In this paper we analyze the impact of the quality of human capital on the main economic indicators of South-Eastern Europe countries [SEE] at the NUTS 2 level. The subjects of this research are the human capital indicators of regional competitiveness. The quality of human capital depends largely on the age structure of the population and the quality of education. Those regions, which have the highest percentage of the working-age population and highly educated people, are able to achieve higher productivity and gain a competitive advantage over other regions. As main indicators of the quality of human capital we identified: population; persons aged 25-64 with tertiary education attainment; students in tertiary education and participation of adults aged 25-64 in education and training and human resources in science and technology. As main economic indicators, we identified: regional gross domestic product; employment and income of households. The aim of this paper is to determine whether there is a correlation between the indicators of the quality of human capital and economic indicators. As a main methodology we have used the correlation coefficient which shows interdependence of the analyzed indicators. As part of our analysis, we consider only EU member states that belong to the SEE countries: Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece. We conclude that in all countries there is a high multiple correlation coefficient between the indicators human resources in science and technology, number of students and employment. Accurate measurement of the viscosity of fuels is essential for the proper operation of fuel supply systems and atomisers. In previous years, the use of fuels derived from the fast pyrolysis of biomass (bio-oils) has been demonstrated in, for example, furnace applications. Unfortunately, these fuels are shown to be unstable and start to polymerise even at ambient conditions. At elevated temperatures, these degradation phenomena become even more significant and complex. For example, vapours will be formed, not only due to the presence of volatiles and water in the oil, but also because of the decomposition of the oil. These vapours make the viscosity measurement troublesome. In the present paper, a procedure is proposed for the determination of the viscosity of such (unstable) bio-oils. First, by varying the sample temperature, the so-called decomposition temperature, at which the formation of vapours starts, should be determined. Below that decomposition temperature, the standard procedure for viscosity measurement can be applied. At temperatures above this temperature, the appearance of vapours results in a significant increase and strong fluctuations in the falling time of the ball due to the formation of bubbles. At these latter temperatures, values for the viscosity should be calculated from the lowest value of the falling time during the so-called heat-up period and the vapour formation delay. The values for the viscosity for five types of bio-oils, derived in this way, were shown to be reliable.

The chromatic number of a triangle-free graph can be arbitrarily large. In this article, we show that if all subdivisions of K2, 3 are also excluded as induced subgraphs, then the chromatic number becomes bounded by 3. We give a structural characterization of this class of graphs, from which we derive an coloring algorithm, where n denotes the number of vertices and m the number of edges of the input graph.

Pljevlja cheese is known traditional Montenegrin product that belongs to brined cheeses group. Due to its high nutritional value and long tradition of production and consumption, Pljevlja cheese is a candidate for receiving the sign of protected origin (PDO). The objective of this study was to analyze composition and proteolysis of Pljevlja cheeses, supplied from 10 producers that produce cheese by traditional technology. Collected cheese samples were analyzed in duplicate for dry matter by the oven drying method, fat by Van Gulik, total protein by Kjeldahl and sodium chloride by Volhard method. The level of proteolysis was monitored by urea polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (Urea PAGE) and water-soluble nitrogen content (WSN) according to the method of Kuchroo and Fox. All analysis were done at first, 20th, 40th and 60th day of cheese ripening. The differences among cheeses parameters during ripening were determined by LSD test at a 0.05 statistical level using Statistica software (Stat Soft. Inc., Tulsa, USA). Parameters of proteolysis increased during 60 days of ripening and ranged from 7.45 to 14.23% for water-soluble nitrogen (WSN) as a percentage of total nitrogen (WSN/TN) and from 8.38 to 11.13% for nitrogen soluble in 5% phosphotungstic acid as a percentage of WSN (PTAN/WSN). Degradation of as casein was more pronounced than of β casein but still not very extensive during all ripening period. Preliminary results of this study indicate that high salt content of cheeses was the main cause of limited proteolysis, observed in all Pljevlja cheese samples. Also, the high variability of the gross composition and proteolysis parameters of Pljevlja cheeses are due to the lack of standardized cheese-making technologies. It is necessary to continue with additional research on chemical, microbiological and sensory analysis, together with proteolysis, in order to obtain enough relevant data that could be useful for achieving the constant quality of Pljevlja cheese, i.e. to create the necessary preconditions for the development of its standard, as a final aim.

Wildfire in Deliblatska Pescara (Serbia) on July 24th 2007 is discussed from the hypothesis on the influence of Sun processes and resulting ignition. The work hypothesis is related with establishing the eventual connection between the phenomena of energy source of corpuscular radiation on the Sun and the phenomena of the initial phase of wildfire event. Having in mind existing lack of information on recent explanations for certain number of cases concerning the causes that strengthened the ignition, it was necessary to check the parameters that could, in this case, provide the explanation of the potential causality. It turned out that, at that time, not only wildfires occurred in direct surroundings of Deliblatska Pescara but they also seized numerous locations of southern Europe and northern Africa, as well as, certain parts of Canada. The coincidence of these events has pointed out that the hypothesis on the penetration of charged particles towards Earth, in two basic ways, may also be confirmed in this case. According to our results, the mentioned penetration caused air mass seizing, thus dictating different weather circumstances in the area of Mediterranean, as well as in the most northern part of America. The aim of this work was to test the heliocentric hypothesis on wildfires through this example, as well as to point argumentatively the Solar wind influence on hydrodynamic processes in the atmosphere.
