Trip purpose is essential information supporting many downstream tasks in intelligent transportation systems, such as travel behaviour comprehension, location-based service, and urban planning. The observation of trip purpose is a necessary aspect of travel surveys, as it is difficult to obtain clear annotated purposes by another approach. However, the limitations of sampling volume, survey budget, and survey frequency make it difficult to rely solely on travel surveys in the era of big data. There has long been a demand for methods to accurately infer trip purpose. An accurate, generalizable, and robust inference method for trip purpose can be the solid first step towards wide and diverse applications. Existing studies have made significant efforts to reveal features correlated with the trip purpose and leverage chaining patterns between trips. However, geographic contextual information has not often been considered. The spatial correlations and chaining patterns hidden in travelled zones are worth further exploration. Additionally, complex activity-zone interactions have not been considered in previous models. In terms of the trip chain level, the generation of a trip could not be only correlated to its directly associated zones but also the zones before or after it, and vice versa. Here, we propose a framework-Dual-Flow Attentive Network with Feature Crossing (DACross), specifically for chained trip purpose inference. We form trip chains based on a new modelling perspective that treats trip activities and travelled geographic zones as two chains with interactions. Correspondingly, we propose DACross, which consists of two parallel attentive branches and a co-attentive feature crossing module, for fully learning intra- and inter-chain dependencies. We conducted extensive experiments on four large-scale real-world datasets to evaluate not only the performance of DACross but also the generalizability of the proposed framework among different cities and various scenarios. Experimental results prove the overall superiority of the proposed DACross.

In order to improve the squeak and rattle (S&R) performance level of automotive interiors, the contact nonlinear characteristics of structural components need to be considered when performing interior noise analysis. The finite element model of S&R analysis of the interior assembly is built, and the time-domain vibration characteristics of the contact points between the interior panels are analyzed by applying external forced excitation. The interaction force between contact points is obtained according to the contact equivalent model between interior materials. The external excitation and internal interaction force are analyzed as the total excitation to obtain the response results. Through experimental verification, compared with the S&R performance division method, the analysis results are consistent with the test results. Based on this model, S&R risk optimization is carried out, and the risk level is significantly reduced. The research shows that the level of S&R performance can be accurately predicted by considering the nonlinear contact problem of the contact point in the S&R analysis of interior assembly, which has important guiding significance for the forward development and optimization design of automobile S&R performance.

In this paper, the take-up judder phenomenon caused by the accumulated geometric deviation of clutch plates is simulated and verified by experiments. Firstly, the vibration test and data analysis are carried out for the sample vehicle and related benchmark vehicles, and the vibration target is determined. Then, a simulation analysis and optimization model of the clutch engagement process in the vehicle take-up process was established, and the optimal control target was determined by multi-condition analysis of the accumulation geometric deviation factors of the clutch. Finally, several clutch deviation samples are verified, and total deviation of clutch control strategy is given. This paper provides a quantitative analysis method of the clutch cumulative geometric deviation in the take-up process, which provides a reference for the clutch parameter setting and the vibration control of the vehicle in the take-up process.

To address the rattling noise issue of a Twin-tube hydraulic shock absorber for a electric vehicle, a road test and subjective evaluation were performed. The diagnostic method of the rattling noise source of the shock absorber is studied, and three methods are used to process the test date: the fast Fourier transform can only obtain the main frequency band of the rattling noise; and the short-time Fourier transform can roughly diagnose the frequency band and the occurrence time; using wavelet transform technology combined with displacement signal can accurately lock the source of rattling noise in the rebound stroke. Furthermore, combined with the internal valve configuration of the shock absorber, the rattling noise source is diagnosed in the rebound valve and the compensation valve. The time of rattling noise and the corresponding working stroke of shock absorber can be quickly locked by using the wavelet transform, which is of great significance to solve the problem of shock absorber rattling noise caused by deficiency design of the internal valve architecture of the shock absorber.

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to explore the clinical detection and prognosis of coagulation function in patients with liver failure and sepsis. METHODS: The plasma fibrinogen (FIB), factor II, factor VII, factor V, factor IV, antithrombin III (ATIII), platelet (PLT), mean PLT volume (MPV), D-dimer, prothrombin activity (PTA), and fibrin degradation product (FDP) levels and thromboelastogram values were detected in patients with liver failure complicated with sepsis and compared with those in the liver failure and liver cirrhosis groups. The patients with liver failure complicated with sepsis were analyzed by univariate and multivariate logistic regression, and the regression equation was established. Baw resonator working at X band based on single crystalline LiNbO3 (LN) thin film is investigated by finite element simulation, and the influence of the electrode and LN thickness on the frequency and electromechanical coupling coefficient of the device is simulated. With an Al electrode and 300 nm thick LN, a resonator with a resonant frequency above 8 GHz is designed by the Mason model. The LN BAW is fabricated by ion-slicing technique and integrated with a SiO2/Ta2O5 Bragg reflector, and the microstructure of the LN thin film is characterized by transmission electron microscope and atomic force microscope. The fabricated LN BAW resonator is finally tested, and resonant frequency and the anti-resonant frequency are 8.04 GHz and 8.49 GHz, respectively, resulting in a large electromechanical coupling coefficient of 13.06%.

Graphical abstract, Introduction The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has endangered global health, the world economy, and societal values. Despite intensive measures taken around the world, morbidity and mortality remain high as many countries face new waves of infection and the spread of new variants. Worryingly, more and more variants are now being identified, such as 501Y.V1 (B.1.1.7) in the UK, 501Y.V2 (B.1.351) in South Africa, 501Y.V3 in Manaus, Brazil, and B.1.617/B.1.618 in India, which could lead to a severe epidemic rebound. Moreover, some variants have a stronger immune escape ability. To control the new SARS-CoV-2 variant, we may need to develop and redesign new vaccines repeatedly. So it is important to investigate how our immune system combats and responds to SARS-CoV-2 infection to develop safe and effective medical interventions. Objectives In this study, we performed a longitudinal and proteome-wide analysis of antibodies in the COVID-19 patients to revealed some immune processes of COVID-19 patients against SARS-CoV-2 and found some dominant epitopes of a potential vaccine. Methods Microarray assay, Antibody depletion assays, Neutralization assay. Results We profiled a B-cell linear epitope landscape of SARS-CoV-2 and identified the epitopes specifically recognized by either IgM, IgG, or IgA. We found that epitopes more frequently recognized by IgM are enriched in non-structural proteins. We further identified epitopes with different immune responses in severe and mild patients. Moreover, we identified 12 dominant epitopes eliciting antibodies in most COVID-19 patients and identified five key amino acids of epitopes. Furthermore, we found epitope S-82 and S-15 are perfect immunogenic peptides and should be considered in vaccine design. Conclusion This data provide useful information and rich resources for improving our understanding of viral infection and developing a novel vaccine/neutralizing antibodies for the treatment of SARS-CoV-2.

Electric power steering (EPS) system is becoming the primary source of Electric Vehicle (EV) noise due to absence of classic power train. The rattle noise produced by EPS, which is easily discernible when driving. Since the conventional subjective evaluation approach makes it difficult to identify the source, it is required to establish an objective way to solve such an issue. In this paper, the principle of multiple coherence method is first addressed analytically, and then is employed to analyze the vibration signal acquisition from EPS different points, meanwhile, combine with in-car sound signal, to accurately identify the specific location.

Squeak and Rattle problems seriously affect the quality of the vehicles. In the adjustment stage of the automobile development process, engineers mainly rely on subjective evaluation to diagnose squeak and rattle noises, which is prone to misjudgment, missed judgment and time-consuming problems. There are gaps in relevant objective evaluation methods. This article proposed that speaker identification is used to identify squeak and rattle noises from the audio recorded in the test, to achieve objective and accurate results. In this paper, four kinds of squeak and rattle noise audios are used as samples, Mel Frequency Cepstrum Coefficient is extracted as feature vector to construct target Gaussian mixture models (GMM). The expectation, variance and correlation coefficient of the Gaussian mixture model can be calculated to describe the difference of multiple squeak and rattle noises. Using samples to judge accuracy rate, the results indicated that the acceptance accuracy rate reaches 100 %, and the rejection accuracy rate reaches more than 95 %.

The biological characteristics of the temporomandibular joint disc involve complex cellular network in cell identity and extracellular matrix composition to modulate jaw function. The lack of a detailed characterization of the network severely limits the development of targeted therapies for temporomandibular joint-related diseases. Here we profiled single-cell transcriptomes of disc cells from mice at different postnatal stages, finding that the fibroblast population could be divided into chondrogenic and non-chondrogenic clusters. We also find that the resident mural cell population is the source of disc progenitors, characterized by ubiquitously active expression of the NOTCH3 and THY1 pathways. Lineage tracing reveals that Myh11+ mural cells coordinate angiogenesis during disc injury but lost their progenitor characteristics and ultimately become Sfrp2+ non-chondrogenic fibroblasts instead of Chad+ chondrogenic fibroblasts. Overall, we reveal multiple insights into the coordinated development of disc cells and are the first to describe the resident mural cell progenitor during disc injury.

A shearing motion inevitably occurs along the creep distance on the macroscopic surface of two objects before the friction transformed from static into kinetic state when they come into contact each other. In the process of shearing, it will creep to the characteristic distance before slipping on the supporting surface, then proceed to slip on the contacting points, such an alternating motion between contact surfaces is prone to result in rattling noise. In this paper, the mechanism of the automotive rattling or clicking noise produced in bolted joints surface will be addressed mathematical through the characteristic distance of stick-slip model. Finally, it is suggest that how to prevent these noises in the early design phase.

In this study, we investigate harnessing fibrocartilage stem cell (FCSC) capacities by regulating tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) signaling for cartilage repair in temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis (TMJOA). Stem cell specifics for FCSCs were characterized in the presence of TNF-α. Etanercept as a TNF-α inhibitor and BAY 11-7082 as an Nf-κB inhibitor were used to study TNF-α regulation of FCSCs. Lineage tracing was performed in Gli1-CreERT+;Tmfl/fl mice when etanercept (1 mg/kg, every 3 d) or isometric vehicle was subcutaneously injected to trace specific changes in FCSCs. Surgically induced TMJOA Sprague-Dawley rats were generated with BAY 11-7082 (5 mg/kg, every 3 d) or vehicle subcutaneous injection to investigate the functional role of TNF-α/Nf-κB in TMJOA. Anterior disc displacement (ADD) rabbits were used to analyze the therapeutic effect of etanercept as a TMJOA intra-articular treatment with etanercept (0.02 mg in 100 μL, every 2 wk) or isometric vehicle. In vitro, TNF-α inhibited proliferation of FCSCs and increased FCSC apoptosis. TNF-α activation interfered with osteogenic and chondrogenic differentiation of FCSCs, while etanercept could partially recover FCSC specificity from TNF-α. FCSC lineage tracing in Gli1-CreERT+;Tmfl/fl mice showed that the chondrogenic capacity of Gli1+ cell lineage was markedly suppressed in osteoarthritis cartilage, the phenotype of which could be significantly rescued by etanercept. Specifically blocking the Nf-κB pathway could significantly weaken the regulatory effect of TNF-α on FCSC specificity in vitro and in TMJOA rats in vivo. Finally, intra-articular etanercept treatment efficiently rescued TMJ cartilage degeneration and growth retardation in ADD rabbits. Inhibition of TNF-α signaling reduced Nf-κB transcripts and recovered FCSC specificities. In vivo, etanercept treatment effectively rescued the osteoarthritis phenotype in TMJOA mice and ADD rabbits. These data suggest a novel therapeutic mechanism whereby TNF-α/Nf-κB inhibition promotes FCSC chondrogenic capacity for cartilage transformation in TMJOA.

Osteochondroma is a common benign skeletal disorder for which different molecular and histological features of long bones have been reported. We investigated cell-of-origin and molecular mechanisms of a rare condylar osteochondroma (CO).Human fibrocartilage stem cells (hFCSCs) isolated from CO and normal condyle tissue were used for RNA sequencing, real-time PCR, Western Blotting, immunohistology, flowcytometry, as well as for chondrogenic differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis detection assays.HFCSCs were fewer in number with weaker proliferative capacity and higher apoptosis ratio in the CO group. During the chondrogenic inducing process, hFCSCs from CO were prone to form more mature and hypertrophic cartilage. The result of RNA sequencing of hFCSCs from CO and normal condyle revealed a correlation between the PI3K/AKT signalling pathway and CO. Activated PI3K/AKT signalling might lead to functional changes in hFCSCs by enhancing cell apoptosis in the developmental process of CO. Increased expression of BCL2-like protein 11 (BIM) in CO tissue also supports this conclusion. Furthermore, the activation of the PI3K/AKT pathway in TMJ of mice induced histological disorder and increased apoptosis in condylar cartilage.We conclude that the activation of PI3K/AKT signalling in hFCSCs of CO suggests a new hypothesis for the cell-of-origin of human CO and another possible target to treat it.

With the reduction of vehicle interior noise, the Buzz, Squeak and Rattle (BSR) noises have become an intractable problem that needs to be tackled urgently. Seat system rattle noises have a large contribution to the passengers’ complaints, due to the close distance between the passengers and seats. The seat structure and its components can be sources of rattle noise based on their physical characteristics. The aim of the present paper is to characterize the sound quality property of rattle noise in seat system, and subsequently, use the characteristics of the rattle noises to assess the subjective responses to the noise. In this study, sound metrics are computed for the signals recorded at different points in the seat system. To be more specific, the signals are recorded before and after the durability test in different loading states. Consequently, the characteristics of the rattle noises were compared and analyzed, and the jury test was performed. On this basis, a rattle index and evaluation models were developed. It is expected that the developed rattle evaluation system and sound quality index can be used to reduce the automotive interior rattle noise in terms of subjective levels as well as objective levels.

To mitigate the shortage of freshwater resource in the island and coastal regions, using seawater (SW) for concrete mix can provide significant economic and environmental benefits. To achieve a safe and reliable application, in-depth investigation is needed on hydration of Portland cement in SW. The composition of solid and liquid phases in hydrated Portland cement was quantitively determined and analysed in this study. The use of SW not only significantly increases the hydration rate of clinker but also affects the evolution of phase assemblage. Both the thermodynamic calculations and experimental determinations indicates the formation of Friedel's salt (FS) instead of sulfo-AFm in hydrated cement by SW, implying sulfate ions cannot compete with chloride ions to combine with AFm phases. The characteristic reaction in SW leads to higher sulfate concentration, thus indirectly hindering ettringite (AFt) conversion at the late stage. Through the experimental quantification of thermogravimetric analysis and X-ray diffraction analysis, the kinetic model of clinker dissolution was modified to be more suitable for the hydration of Portland cement in SW. The calculation from coupled models exhibits a novel method to evaluate the evolution of phases in cement hydration. Through model calculations, 3.70% higher solid volume and 12.2% lower liquid volume were obtained in the cement-SW paste at the end of the hydration, which may cause the mechanical properties to be more sensitive under environmental humidity and the temperature.

At present, in the application of Bayesian network (BN) structure learning algorithm for structure learning, the network scale increases with the increase of number of nodes, resulting in a large scale of structure search space, which is difficult to calculate, and the existing learning algorithms are inefficient, making BN structure learning difficulty increase. To solve this problem, a BN structure optimization method based on local information is proposed. Firstly, it proposes to construct an initial network framework with local information and uses the Max-Min Parents and Children (MMPC) algorithm to construct an undirected network framework to reduce the search space. Then the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is used to strengthen the algorithm’s optimization ability by constructing a new position and velocity update rule and improve the efficiency of the algorithm. Experimental results show that under the same sample data set, the algorithm can obtain a more accurate BN structure while converging quickly, which verifies the correctness and effectiveness of the algorithm.

The zirconia (ZrO2) ceramic dental implant abutment was prepared by DLP (Digital Light Processing) 3D printing technology. The effect of different heat treatment parameters on the sintering quality of ZrO2 was studied. According to TG-DSC, XRD, Raman, SEM and other characterization methods, it could be determined that best sintering parameter was set at 1450 °C for 1.5 h. The final product has a good morphology without holes and other defects, and the relative density is 99.48%. The ZrO2 samples printed in different directions have obvious anisotropy. The three-point bending strength of the sample in the horizontal direction is better than that in the vertical direction, and the strength is 600 MPa. The fatigue load simulation results show that the smaller the pre-angle is, the smaller the maximum stress is and the higher the safety factor is.

Maxillofacial bone defects are commonly seen in clinical practice. A clearer understanding of the regulatory network directing maxillofacial bone formation will promote the development of novel therapeutic approaches for bone regeneration. The fibroblast growth factor (FGF) signalling pathway is critical for the development of maxillofacial bone. Klotho, a type I transmembrane protein, is an important components of FGF receptor complexes. Recent studies have reported the presence of Klotho expression in bone. However, the role of Klotho in cranioskeletal development and repair remains unknown. Here, we use a genetic strategy to report that deletion of Klotho in Osx-positive mesenchymal progenitors leads to a significant reduction in osteogenesis under physiological and pathological conditions. Klotho-deficient mensenchymal progenitors also suppress osteoclastogenesis in vitro and in vivo. Under conditions of inflammation and trauma-induced bone loss, we find that Klotho exerts an inhibitory function on inflammation-induced TNFR signaling by attenuating Rankl expression. More importantly, we show for the first time that Klotho is present in human alveolar bone, with a distinct expression pattern under both normal and pathological conditions. In summary, our results identify the mechanism whereby Klotho expressed in Osx+-mensenchymal progenitors controls osteoblast differentiation and osteoclastogenesis during mandibular alveolar bone formation and repair. Klotho-mediated signaling is an important component of alveolar bone remodeling and regeneration. It may also be a target for future therapeutics.

Mature vasculature is important for the survival of bioengineered tissue constructs, both in vivo and in vitro; however, the fabrication of fully vascularized tissue constructs remains a great challenge in tissue engineering. Indirect three-dimensional (3D) bioprinting refers to a 3D printing technique that can rapidly fabricate scaffolds with controllable internal pores, cavities, and channels through the use of sacrificial molds. It has attracted much attention in recent years owing to its ability to create complex vascular network-like channels through thick tissue constructs while maintaining endothelial cell activity. Biodegradable materials play a crucial role in tissue engineering. Scaffolds made of biodegradable materials act as temporary templates, interact with cells, integrate with native tissues, and affect the results of tissue remodeling. Biodegradable ink selection, especially the choice of scaffold and sacrificial materials in indirect 3D bioprinting, has been the focus of several recent studies. The major objective of this review is to summarize the basic characteristics of biodegradable materials commonly used in indirect 3D bioprinting for vascularization, and to address recent advances in applying this technique to the vascularization of different tissues. Furthermore, the review describes how indirect 3D bioprinting creates blood vessels and vascularized tissue constructs by introducing the methodology and biodegradable ink selection. With the continuous improvement of biodegradable materials in the future, indirect 3D bioprinting will make further contributions to the development of this field.

With focus on NVH performance, this paper studies the range extender system control strategy such as the initial start speed, operating points, speed up and down control method between operating points of the range extender, etc. At the same time, the confirmation of the operating points of the range extender based on the full vehicle frequency distribution and vibration and noise level of key points (seat rail, driver’s inner ear) was performed. Finally, we conducted objective test and compared the test data with benchmark vehicles.

Urban sustainable renewal has received extensive attention in a wide range of fields, including urban planning, urban management, energy management, and transportation. Given that environmental resource conservation is critical to urban sustainability renewal, this study highlighted the imbalance among green space, urban development, and transportation accessibility. Here, a novel node-place-green model is presented to measure sustainable urban development; meanwhile, deep learning is utilized to identify and extract the green space to measure the environmental index. Based on the generated node, place, and green value, urban developing status could be classified into nine modes for further analysis of transportation, urban function, and ecological construction. The experimental results of Harbin reveal the feasibility of the proposed method in providing specific guidelines for urban planning and policies on sustainable development.

In this study, a total of 177 flexural experimental tests of corroded reinforced concrete (CRC) beams were collected from the published literature. The database of flexural capacity of CRC beam was established by using unified and standardized experimental data. Through this database, the effects of various parameters on the flexural capacity of CRC beams were discussed, including beam width, the effective height of beam section, ratio of strength between longitudinal reinforcement and concrete, concrete compressive strength, and longitudinal reinforcement corrosion ratio. The results indicate that the corrosion of longitudinal reinforcement has the greatest effect on the residual flexural capacity of CRC beams, while other parameters have much less effect. In addition, six available empirical models for calculating the residual flexural strength of CRC beams were also collected and compared with each other based on the established database. It indicates that though five of six existing empirical models underestimate the flexural capacity of CRC beams, there is one model overestimating the flexural capacity. Finally, a newly developed empirical model is proposed to provide accurate and effective predictions in a large range of corrosion ratio for safety assessment of flexural failure of CRC beams confirmed by the comparisons.
