Leading $\Lambda$ (LL) production in $ep$ collisions at high energies is investigated using the color dipole formalism and taking into account the nonlinear QCD effects. In particular, the impact of the absorptive effects on the LL spectra are estimated considering the kinematical range that will be probed by the Electron Ion Collider (EIC) and by the Large Hadron electron Collider (LHeC). Our results indicate that the LL spectrum is strongly suppressed at small photon virtualities. These results suggest that absorptive effects are not negligible and should be taken into account in order to extract the kaon structure function from data on leading $\Lambda$ production., Comment: 9 pages, 5 figures. arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with arXiv:2011.09515

Exclusive vector meson photoproduction associated with a leading baryon ($B = n, \Delta^+, \Delta^0$) in $pp$ and $pA$ collisions at RHIC and LHC energies is investigated using the color dipole formalism and taking into account nonlinear effects in the QCD dynamics. In particular, we compute the cross sections for $\rho$, $\phi$ and $J/\Psi$ production together with a $\Delta$ and compare the predictions with those obtained for a leading neutron. Our results show that the $V + \Delta$ cross section is almost 30 % of the $V + n$ one. In this letter we complement previous studies on exclusive vector meson photoproduction in hadronic collisions presenting a comprehensive analysis of the $t$ - spectrum measured in exclusive $��$ and $J/��$ photoproduction in $pA$ collisions at the LHC. We compute the differential cross sections considering two phenomenological models for the gluon saturation effects and present predictions for $pPb$ and $pCa$ collisions. Moreover, we compare our predictions with the recent preliminary CMS data for the exclusive $��$ photoproduction. We demonstrate that the gluon saturation models are able to describe the CMS data at small - $t$. On the other hand, the models underestimate the few data point at large -- $t$. Our results indicate that future measurements of the large -- $t$ region can be useful to probe the presence or absence of a dip in the $t$ -- spectrum and discriminate between the different approaches to the gluon saturation effects., 6 pages, 4 figures

At forward rapidities and high energies we expect to probe the non-linear regime of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). One of the most promising observables to constrain the QCD dynamics in this regime is exclusive vector meson photoproduction (EVMP). We study the EVMP in association with a leading baryon (product of the proton dissociation) in photon-hadron interactions that take place in $pp$ and $p$Pb collisions at large impact parameters. We present the rapidity distributions for $\rho$ and $J/\psi$ photoproduction in association with a leading baryon (neutron and delta states) at LHC run 2 energies. Our results show that the $V + \Delta$ cross section is almost 30 % of the $V + n$ one. The future Electron - Ion ($eA$) Collider is expected to probe the high energy regime of the QCD dynamics, with the exclusive vector meson production cross section being one of the most promising observables. In this paper we complement previous studies of exclusive processes presenting a comprehensive analysis of diffractive $��$ production at small $x$. We compute the coherent and incoherent cross sections taking into account non-linear QCD dynamical effects and considering different models for the dipole - proton scattering amplitude and for the vector meson wave function. The dependence of these cross sections with the energy, photon virtuality, nuclear mass number and squared momentum transfer is analysed in detail. Moreover, we compare the non-linear predictions with those obtained in the linear regime. Finally, we also estimate the exclusive photon, $J/��$ and $��$ production and compare with the results obtained for $��$ production. Our results demonstrate that the analysis of diffractive $��$ production in future electron - ion colliders will be important to understand the non-linear QCD dynamics., 12 pages, 8 figures, 1 table.
