Boreal summer extratropical intraseasonal oscillation (EISO) is crucial in modulating regional subseasonal variation and particularly causing extreme meteorological events, but it has yet to be well clarified and operationally monitored. This study first objectively sorts out three dominant EISOs trapped along two extratropical westerly jet streams over Eurasia, and then proposes the corresponding real-time metrics. The three dominant EISOs are (i) an 8–25-day eastward-propagating wave along the subtropical westerly jet (EISO-SJE) initiating at the exit of the North America–North Atlantic jet and strengthening over the Black Sea–Caspian Sea–arid central Asia region; (ii) a 10–30-day eastward-traveling wave along the polar front jet (EISO-PJE), starting near Scandinavia and enhancing from the East European Plain to the West Siberian Plain and then decaying over the Okhotsk region; (iii) a 10–40-day westward-migrating wave along the polar front jet (EISO-PJW), which enhances near the Ural Mountains and weakens over Scandinavia. The real-time metrics then, following the three EISOs, have been constructed, and they are able to capture the spatiotemporal features of three EISOs in application. Moreover, the close linkages between these EISOs and the regional extremes/the blocking occurrence have been clearly demonstrated, confirming the importance of real-time EISO metrics. Together with tropical intraseasonal oscillation, this study provides the subseasonal-to-seasonal (S2S) community with a well-portrayed unified picture of extratropical intraseasonal waves and the real-time metrics for monitoring boreal summer intraseasonal signals over Eurasia and facilitate subseasonal predictions. Significance Statement Boreal summer extratropical intraseasonal oscillation (EISO) has drawn increasing attention owing to its importance in triggering extreme weather events and affecting regional subseasonal prediction. However, despite the urgent need of the subseasonal-to-seasonal (S2S) community, a comprehensive delineation of EISO diversity and real-time EISO monitoring remain the gap of knowledge. This study objectively sorts out and comprehensively clarifies three dominant EISOs trapped along two extratropical westerly jet streams over Eurasia. More importantly, the well-portrayed real-time EISO metrics are constructed based on three EISOs, which are applicable for operational real-time monitoring, subseasonal prediction, and model evaluation. This study stimulates an extratropical focus in the S2S community as a complementary component in addition to monitoring the MJO’s teleconnection to the mid- to high latitudes.

In recent years, the growth rate of China’s real industry has slowed down while the financial industry has entered a phase of rapid development. Driven by the profit-seeking motive of capital, real enterprises tend to carry out financial investments, and the degree of corporate financialization has been rising. This paper selects A-share listed enterprises in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2009 to 2020 as research samples to study the impact of corporate financialization on technological innovation and the mediating effect of financing constraints from the perspective of financial asset holding. The study found that the financialization of enterprises’ crowding out effect on technological innovation has led to the phenomenon of “turning from real to virtual”. We also found that the crowding-out effect had experienced lag. This conclusion still held when we controlled for endogeneity. The heterogeneity analysis showed that the financialization of non-state-owned enterprises had an excessive inhibitory effect on technological innovation, and the financialization of enterprises in eastern China has had a remarkable inhibitory effect on technological innovation. The influence mechanism analysis showed how financing constraints played a crucial mediating role in corporate financialization inhibiting technological innovation, and corporate financialization has inhibited technological innovation by exacerbating financing constraints. Based on this research, we propose targeted suggestions to prevent the excessive financialization of enterprises on both government and enterprise levels.

For the current problem of large number of parameters and large computation of the target detection network, the lightness improvement is carried out on the basis of yolov5s, and the dynamic convolution of OD is introduced to compensate for the accuracy degradation caused by the lightness, and the Map0.5 of the improved Yolov5s- EfficientNetV2-OD network reaches 82.8 through comparison experiments, and the FPS is 59 frames per second. The experiment proves that the network maintains the detection accuracy and detection speed of the network for small targets on the basis of light weighting. It is suitable for deployment on vehicle-mounted devices.

The basic functions of keratinocyte are crucial steps during skin wound healing. KCNQ1OT1 long noncoding RNA was found to accelerate the migration and proliferation of keratinocyte in psoriasis. Here, we elucidated the action and mechanism of KCNQ1OT1 in skin wound healing.Expression levels of genes and proteins were evaluated by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) and western blotting. Cell migration was assessed by using scratch and transwell assays. The interaction between miR-200b-3p and KCNQ1OT1 or SERP1 (Stress Associated Endoplasmic Reticulum Protein 1) was confirmed by bioinformatics analysis, dual-luciferase reporter assay, RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) assay and pull-down assay.KCNQ1OT1 had increased significantly in wound edge 1 day and 7 day after injury. Functionally, overexpression of KCNQ1OT1 promoted keratinocyte migration. Mechanistically, KCNQ1OT1/miR-200b-3p/SERP1 constituted a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network in keratinocytes. A series of rescue experiments showed that miR-200b-3p up-regulation in keratinocytes attenuated the pro-migration action of KCNQ1OT1 in cells. Moreover, knockdown of miR-200b-3p could promote keratinocyte migration, which was abolished by SERP1 silencing. KCNQ1OT1 competitively sponged for miR-200b-3p to elevate the expression of its target SERP1.KCNQ1OT1 could promote keratinocyte migration by miR-200b-3p/SERP1 axis, suggesting that KCNQ1OT1 might play a crucial role in skin wound healing.

Objective: Clinical outcome of spinal cavernous malformation (SCM) varies because of its unclear natural history and reliable prognostic prediction model for SCM patients is limited. The aim of the present study was to investigate potential factors that predict one year neurological status in postoperative patients with SCM.Methods: This was a multicenter prospective observational study in consecutive patients with SCMs. SCMs treated microsurgically between January 2015 and January 2021 were included. Outcome was defined as Frankel Scale (ranging from A to E) at one year after operation. Multivariable analyses were used to construct the best predictive model for patient outcomes.Results: We identified 268 eligible SCM patients. Neurological outcome had worsened from preoperative baseline in 51 patients (19.0%) at one year. In the multivariable logistic regression, the best predictive model for unfavorable outcome included symptom duration ≥ 26 moths (95% CI: 2.80-16.96, P < 0.001), size ≤5 mm (95% CI: 1.43-13.50, P = 0.010), complete intramedullary (95% CI: 1.69-8.14, P = 0.001), subarachnoid hemorrhage (95% CI: 2.92-12.57, P < 0.001), Frankel Grade B (95% CI: 1.91-40.93, P = 0.005) and Frankel Grade C (95% CI: 1.12-14.54, P = 0.033).Conclusions: Admission size of the lesion, morphology, symptom duration, Frankel Grade and the presence of subarachnoid hemorrhage were strong outcome predictors regarding prognostication of neurological outcome in postoperative patients with SCMs. A decision to surgically remove a symptomatic SCM should be justified by systematic analysis of all factors potentially affecting outcome.

Background The diagnostic effectiveness of traditional imaging techniques is insufficient to assess the response of lymph nodes (LNs) to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC), especially for pathological complete response (pCR). A radiomics model based on computed tomography (CT) could be helpful. Patients and Methods Prospective consecutive breast cancer patients with positive axillary LNs initially were enrolled, who received NAC prior to surgery. Chest contrast-enhanced thin-slice CT scan was performed both before and after the NAC (recorded as the first and the second CT respectively), and on both of them, the target metastatic axillary LN was identified and demarcated layer by layer. Using pyradiomics-based software that was independently created, radiomics features were retrieved. A pairwise machine learning workflow based on Sklearn (https://scikit-learn.org/) and FeAture Explorer was created to increase diagnostic effectiveness. An effective pairwise auto encoder model was developed by the improvement of data normalization, dimensionality reduction, and features screening scheme as well as the comparison of the prediction effectiveness of the various classifiers, Results A total of 138 patients were enrolled, and 77 (58.7%) in the overall group achieved pCR of LN after NAC. Nine radiomics features were finally chosen for modeling. The AUCs of the training group, validation group, and test group were 0.944 (0.919-0.965), 0.962 (0.937-0.985), and 1.000 (1.000-1.000), respectively, and the corresponding accuracies were 0.891, 0.912, and 1.000. Conclusion The pCR of axillary LNs in breast cancer following NAC can be precisely predicted using thin-sliced enhanced chest CT-based radiomics.

Lewis base molecules that bind undercoordinated lead atoms at interfaces and grain boundaries (GBs) are known to enhance the durability of metal halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Using density functional theory calculations, we found that phosphine-containing molecules have the strongest binding energy among members of a library of Lewis base molecules studied herein. Experimentally, we found that the best inverted PSC treated with 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane (DPPP), a diphosphine Lewis base that passivates, binds, and bridges interfaces and GBs, retained a power conversion efficiency (PCE) slightly higher than its initial PCE of ~23% after continuous operation under simulated AM1.5 illumination at the maximum power point and at ~40°C for >3500 hours. DPPP-treated devices showed a similar increase in PCE after being kept under open-circuit conditions at 85°C for >1500 hours.

Solid-state fans (SSFs) have distinct advantages over traditional cooling fans in the thermal management of high-power electronics. In this work, a magnetic-field-enhanced SSF is proposed, and the physical model of negative corona discharge superimposed by an electromagnetic field is established. A computational model is used to calculate and analyze the effect of the magnetic field on the ionic wind distribution. The magnetic flux density and permanent magnet position distribution in the SSF are optimized experimentally, and the optimized SSF is applied to LED chip cooling. The findings show that adding a magnetic field encourages electrons to collide with neutral gas molecules and enhances the driving force of charged particles. The ionic wind velocity and mean driving force at the SSF's outlet will grow as magnetic flux density rises, and the ionic wind flow distribution will show apparent divergence. When the permanent magnet spacing is 15 mm, the highest ionic wind velocity is 2.82 m/s, and the mean driving force of SSF increases by 30.2%. The magnetic-field-enhanced SSF has a better LED-chip cooling effect, the maximum junction temperature drop is 11.6°C, and the cooling efficiency is higher. This research introduces a novel way of improving the cooling of electronics.

However, there is limited information about encountered difficulties in dealing with MH among Chinese anesthesiologists. The purpose of the study was to explore the current competency and encountered difficulties in the management of MH, as a key first step for assessing the potential user needs to develop the MH-NRES.Methods: The hospitals of different levels in different provinces across China were invited to participate in an online survey from November to December 2021. Anesthesiologists completed the online questionnaire containing four sections including demographic information, knowledge, competency, and continuing education about MH.Results: A total of 1357 valid questionnaires were completed from anesthesiologists, most respondents (66.7%, n = 905) correctly answered the MH trigger drugs included volatile anesthetics and succinylcholine. However, most respondents (77.0%, n = 1045) did not know that the recommended initial dose of domestic dantrolene. Up to 83.9% (n = 1138) stated that their hospitals did not store dantrolene for MH emergency. More than half of respondents thought that it would take more than one hour to obtain dantrolene in emergency. Less work experiences, lower levels of hospital and educations and professional titles were associated with lower competency scores in managing MH. Only 31.0% (n = 936) reported that their hospital had ever conducted MH continuing education curricula. Scenario simulation is the training method that most interests the participants (79.0%, n = 1072) but a whopping 46.9% (n = 637) never received simulation.Conclusion: The study indicated that difficulty in obtaining dantrolene, lack of competency in management of MH, difficulty in obtaining professional help, and poor teamwork were the main problems of most anesthesiologists in face of MH.Keywords: malignant hyperthermia, questionnaire, competency, dantrolene, education

Scientific and technological innovation and human capital savings are important ways to promote the high-quality development of China's economy. On this basis, using the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2009 to 2017, this paper empathically tests the impact of university research activities on high-quality growth of China's economy, and explores the influence mechanism from two dimensions of talent cultivation and achievement transformation. Based on the spatial perspective, the regional heterogeneity of these influences is analyzed. This paper finds that: First, research and development activities in universities effectively boost the high-quality development of China's economy. Secend, the stimulating effect of university research and development on economic growth. On the one hand, through the talent training function of scientific research activities, it enriches the accumulation of human capital and drives the economic development; On the other hand, constrained by the predicament of scientific research achievement transformation, the stimulating effect of university scientific research activities on economic growth will be limited to a certain extent. Third, there are significant regional differences in the promoting effect of university research activities on high-quality economic development, and this difference may come from the spatial spillover effect of university research activities. This study has important enlightening significance to understand the relationship between university scientific research activities and high- quality economic development.

Pulsar wind nebula (PWN) HESS J1825-137 is one of the largest and brightest gamma-ray sources in Milky Way. It was found that the morphology of the nebula strongly depends on energy and the photon spectrum varies obviously with distance from the pulsar in the >0.1 TeV energy band. In the frame of a spatially-dependent particle transport model, we investigate the TeV gamma-ray observed features of HESS J1825-137 by using the Markov chain Monte Carlo method. Our results are as follows: (i) the observed features can be reasonably explained by the competition between the transport (advection and diffusion) and energy cooling losses (adiabatic, synchrotron, and inverse Compton) of the high energy electrons, and that a parameter ξ ≡ τp/τC is introduced to describe this competition, which is the function of electron energy and position within the nebula, where τp and τC are total transport and energy cooling timescales, respectively; (ii) for the high energy electrons (Ee > 0.1 TeV) within the nebula, the particle diffusion dominates over its advection, and the radiative cooling mostly dominates over adiabatic cooling; and (iii) the change of the radial extent with photon energy Eγ can be expressed as $R\propto E^{-\beta }_\gamma$, where the index β is a function of Eγ and the Klein−Nishina effect has a very important role for the variation of β with Eγ. From the modelling results, the initial rotation period, braking index, and age of the pulsar are predicted to be 12.16 ms, 1.79, and 44 kyr, respectively.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are recognized as latent diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic biomarkers for endometrial carcinoma (EC). We attempted to discuss function and mechanism of miR-125b-5p in EC cell progression. This study manifested a decreased miR-125b-5p level and an increased mitochondrial fission process 1 (MTFP1) level in EC, and there was an inverse correlation between them. Moreover, in vitro assays were performed. The results denoted that miR-125b-5p could target a putative binding site on MTFP1 3'UTR to reduce MTFP1 expression, thereby repressing cell malignant behaviors. Besides, the promoting impact of MTFP1 overexpression on malignant phenotypes of EC cells could be restored by miR-125b-5p up-regulation. Considering, our investigation exhibited that miR-125b-5p curbed EC cell malignant phenotypes through targeting MTFP1. This study generates a fresh functional mechanism for EC occurrence and progression, which also lays the groundwork for clinical therapies.
