The nonlinear propagation of different types of DANW acoustic dust nonlinear waves has been investigated in a magnetized dusty plasma consisting of negatively charged dust particles, Maxwellian electrons, and ions. Application of the standard reductive perturbation theory is used to derive the corresponding three-dimensional nonlinear a complex Ginzburg–Landau (3D-CGLE) equation which governs the dynamics of the dust-acoustic wave packets. The stationary analytical solutions of the CGLE are numerically analysed where the effect of the physical parameters of the dusty plasma model on the wave’s propagation is taken into account. It has been found that there can be a relationship between the appearance of soliton waves and electromagnetic waves, as well as between shock-like waves and periodic travelling waves. Expression of the importance of these findings is the cornerstone of explaining the true relationship between the propagation of nonlinear waves in the physics of space, for example, the Earth’s magnetic field.

The origin of the solitary waves in the Earth's magnetosphere and the solar wind, particularly close to the magnetic reconnection regions, is still an open question. For that purpose, we used the fluid model to obtain the mechanism behind the formation of solitary waves in space plasmas with a variety of components. Our findings reveal that at the separatrix of the magnetic reconnection in the Earth's magnetotail, the counter-ejected electron beam leads to a broadening of the pulse amplitude. While increasing the electron beam positive velocity causes a bit increase in the soliton amplitude. Moreover, we observed that the soliton profile is very sensitive to the plasma parameters like density and temperature. The calculated electric field using the current model and the measured electric field in the Earth's magnetosphere and solar wind is highlighted.

Workplace-related allergen exposure is an important risk factor for the development of occupational allergy and asthma. New allergen specific semi-quantitative tests, Lateral Flow Immuno Assays (LFIAs), have been developed for the detection of occupational allergen exposure directly at the workplaces. These tests are quick and simple to perform, the results are visible within minutes and easily interpretable. In this article, the principle of LFIA is described and the practical application of the immunoassays for mouse and rat urinary allergens in a laboratory animal facility is presented. The results show that the sensitivity of the rapid tests is sufficient for the detection of small amounts of allergen in extracts from deposited dust. Thus they can help to reveal the allergen sources and to develop preventive and interventional measures. Furthermore, the LFIAs are especially suited for the direct on-site demonstration of allergen contaminations to staff members and, therefore, useful in occupational hygiene practice. This method is also a feasible screening system before starting extensive measurements of airborne allergens.
