recognition and competitive video retrieval performance. Beyond basic video understanding tasks like recognition and retrieval, our dataset and model have broad applications. They are particularly beneficial for generating interleaved video-text data for learning a video-centric dialogue system, advancing video-to-text and text-to-video generation research. Abstract

Using (1.0087±0.0044)×1010 J/ψ events collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we report the first search for the baryon and lepton number violating decays Ξ0→K−e+ with Δ(B−L)=0 and Ξ0→K+e− with |Δ(B−L)|=2, where B (L) is the baryon (lepton) number. While no signal is observed, the upper limits on the branching fractions of these two decays are set to B(Ξ0→K−e+)<3.6×10−6 and B(Ξ0→K+e−)<1.9×10−6 at the 90% confidence level, respectively. These results offer a direct probe of baryon number violating interactions involving a strange quark.

31. 300-year historical solar-irradiance reconstructions based on updated sunspot records and Advective Flux Transport model simulations

Abstract

A NASA-funded Solar Irradiance Science Team is reconstructing the historical total solar irradiance (TSI) based on the recently updated Sunspot Index and Long-term Solar Observations (SILSO) sunspot-record time series. This effort, needed for Earth climate-change studies, includes three primary components:Improve the sunspot-number records by including vetted measurement contributions from over a thousand observers spanning the last 400 years and applying new algorithmic methods to evaluate and combine those records into a sunspot-record composite.Simulate the historical solar-surface magnetic activity to match those updated sunspot records using the Advective Flux Transport (AFT) model, providing the primary sunspot- and facular-flux inputs needed for TSI reconstruction models.Update the “Community-Consensus TSI Composite” using the latest spacecraft measurements, linking the historical TSI reconstructions to this modern four-decade-long composite.The latest SILSO data were updated in 2015 by an international team using many newly discovered observational records and thorough evaluations of all records. This effort resulted in significant changes from prior such series and thus required reevaluations of all historical reconstructions based on the sunspot record. The AFT simulates the time evolution of the solar-surface flux to give solar-cycle peak dipole amplitudes and durations consistent with the sunspot record. Continuous magnetic-flux maps have been computed from 1750 to the present, giving realistic sunspot- and facular-area inputs needed for the NRLTSI reconstruction model to provide a new historical TSI reconstruction based on the updated SILSO records and these consistent flux-transport model results.We present the methodology used in this reconstruction and the latest TSI series based on this study., The 28th IUGG General Assembly (IUGG2023) (Berlin 2023)

However, the underlying molecular mechanism of myocardial remodeling after MI remains obscure. This study aimed to identify the hub differential expression genes (DEGs) of myocardial remodeling after MI and determine the distribution of immune cells infiltrating the pathology.Methods: We downloaded GSE132143, GSE151834, and GSE176092 data from the GEO database. The GSE132143 dataset was used to identify DEGs, perform functional annotation, and screen hub genes based on protein-protein interaction (PPI) analysis. The GSE151834 dataset was used to validate the expression of hub genes. CIBERSORTx analysis was performed to explore the immune microenvironment in myocardial remodeling after MI. After conducting a literature review, we selected P3H3 to confirm the expression by utilizing immunohistochemistry and qRT-PCR. Finally, the snRNA-seq data in dataset GSE176092 was used for clarifying the expression of these hub genes in various cell clusters.Results: We found 975 DEGs in myocardial remodeling after MI. Four hub genes (P3H3, COL15A1, COL16A1, COL27A1) were identified and were verified in the GSE151834 dataset. According to immune infiltration analysis, CD4+ naive T cells, regulatory T cells, monocytes, M2 macrophages, and neutrophils were involved in the pathological process of myocardial remodeling after MI. Additionally, in vitro experiments verified that P3h3 expression was significantly elevated in myocardial remodeling after MI. The snRNA-seq data analyzed that P3h3, Col15a1, Col16a1, and Col27a1 were highly expressed in fibroblasts of post-MI.Conclusion: This study identified four hub genes P3H3, COL15A1, COL16A1, and COL27A1, particularly P3H3, as potential targets for targeted therapy in MI patients.Keywords: myocardial infarction, myocardial remodeling, hub genes, immune infiltration, bioinformatic analysis

Abstract

The Ξ0 asymmetry parameters are measured using entangled quantum Ξ0−Ξ¯0 pairs from a sample of (448.1±2.9)×106 ψ(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector at BEPCII. The relative phase between the transition amplitudes of the Ξ0Ξ¯0 helicity states is measured to be ΔΦ=−0.050±0.150±0.020 rad, which implies that there is no obvious polarization at the current level of statistics. The decay parameters of the Ξ0 hyperon (αΞ0,αΞ¯0,ϕΞ0,ϕΞ¯0) and the angular distribution parameter [αψ(3686)] and ΔΦ are measured simultaneously for the first time. In addition, the CP asymmetry observables are determined to be ACPΞ0=(αΞ0+αΞ¯0)/(αΞ0−αΞ¯0)=−0.007±0.082±0.025 and ΔϕCPΞ0=(ϕΞ0+ϕΞ¯0)/2=−0.079±0.082±0.010 rad, which are consistent with CP conservation.

We aim to investigate whether short sleep duration is associated with prolonged virus shedding duration in severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) Omicron-infected patients.Patients and Methods: A total of 270 patients with a laboratory confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis during SARS-CoV-2 Omicron-predominant period were recruited. Self-reported sleep duration of the patients was collected. The two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to determine the interactions between sleep duration and variables, and multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the effect of independent variables on longer virus shedding duration.Results: The two-way ANOVA revealed a significant sleep duration × snoring interaction effect for virus shedding duration, and a sleep duration × sex interaction effect for virus shedding duration. Multivariate logistic regression model illustrated that patients sleeping < 6 h were at greater risk of prolonged virus shedding duration compared to those sleeping ≥ 6 hours (OR = 1.80, 95% CI = 1.01– 3.26), independent of age, sex, co-existing diseases, vaccination condition, and antiviral treatment.Conclusion: Short sleep duration (< 6 h) was associated with increased virus shedding in SARS-CoV-2 Omicron-infected patients.Keywords: sleep duration, SARS-CoV-2 Omicron, COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract

The $D^+_s\to K^+K^-\mu^+\nu_\mu$ decay is studied based on 7.33 fb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies in the range from 4.128 to 4.226 GeV. The absolute branching fraction is measured as ${\mathcal B}(D^+_s\to \phi \mu^+\nu_\mu) = (2.25\pm 0.09 \pm 0.07) \times10^{-2}$, the most precise measurement to date. Combining with the world average of ${\mathcal B}(D^+_s\to \phi e^+\nu_e)$, the ratio of the branching fractions obtained is$\frac{{\mathcal B}(D^+_s\to \phi \mu^+\nu_\mu)}{{\mathcal B}(D^+_s\to \phi e^+\nu_e)} = 0.94\pm0.08$, in agreement with lepton universality. By performing a partial wave analysis, the hadronic form factor ratios at $q^{2}=0$ are extracted, finding $r_{V}=\frac{V(0)}{A_{1}(0)}=1.58\pm0.17\pm0.02$ and $r_{2}=\frac{A_{2}(0)}{A_{1}(0)}=0.71\pm0.14\pm0.02$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. No significant $S$-wave contribution from $f_0(980)\to K^+K^-$ is found. The upper limit $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to f_0(980)\mu^{+}{\nu}_{\mu}) \cdot{\mathcal B}(f_0(980)\to K^+K^-) < 5.45 \times 10^{-4}$ is set at 90\% confidence level., Comment: 27 pages, 4 figures

Abstract

Using $(10087\pm44)\times10^{6}$ $J/\psi$ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII $e^+e^-$ storage ring at the center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=3.097~\rm{GeV}$, we present a search for the rare semi-muonic charmonium decay $J/\psi\to D^{-}\mu^{+}\nu_{\mu}+c.c.$. Abstract

This article provides recommendations for implementing quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) for clinical brain research. It is a consensus of the ISMRM Electro-Magnetic Tissue Properties Study Group. While QSM technical development continues to advance rapidly, the current QSM methods have been demonstrated to be repeatable and reproducible for generating quantitative tissue magnetic susceptibility maps in the brain. However, the many QSM approaches available give rise to the need in the neuroimaging community for guidelines on implementation. This article describes relevant considerations and provides specific implementation recommendations for all steps in QSM data acquisition, processing, analysis, and presentation in scientific publications. We recommend that data be acquired using a monopolar 3D multi-echo GRE sequence, that phase images be saved and exported in DICOM format and unwrapped using an exact unwrapping approach. Multi-echo images should be combined before background removal, and a brain mask created using a brain extraction tool with the incorporation of phase-quality-based masking. Background fields should be removed within the brain mask using a technique based on SHARP or PDF, and the optimization approach to dipole inversion should be employed with a sparsity-based regularization. Susceptibility values should be measured relative to a specified reference, including the common reference region of whole brain as a region of interest in the analysis, and QSM results should be reported with - as a minimum - the acquisition and processing specifications listed in the last section of the article. Abstract

Using $e^+e^-$ collision datasets corresponding to total integrated luminosity of 21.7 fb$^{-1}$ collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider at center-of-mass energies ranging from 4.009 GeV to 4.951 GeV, the energy-dependent cross sections of $e^+e^-\to pK^-\bar{\Lambda}+c.c.$ are measured for the first time. By fitting these energy-dependent cross sections, we search for the excited $\psi$ states $\psi(4160)$ and $\psi(4415)$, and the vector charmonium-like states $\psi(4230)$, $\psi(4360)$, and $\psi(4660)$. No evidence for these is observed and the upper limits on the branching fractions of these states decaying into $pK^-\bar \Lambda+c.c.$ are set at the 90\% confidence level., Comment: 20 pages, 4 figures

39. Global existence and optimal time decay rate to one-dimensional two-phase flow model

Abstract

We investigate the global existence and optimal time decay rate of solution to the one dimensional (1D) two-phase flow described by compressible Euler equations coupled with compressible Navier-Stokes equations through the relaxation drag force on the momentum equations. First, we prove the global existence of strong solution to 1D Euler-Navier-Stokes system by using the standard continuity argument for small $H^{1}$ data while the second order derivative can be large. Then we derive the optimal time decay rate to the equilibrium state $(\rho_*, 0, n_*, 0)$. Compared with multi-dimensional case, it is much hard to get time decay rate by direct spectrum method due to a slower convergence rate of the fundamental solution in 1D case. To overcome this main difficulty, we need to first carry out time-weighted energy estimates for higher order derivatives, and based on these time-weighted estimates, we can close a priori assumptions and get the optimal time decay rate by spectrum analysis method. Moreover, due to non-conserved form and insufficient decay rate of the coupled drag force terms between the two-phase flows, we essentially need to use momentum variables $(m= \rho u, M=n\omega)$, not velocity variables $(u, \omega)$ in the spectrum analysis, to fully cancel out those non-conserved and insufficiently decay drag force terms.

In the era of globalization and internetization, a growing number of manufacturing enterprises in Chongqing plan to “go global”. The enterprise webpage, the online portal of the enterprise, plays an important role. At present, domestic translators’ understanding of webpage translation is still limited to text translation due to the influence of traditional translation ideas, resulting in poor readability and usability of English webpages of Chongqing manufacturing enterprises. Therefore, this paper compares the English webpages of local manufacturing enterprises in Chongqing with those of well-known foreign manufacturing enterprises. From the perspective of technical communication, taking the About Us as an example, this paper explores the relationship between technical communication and the English webpages of manufacturing enterprises, the presentation of webpage text, the translation of text content and the standard of the logical structure of the text, in order to help translators more accurately understand the task and the process of webpage technical translation.

Recently, a new "intersection" method for multi-objective optimization was developed in the points of view set theory and probability theory, which introduces a new idea of favorable probability to reflect the favorable degree of the utility of performance indicator in multi-objective optimization, and the product of all partial favorable probabilities of entire utilities of performance indicators makes the overall / total favorable probability of the candidate. Here, in this paper, the new "intersection" algorithm for multi-objective optimization is combined effectively with response surface methodology (RSM) by taking each response as one objective, which transfers the multi-response optimization problem into a single response one with the help of the overall / total favorable probability of each scheme. The overall / total favorable probability is the uniquely decisive index of the scheme in the optimization. Applications of the hybrid approach with two examples in material technology are given, proper predictions are obtained.

Abstract

The ongoing oceanic oxygen loss will have a profound impact on the distribution and density of life on Earth. However, drivers of the initiation and termination of global oceanic deoxygenation are poorly understood. Here we present a thallium isotope record that reveals three rapid (50 k.y.) global deoxygenation intervals during the mid-Cretaceous that postdate massive volcanism by at least 1 m.y. New strontium isotope data reveal gradually enhanced continental weathering under a warmer climate following volcanism. However, global deoxygenation occurred only under the combined influences of a long-term increase in weathering rates in a warmer climate and short-term orbital modulation that led to atmospheric-circulation reorganization. Interactions of multiple drivers are consistent with the abrupt termination of each deoxygenation interval. Dynamic oxygenation responses in the mid-Cretaceous highlight the role of these processes for understanding the consequences and potential termination of the current oceanic deoxygenation.

Abstract

Aim: A novel design for non-reversible as well as reversible parity generator and detector in Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) technology is presented in this research article. Parity generator and detector circuits are reliable error-checking components of a nano-communication system. Objective: The main focus of this research is to design an ultra-low-power fault-tolerant reversible gate implementation of the parity logic function in QCA. An efficient QCA design layout with minimal area, less latency and the least energy dissipation is desired. Methods: The proposed designs are developed using Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) technology. The circuits are optimized using majority gate reduction and clock zone reduction techniques. Also, the cell-cell interaction technique is employed to further optimize the QCA circuit. To increase the fault tolerance and ultra-low power operation, reversible QCA circuits are designed using cascaded Feynman gates. Results Conclusion: The efficiency of the parity generator and detector is calculated to be more than 25% compared to existing QCA layouts. It is demonstrated in this paper that the proposed circuits perform exceptionally well on every design parameter. The design parameters under consideration are cell count, cell area, complexity, crossover count, latency and energy dissipation. Conclusion: Using reversible logic, a fault-tolerant and defect-sensitive circuit are developed for parity generation and detection.

Abstract

Deep neural networks (DNNs) have been widely used in many Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). However, it is still challenging work to deploy DNNs in real-time systems. In particular, the execution time of DNN inference must be predictable, s.t. it could be known whether the run-time inference can complete within a required timing constraint. Moreover, the timing constraints may change dynamically with the run-time environment in many embedded applications, such as autonomous cars. A possible way to meet such dynamic real-time requirements is to execute different sub-networks of a DNN at run-time. However, improper construction of sub-networks may not only introduce unpredictable inference time, s.t. the real-timing constraints could be violated unexpectedly, but also has poor compatibility with the well-optimized machine learning framework (e.g., TensorFlow). In this paper, we study the predictability when executing different sub-networks of a DNN. In particular, we present a feature-wise run-time adaptation framework for DNN inference, which is implemented and validated on NVIDIA Jetson TX2 and Nano with TensorFlow. The experimental results show that our method can achieve predictable inference time in comparison with the state-of-the-art methods.

Abstract

Leakage of long-term secrets is a major concern when cryptographic schemes are implemented on devices with weak protection capability, especially for resource-constrained IoT devices. Forward secrecy is a means to minimize the damage when such an event takes place. For pub-/sub-based IoT systems, several end-to-end (from publisher to subscriber) encrypted message transmission schemes have been proposed to tackle the confidentiality problems brought by malicious message brokers. But none of them provide forward secrecy. This article presents FSEE, a forward secure end-to-end encrypted message transmission system for pub-/sub-based IoT. To support FSEE, we design a novel group key exchange protocol BA-GKE, which relies on a semi-trusted key exchange server to provide forward secrecy and support asynchronous communication between group members. We prove its forward secrecy by ProVerif. The core idea of FSEE is to establish a forward secure symmetric key per device using BA-GKE asynchronously, and this device-specific key is shared with the device and its authorized subscribers for encrypting messages securely. By adding a semi-trusted key exchange server to realize BA-GKE in the current IoT architecture, FSEE does not need to change the existing message broker and could be deployed incrementally. The experimental results show that FSEE has comparable performance to existing prominent research and provides higher security.

One new epimer pair of long-chain polyenes penicilqueis E (1) and F (2), and one new long-chain polyene pinophol G (3), along with one known compound (4), were obtained from EtOAc extract of the mangrove-derived fungus Penicillium herquei JX4. Their structures were elucidated by detailed analysis of comprehensive spectroscopic data. The inhibitory activities of all compounds against the nitric oxide (NO) production induced by lipopolysaccharide in mouse macrophage RAW 264.7 cells in vitro were evaluated.

Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to elaborate on DMO as one of the main themes in tourism studies and to provide a theoretical framework for measuring its performance. Measuring DMO’s performance refers to examining to what extent an area can be industrialized into a tourist spot. One of the conditions for the industrialization of tourist spot lies in its continuity. However, many of the existing DMO studies are limited to descriptions of the success of events, which are presumptuous when claiming such short-term cases as equivalent to the achievement of DMO. Instead, this paper focuses on the theoretical analysis of DMO and thus serves as a preparatory work for empirical research as well.We developed a model for matching DMO strategy formulation and its organizational structure to measure DMO performances. That is, DMO can determine two types of strategies according to the situations in which it is placed, and the appropriate organizational structure differs depending on the strategy adopted. Abstract

International audience; We discuss JUNO sensitivity to the annihilation of MeV dark matter in the galactic halo via detecting inverse beta decay reactions of electron anti-neutrinos resulting from the annihilation. We study possible backgrounds to the signature, including the reactor neutrinos, diffuse supernova neutrino background, charged- and neutral-current interactions of atmospheric neutrinos, backgrounds from muon-induced fast neutrons and cosmogenic isotopes. A fiducial volume cut, as well as the pulse shape discrimination and the muon veto are applied to suppress the above backgrounds. It is shown that JUNO sensitivity to the thermally averaged dark matter annihilation rate in 10 years of exposure would be significantly better than the present-day best limit set by Super-Kamiokande and would be comparable to that expected by Hyper-Kamiokande.
