Visible light optical coherence tomography (VIS-OCT) is an emerging imaging modality that uses shorter wavelength in visible light range than conventional near infrared (NIR) light. It provides one-micron level axial resolution to improve image contrast to better separate stratified retinal layers, as well as provides microvascular oximetry with spatio-spectral analysis. However, due to the practical limitation of laser safety and comfort, the permissible illumination power is much lower than NIR OCT which can be challenging to obtain high quality VIS-OCT images and subsequent image analysis particularly in pathological eyes. Therefore, improving VIS-OCT image quality by denoising is an essential step in the overall workflow in VIS-OCT clinical applications. In this paper, we provide the first VIS-OCT retinal image dataset from normal eyes, including retinal layer annotation and noisy-clean image pairs. We propose an efficient co-learning deep learning framework for noisy-input segmentation embedded with a self-supervised denoising process. The same neural network performed both denoising and segmentation tasks simultaneously. The task performance is benchmarked qualitatively and quantitatively. The significant improvement of segmentation (2% higher Dice coefficient compared to segmentation-only process) for certain layers is observed when available annotation drops to 25%, indicating a potential angle for annotation-efficient training.

Communication in poor network environment is always a difficult problem, since troubles such as bit errors and packet loss may often occur. It is generally believed that it is impossible to transmit data both accurately and efficiently in this case. However, this paper provides a method to transmit data efficiently on the line where bit error may occur by utilizing Hamming code principle. If the sender adds a small amount of redundant data to the data to be sent, the receiver can self-correct them when an error is detected. This approach takes advantage of the value of packets with errors, which should have been discarded, reduce the number of re-transmissions and improve transmission efficiency. Based on this method, this paper designs a custom protocol which works in the data link layer and network layer. Finally, this paper verifies the protocol through mathematical simulation.

Human monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) that target the spike glycoprotein of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) offer a promising approach for the prevention and treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Given suboptimal global vaccination rates, waning immunity in vaccinated individuals, and the emergence of SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern, the use of mAbs for COVID-19 prevention may increase and may need to be administered together with vaccines in certain settings. However, it is unknown whether administration of mAbs will affect the immunogenicity of SARS-CoV-2 vaccines. Using an adenovirus vector–based SARS-CoV-2 vaccine, we show that simultaneous administration of the vaccine with SARS-CoV-2 mAbs does not diminish vaccine-induced humoral or cellular immunity in cynomolgus macaques. These results suggest that SARS-CoV-2 mAbs and viral vector-based SARS-CoV-2 vaccines can be administered together without loss of potency of either product. Additional studies will be required to evaluate coadministration of mAbs with other vaccine platforms.

Emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants with the potential to escape binding and neutralizing antibody responses pose a threat to vaccine efficacy. We recently reported expansion of broadly neutralizing activity of vaccine-elicited antibodies in humans 8 months following a single immunization with Ad26.COV2.S. Here, we assessed the 15-month durability of antibody responses and their neutralizing capacity to B.1.617.2 (delta) and B.1.351 (beta) variants following a single immunization of Ad26.COV2.S in mice. We report the persistence of binding and neutralizing antibody titers following immunization with a concomitant increase in neutralizing antibody breadth to delta and beta variants over time. Evaluation of bone marrow and spleen at 15 months postimmunization revealed that Ad26.COV2.S-immunized mice tissues contained spike-specific antibody-secreting cells. We conclude that immunization with Ad26.COV2.S elicits a robust immune response against SARS-CoV-2 spike, which expands over time to neutralize delta and beta variants more robustly, and seeds bone marrow and spleen with long-lived spike-specific antibody-secreting cells. These data extend previous findings in humans and support the use of a mouse model as a potential tool to further explore the dynamics of the humoral immune response following vaccination with Ad26.COV2.S.

Neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) followed by radical surgical hysterectomy and pelvic lymph node dissection is considered an effective method to treat patients with bulky stage IB-IIA cervical cancer, but not all patients benefit from NACT. Apoptotic proteins play important roles in the progression of chemotherapy, and second mitochondria-derived activator of caspase (Smac) may have a cooperative relationship with Omi/HtrA2, leading to carcinogenesis and chemotherapy resistance. Chemosensitivity is an important prognostic factor for cervical cancer patients. The aim of this study was to evaluate the significance of Smac, survivin, X-linked inhibitor-of-apoptosis protein (XIAP), and Omi/HtrA2 expression in predicting the response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy and the prognostic significance of te expression of these proteins in cervical cancer patients. Our findings showed that low expression levels of survivin and high expression levels of Omi/HtrA2 in chemotherapy-responsive cervical carcinoma patients significantly increased chemosensitivity.

4D printing thermoplastic technology has become a common method for fabricating shape-changing interfaces, however, the fully automated 3D printing method also limits user's creative participation in the fabrication process. We present a 4D Doodling method which allow users to create deformable daily items in a free-style way using a 3D printing pen. In the doodling experiment, we summarized the experience of manual printing and provided a practical method to support the user's creation, which can be a way to increase humanity for 4D printing technology.

The shallow sea underwater acoustic network based on FH-CDMA technology was designed and implemented. The frequency hopping system of an underwater acoustic communication network based in FSK modulation was designed through the analysis of the basic principles of FH-CDMA system and the model of shallow sea underwater acoustic channel. The designed system was based on the principles of software radio and consisted of an embedded processor and an FPGA. Among them, the FPGA module was mainly used to implement functions such as signal filtering, amplitude equalization, modulation and demodulation, synchronization, frequency hopping and de-hopping, etc.; the embedded CPU module was mainly used to implement control functions. Meanwhile, the system was tested in the pool; in addition, the statistical measures of average throughput, end-to-end delay, and energy loss were simulated. The results have shown that the system is relatively stable during operation; besides, given the condition of weak signals, it can accurately and quickly capture the synchronization signals and finally receive the data. Thus, the design of the system is reasonable and can improve the difficulty of signal reception during underwater acoustic communication.

In order to investigate the wireless resource scheduling of 5G mobile communication system, the game model with cost factor is introduced, and the Sparse Code Multiple Access (SCMA) power allocation algorithm based on game theory is proposed with power as the income function. At the same time, the game theory-based scheme and average distribution scheme proposed is simulated and compared. Similarly, the simulation of the OFDMA system is carried out analogously to the two power allocation schemes. The results show that the game theory-based SCMA power allocation scheme proposed here can further improve the system average sum rate. It can be seen that in the upcoming 5G era, the downlink resource allocation scheme of the SCMA system based on game theory can solve the wireless resource scheduling problem of the 5G mobile communication system.

Through the control operation of the camera host, the image captured by the camera is collected and sorted, and the image is input, stored and replayed through specific processing mode. Moreover, video intelligent analysis technology can greatly improve the efficiency of security monitoring and realize the unattended automatic security monitoring system. Gradually moving towards digital network development, the efficiency has been greatly improved and the security has been greatly enhanced. As an indispensable part of digital security system, wireless video transmission technology has become a powerful tool for modern management.

The study focused on the establishment of analysis method for methane determination by gas chromatography. Methane was detected by hydrogen flame ionization detector, and the quantitative relationship was determined by working curve of y=2041.2x+2187 with correlation coefficient of 0.9979. The relative standard deviation of 2.60-6.33% and the recovery rate of 96.36%~105.89% were obtained during the parallel determination of standard gas. This method was not quite suitable for biogas content analysis because methane content in biogas would be over the measurement range in this method.
