Der er mange myter om dét, der i medierne ofte benævnes som "de store, problemramte, almennyttige boligbebyggelser fra 1960'erne og 1970'erne". I medierne beskrives boligområderne ofte ud fra en kritisk synsvinkel, der får områderne til at fremstå som mindre attraktive. I marts 1997 tog Statens Byggeforskningsinstitut (SBI) initiativ til at lade beboerne få mulighed for at præsentere, hvordan de selv opfatter dagligdagen i og mellem bygningerne i fire nyere boligområder. Hvordan opleves nærmiljøet, indkøbsfaciliteterne, fællesskabet og samværet i hverdagen og til fest? Hvilke muligheder giver boligområdet for leg, sportsudøvelse, musisk udfoldelse og andre fritidsaktiviteter? Fire familier i henholdsvis Gjellerup Parken, Høje Gladsaxe, Farum Midtpunkt og Albertslund Syd tog udfordringen op og videofilmede gennem et par uger hverdagens gøremål og aktiviteter. Adskillige timers private optagelser fra hver familie blev herefter redigeret og klippet professionelt sammen af Buxton Ravn Production.

For the purpose of investigating the effects of long-term therapy with clopenthixol in terms of measurable laboratory parameters, 57 female patients who had been treated with clopenthixol alone from 3 to 9 years were examined. Twenty-six patients had psychiatric diseases only 31 had concomitant somatic diseases. Several parametric and non-parametric statistical methods (especially Spearman's Rho) were used to study the relationships between the measured values, in particular variations within the range between the two groups. Age, dose and duration of treatment were variables along with laboratory tests. There were no indications that long-term treatment with clopenthixol exerts a nephrotoxic, hepatotoxic, or haematotoxic effect. Changes did seem to occur in certain parameters, predominantly within the range of normal, especially as concerns thymol turbidity values and total leucocyte count.

SummarySixteen women who had used a low-dose progestogen-only oral contraceptive preparation (‘Exluton’), containing 0.5 mg. lynestrenol per tablet, for periods of at least a year were studied. All had normal pregnancies after discontinuing the preparation and gave birth to healthy infants: 11 girls and 5 boys. No complications were found at subsequent routine examinations of the infants.

SummaryOne hundred and two women were treated for approximately 2 years with a low-dose progestogen-only oral contraceptive preparation (‘Exlutori’) containing 0.5 mg. lynestrenol per tablet. Therapy was continuous, without interruption of the cycle. The contraceptive reliability during the total of 2,421 cycles was 100%; side-effects, including breakthrough bleeding and spotting, were minimal – even in the first cycles of treatment.Serum alkaline phosphatase and SGOT-determinations in each patient after a year's treatment showed that liver function was undisturbed.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Defining margins around the Gross Tumour Volume (GTV) to create a Clinical Target Volume (CTV) for head and neck cancer radiotherapy has traditionally been based on presumed knowledge of anatomical routes of spread. However, using a concentric geometric expansion around the GTV may be more reproducible. The purpose of this study was to analyse the inter-observer consistency of geometric CTV delineation with adaptation for anatomical boundaries versus anatomically defined CTVs.MATERIAL AND METHODS: Radiation oncologists at four Danish cancer centres delineated high, intermediate and elective dose CTVs (CTV1, CTV2 and CTV3, respectively) in a patient-case template (stage IV squamous cell carcinoma of the oropharynx), first using mainly anatomical margins (original standard) and then using concentric geometric expansion (new standard). Each centre made a dummy-run radiotherapy plan based on the delineated CTVs. The difference between the CTV contours and the radiotherapy plans was evaluated across the centres.RESULTS: Anatomy-based contours were significantly more heterogenous and showed larger volume differences between centres than geometric margins. Dice similarity coefficient increased by 0.29 and mean surface distance decreased by 4mm for CTV1. Use of consistent CTV volumes resulted in more consistent irradiated volumes between centres.CONCLUSION: Introduction of geometric margins resulted in more uniform CTV1 and CTV2 delineation. Geometric CTV expansion was easier, left less room for misinterpretation, and resulted in more uniform treatment plans with similar irradiated high and intermediate dose volumes across all centres.
