1. Features of Microstructure of Chemically Obtained Graphene-Like Particles

Abstract

В роботi методами електронної мiкроскопiї, ЕМР та Раманiвської спектроскопiї дослiджуються графеноподiбнi структури. Графеноподiбнi структури були отриманi хiмiчною обробкою та ультразвуковим диспергуванням вихiдного терморозширенного графiту в рiзних хiмiчних середовищах. В результатi дослiджень були оцiненi кiлькiсть графiтових шарiв в графеноподiбних структурах, форма окремих частинок та ї ї структурно-морфологiчнi особливостi, а також однорiднiсть розмiрiв частинок графеноподiбних структур, отриманих рiзними методами з використанням рiзних хiмiчних реагентiв., The graphene-like structures are investigated by methods of electron microscopy, EMR, and Raman spectroscopy. They were obtained by the chemical treatment and the sonication in different reagents. As a source for obtaining the graphene-like structures, the thermoexfoliated graphite was used. The number of graphite layers in the graphene-like structures, the shapes of individual particles, structural-morphological characteristics, and the homogeneity of the sizes of particles for specimens of the graphene-like structures obtained with different methods are estimated.

Abstract

This article documents the addition of 299 microsatellite marker loci and nine pairs of single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) EPIC primers to the Molecular Ecology Resources (MER) Database. Loci were developed for the following species: Alosa pseudoharengus, Alosa aestivalis, Aphis spiraecola, Argopecten purpuratus, Coreoleuciscus splendidus, Garra gotyla, Hippodamia convergens, Linnaea borealis,Menippe mercenaria,Menippe adina, Parus major, Pinus densiflora, Portunus trituberculatus, Procontarinia mangiferae, Rhynchophorus ferrugineus, Schizothorax richardsonii, Scophthalmus rhombus, Tetraponera aethiops, Thaumetopoea pityocampa, Tuta absoluta and Ugni molinae. These loci were cross-tested on the following species: Barilius bendelisis, Chiromantes haematocheir, Eriocheir sinensis, Eucalyptus camaldulensis, Eucalyptus cladocalix, Eucalyptus globulus, Garra litaninsis vishwanath, Garra para lissorhynchus, Guindilla trinervis, Hemigrapsus sanguineus, Luma chequen. Guayaba, Myrceugenia colchagu¨ensis, Myrceugenia correifolia, Myrceugenia exsucca, Parasesarma plicatum, Parus major, Portunus pelagicus, Psidium guayaba, Schizothorax richardsonii, Scophthalmus maximus, Tetraponera latifrons, Thaumetopoea bonjeani, Thaumetopoea ispartensis, Thaumetopoea libanotica, Thaumetopoea pinivora, Thaumetopoea pityocampa ena clade, Thaumetopoea solitaria, Thaumetopoea wilkinsoni and Tor putitora. This article also documents the addition of nine EPIC primer pairs for Euphaea decorata, Euphaea formosa, Euphaea ornata and Euphaea yayeyamana.

Abstract

National audience; Le projet se propose d’appliquer au cas de la mangue les concepts de la production fruitière intégrée, pris dans son acception la plus large, c'est-à-dire reposant sur la préservation de l’environnement, sur la viabilité économique des exploitations, mais aussi sur la qualité des fruits. Celle-ci est considérée comme un continuum, de la fleur au consommateur, impliquant une approche sur l’ensemble de la filière. Le projet mobilise un partenariat composé de la recherche, de l’expérimentation, du développement et de la formation agricoles. Il est structuré en quatre actions complémentaires et interactives visant à comprendre les pratiques et les stratégies des producteurs, à valider en milieu réel des modes de conduite innovants, à améliorer la qualité des mangues et leur durée de vie aprèsrécolte, et à former les acteurs de la filière. Des connaissances scientifiques, techniques et organisationnelles ont été acquises, de l’échelle du fruit à celle de la filière, apportant des éléments concrets pour faire évoluer cette dernière vers une démarche de production fruitière intégrée. Ces travaux se poursuivent à travers de nouveaux projets en partenariat, montrant ainsi l’effet multiplicateur apporté par cette initiative.

Abstract

International audience; The C 1s and N 1s core levels of carbon nitrides are composed of several contributions whose assignment is controversial due to the lack of appropriate reference materials and the great variety of configurations of carbon and nitrogen. From the comparison of nitrogen-containing polymeric compounds and solid carbon references an assignment of the individual lines of the C 1s and N 1s core levels is given. Nitrogen-containing polymeric compounds are used as reference materials as they provide a more adequate account of the screening of the ionized states in the photoemission process than molecular references. This screening effect is even more pronounced in case of aromatic or cyanogen-type bonds where delocalized π electrons strongly affect the screening of the core hole. In the second part of the paper these assignments are used to interpret the changes of the chemical environment in pulsed laser deposited carbon nitride films as a result of systematic changes in laser fluence, nitrogen pressure, and target-to-substrate distance. The effect of subsequent annealing and sputtering by argon ions is also discussed. The chemical structure of the films is dominated by nitrile, N(pyramidal)-C(trigonal) and nitrogen in sp2 hybridization (with the electron doublet out of plane) inserted into carbon graphitic network at high laser fluence, and nitrile and pyridinic sp2-hybridized configurations at low laser fluence, in good line with the fact that sp3 and sp2 hybridization states around carbon and nitrile configuration with nitrogen, are preferred.

Abstract

Superficial adenopathy is the most frequent clinical manifestation of lymphoma, both at initial workup and later when disease recurs. Data obtained by means of physical examination and ultrasonography (US) of the cervicosupraclavicular, axillary, and inguinal regions were compared for 120 patients, 60 at the time of initial staging and 60 during follow-up for a previously treated lymphoma. Twenty-nine in the second group had recurrent disease, as confirmed with histologic examination. For all 120 patients, US revealed clinically impalpable lesions in an average of 10.8% of cases for the cervicosupraclavicular region, 17.9% for the axillary region, and 4.1% for the inguinal region. Eight of the 29 relapses were not detected at physical examination, and three were demonstrated solely with US. These findings emphasize the value of US exploration of the superficial node-bearing regions in patients with lymphoma, during both initial staging and follow-up.

Abstract

IVP, US and CT findings for 5 rare cases of non-renal lymphomas of the urinary tract are discussed. The 4 non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL) and 1 Hodgkin's disease (HD) involved the ureter (2 cases), bladder (2 cases) and renal pelvis (1 case). US and CT visualised the pyelic lesion (undetected by urography) as wall thickening and detected the two ureteral lesions (which were also revealed by antegrade pyelography for the 1 HD and by retrograde pyelography for an ureteral NHL). One bladder lesion was associated with a renal lesion (CT demonstrated retroperitoneal lymph nodes); the other was a multinodular form infiltrating the entire bladder.
