Abstract

Various modifications of complex pulsed laser and magnetron deposition thin-film structures unit are presented. They include joint and separate variants of layer deposition. Unit realizes the plasma parameters control and enhances the possibility of laser-plasma and magnetron methods of coatings deposition.

Abstract

We have obtained and analyzed the optical transmission spectra of diamond-like carbon films deposited on quartz substrates by pulsed laser deposition (λ = 1064 nm, τ = 20 nsec, q = 4.9·108 W/cm2) under vacuum (p = 2.6·10−3 Pa). Based on the spectra obtained, we have estimated the size of the bandgap by the Tauc method, and also have studied the growth dynamics of the coatings formed.

Abstract

A study was made of the process occurring in the course of laser implantation of tellurium and selenium atoms in indium antimonide. The surface topography after irradiation, the implanted atom profiles, and electrophysical characteristics of the junctions formed in indium antimonide were investigated. Possible mechanisms of the diffusion of impurity atoms from diffusant films of different thicknesses subjected to illumination with laser radiation of different energy densities were analyzed.
