У статті запропоновано застосування базової групи операцій перестановок, керованих інформацією, з урахуванням трьох видів алгоритмів реалізації криптографічного перетворення: просте перемішування, гамування з ключем, гамування з ключем із заданою кількістю раундів. Розроблено алгоритми використання операцій перестановок, керованих інформацією, з метою застосування їх як у програмних, так і в апаратних засобах криптографічного захисту інформації. Проведено оцінювання ефективності цих алгоритмів на основі їх програмної реалізації та статистичного тестування пакетом тестів NIST STS. Здійснено аналіз статистичних портретів одержаних результатів роботи розроблених алгоритмів з метою оцінки їх придатності в процесі побудови криптографічних алгоритмів. Показано, що для практичної реалізації криптографічного алгоритму на основі використання запропонованих операцій перестановок, керованих інформацією, потрібно визначити практичну криптографічну стійкість алгоритму, що напряму залежить від довжини пароля та кількості операцій, що застосовуються для шифрування інформації. Крім того, наведено розрахунок варіативності алгоритмів застосування для криптографічного перетворення декількох блоків інформації. The purpose and objectives of the study are to develop the ways to implement cryptographic transformation of information by synthesizing algorithms for permutation operations controlled by information, and to make the analysis of their suitability for use in cryptographic algorithms. The article provides the use of the basic group of permutation operations controlled by information based on three types of algorithms for implementing the cryptographic transformation: simple shuffling, gamma sequence with a key, gamma sequence with a key with a given number of rounds. Algorithms for application of permutation operations controlled by information for the purpose of applying them in both software and hardware means of cryptographic information protection have been developed. The effectiveness of these algorithms has been evaluated on the basis of their software implementation and statistical testing by the NIST STS test package. The analysis of statistical portraits of the received results of work of the developed algorithms for the purpose of an estimation of their suitability in the course of construction of cryptographic algorithms is carried out. It is shown that for practical implementation of cryptographic algorithm based on the use of proposed permutation operations controlled by information, it is necessary to determine the practical cryptographic stability of the algorithm, which directly depends on password length and number of operations used to encrypt information. In addition, the calculation of application algorithms variability for cryptographic transformation of several blocks of information is given. The effectiveness of using permutation operations controlled by information for cryptographic transformation is to implement the method of increasing the encryption rate, the essence of which is to use a gamma sequence as a set of commands to execute sequences of cryptographic transformation operations using these permutation operations. In the course of studying the developed algorithms for using permutation operations controlled by information for cryptographic transformation and analyzing their testing results obtained with the use of the NIST STS package, it has been determined that the most effective among the three algorithms is the algorithm based on the use of gamma with a key with a given number of rounds. Since the other two algorithms have a lower score in statistical testing, it is recommended to use them together with other cryptographic transformation algorithms in order to provide the necessary cryptographic strength.

Evaluating the challenges and opportunities of cooperative autonomous vehicles (CAV) require an adapted simulation methodology reproducing realistic driving and sensory contexts. In this paper, we propose a RounD-like CARLA scenario reproducing in CARLA the driving context recorded in the RounD dataset. We focus in particular on roundabout scenarios, as they are considered particularly challenging for CAV. We present the methodology followed to generate the CARLA scenario and describe challenges to reproduce trajectories corresponding to RounD. Origin and destination of vehicles, waypoint and speed are extracted from RounD for CARLA vehicles to closely reproduce the driving patterns observed in RounD.The benefit of such scenario are manyfold, such as evaluating control algorithms of CAVs, deep AI reinforcement learning, or vehicular sensor data sampling under realistic driving contexts. It notably will reduce the gap of AI mechanisms for CAV between simulation scenarios and realistic conditions.

Round pneumonia is a disease that occurs mainly in young children who have a clinical presentation of lower respiratory tract infection together with a chest radiograph showing round opacity. The mean age of patients with round pneumonia is five 5 years; it is uncommonly seen after the age of 8, as the collateral airways tend to be well developed by this age. In our case, we evaluated a 10-year-old girl who presented with fever, cough, and rounded densities on her chest x-ray. The rapid urinary antigen test for Streptococcus pneumoniae was positive, and serum anti-Mycoplasma pneumoniae antibodies were non-reactive. The diagnosis of round pneumonia was confirmed when the patient showed a complete recovery both clinically and radiographically after a course of penicillin and gentamicin.

Discretization of the convection term in a three-cell compact stencil has been widely used in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) of engineering because the second-order interpolation scheme is considered to be more robust and algorithmically simple than very high-order schemes. However, according to Godnunov's theorem, it has never been trivial to design an accurate and oscillation-free discretization scheme in a compact stencil. Over decades, various kinds of schemes have been proposed to increase accuracy beyond second-order without producing non-physical numerical oscillations. Representative schemes are polynomial-based non-linear interpolations such as TVD (Total Variation Diminishing), NVD (Normalized Variable Diagram) and third-order WENO (Weighted Essentially Non-oscillatory); and non-polynomial-based interpolations including RBF (Radial Basis Functions), LDLR (Local Double Logarithmic Reconstruction) and Tangent of Hyperbola for INterface Capturing (THINC). Within the semi-discretization finite volume method, existing reconstruction schemes suffer from different issues to some extent. For example, existing TVD schemes tend to cause smearing, clipping and squaring effects. Most WENO schemes and inconsistent RBF schemes are not scale-invariant. Especially, the improved WENO-Z scheme is neither scale-invariant nor mesh-size-independent. Computationally expensive non-polynomial-based interpolations usually have singularity and are dependent on tunable parameters. Thus, this work reviews reconstruction schemes by reformulating or calculating the reconstructed boundary value in the normalised-variable space where the characteristics of reconstruction schemes can be read directly. Through the accuracy analysis and the induction of existing schemes, this work proposes a Unified Normalised-variable Diagram (UND) where the following properties of a reconstruction scheme can be given diagrammatically: 1) the second-order and the third-order accuracy condition, 2) the TVD and CBC (Convection Boundedness Criterion) constrain, 3) the ENO condition, 4) the High Resolution (HR) property, 5) and the numerical dissipation and anti-dissipation error. The proposed UND framework is firstly demonstrated by the improvement of the existing schemes with a shape-preserving TVD limiter and a scale-invariant WENO scheme. Then, by defining the normalised reconstruction operator, a brand-new scheme named ROUND (Reconstruction Operator on Unified Normalised-variable Diagram) is proposed. The ROUND scheme is devised by directly configuring the normalised reconstruction operator of favourable properties on UND. This work presents a dissipative ROUND scheme in which normalised reconstruction operators are fully in the dissipative region of UND, and a low-dissipative ROUND scheme where rigorously adjusted anti-dissipation errors are introduced. Different formulations of ROUND schemes are presented to show the flexibility of designing schemes within the UND framework. The proposed dissipative and low-dissipative ROUND schemes are evaluated via benchmark tests which show the superior performance of ROUND on accuracy and resolution. Especially, in some cases, the low-dissipative ROUND schemes obtain comparable and even better resolution than classic fifth-order WENO. The significance of this work is further demonstrated by the preliminary results of applying ROUND on the FDM-IBM (Finite Difference Method and Immersed Boundary Method) framework.

In many countries, the COVID-19 pandemic led to increased public support for societal institutions including science, a phenomenon described as “rally-round-the-flag” dynamic. However, it is unclear if this dynamic has also reduced public resentment toward science such as science-related populist attitudes, that is, the preference of people’s common sense over allegedly elitist scientific knowledge. We test this, relying on individual-level data from panel surveys before and during the pandemic in Switzerland. Results show that science-related populist attitudes decreased after the pandemic started. The decrease was more pronounced among people who had been strong supporters of science-related populism prior to the pandemic, but otherwise spread equally across different sociodemographic and attitudinal segments of the Swiss population. This shows that the Coronavirus outbreak has the potential to undermine persistent (populist) resentments toward science and its epistemology among the general population.

El presente documento describe la experiencia obtenida a través de la práctica profesional realizada en el sector ambiental, de acuerdo con el convenio 269 de 2020, suscrito entre la universidad Santo Tomas y la empresa Eninco S.A., comprometida con el medio ambiente, dedicada a la interventoría, estudios de planificación, implementación y gerencia integral de proyectos ambientales entre otros temas de enfoque territorial. Práctica que tuvo por objeto brindar apoyo técnico, de conformidad con lo estipulado en el decreto 2245 de 2017, en el proceso de acotamiento de las rondas hídricas de los cuerpos de agua priorizados en los municipios de Santa María, Tarqui, Pitalito, Suaza en el Departamento del Huila. To investigate the effect of toothbrush bristles end configuration on the abrasive dentine wear at different brushing forces.One hundred and sixty bovine dentine samples were randomized into eight groups (Brushing with tapered-end bristles resulted in statistically significantly less abrasive dentine wear than round-end bristles regardless of the applied brushing force (1 N: 4.4 ± 1.5 vs. 7.7 ± 2.0 µm; 2 N: 7.7 ± 2.1 vs. 12.2 ± 2.7 µm; 3 N: 11.3 ± 2.6 vs. 19.4 ± 3.7 µm; 4 N: 11.2 ± 2.1 vs. 25.3 ± 4.8 µm). The interaction between bristle configuration and brushing force was statistically significantly (Tapered-end toothbrushes might be a safer choice for patients, especially when showing signs of non-carious cervical lesion. However, other toothbrush properties should also be considered.

Supplemental digital content is available in the text., Background Research indicates that having multiple healthcare professions and disciplines simultaneously at the patient’s bedside improves interprofessional communication and collaboration, coordination of care, and patient-centered shared decision-making. So far, no review has been conducted, which included qualitative studies, explores the feasibility of the method, and looks at differences in definitions. Objectives The aim of the study was to explore available evidence on the effects of interdisciplinary bedside rounds (IBRs) on patient centeredness, quality of care and team collaboration; the feasibility of IBRs; and the differences in definitions. Data Sources PubMed, Web of Science, and Cochrane databases were systematically searched. The reference lists of included articles and gray literature were also screened. Articles in English, Dutch, and French were included. There were no exclusion criteria for publication age or study design. Study Appraisal and Synthesis Methods The included (N = 33) articles were critically reviewed and assessed with the Downs and Black checklist. The selection and summarizing of the articles were performed in a 3-step procedure, in which each step was performed by 2 researchers separately with researcher triangulation afterward. Conclusions and Implications of Key Findings Interdisciplinary bedside round has potentially a positive influence on patient centeredness, quality of care, and team collaboration, but because of a substantial variability in definitions, design, outcomes, reporting, and a low quality of evidence, definitive results stay uncertain. Perceived barriers to use IBR are time constraints, lack of shared goals, varied responsibilities of different providers, hierarchy, and coordination challenges. Future research should primarily focus on conceptualizing IBRs, in specific the involvement of patients, before more empiric, multicentered, and longitudinal research is conducted.

BACKGROUND The coronoid process of mandible is thin, triangular projection, gives attachment to two muscles of mastication i.e. Temporalis & Masseter. Coronoid process being membranous bone is used as autogenous bone graft for cranio-maxillo-facial surgeries & has medicolegal importance. The study was done to determine the shape & size of coronoid process of mandible in both male & female, compared with previous studies. METHODS The study was conducted on 110 dry human mandibles in the Department of Anatomy, Subharti Medical College, Delhi-Haridwar Bypass Road, Meerut (U.P.). The measurement was done with the help of vernier callipers & the values were analysed to determine the shape and size of coronoid process of mandible in both male and female and was compared with the previous studies. It is useful for cranio-maxillo-facial surgeons, in correction of Alveolar defects, in the study of anthropology & medicolegal issues. RESULTS Results showed that 60% of population was with triangular process followed by 29% of hook shape & least being round shape i.e. 11%. Gender-wise calculation of length, breadth with standard deviation was calculated and compared. CONCLUSIONS The detailed knowledge of variation in shape of coronoid process is important to anatomists, forensic experts, maxillo-facial surgeons & to anthropologists. In the present study the triangular shape coronoid process is predominant in both male & female. It is used as graft for reconstruction of bony defect & in non-united fractures of mandible and also has medicolegal significance

Introduction: Over the last century, material science has made rapid progress. In orthodontics, not only the materials improved, but also the philosophies have changed. Orthodontic wires, which generate biomechanical forces through brackets for tooth movement, are central to the practice of this profession. Aim: To measure the force deflection properties of Nickel-Titanium (NiTi) wires of four manufacturers, used during orthodontic treatment. Materials and Methods: In this in-vitro study, 480 NiTi wires from four different manufacturers [American Orthodontics (AO), 3M-Unitek (3M), Rabbit Force Orthodontics (RO) and Modern Orthodontics (MO)], of various cross-sections was obtained. Samples of each wire were obtained by cutting the straightest distal portion of an arch wire, thus an approximate length of 5.5 cms was recovered. These wires were subjected to a five point bending test. Five lower anterior stainless steel brackets of tooth number 31, 32, 41, 42 (MBT 0.022” Libral traders Centrino brackets) were fixed with the face of the bracket facing upwards on the acrylic block. Each NiTi wire was placed in the slots of orthodontic brackets and secured with stainless steel ligature wires. These wires were subjected to artificial saliva (Wet Mouth) for 30 days at 37°C. This temperature was regulated by using an incubator. The main assessment criterion was the force deflection property of the wire material. Force deflection was measured using a graph paper where initially the wire was placed and plotted on the graph paper. After the deflection of the wire, it was again placed on the same graph paper such that wire ends coincided and the force deflection at the highest point was measured in millimetres using a digital Vernier Caliper (Mitutoyu). The Design of Experiments (DOE) model was used for analysis and a three-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with wire shape as covariate was used for analysing the variability. Results: A 0.014” NiTi wire showed more mean deflection when compared to 0.016” NiTi wire. When a comparison between 0.016”×0.022” and 0.017”×0.025” NiTi wires was done, mean deflection was almost the same. This paper shows new card-based cryptographic protocols with the minimum number of rounds, using private operations under the semi-honest model. Physical cards are used in card-based cryptographic protocols instead of computers to achieve secure multiparty computation. Operations that a player executes in a place where the other players cannot see are called private operations. Using three private operations—private random bisection cuts, private reverse cuts, and private reveals—the calculations of two variable Boolean functions and copy operations were realized with the minimum number of cards. Though the number of cards has been discussed, the efficiency of these protocols has not been discussed. This paper defines the number of rounds to evaluate the efficiency of the protocols, using private operations. Most of the meaningful calculations using private operations need at least two rounds. This paper presents a new two-round committed-input, committed-output logical XOR protocol, using four cards. Then, we show new two-round committed-input, committed-output logical AND and copy protocols, using six cards. Even if private reveal operations are not used, logical XOR, logical AND, and copy operations can be executed with the minimum number of rounds. Protocols for general n-variable Boolean functions and protocols that preserve an input are also shown. Lastly, protocols with asymmetric cards are shown.

Introduction: Educational rounds play an important role in clinical education. This study aims to assess students’ viewpoints on night time educational rounds in internal medicine and emergencywards. Methods: The present study was interventional one-group posttest-only design. The participants consisted of residents and interns at internal medicine and emergency wards at Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences. The participants in each group included a faculty member, residents (n=4) and interns (n=2). Each educational round took 1.5 hours. The status of educational rounds was assessed through a validated questionnaire. The participants filled out the questionnaire when contributed in the round at night after 3 times. Data was analyzed using SPSS V.19. Result: The result of the present study revealed that 73% participants were satisfied. "Necessity of night time round "," opportunity for asking questioning and contributing to the discussion" and “improvement of knowledge and learning"were identified by the participants as the reason for their satisfaction Conclusion: It is recommended that the night time educational round will be incorporated in medical education at hospitals. Ми досліджуємо процеси направленого оксидування поверхні n-GaAs, які відбуваються в результаті електрохімічної обробки напівпровідника в водно-спиртовому розчині соляної кислоти. Аналіз вольт-амперних характеристик проведено з метою дослідження кінетики процесу, це дало змогу встановити етапи утворення оксидної плівки та острівців. Морфологія поверхні оцінена за характеристиками площі, лінійних розмірів, цільності (Solidity) та округлості (Round) острівців. Показано, що оксидування відбувається за механізмом Странського-Крастанова. Дослідження формування власних оксидів на поверхні GaAs є вкрай важливим, адже, оксиди можуть істотно впливати на властивості матеріалу. Власні оксиди напівпровідників є пасивуючою плівкою, яка надійно захищає поверхню від дії навколишнього середовища та при взаємодії з агресивними речовинами. Крім того, власні оксиди GaAs проявляють напівпровідникові властивості, що дозволяє створювати гетероструктури оксид/ GaAs з гетеропереходами для оптоелектронних застосувань. We study the directed oxidation processes of the n-GaAs surface as a result of the electrochemical treatment of a semiconductor in an aqueous-alcoholic solution of hydrochloric acid. The analysis of the voltampere characteristics was carried out in order to study the process kinetics, this made it possible to establish the formation stages of the oxide film and islands. The surface morphology was estimated according to the area characteristics, linear sizes, Solidity and Round islands. It was shown that the oxidation occurs by the Stranski-Krastanov mechanism. The formation study of own oxides on the GaAs surface is extremely important, because oxides can significantly impact the material properties. The native oxides of semiconductors are an inactive film that reliably protects the surface from environmental action and when interacting with aggressive substances. In addition, the native oxides of GaAs exhibit semiconductor properties that allow to create oxide/GaAs heterostructures with heterojunctions for optoelectronic applications.

Beef bacon is an unexplored product without a standard identity. A market evaluation of beef bacon products being sold in southern Ontario found a great deal of variation in the processing methods being used in manufacturing beef bacon. The greatest source of variation was the cut used. This prompted a controlled investigation into the differences between beef bacon products manufactured from seven different cuts; brisket (IMPS#120), clod heart (IMPS#114E; divided horizontally into two halves; silverskin side and non-silverskin side), flank (IMPS#193), outside flat (IMPS#171B), and short plate (IMPS#121A; cut into a deboned short rib half and navel half). Differences were identified between and within cuts used for processing, compositional, and sensory properties. These data allow the beef industry to tailor their cut selection for beef bacon to an identity found to be most agreeable with the consumer base they wish to target.

The low energy adaptive clustering hierarchy (LEACH) is the classical hierarchical topology control algorithm and still widely used today in wireless sensor networks. There are some problems in LEACH such us an unreasonable selection and uneven distribution of cluster heads, not considering the residual energy of nodes, the cluster head is overloaded and there is a high energy consumption of data transmission. In this paper, a topology control algorithm with double cluster heads and multi-hop based on affinity propagation clustering (APDC-M) was proposed. In APDC-M, firstly, a cluster head election algorithm with double choices based on the affinity propagation clustering algorithm (AP) and reference node strategy (APDC) was proposed. APDC is responsible to elect the fusion cluster head for node clustering. Secondly, a forwarding cluster head is elected within each cluster. The forwarding cluster head is responsible for the data transmission in order to reduce the energy consumption of a single cluster head. Lastly, the forwarding cluster heads complete the data transmission from a cluster to the base station by the shortest path inter-cluster multi-hop mode. The comparison simulation results show that APDC-M can make the cluster head election more reasonable and the cluster head distribution more uniform, and effectively reduce the energy consumption of the cluster head nodes when transmitting data, thus prolonging the network life.

Remains of several deserted villages, feudal estates with affiliated hinterland facilities including homesteads, mills and several fishponds are located in the western tip of the Chrudim district (formerly a part of the Čáslav region), near the town of Ronov nad Doubravou. In the Middle Ages, this was a border area between the Lichtenburk demesne and the holdings of the Vilémov monastery (the border was the river Doubrava). However, the region also included further independent holdings. The landscape around the town underwent several radical transformations in the past which influenced the structure of the local settlement. One of them was the establishment of the town. This contribution centres on the comparison of the available written and archaeological sources in the observed microregion in the immediate surroundings of Ronov nad Doubravou.

In this paper, the shielding properties related to a protective metal enclosure with airflow aperture arrays are numerically analyzed. As a numerical model, a TLM method, either in a conventional form based on fine mesh to describe apertures presence or enhanced with the compact air-vent model is employed. The main focus in the paper is on examining the limits of applying the compact air-vent model for EMC problems solving. Namely, various values for the distance between neighboring apertures in the TLM air-vent models as well as the air-vent thicknesses are analyzed. Specifically, the analyses are conducted for a normal incident plane wave, vertically and horizontally polarized.

An investigation of structural and mechanical properties of abrasive tools on a ceramic binder for its durability is performed. It shows the relationship of operational parameters of the grinding wheel: cutting capacity, durability with a critical stress intensity factor, the solution of the effective work of fracture and specific work of crack initiation abrasive composite. The experimental dependence of the wear of the circle to the magnitude of deformation of the composite under the action of being the grinding force: Ру and Рz has been obtained.

In the current European standards for the design of timber structures, the issue of timber-to-timber joint type is addressed only for squared timber, which makes the pinpointing of the round timber bolted joints carrying capacity near-unfeasible due to the insufficient support in the current standards. To compare the behavior of this type of connections have been made a series of tests of round timber joints in different inclinations tensile load to the grains but also the reference tests of squared timber joints. Mechanical behavior of round and squared timber bolted joints were tested in the laboratory of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Ostrava. This paper presents results of static tests in tension at an angle of 0°, 90°, 60° to the grain of squared and round timber bolted joints.

Die Visite spielt eine zentrale Rolle für die erfolgreiche Behandlung von Patienten in der Psychosomatischen Medizin und Psychotherapie, aber auch darüber hinaus. Studien zur Visite beschäftigen sich hauptsächlich mit Kommunikation, Funktionen der Visite, Rolle der Pflegenden sowie Effektivität. Psychosomatische Visitenforschung dreht sich dabei vor allem um das Ulmer Visitenmodell, bei dem die Visite unter psychosomatischen Aspekten umgestaltet wird. Bisher existieren jedoch nach unserem Wissen kaum Studien zur Patientensicht hinsichtlich der psychosomatischen Visite und nur wenige aktuelle Studien zum Thema „Psychosomatische Visite“ insgesamt. Auch gibt es keine einheitlichen Rahmenrichtlinien zur psychosomatischen Visite, sodass von einer großen Variabilität bei den Visiten ausgegangen werden muss. Die vorliegende deskriptive explorative Studie hatte zum Ziel, die Patientensicht bezüglich des psychosomatischen Visitenformats zu eruieren, vor allem hinsichtlich Bedeutung, Zielen, Struktur und Rahmenbedingungen. Dazu wurden 168 Patienten, die sich in (teil-)stationärer psychosomatischer Behandlung befanden, mittels Fragebögen befragt. Zentrale Ergebnisse der Patientenumfrage sind: - Rahmenbedingungen: Die Patienten geben eine ideale Visitendauer von durchschnittlich 12 Minuten und eine individuelle Anpassung der Gesprächszeit an, weiterhin maximal vier Team-Teilnehmer bei der Visite (Median) und als Ort mehrheitlich den Gruppenraum. - Ablauf: Angegeben werden der Bedarf nach einem Informationsblatt bzw. einer Erklärung über die Visite generell vor der ersten Visite (Klarheit der Ziele der Visite auf einer Skala von Null bis Zehn: 5,9) sowie einem Ablaufplan vor jeder Visite. Healthcare is generally characterized by deep traditions, old working methods, and clear hierarchies. A central part of medical wards is the so-called “round”. During the round, physicians and nurses visit the patients and decide on further action. The round is a central process at wards and affect the rest of the working day, both for physicians and nurses. In this study, the round process was observed at Ward 4 at Norrtälje Hospital. The staff at Ward 4 experienced high-stress levels and this was related to an ineffective round according to a prestudy conducted by Clinical Innovation Fellowships. The project aimed at producing a new optimized round routine that would reduce the high-stress levels. The study was conducted through observations, dialogue with staff, interviews, surveys, comparative observations at other wards at Norrtälje Hospital and other hospitals as well as theoretical studies. The main difficulties discovered in our study with the round process at Norrtälje Hospital were that (i) information was communicated dual, (ii) the round process was too time-consuming, (iii) late decision-making, (iv) inefficient role for nurses and the (v) priority of work. The study resulted in a recommendation of a new round routine in which we have taken the staff’s interests into account as well as literature and research within the field of how developing healthcare processes. Our target was to increase communication and collaboration between physicians and nurses and furthermore exploiting human resources in the best possible way. Our main recommendation was to introduce a seated pre-round prior to commencing the daily round routine and to introduce a reconciliation meeting afterwards. I denna studien så undersöktes rondprocessen på avdelning 4 på Norrtälje Sjukhus. Bakgrunden till detta var att personalen präglats av höga stressnivåer och att det varit ett resultat av en ineffektiv rond. Detta framkom från en förstudie utförd av Clinical Innovation Fellowships. Vår studie syftade i att producera en ny effektivare rondrutin som i sin tur skulle minska stressen hos personalen. Sjukvårdspersonalen ansvarar för att personcentrera omvårdnaden där patienten sätts i fokus, och där vården byggs på respekt för patientens självbestämmande och integritet. Den traditionella ronden utförs i större del utan patientens närvaro. Bedside-rond (BR) syftar till att alla inblandade professioner rondar tillsammans med patienten vid patientens sängkant eller i ett avskilt rum för att göra patienten delaktig i sin egen vård. Syfte: Litteraturstudiens syfte var att beskriva om BR bidrar till personcentrerad vård, delaktighet och förbättrat teamarbete, ur patienten och sjukvårdspersonalens perspektiv. Metod: En litteraturstudie baserad på tio vetenskapliga originalartiklar. Databaser som användes i studien var PubMed, CINAHL och SveMed+. Resultatanalysen gjordes utifrån Graneheim och Lundmans (2004) kvalitativa innehållsanalys. Resultat: Resultatet av denna studie indikerar på att patienten och sjukvårdspersonalen upplever en ökad delaktighet genom BR. Sjukvårdspersonal upplever förbättring i utfallet av vården eftersom hela sjukvårdsteamet får en helhetsbild av patienten. Flera studier styrker att samarbetet i teamet förbättrades, och att BR bidrog till en ökad förståelse för varandras yrkesroller. Oenigheter rörande rondens mål framkom, men även avsaknad av en tydlig struktur försvårade genomförandet. Kommunikationen förbättrades enligt flertal studier, vilket framförallt berodde på den direkta kommunikationen mellan berörda teamdeltagare. Slutsats: BR skulle kunna införas som arbetsmodell istället för den traditionella ronden. Patienten blir mer delaktig i sin vård och samarbetet förbättras genom en effektivare kommunikation. Resultatet visar att patientens delaktighet ökar men för att kunna säkerhetsställa evidensen att patienten upplever att BR bidrar till en personcentrerad vård, behövs ännu mer forskning ur ett patientperspektiv. Healthcare professional are responsible for the person-centered healthcare where the patient is the center of attention, and where the healthcare is based on the patient’s integrity and autonomy. The traditional round is carried out mainly without the patient’s presence. Bedside-round (BR) aims at all professions involved with the patient at the patient’s bedside or in a separate room to make the patient involved in his or her own care. Aim: The purpose of the literature study was to describe whether BR contributes to person-centered care, participation and improved teamwork, from the patients’ and the healthcare professionals’ perspective. Method: A literature study based on 10 scientific original articles. Databases used in the study were PubMed, CINAHL and SveMed +. The results analysis was based on Graneheim and Lundman's (2004) qualitative analysis method. Results: The result of this study indicates that the patient and healthcare professionals experience increased participation through bedside-round. Healthcare professionals experience improvement in the outcome of care as the entire healthcare team gets an overall picture of the patient. Several studies confirm that team collaboration improved, and bedside-round contributed to an increased understanding of each other's professional roles. Disagreements concerning the goal of the round came true, but lack of a clear structure also complicated implementation. Communication improved according to several studies, mainly due to the direct communication between relevant team participants. Conclusion: BR could be introduced as a working model instead of the traditional round. The patients becomes more involved in their care and the collaboration is improved through more effective communication. The result shows that the patient's participation increases but in order to ensure the evidence that the patient experiences that BR contributes to a person-centered care, even more research is needed from a patient perspective.

According to Forster's theoretical categorization, flat characters are constructed and exist in their fictional realm around a single feature or quality. As this is the key criterion, Forster argues that flat characters can easily be recognized and remembered by the reader. Flat characters remain mostly the same through circumstances. In other words, flat characters never surprise the reader. Contrary to the nature of flat characters, round characters operate in an opposite direction to their counterparts. Round characters never remain the same throughout events, and it is not easy to recognize them since they do not exist under the dominance of a single trait. In addition to these, round characters are those who surprise the reader. Although Forster's categorisation of fictional characters has functioned well in most of the cases, some characters are not easily analysed under this formula. Franz Kafka's Gregor Samsa, for example, seems neither a round nor a flat character. Throughout his story, he remains the same. At the same time, he surprises the reader, which is not expected from him since he is mostly the same character in the text. Samsa's turning into an insect further complicates the definition of his roundness or flatness. Another example is Iris Murdoch's Mister Mars. Mister Mars is an animal. But at the same time he is a movie star, a celebrity. He has a pivotal role for the protagonist of the text. Therefore, the aim of this study is first to introduce the theoretical background of the nature of fictional characters and then to display some difficulties present particularly in Forster's classification through the characterisation of two non-human examples.

Je propose également de caractériser les allomorphes de façon contextuelle, d’élargir leur champ d’application et d’assouplir la notion de distribution complémentaire. This article presents some elements that help highlight the fact that the US-Andean Free Trade Agreement negotiations go beyond trade issues and encompass political issues. In order to do so, the author reviews how the negotiations have been actually carried out. It is shown that there is a ''political negotiation" which involves actors such as businessmen, NGOs, worker unions, among others. El artículo presenta algunos elementos que permiten constatar que la negociación para la firma de un Tratado de Libre Comercio va más allá del tema comercial y se inscribe, tarrlbién, en una esfera política. Para esto la autora analiza lo que han sido las negociaciones para la firma del TLC entre Estados Unidos y los países andinos, señalando que en esta otra "negociación política" se ven involucrados diversos actores como empresas, ONG's, organizaciones de trabajadores, entre otros.

Приведені результати експериментальних та числових досліджень теплообміну шахових пакетів плоскоовальних труб. Вивчено вплив режимних і геометричних факторів на інтенсивність теплообміну пакетів плоскоовальних труб. Встановлено, що при фіксованій геометрії труб (d2/d1 = const) варіювання крокових характеристик пакетів в межах та змінює інтенсивність теплообміну на (8...12) %, а варіювання d2/d1 від 2 до 5,0 при фіксованих крокових характеристиках на (10...25) %., Приведены результаты экспериментальных и численных исследований теплообмена шахматных пакетов плоскоовальных труб. Experiments were conducted in an open-circuit wind tunnel with rectangular cross-section in the range of Reynolds numbers change from 2000 to 30000. In the course of experiments, the average convective heat transfer coefficients were determined. When processing and analyzing experimental data and dependencies of Nusselt numbers on Reynolds numbers of bundles of flat-oval tubes, much attention was paid to factors, which may affect the heat transfer intensity. OBJETIVOS: Precisar la importancia de realizar el estudio de inmunohistoquímica y su correlación con el diagnóstico anatomopatológico de rutina para el diagnóstico de los tumores sólidos malignos de células redondas en pacientes pediátricos. MÉTODOS: Se realizó un estudio transversal, descriptivo, retrospectivo no experimental. Se estudiaron 147 pacientes con diagnóstico de neoplasia de células redondas, de los cuales 96 cumplieron con criterios de inclusión. RESULTADOS: La mayor frecuencia de casos la obtuvo el linfoma No Hodgkin (20,8 %), seguido del linfoma de Hodgkin (15,6 %) y tumor de Wilms (17,7.%). El grupo etario mayormente afectado fue el escolar (37,5.%). El género predominante fue el masculino (60,4 %). Las manifestaciones clínicas más frecuentes fueron masa palpable (76,04 %), fiebre (44,79.%), anemia (41,67 %), dolor (41,30 %) y pérdida de peso (33,33 %). Se evidenció la mayor correlación diagnóstica en el tumor de Wilms (100 %), seguido del linfoma No Hodgkin (80 %) y el linfoma de Hodgkin (75.%); la menor correlación la presentaron el sarcoma de Ewing y el neuroblastoma (41,7 %, ambos). La correlación total resultó “considerable” según la fuerza de concordancia del coeficiente de Kappa (k: 0,601. P=,000). CONCLUSIÓN: Se requiere la integración del examen histopatológico de rutina como método diagnóstico de pesquisa y del estudio de inmunohistoquímica como método auxiliar diagnóstico, para determinar la histogénesis de las neoplasias, descartar diagnósticos diferenciales, realizar un diseño terapéutico apropiado y precisar el pronóstico. OBJECTIVES: To precise the state and the importance of the study of immunohistochemistry and its correlation with the routine pathological diagnosis to use in diagnosis of malignant solid tumors of round cells in pediatric patients. METHODS: We was performed a transversal, descriptive and retrospective non-experimental study. We studied 147 patients diagnosed with round cell tumor, 96 of them were met in inclusion criteria. RESULTS: The highest frequency of the cases was Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (20.8 %), followed by the Hodgkin lymphoma (15.6 %) and the Wilms tumor (17.7 %). The age group most affected was the school (37.5.%). The male gender was the predominant (60.4 %). The most frequent clinical manifestations were a palpable mass (76.04 %), the fever (44.79 %), the anemia (41.67 %), the pain (41.30 %) and the weight loss (33.33 %). Evidenced the highest correlation in the diagnosis of Wilms tumor (100 %), followed by Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (80 %) and Hodgkin lymphoma (75 %); showed the lowest correlation between the Ewing sarcoma and neuroblastoma (41.7 %, both). The total correlation is “considerable” according to strength of agreement the Kappa coefficient (k: 0.601. P=0.000). CONCLUSION: It requires the integration of routine histopathological examination as diagnostic method of research and study of immunohistochemistry as an auxiliary diagnostic method to determine the histogenesis of neoplasm and exclude the differential diagnoses, make an appropriate therapeutic design and the determine prognosis of this group of patients.

This diploma thesis deals mainly with the Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness and its area of support number 3.2 ? Support for the offer of further education, namely in the South Bohemian region. Currently, the support for the offer of further education in this region is realized particularly through letters of intents from the first round of the call for this area of support which have been approved for future fruition. The fruition of the projects drafted in these letters of intents will have a primary impact especially on target groups of factual projects. The letters of intents from the second round of the call are now being evaluated. Letters of intents from this second round approved for fruition will be officially announced after the meeting of the South Bohemian Regional Council, which will be held in June this year. In the fourth quarter of 2011, the third round of the call in the South Bohemian region will be announced. The effect of the money invested in the offer of further education will manifest itself no sooner than after the year 2013, in which the programming period will be ended and utilization of financial resources from the European Union funds will be dramatically limited. The representatives of the South Bohemian Region are well aware of the importance of supporting this issue and there is evident endeavour to fill up educational blanks of the people living on its territory, which are caused mainly by the changes in the employment market structure in this region. For the current programming period and for the support for the offer of further education in the South Bohemian region, the allocation of 196 000 000 CZK has been detached from the European Union funds. After the first call, 13% of this allocation were spent. It is difficult to foresee how the financial resources utilization within this area of support will be continued till the year 2013.

Ronden på en kirurgisk akutvårdsavdelning är en central del i vårdprocessen för patient och personal. Ronden sker dagligen och mötet mellan patient, läkare, sjuksköterska och undersköterska sker på kort tid och det sker snabba beslut. Syftet var att undersöka patientens upplevelse av ronden på en kirurgisk akut vårdsavdelning. Med utgångspunkt från detta så valdes det en kvalitativ metod med fenomenologisk ansats och intervjuer som datainsamlings metod. Efter analys av totalt 11 patienters upplevelser av ronden kom det fram tre kategorier med tillhörande underkategorier i resultatet. Kategorin tid och rum har underkategorierna mångfaldens, tidens och placeringens betydelse, kategorin interaktion har bemötandets, rummets och erfarenhetens betydelse och kategorin delaktighet har informationens betydelse, självbestämmande och känsla av stöd. Informanternas upplevelser av ronden betonade att det var många deltagare, att mötet var kort och snabbt, deltagarnas placering på rummet och delgivande av information hade en betydelse. Dock ett bra bemötande från personalen, att känna sig delaktig, att känna ett stöd från sjuksköterskan, känsla av förtroende och tidigare negativa upplevelser gav en positiv upplevelse av ronden. Round on a surgical emergency ward is a central part of the care process for patients and staff. Round take place daily and the meeting between patient, doctors and other staff take place briefly and decisions are taken rapidly. The purpose was to examine the patient's experience of rounds on a surgical emergency ward. A qualitative and the phenomenon illogical approach were chosen with the interviews. After the analysis of the 11 patients' experiences of rounds show three categories and related subcategories which are labelled as time and room such as diversity, time and posting importance. Further more interaction such as importance of treatment, the space and experience and also participation such as the importance of information, self-determination and sense of support. The results show that the participants thought that there were various participants involved in the rounds, the meetings were short and brief, and the participants' presence in the room and the given information affected their experiences. However, a good treatment from the staff, sense of participation, a sense of support, a sense of confidence and previous experience gave participants positive experiences.

Cotton is a major crop on the Texas Southern High Plains. One of the main pests associated with cotton is weeds. Some common and troublesome weeds present in cotton include Palmer amaranth, devil’s-claw, and ivyleaf morningglory. Control of these weeds is crucial and information is important to area producers. Studies were conducted in 2005 and 2006 at the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station near Lubbock to 1) evaluate glyphosate timings in combination with preplant incorporated (PPI) and postemergence (POST) residual herbicides for improved Palmer amaranth and devil’s-claw control, 2) evaluate glyphosate application timings for Palmer amaranth competition in enhanced glyphosate-resistant cotton, and 3) evaluate glyphosate rates in combination with preemergence (PRE) and POST residual herbicides, and mechanical cultivation for improved ivyleaf morningglory control.

Syfte: Studiens syfte var att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelser av gåronden med fokus påinformation, patientens integritet och delaktighet.Metod: Deskriptiv design med kvalitativ ansats. Åtta omvårdnadsansvariga sjuksköterskor påtvå kirurgavdelningar intervjuades. Datainsamlingen gjordes med semistrukturerade intervjuersom bearbetades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Information var en stor del av gåronden och kunde både lyfta och sänka gåronden.Patienternas delaktighet och möjlighet till ett eget val beskrevs. Sjuksköterskorna beskrev hurpatienternas integritet kan både bevaras och kränkas under gåroden samt vilka fel somuppkommer.Diskussion: Sjuksköterskorna upplevde att information till patienterna som de förstod var enviktig del av gåronden. Att bevara patienternas integritet under gåronden ansågs varavårdpersonalens uppgift och i många fall enbart sjuksköterskornas. Att patienterna blirdelaktiga under gåronden beskrevs av sjuksköterskorna som både patienternas ochvårdpersonalens ansvar.Slutsats: Samtliga intervjuade sjuksköterskor upplevde att informationen under gåronden varviktigt och att patienten förstod den information som ges. Att patienterna gavs och togmöjligheten till att vara delaktiga var både vårdpersonalens och patientens ansvar.Sjuksköterskorna ansåg det viktigt att arbeta för att skydda patienternas integritet och värnaom privat information Purpose: The purpose of the study was to describe nurses’ experience of the bedside roundfocusing on information, integrity and patients participation.Method: Descriptive design with qualitative approach. Eight nurses in two different surgicaldepartments were interviewed. The data collection was done with semi-structured interviewmethod and analyzed using qualitative content analysis.Findings: Information is a crucial part of the bedside round and could both improve anddegrade it. They describe how patients privacy can both be preserved and impaired during thebedside round, patients participation and opportunity to make a choice.Discussion: The nurses felt that understandable information to the patients was an importantpart of the bedside round. That the patients were involved in the bedside round was describedby nurses as both patients and healthcare staffs’ responsibilities. To preserve patient privacyduring bedside round considered often to be nurses’ task.Conclusion: The nurses felt that information during the bedside round was important and thatthe patient understood the information that was given to them. That patients’ were given andhad the opportunity to be involved were both staffs and the patients’ responsibility. Thenurses felt that it was important to work for the patients' privacy and to protect the patients’private information.

Timber constructions made of round timber are becoming increasingly popular nowadays. They concern both non-pedestrian and pedestrian bridges, watchtowers and playground equipment. If these constructions are designed with a truss supporting system, the element joints are often made of bolts with slotted-in steel plates. Joints in round timber do not have sufficient support in existing Eurocodes. The problem is also in the characterization of cyclically loaded round timber joints (fatigue loading in wood). The aim of this paper is to present the results of static and dynamic tensile tests of round timber bolted joints with slotted – in steel plates along the grains. Some of these round timber joints samples were reinforced in the timber part (near the bolt) with different components (screws, special washers, steel bands, performed steel plates and nails). The main reason of the reinforcing of the joints was to increase the carrying capacity and safety of these joints in tension. Based on the results of static and dynamic round timber bolted joints tests, reinforcement of the bolted joints significantly increased joint carrying capacity and reliability.
