RFID as an important component technology of IoT faces important security risks while being rapidly applied, among which the discovery of unauthorized readers in space is crucial. There are some researches proposed the unauthorized reader detection algorithm based on commercial off the shell(COTS) devices, but these detection algorithms are often easily affected by moving objects blocking interference in space, causing false alarms. Object detection aims to localize and classify the objects in a given image, and these two tasks are sensitive to different object regions. Therefore, some locations predict high-quality bounding boxes but low classification scores, and some locations are quite the opposite. A misalignment exists between the two tasks, and their features are spatially entangled. In order to solve the misalignment problem, we propose a plug-in Spatial-disentangled and Task-aligned operator (SALT). By predicting two task-aware point sets that are located in each task's sensitive regions, SALT can reassign features from those regions and align them to the corresponding anchor point. Therefore, features for the two tasks are spatially aligned and disentangled. To minimize the difference between the two regression stages, we propose a Self-distillation regression (SDR) loss that can transfer knowledge from the refined regression results to the coarse regression results. On the basis of SALT and SDR loss, we propose SALT-Net, which explicitly exploits task-aligned point-set features for accurate detection results. Extensive experiments on the MS-COCO dataset show that our proposed methods can consistently boost different state-of-the-art dense detectors by $\sim$2 AP. Notably, SALT-Net with Res2Net-101-DCN backbone achieves 53.8 AP on the MS-COCO test-dev.

Similar to the mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) also have pluripotent differentiation characteristic and may be more ideal for tissue regeneration, especially in tooth regeneration engineering. However, bacterial infection may be a powerful obstacle. Berberine (BBR), known with antibacterial effects, was recently found to play functions in bone formation through promoting osteogenic differentiation from pluripotent stem cells. However, whether BBR also function in DPSCs osteogenic differentiation has not yet been reported. Primary DPSCs were isolated from dental pulp tissues extracted from human impacted mandibular third molars, and identified by flow cytometry for cell surface antigen molecules. A dexamethasone osteogenic medium was used to induce DPSCs osteogenic differentiation. BBR (1 μM and 5 μM) was pre-added to into medium, and then cell proliferation, spheroid formation and osteogenic differentiation capacities of DPSCs were analyzed, as well as the underlying molecules modulation mechanism. Flow cytometry identified that CD44, CD90, CD81 and CD105 positively expressed in the isolated hDPSCs, with CD34 and CD45 negetively expressed. BBR enhanced the cell proliferation of hDPSCs in a dose-dependent pattern, and promoted dexamethasone-induced osteogenic differentiation via enhancing Runx2 transcription factor activity followed by upregulating osteogenesis markers expression, whereas the adipogenic differentiation of hDPSCs was suppressed dramatically by BBR. The EGFR and MAPK pathways were activated by BBR, and inhibitors for these pathways significantly suppressed the osteogenic differentiation promotion of BBR. These results have revealed a novel mechanism that berberine might promote hDPSCs osteogenic differentiation through activating EGFR-MAPK-Runx2 signaling pathways.

Object detection can be regarded as a pixel clustering task, and its boundary is determined by four extreme points (leftmost, top, rightmost, and bottom). However, most studies focus on the center or corner points of the object, which are actually conditional results of the extreme points. In this paper, we present an Extreme-Point-Prediction- Based object detector (EPP-Net), which directly regresses the relative displacement vector between each pixel and the four extreme points. We also propose a new metric to measure the similarity between two groups of extreme points, namely, Extreme Intersection over Union (EIoU), and incorporate this EIoU as a new regression loss. Moreover, we propose a novel branch to predict the EIoU between the ground-truth and the prediction results, and take it as the localization confidence to filter out poor detection results. On the MS-COCO dataset, our method achieves an average precision (AP) of 44.0% with ResNet-50 and an AP of 50.3% with ResNeXt-101-DCN. The proposed EPP-Net provides a new method to detect objects and outperforms state-of-the-art anchor-free detectors.

Objective This study is to investigate the effect and underlying mechanisms of berberine (BBR) on the proliferation and inflammatory levels of lipopolysaccharide induced human dental pulp fibroblast (LPS-HDPF). Methods Different concentrations of LPS were used to induce inflammatory response of HDPF. Cell proliferation was observed in BBR treated HDPF after transfection of miR-21 mimic, miR-21 inhibitor or sh-kBTBD7 plasmids and their negative controls. ELISA was employed to detect the expressions of inflammation related cytokines. Real-time quantitative RT-PCR was applied to estimate the expressions of miR-21 and KBTBD7. KBTBD7 expression was detected by Immunocytochemistry. Western blot analysis showed the protein levels of KBTBD7, Phospho-IKKα/β, IKKβ, Phospho-NF-κB p65, NF-κB p65, and IκBα. Luciferase reporter gene assay was used to determine the interaction between miR-21 and KBTBD7. Results LPS could promote inflammatory response in HDPF. Down-regulated miR-21 and up-regulated KBTBD7 were found in LPS-HDPF. BBR (25 uM) treatment in LPS-HDPF could ameliorate cell inflammatory response, presented by reduced expressions of IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α, as well as enhanced cell proliferation and miR-21 expression. Moreover, miR-21 negatively targets KBTBD7. Over-expression of miR-21 or silencing of KBTBD7 could enhance the protective role of BBR on LPS-HDPF by inhibiting inflammatory response and promoting cell proliferation. Transfection of miR-21 overexpression or KBTBD7 silencing in BBR treated LPS-HDPF could inhibit activation of NF-κB signal pathway. Conclusion Evidence in this study suggested that BBR mediates LPS induced inflammation in HDPF via miR-21/KBTBD7 axis to regulate NF-κB signal pathway, which may provide theoretical basis for BBR in prevention of pulpitis.

Objective To scrutinize the function of long non-coding RNA TUG1 on the osteogenic differentiation of human periodontal ligament stem cells in periodontitis and its specific mechanism. Methods Human periodontal ligament stem cells were extracted from human periodontium, followed by induction of osteogenic differentiation with osteogenic medium. Knockdown or overexpression of TUG1, microRNA-222-3p or Smad2/7 were performed in human periodontal ligament stem cells to observe their effect on expressions of osteogenic differentiation markers (Runx2, ALP, and OCN), and on calcium nodule formation by Alizarin red staining. Starbase software was utilized for prediction of the binding sites of TUG1 and microRNA-222-3p in addition to microRNA-222-3p and Smad2/7. Then dual-luciferase reporter gene assay was adopted to inspect the binding relationships between microRNA-222-3p and TUG1 or Smad2/7. Results Highly expressed TUG1 and lowly expressed microRNA-222-3p were found in human periodontal ligament stem cells during osteogenic differentiation. After measuring the expression of Runx2, ALP, and OCN as well as the formation of calcium nodules, we discovered that TUG1 can facilitate osteogenic differentiation of human periodontal ligament stem cells, while microRNA-222-3p had a reverse effect. Subsequently, knockdown of TUG1 and Smad2/7 or overexpression of microRNA-222-3p inhibited the osteogenic differentiation of human periodontal ligament stem cells. MicroRNA-222-3p is a target gene of TUG1, while microRNA-222-3p can negatively regulate Smad2/7. Conclusion LncRNA TUG1 accelerates the osteogenic differentiation of human periodontal ligament stem cells by sponging microRNA-222-3p to regulate Smad2/7.

Vector control system is mainly on items management and positioning, it is essentially the management of RFID tag attached to items. For the problems of the data transmission security which is not guaranteed and relatively low transmission efficiency of the large data flow when tag data stream transfers from the data collection terminal to the upper business end for general RFID systems. This paper design an efficient and reliable data transfer mechanism. The mechanism uses data compression and encryption mechanisms to ensure the responsible transmission of vector control system of data collection RFID middleware to provide messaging services business for the upper end of the message bus ActiveMQ efficient and reliable transmission of data streams. Before transferring data, through the compressing of tag data to ensure the efficient transmission of data; when transmitting data, by introducing ECDH key agreement and the Trivium stream encryption in data transmission of data streaming of both sending and receiving sides of tag data to ensure safe and reliable transmission of messages. By comparative tests we find that transmission efficiency is significantly higher by the introduction of the transport mechanism comparing to the direct transmission of data.

The target detecting and recognizing are the key techniques in the intelligent weapon research. Aimed at the shortages of the higher uncertainty and the worse real-time of battlefield target identification system, the solution, that based on digital signal processor and some necessary devices and circuits are designed to accomplish the high speed target identification, is put forward.

In this paper, a new approach to acoustic signals process is described. Firstly, the wavelet transform and the more classical Fourier transform approach to the acoustic signal analyzing and processing is compared. Secondly, acoustic signals of tank, helicopter, truck and human etc. are analyzed. Finally, wavelet technology is used to analyze and extract the feature of acoustic signals. The results of analysis obtained in this way appear to be satisfactory.

Problem to real time detect existence of cell phones stay in power on state in a given area is a technology challenge because most time cell phones keep radio silence on a standby mode. This paper proposed two solutions, "virtual base station solution" and "ready beacon utilization solution" to solve this problem. Location updating registration of a cell phone entering into a new registration area is made use of to fulfill a lure technology and the problem of cell phones detection is settled perfectly.
