Background: Pre-eclampsia is responsible for significant maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality worldwide. Serum LDH level is a useful biomarker to detect the extent of cellular injury in women with preeclampsia. Thus it can be used to predict prognosis for both mother and fetus and timely management. Materials & Methods: This was a hospital based analytical observational study in department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, SMS Medical College, Jaipur from April 2021 to August 2022 on 250 women with ≥28 weeks gestation with pre-eclampsia. Results: Mean serum LDH levels were higher in female with pre-eclampsia with severe features as compared to female with pre-eclampsia without severe features(p associated with poor fetomaternal outcome. Conclusion: S.LDH levels can be used to predict the prognosis of pre-eclampsia. Women with pre-eclampsia with raised serum LDH levels mandate close monitoring, prompt and correct management to reduce fetomaternal morbidity and mortality. &nbsp

Background: To evaluate cerebroplacental ratio in pregnancy with IUGR. Methods: This is a prospective observational study conducted at Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, SMS Medical College & attached Hospital Jaipur from April 2021 till May 2022 on 65 women admitted in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, SMS Medical College, Jaipur. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria and taking informed consent, routine investigation and ultrasonography was done and fetal doppler was studied and cerebroplacental ratio was studied Results: From all our cases we has studied Sensitivity, Specificity, Positive Predictive Value (PPV), Negative Predictive Value (NPV), Accuracy were calculated and results combined arriving to an conclusion that UA PI was 37.14% sensitivity, 86.67% specificity, 76.47% positive predictive value, 54.17% negative predictive value and accuracy of 60%. The MCA PI has 22.86% sensitivity, 100% specificity, 100% positive predictive value, and 52.63% negative predictive value and accuracy of 58.63%. The CP Ratio calculates through (MCA PI/ UA PI) has sensitivity of 37.14%, specificity 100%, positive predictive value 100%, negative predictive value 57.69% and accuracy of 66.15%. Conclusion: Abnormal CP ratio is a better predictor of adverse perinatal outcome in IUGR. Doppler ultrasound plays a significant role in the management of growth restricted fetuses by early identification and thus helps in line of management and obstetrical surveillance. &nbsp

The current trends and advancements in IoT have resulted in interactive, innovative and automated implementations of smart systems. The paper proposes a smart office automation system that creates an employee friendly atmosphere with the help of IoT, interconnected sensor networks and efficient database system. At the entrance, employees don’t have to manually mark their presence in the office every day. Instead of this, it gets done as soon as they enter the office using the RTLS tags without touching or standing in the queue as it prevails in most of the offices. The AC units and appliances power up automatically according to the entrance and occupancy of the employees using various sensors and interconnected network system. The owner of the company can keep a check on the resource utilization using the smart energy management sensors. Also, the employees can check the availability of meeting room and can schedule a slot for their meeting by just a click. The paper puts forward feasible, cost effective as well as resource efficient system.

GnRH analogues are the standard therapy but expensive therapy for the suppression of pubertal changes in transsexual individuals. In the 1960s, medroxyprogesterone acetate was found to be efficacious in treating central precocious puberty by inhibiting the secretion of gonadotropins and/or interfering with gonadal steroid synthesis. To avoid the adverse effects and prohibitive cost of gonadotropin releasing hormone analogues, this study utilized medroxyprogesterone as an alternative treatment for puberty sex hormone suppression. The goal of this retrospective chart review is to determine the efficacy and safety of medroxyprogesterone. Sixteen subjects with Gender Identity Disorder less than 19 years were offered medroxyprogesterone to suppress puberty sex steroids. Seven male-to-female individuals were treated with the oral form of medroxyprogesterone. Six female-to-male individuals used depot medroxyprogesterone acetate; one used oral; and two refused. Gestures play an important role in face-to-face communication and have been increasingly studied via functional magnetic resonance imaging. Although a large amount of data has been provided to describe the neural substrates of gesture comprehension, these findings have never been quantitatively summarized and the conclusion is still unclear. This activation likelihood estimation meta-analysis investigated the brain networks underpinning gesture comprehension while considering the impact of gesture type (co-speech gestures vs. speech-independent gestures) and task demand (implicit vs. explicit) on the brain activation of gesture comprehension. The meta-analysis of 31 papers showed that as hand actions, gestures involve a perceptual-motor network important for action recognition. As meaningful symbols, gestures involve a semantic network for conceptual processing. Finally, during face-to-face interactions, gestures involve a network for social emotive processes. Our finding also indicated that gesture type and task demand influence the involvement of the brain networks during gesture comprehension. The results highlight the complexity of gesture comprehension, and suggest that future research is necessary to clarify the dynamic interactions among these networks.

To fully understand damage mechanisms and be able to design components, its behavior has to be analyzed during fatigue tests. The aim of the present study is to compare behavior of this composite under static and cyclic loading. Tests are realized under the same conditions of temperature and maximal load levels in order to determine the effects of cycles on the sequence of damage mechanisms. Hence the evolution of mechanical parameters is analyzed. Nevertheless the complexity of mechanisms and duration of tests make the use of complementary damage indicators necessary. Different approaches based on acoustic emission can be taken into consideration in order to quantify damage along the tests. In this case the analysis of acoustical energy is studied by comparing to the evolution of strain energy. This method enables to point out different damage levels during tests.

Objective Psychosis is a recognized but often forgotten side effect of many commonly prescribed medications. Method A case of psychosis in a 27-year-old female related to metronidazole treatment is presented along with review of possible mechanisms. Results The onset and resolution of psychosis appeared to coincide with metronidazole treatment. Conclusions Clinicians should be aware of medication-related psychosis.

International audience; In this paper we present a study of the algorithmic and architectural exploration methodology for a parallelism of the 3D reconstructing algorithm (Marching Cubes) and its optimized implementation on FPGA.We aim at defining a parallel multiprocessor architecture implementing this algorithm in an optimal way and Elementary Processor (EP) architecture dedicated to this algorithm. We use the SynDEx tool which adapts the AAA (Algorithm Architecture Adequacy) methodology, to find a good compromise between the computing power, the functionality of each PE, the optimization constraint (time, area), and the parallelization efficiency. Then, we describe a first implementation of PE on FPGA.
