IntroductionGrowing evidence shows that long non-coding RNA small nucleolar RNA host genes (lncRNA SNHGs) enact an pivotal regulatory roles in the shorter survival outcome of colorectal cancer (CRC). However, no research has systematically evaluated the correlation among lncRNA SNHGs expression and survival outcome of CRC. This research indented to screen whether exist potential prognostic effect of lncRNA SNHGs in CRC patientss using comprehensive review and meta-analysis.MethodsSystematic searches were performed from the six relevant databases from inception to October 20, 2022. The quality of published papers was evaluated in details. We pooled the hazard ratios (HR) with 95% confidence interval (CI) through direct or indirect collection of effect sizes, and odds ratios (OR) with 95% CI by collecting effect sizes within articles. Detailed downstream signaling pathways of lncRNA SNHGs were summarized in detailResults25 eligible publications including 2,342 patients were finally included to appraise the association of lncRNA SNHGs with prognosis of CRC. Elevated lncRNA SNHGs expression was revealed in colorectal tumor tissues. High lncSNHG expression means bad survival prognosis in CRC patients (HR=1.635, 95% CI: 1.405–1.864, PConclusionElevated lncRNA SNHGs expression was revealed to be positively correlated to discontented CRC clinical outcome and lncRNA SNHG may act as a potential clinical prognostic index for CRC patients.

Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei (EHP) is an obligate intracellular parasite classified as a fungal pathogen, which causes hepatopancreatic microsporidiosis (HPM) in shrimp, resulting in large economic losses to the shrimp culture industry. However, the molecular mechanisms of how EHP affects hormonal regulation in shrimp were rarely reported. Thus, in the present study, we investigated the transcriptomic data of the hepatopancreas of EHP-infected and uninfected shrimp to study the hormonal regulation corresponding to EHP infection. The results showed that there were 157 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) at the hormonal regulatory level, of which 32 genes were upregulated and 125 genes were downregulated. Functional enrichment analysis showed that many DEGs were enriched in ecdysis-related pathways, including EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor resistance, thyroid hormone signaling pathway, and steroid hormone biosynthesis. Ten genes were randomly selected for qRT-PCR to verify the transcriptome sequencing results, and the results demonstrated that the expression of these genes were consistent with the results of the transcriptome. Our study provides an important dataset that contributes to further understanding of how EHP affects shrimp at the level of hormonal regulation. It provides a basis for further research and control of HPM.

Hypoxia is a common stressor in shrimp, but the molecular mechanisms underlying the adaptation of the ridgetail white prawn, Exopalaemon carinicauda, to hypoxia and reoxygenation remain poorly understood. In the present study, ridgetail white prawns were exposed to gradual changes in hypoxia for 6 h via oxygen consumption in a static respiration chamber and then rapidly aerated to allow reoxygenation for 8 h. The dissolved oxygen concentration after 6 h of hypoxia was 1.04 mg/L, and the survival rate of the shrimp was 47%. A transcriptomic analysis of hepatopancreas tissues after 0 (control), 3 (hypoxic starting point), and 6 (hypoxic lethal half point) h of exposure to hypoxia and after 1 and 8 h of reoxygenation was conducted using the Illumina HiSeqTM 4000 high-throughput sequencing platform. A total of 93,227 genes were obtained, and 4315 of these genes were identified as differentially expressed genes (DEGs) that respond to hypoxia and reoxygenation. A KEGG pathway enrichment analysis suggested that all identified DEGs were mostly enriched in ribosome biogenesis in eukaryotes, apoptosis, the longevity regulating pathway, the MAPK signaling pathway, and protein processing in the endoplasmic reticulum. In addition, 20,203 genes with RPKM values ≥1 were parsed into 20 modules through a weighted gene coexpression network (WGCNA), and three of these modules were related to hypoxia and reoxygenation. GO and KEGG enrichment analyses of these three modules were then performed, and three hub genes were identified based on their connectivity: RREB1 (Ras-responsive element-binding protein 1-like), UBE1 (ubiquitin-activating enzyme E1), and an unknown gene. This study might help further elucidate the hypoxia tolerance mechanism of E. carinicauda.

Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei (EHP) is a newly emerged pathogen reported to retard the growth of cultured shrimp, including the tiger shrimp Penaeus monodon and the white shrimp Penaeus vannamei. Shrimp culture in Jiangsu Province in China has experienced explosive development in recent years, but this expansion has also increased the threat of retardation of shrimp growth. In this study, we investigated P. vannamei culture in earthen and greenhouse ponds in Jiangsu Province for EHP infection using light and transmission electron microscopy, histopathological analysis and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Squash analysis of hepatopancreas showed a large number of EHP in heavily infected shrimp. Acidophilic inclusions and spore aggregations were observed in epithelial cells of hepatopancreas. Transmission electron microscopy revealed early- and late-stage plasmodia as multiple nuclei as well as mature spores measuring 1.1 μm × 0.7 μm, findings that are typical of the family Enterocytozoonndiae. A PCR product of ~ 779 bp was yielded and showed 97–99% identity with the EHP reported from Vietnam, Thailand, Latin America and India. PCR screening results showed that the prevalence of EHP in growth-retarded shrimp was relatively high (93%) in greenhouse ponds; this was approximately equal to that in growth-retarded shrimp in earthen ponds (91.3%). However, the prevalence of EHP in seemingly normal shrimp in greenhouse ponds (10.6%) was much lower than that in seemingly normal shrimp in earthen ponds (72.4%). This study showed that the prevalence of EHP in shrimp in Jiangsu Province was relatively high, whereas culturing shrimp in greenhouses appeared to limit the rate of EHP infection.

Lycium ruthenicum Murr. is an important ecological and economic species in the Qaidam Basin of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Its black fruits (BF) are rich in anthocyanins, which have health-promoting properties for humans and thus provide nutritional benefits for this plant. Although the fruit quality of natural white fruit (WF) is affected by the disappearance of pigmentation in phenotypes, this phenomenon provides an opportunity to unravel the complex color metabolic networks. In this study, anthocyanin profiling confirmed that WF was formed due to anthocyanin loss. Transcriptome analysis of BF and WF revealed 101,466 unigenes, 261 of which were identified as the putative homologs of color-related genes in other species. Genes encoding the enzymes involved in flavonoid biosynthesis were also identified systematically. The structural gene expression levels of chalcone synthase (CHS), chalcone isomerase (CHI), flavonoid 3'5'-hydroxylase (F3'5'H), dihydroflavonol 4-reductase (DFR), anthocyanidin synthase (ANS), and anthocyanidin 3-O-glucosyltransferase (UFGT) were highly similar and significantly positively correlated with anthocyanin accumulation rate in BF. In particular, F3'5'H, UFGT, ANS, and DFR expression levels in BF were 2391, 119, 96, and 85 times higher than those in WF at S3 (35 days after anthesis), respectively. This result strongly suggests that the low expression of these genes in WF is responsible for the anthocyanin loss. Meanwhile, the expression patterns of the anthocyanin regulatory genes were also investigated by qRT-PCR. Mass sequencing data were obtained and annotated by deep sequencing and provided a platform for future function and molecular biological research on L. ruthenicum Murr.

Increasing evidences have showed that a tight link among pathogen infection, physiological indicators and intestinal microbiota. To investigate effects of Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei (EHP) infection to growth retardation and intestinal microbiota, different sized Pacific white shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) infecting with EHP were studied. The shrimp with big, medium and small sized groups were from same batch of postlarvae and reared in one pond under the same diet and environmental conditions. Number of EHP copies revealed that the more EHP copies the smaller size of shrimp individuals. Denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) profiles showed intestinal bacterial patterns of small sized shrimp were similar to the middle sized shrimp, rather than the big sized shrimp. It implied that intestinal microbiota were influenced by severity of EHP infection and suggested the different sizes of shrimp were due to the successive infection period of EHP. Among the different sized groups, the relative abundance of Vibrio of small group was the highest, suggesting EHP infection could result in higher susceptibility to pathogen invasion. Our findings provided the evidence intestinal bacterial patterns altered by infection of EHP, the more EHP copies the smaller size of shrimp, and different sized individuals due to successive infection period of EHP.

Vehicle thermal management system is expected to increase in-cabin thermal comfortableness in an energy-efficient way. Generally, the thermal management system operates to provide the desired comfort temperature under different driving conditions and ambient environmental conditions. In our study, the simulations of the air-conditioning system are performed to demonstrate the nonlinear dynamic process of in-vehicle temperature variation. Then, the air-conditioning system was optimized by using a fuzzy controller in order to improve its performance and energy efficiency. Results show that the air-conditioning system developed based on the fuzzy control method is an efficient method for vehicle thermal management.

Most smart systems such as smart home and smart health response to human's locations and activities. However, traditional solutions are either require wearable sensors or lead to leaking privacy. This work proposes an ambient radar solution which is a real-time, privacy secure and dark surroundings resistant system. In this solution, we use a low power, Frequency-Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar array to capture the reflected signals and then construct to 3D image frames. This solution designs $1)$a data preprocessing mechanism to remove background static reflection, $2)$a signal processing mechanism to transfer received complex radar signals to a matrix contains spacial information, and $3)$ a Deep Learning scheme to filter broken frame which caused by the rough surface of human's body. This solution has been extensively evaluated in a research area and captures real-time human images that are recognizable for specific activities. The heat transfer performance of single and hybrid nanofluids in a two-phase closed thermosyphon (TPCT) was experimentally studied and compared with deionized water (DW). Al2O3 and TiO2 nanoparticles with a volume concentration of 0.2% were added to the DW in two steps to prepare stable nanofluid suspensions (Al2O3 H2O, TiO2 H2O, 75% Al2O3 + 25% TiO2 H2O, 50% Al2O3 + 50% TiO2 H2O, and 25% Al2O3 + 75% TiO2 H2O). The TPCT was made of a carbon steel tube of length 500 mm, outer diameter 20 mm, and wall thickness 2 mm. In this study, through an orthogonal experiment, the five types of nanofluids were analyzed to obtain the single and hybrid nanofluids with the best heat transfer performance. These were compared with DW under various conditions of the heating power, which were varied from 200 to 400 W in equal steps of 50 W, the liquid filling ratio (30%, 50%, 70%), and the cooling water flow rate (0.4, 0.48, 0.56 L/min). The results showed that when the hybrid nanofluid 25% Al2O3 + 75% TiO2 H2O and the single nanofluid TiO2 H2O were used instead of DW, the best heat transfer performance was displayed. For the heating input of 400 W, filling ratio of 50%, and cooling water flow of 0.4 L/min, the thermal resistance of the TPCT was reduced by 26.8% and 22.8%, the equivalent heat transfer coefficient increased by 25.78% and 21.62%, the thermal efficiency was increased by 10.6% and 9.2%, respectively.

Loss of ARHI expression contributes to the malignant progression of various tumors. However, reports on the clinical implications and functional role of ARHI expression in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) are limited. This study examined the role of ARHI in ESCC. Methods: In total, 81 patients diagnosed with ESCC based on histopathological evaluations who were subjected to surgical resection were included in the study. ARHI expression was analyzed by immunohistochemistry and western blotting, examining the correlations between ARHI expression and patient clinicopathological features. In recent years, several pathogens have emerged and caused heavy mortality in Asia. In this study, we investigated the prevalence of pathogens in specimens of whiteleg shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) collected from greenhouse ponds. In total, six pathogens were tested in these shrimp, three of which, including Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei (EHP), acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND)-causing Vibrio parahaemolyticus and infectious hypodermal and haematopoietic necrosis virus (IHHNV), were detected in shrimp aquaculture, with EHP being the most prevalent; Taura syndrome virus (TSV), White spot syndrome virus (WSSV) and yellow head virus (YHV) were not detected in these samples. In this paper we discuss the differences of development level of regional economy in Jiangsu province by means of spatial statistical methods. The empirical results show that the development of regional economy in Jiangsu province presents spatial agglomeration. The spatial characteristic of region can't be ignored while studying disparity of regional economy.

In the course of program development for virtual digital storage oscilloscope (DSO), if single thread programming technique is employed, there usually exist shortcomings of slow responding of software panel or control and unstable display of waveform. To solve this problem, based on the analysis of working principles of DSO, this paper introduced multithread technology to realize functions of signals acquisition, parameters setting and signals displaying, and experiments show that better control and display effect can be obtained.
