The perception of satisfaction with the quality of life by an individual in urban and rural areas includes a number of objective and subjective indicators, based on the analysis that could be performed. Measuring the preferences of individuals living in different environments, in terms of life goals, needs, moods, expectations, as well as personal satisfaction with the quality of life, requires more criteria to be included for its evaluation. The research was conducted on the basis of twenty indicators for measuring the quality of life in local governments depending on the preferences of individuals, and of different age, gender, education, social status, and satisfaction motives. The subject of this paper is the selection of criteria in a multi-criteria model for assessing the quality of life in local governments, using adequate statistical tools. In addition to descriptive statistics and testing the significance of differences, the authors of the paper used a modified PROMETHEE multi-criteria method for ranking local governments.

The goal of this research is to analyze the entrepreneurial intentions and potentials of students from the two units of Kosovo and Metohija academy of professional studies (in Zvečan and Uroševac with a temporary headquarters in Leposavić). For the purposes of this research, a survey of a sample of 180 students was applied. Insufficient information on entrepreneurship support programs and insufficient financial resources can be pointed out as the main problems identified in this research. Having in mind the observed problems, it is necessary to define appropriate measures for overcoming them. Also, the paper gives a comparative overview of the results of research conducted with high school students in Vojvodina. At the same time, certain differences in the attitude of students from Vojvodina and Kosovo and Metohija can be noticed, which can be attributed, among other things, to the political, economic and legal characteristics of the environment.

This paper will analyze the implementation of video lectures as a new form of teaching material which could play an important role in situations when it is necessary to adopt online education, as was the case during the global pandemic caused by the SARS-COV-2 virus. In addition to video lectures, our students were given access to a course book and PowerPoint presentations which included voice recordings of the instructor. The students took part in a survey to identify the form of teaching they found to be most useful. The results were analyzed in this paper, and a classification made in an attempt to answer the question of whether video presentations are a sound investment. The prioritization of the criteria on which to base the evaluation of the educational methods included in the teaching process will be carried out using the PIvot Pairwise RElative Criteria Importance Assessment - the PIPRECIA method.

Blackleg outbreaks were noticed on three fields (about 100 ha total) in 2 consecutive years (2018, 2019) in one of the main potato growing areas in Serbia (Bačka region, Vojvodina). The percentage of infected plants reached 40 to 70%, with 10.5 to 44.7% yield reductions. From the three fields, out of 90 samples Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. brasiliensis was most frequently identified and diagnosed as causal agent of potato blackleg in Serbia for the first time (29 isolates). Dickeya dianthicola was a less frequently causative bacterium, which was also noticed for the first time (nine isolates). A total of 38 isolates were characterized based on their phenotypic and genetic features, including a pathogenicity test on potato. The repetitive element PCR (rep-PCR) using BOX, REP, and ERIC primer pairs differentiated five genetic profiles among 38 tested isolates. Multilocus sequence analysis (MLSA) of four housekeeping genes, acnA, gapA, icdA, and mdh, revealed the presence of three so far unknown P. c. subsp. brasiliensis multilocus genotypes and confirmed clustering into two main genetic clades as determined in other studies. MLSA also revealed the presence of a new genotype of D. dianthicola in Serbia.

Bacterial canker and leaf spot caused by plant pathogenic bacterium Pseudomonas is among the most destructive cherry diseases worldwide. Nowadays in Serbia, sweet cherry production significantly increased and the new plantations, mainly grown from imported planting material are being raised every year. During spring, 2018 and 2019, occurrence of bacterial canker and leaf spot symptoms was observed on a newly planted sweet cherry plantations in two localities, Zitoradja (Southern region) and Karavukovo (Northern region-Vojvodina). Typical P. syringae colonies were isolated on Nutrient Sucrose Agar supplemented with 5% sucrose (NSA). A total of fifteen isolates were selected and identified. Results of the LOPAT test (+---+) determined them to belong to fluorescent Pseudomonas Group Ia, while results of G+A+T-Ta- tests indicate presence of Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae. Pathogenicity was confirmed on immature sweet and sour cherry fruitlets by forming of black, sunken lesions for all tested isolates. Genes syrB and syrD were successfully detected in all tested isolates. DNA sequencing using gapA, gltA, gyrB and rpoD housekeeping genes determined tested isolates to belong to P. s. pv. syringae using the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) nucleotide BLAST. The Serbian isolates shared 99.47% to 100% (Zitoradja) and 99.38% to 100% (Karavukovo) identity with bacterium P. s. pv. syringae. Phylogenetic analysis grouped isolates from Zitoradja in one tree cluster, separate from the Karavukovo isolates, indicating presence of two genetically diverse groups of causal pathogen P. s. pv. syringae, obtained from two geographically distinct localities in Serbia. Phylogeographic analysis grouped isolates from Zitoradja in multilocus haplotype coded as REz and isolates originated from Karavukovo in multilocus haplotype coded as REk. Considering that during last few years P. syringae continuously occurs mainly in young sweet cherry plantations, where imported material is used for raising, health status check is recommended to be included as obligatory measure when nursery material is used from import.

Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris (Xcc), the causal agent of black rot disease of cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.), is one of the most important bacteria which affect proper cabbage growth, leading to head weight and quality losses and thereby drastically reducing its marketing value. The pathogen is genetically diverse, which is evident from the presence of eleven races worldwide and more than thirty combinations of allelic profiles. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the allelic profiles of Serbian cabbage Xcc strains obtained in 2014. The analysis was done on three selected Xcc strains whose DNA was first amplified using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with four housekeeping genes - P-XdnaK, fyuA, gyrB, and rpoD, then sequenced, and the obtained sequences were finally used to determine allelic profiles. Allelic profiles were determined by comparison with 33 Xcc strains obtained from different hosts and regions, whose allelic profiles had been determined previously. A non-redundant database (NRDB) from the pubMLST was used for allelic profile determination and Phyloviz software for constructing a minimum spanning tree. The obtained allelic profile of all Serbian Xcc cabbage strains was 1, 3, 1, 1 for the P-X-dnaK, fyuA, gyrB and rpoD genes, respectively. This profile is assigned as sequence type 2 (ST2) and it coincides with a Portuguese B. oleracea Xcc strain, CPBF 213, originating from B. oleracea var. costata. No connection between sequence type (ST) and the host was detected. Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris (Xcc), prouzrokovač crne truleži kupusa (Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.) svrstava se među najvažnije fitopatogene bakterije koje utiču na pravilno razviće kupusa, dovodeći do gubitka težine glavice i njenog kvaliteta i na taj način drastično smanjuje njegovu ekonomsku vrednost. Ovaj patogen je genetički heterogen, što se ogleda kroz prisustvo dokazanih jedanaest rasa i više od trideset kombinacija alelskih profila širom sveta. Zbog svega navedenog, cilj ovog rada je determinacija alelskih profila Xcc sojeva poreklom sa kupusa prikupljenih 2014. godine. Analiza je vršena kod tri reprezentativna Xcc soja čija je DNK amplifikovana primenom lančane reakcije polimeraze (PCR) sa četiri konzervativna gena - dnaK, fyuA, gyrB i rpoD, a zatim sekvencirana i korišćena za determinaciju alelskih profila. Alelski profili su određivani poređenjem sa 33 Xcc soja izolovana sa različitih domaćina i regiona, čiji su alelski profili prethodno utvrđeni. Nonredundant baza podataka (NRDB) od pubMLST je korišćena za determinaciju alaleskih profila, a Phyloviz softver za konstrukciju Minimum Spanning stabla. Dobijeni alelski profil za sve Xcc sojeve sa kupusa iz Srbije je 1, 3, 1, 1 za gene dnaK, fyuA, gyrB i rpoD, redom. Ovaj profil je označen kao tip sekvence 2 (ST2) i podudara se sa portugalskim B. oleracea Xcc sojem CPBF 213 poreklom sa B. oleracea var. costata. Veza između tipa sekvence (ST) i biljke domaćina nije pronađena.

Unstable electricity supply is a major challenge for Kosovo* and especially for Serb-majority communities. Renewable energy may represent one of the possible solutions to improve the energy security of those areas. Therefore, the municipality of Štrpce was selected as the research area of the paper, and it is located in the south of Kosovo* . However, renewable energy potentials have not been sufficiently explored and specific projects are not proposed. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to define renewable energy projects. Based on renewable energy potential and electricity consumption in Štrpce, a set of 8 renewable energy potential projects has been defined using Homer pro software. However, the problem that arises is the choice of an adequate alternative on the basis of economic criteria. Six criteria were selected for the evaluation of renewable energy projects. To assess criteria analytical hierarchy process is employed. The highest priority was given to the criterion energy sold (0.280) while the top-ranked project is refer to installation of photovoltaic panels in households to cover 50% of energy needs while the rest is taken from the grid (0.222). In future research, in addition to used economic criteria, other groups of criteria such as technical, environmental and socio-political should be analyzed.

The aim of this work was to identify and characterize the pectolytic bacteria responsible for the emergence of bacterial soft rot on two summer cabbage hybrids (Cheers F1 and Hippo F1) grown in the Futog locality (Bačka, Vojvodina), known for the five-century-long tradition of cabbage cultivation in Serbia. Symptoms manifesting as soft lesions on outer head leaves were observed during August 2021, while the inner tissues were macerated, featuring cream to black discoloration. As the affected tissue decomposed, it exuded a specific odor. Disease incidence ranged from 15% to 25%. A total of 67 isolates producing pits on crystal violet pectate (CVP) medium were characterized for their phenotypic and genotypic features. The pathogenicity was confirmed on cabbage heads. Findings yielded by the repetitive element palindromic-polymerase chain reaction (rep-PCR) technique confirmed interspecies diversity between cabbage isolates, as well as intraspecies genetic diversity within the P. carotovorum group of isolates. Based on multilocus sequence typing (MLST) using genes dnaX, mdh, icdA, and proA, five representative isolates were identified as Pectobacterium carotovorum (Cheers F1 and Hippo F1), while two were identified as Pectobacterium versatile (Hippo F1) and Pectobacterium odoriferum (Hippo F1), respectively, indicating the presence of diverse Pectobacterium species even in combined infection in the same field. Among the obtained isolates, P. carotovorum was the most prevalent species (62.69%), while P. versatile and P. odoriferum were less represented (contributing by 19.40% and 17.91%, respectively). Multilocus sequence analysis (MLSA) performed with concatenated sequences of four housekeeping genes (proA, dnaX, icdA, and mdh) and constructed a neighbor-joining phylogenetic tree enabled insight into the phylogenetic position of the Serbian cabbage Pectobacterium isolates. Bacterium P. odoriferum was found to be the most virulent species for cabbage, followed by P. versatile, while all three species had comparable virulence with respect to potato. The results obtained in this work provide a better understanding of the spreading routes and abundance of different Pectobacterium spp. in Serbia.

Potato blackleg is frequently observed on the production fields in the Backa region of Vojvodina province, which is one of the largest potato-growing areas in Serbia. This disease usually occurs during June and July. In July 2020, blackleg symptoms in the form of stem necrotic lesions, vascular discoloration, hollow stems, and wilting of whole plants were noted on potato cultivar VR808 on a field 28 ha in size located in Maglic village (GPS coordinates 45.349325 N, 19.542768 E). Disease incidence was estimated at 20-25%. Isolations were performed from 12 potato samples on Crystal Violet Pectate medium (CVP). Stem sections consisted of brown lesions and healthy tissue (c.10 cm) were surface sterilized with ethyl alcohol 70% (w/v) and rinsed with sterile distilled water. Small pieces of tissue were taken at the edges of stem lesions (between healthy and diseased tissue) were soaked in phosphate buffer saline for 20 min and plated using a standard procedure (Klement et al. 1990). Single colonies that formed pits after 48 hours at 26 °C were re-streaked onto Nutrient Agar (NA) where creamy white colonies with smooth surfaces were formed. A total of 30 isolates were selected and DNA isolated from the colonies was further analyzed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using the partial dnaX gene (DNA polymerase subunit III gamma/tau) with primer pair dnaXf/dnaXr for Pectobacterium and Dickeya species identification (Slawiak et al. 2009). A single characteristic band of 535 bp was amplified in all isolates (Slawiak et al. 2009). DNA sequence alignment showed two distinct groups of isolates (Fig.S1), which were genetically uniform within each group. Using BLASTn search, it was established that the dnaX sequence of the first group (consisting of 19 Serbian potato isolates) had 99.79% identity with NCBI-deposited Pectobacterium versatile strains 14A and 3-2 from potato from Belarus (Acc. No. CP034276 and CP024842, respectively) as well as SCC1 from Finland (Acc. No. CP021894). The remaining 11 dnaX sequences had 100% identity with Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. carotovorum strain CFBP7081 originating from water in Spain (Acc. No. MK516961). The partial dnaX sequences of three Serbian P. versatile isolates (Pv1320, Pv1520, and Pv1620) and one P. carotovorum subsp. carotovorum (Pcc2520) were deposited in GenBank under Acc. No. MW839571, MW805306, MW839572, and MW805307, respectively. These results, indicating combined infection in the observed field, signify the first identification of P. versatile in Serbia. Multilocus sequence analysis (MLSA) performed with proA (proAF1/ proAR1) and mdh (mdh2/mdh4) genes (Ma et al. 2007; Moleleki et al. 2013) grouped three tested Serbian potato P. versatile isolates together with P. versatile strains from NCBI (Fig.S2). For both tested genes, BLASTn search revealed 100% homology with P. versatile strain SCC1 from Finland. Three Serbian P. versatile potato isolates were deposited under Acc. Nos. MZ682623-25 for proA and MZ682620-22 for mdh genes. According to the routine tests suggested for Pectobacteriaceae (Schaad et al. 2001), Serbian isolates possessed microbiological traits identical to P. versatile description (Portier et al. 2019). Pathogenicity was performed on potato cultivar VR808 with three selected P. versatile isolates (Pv1320, Pv1520, and Pv1620) in the following assays: (i) surface-sterilized tuber slices with holes in the center filled with 100 µL of bacterial suspensions (adjusted to 109 CFU mL-1) to test the isolates' ability to cause soft rot, and (ii) young, four-week old plants with developed 3rd true leaf (c. 30 cm tall) were inoculated by injecting stems with bacterial suspension adjusted to 107 - 108 CFU mL-1 at a height 5 cm above the soil line. Negative controls were treated with sterile distilled water. Inoculated plants were kept under controlled conditions (25 °C temperature and >70% relative humidity). Each assay was replicated twice. Soft rot appeared on tuber slices 24 h after inoculation. On inoculated stems, initial symptoms manifested as greasy elongated spots at inoculation sites two days after inoculation (DAI), and subsequently extended along the vascular tissue and became necrotic. Whole plant's decay was recorded in five DAI, while negative controls remained healthy. To complete Koch's postulates, bacteria were re-isolated from symptomatic potato plants and confirmed by PCR and sequencing of dnaX. This first report of P. versatile in potato indicates that blackleg currently present in Serbia is caused by a diverse bacterial population. This pathogen was first identified in genome comparison as 'Candidatus Pectobacterium maceratum' (Shirshikov et al. 2018) and was later renamed as Pectobacterium versatile sp. nov. (Portier et al. 2019). Thus far, bacterium Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. brasiliensis has been recognized as dominant pathogen on most of the infected fields in Vojvodina province, and was recently noted on one plot subjected to a combined infection with Dickeya dianthicola (Markovic et al. 2021). Findings achieved in this study are highly relevant, as they point to the diversity in potato blackleg pathogens, likely due to the increasingly widespread distribution of imported seed potatoes.

Preduzeća u Republici Srbiji se nalaze pred izazovom da budu još inovativnija, produktivnija i profitabilnija a istovremeno još odgovornija i održivija. Savremeni tokovi privrede, fleksibilni uslovi privređivanja i turbulentno okruženje zahtevaju savremenu organizaciju koja se kao dinamički sistem permanentno menja, usavršava i prilagođava okruženju u kojem obavlja svoje poslovne aktivnosti. Promovisanje održivog razvoja predstavlja radikalan zaokret u koncepciji zaštite životne sredine. Osnovna ideja jeste što čvršće povezivanje ekonomskog rasta i razvoja i problema životne sredine. Ideja održivog razvoja je ubedljivija ukoliko se tumači kao način da dodatni nivo razvoja može biti društveno nepotreban ukoliko se životna sredina ugrozi, odnosno ako veća nejednakost u raspodeli vodi lošem životu čitave zajednice. Zbog toga poslovanje na društveno odgovoran način postaje ključna tema i imperativ savremenog poslovanja preduzeća, s obzirom da se poslovanje odvija u okruženju o kome se mora voditi računa.

The causal agent of soft rot disease associated with a cabbage outbreak in Semberija region, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 2018 was identified and characterized. Symptoms appeared in the form of water-soaked lesions on leaves and specific odour. Disease incidence ranged from 20% to 30%. The causal pathogen was isolated on nutrient agar (NA), King?s B and crystal violet pectate (CVP) media. Eight creamy-white, round and convex bacterial isolates, which produced characteristic pits on CVP medium were taken as representative. They were gram negative, facultative anaerobe, oxidase negative, catalase positive, nonfluorescent on King?s B medium, levan and arginine dehydrolase negative. The isolates were able to cause soft rot on cabbage and potato tuber slices 24 h after inoculation under conditions of high relative humidity. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was performed for preliminary identification by using three specific primer sets: F0145/E2477 (specific for Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. carotovorum), Br1f/L1r (specific for P. carotovorum subsp. brasiliensis) and ECA1f/ECA2r (specific for P. atrosepticum). All isolates produced the band size of 666 bp with F0145/E2477 primer pair, indicating that they belong to the species P. carotovorum subsp. carotovorum. Further genetic characterization was based on sequence analysis of the gapA and mdh housekeeping genes. BLAST analysis confirmed 99.39% (Q. cover 100%, E. value 0.0) and 100% (Q. cover 100%, E. value 0.0) identity of the isolates with P. carotovorum subsp. carotovorum strains deposited in the NCBI database as M34 (KY047594) for gapA and Pcc t0437 (KC337296) for mdh genes, respectively. Phylogenetic analysis showed genetic homogeneity among the cabbage isolates.

The soft rot caused by Pectobacterium and Dickeya spp. is among the most important potato disease, responsible for outbreaks worldwide. In 2018, potato tubers (cultivar Lady Claire) with and without visible soft rot symptom, together with their geocaulospheres were sampled from the field in Bačka region (Serbia). The 16S rRNA Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) of tubers with and without soft rot symptom and their corresponding soils was performed to detect differences in microbial diversity and, using this data to predict causal agent(s) of disease and which samples are potentially best for isolating biocontrol strains. The ubiquitous soil bacteria from the phyla Proteobacteria, Firmicutes, Actinobacteria, and Bacteroidetes were dominant in all samples. The sequences identified as Pectobacterium aroidearum, P. carotovorum, and P. polaris were present in all tested samples and it can be hypothesized that they caused soft rot. The K3 sample showed the presence of genera with potential antimicrobial activity (Pseudomonas, Arthrobacter, Chryseobacterium, Bacillus, and Exiguobacterium). This result shows that diversity analysis could be used for checking for the presence of potential antagonistic bacteria at infected sites. Also, following the presence or absence of particular taxa could point out a capacity of soil to endure a growth season without an outbreak of soft or to maintain it without significant losses. This is a new approach to interpreting the results of the diversity of bacterial communities of tubers and can be useful for screening the health status of the soil.

In this work pharmaceutical application of focused library of six quinoline-based chalcogensemicarbazones (QBCs) was tested through determination of their antimicrobial activity against twenty-eight Gram-negative and Gram-positive strains from different origin. Pharmacokinetic properties have been assessed by the analysis of frequently employed drug likeness parameters. Computational study has been complemented with calculation of their global and local reactive properties, within the framework of density functional theory (DFT). Among other information, DFT calculations helped us to locate the most reactive sites of investigated QBCs and to identify their sensitivity towards the oxidation.

In developed, industrial countries, there is 1.2kg waste per capita, waste being collected and disposed of in regulated, sanitary landfills, which have systems for the protection of groundwater and air from pollutants, in Serbia, the largest number of landfills does not meet even the basic safety criteria for environmental protection. Several municipalities in Serbia began with the organization of the regional waste management system and within that frame, the construction of regional landfills which meet European standards in terms of environmental protection. The paper presents a method of management and use of leachate at the regional waste landfill 'ASA', Kikinda.

Međutim, u slucaju obnovljivih izvora energije, veliki broj studija „govori“ suprotno: da veca upotreba energetskih sistema ciji se rad zasniva na koriscenju obnovljivih izvora energije obezbeđuje ekonomsku korist kroz: inovacije i investicije u otvaranje novih radnih mesta, cime se povecava standard i bruto nacionalni dohodak stanovnistva , povecava se sigurnost snabdevanja energijom te istovremeno stiti ekonomija od politickih i ekonomskih rizika, smanjuje enrgetska zavisnost i emisija CO 2 . Uticaj energetskog menadžmenta je veoma znacajan za kreiranje novih radnih mesta, posebno u onim regionima cija industrija je bazirana na koriscenju tradicionalnih izvora energije. Obnovljivi izvori energije imaju potencijal da postanu znacajan izvor zaposljavanja u Srbiji, otvarajuci mogucnost zaposlenja u sirokom spektru poslova.

In an effort to meet the rising needs of customers, the buyers of industrial products, in the conditions of the growing diversity of products on the market, operation of business production systems sometimes fails, due to imprompt supstitution with new products. If we observe the production system as a set of elements that define everything that is going on with the product itself, from raw materials as input to a finished product, as an output, then it can be represented as a set of subsystems: subsystem preparation, technological subsystem, transport subsystem, storage subsystem, information control subsystem, the subsystem maintenance and supply subsystem. Technological systems, as the most important subsystem of the production system is designed to perform operations in the workplace. Along with the existence of the described subsystem, there are: business, manufacturing, technology and machining processes. The production process as a part of the production system is a set of interrelated activities, or work processes as means of transformation of raw materials or semi-finished into finished products. Optimal selection of process parameters is essential for the economic, efficient and effective use of the process. In terms of the more successful adaptation to the specified, the authors identified relevant parameters in the preparation of the production process.

Da bi kotlovsko postrojenje radilo prema zadatom režimu neophodno je primeniti sve raspoložive, propisane i zadate mere održavanja. U radu su prikazane terotehnoloske aktivnosti grupisane prema izvoru finansiranja i prema vremenu u odnosu na nastalu neispravnost kotlovskog postrojenja.
