In this paper, we propose three metrics 𝑅𝑎𝑐𝑐, 𝑃𝑎𝑖, and Rcon to evaluate review quality. We collect the whole ICLR review corpus for the years 2017-2019 with all metadata. Utilizing the defined metrics, we evaluate the effectiveness of review process from multi-aspects. All three indicators declined as the submission increased. And reviewers are becoming more conservative in their recommendations. In addition, we proposed a model to predict the review quality. The result from Random Forest model shows that the review length, sentiment polarity, and confidence scores are three important factors that distinguish the quality of a review, which will assist meta-reviewers value more worthy reviews.

The popularization of scientific papers is conducive to deepening the public's scientific understanding of epidemic-related knowledge and reducing public psychological panic. The above analysis shows that there are still problems in the promotion and reporting of scientific papers in China, and there are phenomena such as generalization, holding a hundred by one, excessive use of words, speculation and improper citation in the process of popularization of scientific papers, which make the dissemination of scientific achievements lose Truthfulness, objectivity, and scientificity. The news media, with its unique advantages, plays an obvious role in the writing and dissemination of scientific articles, while scientists, as owners of the papers, lose their "voice" in the process. These findings may help scientific paper writers gain a clearer understanding of the current challenges, and to adjust themselves to the problems that arise in scientific papers.

Natural plant-derived protein with excellent bioactivities has attracted much attention so a functional protein with molecular weight of 15.2 kDa was extracted from Millettia speciosa Champ. leaf for the first time. Under the pH of 12.0, solid-liquid ratio of 1:40 (w/v), extraction time of 2.0 h, and extraction temperature of 50 °C, the highest extracting efficiency (79.25 ± 0.78%) of the Millettia speciosa Champ. leaf protein (MLP) was achieved. The main structure of MLP contained β-fold and β-corner by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Circular dichroism (CD) spectra analysis. Additionally, MLP was predominant with glutamic acid, aspartic acid, and leucine, which could be considered as a high quality natural protein. MLP showed great water holding capacity (WHC), oil absorption capacity (OAC), as well as emulsifying and foaming properties. Simultaneously, MLP exhibited considerable antioxidant activity. These results suggested that MLP could be utilised as a promising ingredient of functional foods.

Based on the bibliography references included in ISI Web of Knowledge, and by use of visualization network analysis tool——Citespace to conduct co-citation and cluster analysis of collected data, this paper renders knowledge mapping on the development and evolution of information resource allocation research, reveals two different periods of information resource allocation research, and identifies representative scientists as well as relevant literatures in each period. Meanwhile, this paper demonstrates the hot research fields represented by enterprise resource allocation, theory and practice research of information resource allocation, biological information resource allocation, retrieval and sharing research, and computer network communication resource allocation, and further presents the frontiers represented by empirical research of information resource allocation, information retrieval about resource allocation, network communication resource allocation, biological information data mining, biology knowledge management, gene-ontology and semantic web.

A 33-year-old Chinese woman was admitted to our hospital because of an elevated serum alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) level (300 ng/mL) found in a regular medical checkup. Computed tomography imaging of the abdomen revealed a 1.6 × 2.2 cm low-attenuation mass in the head of the pancreas, with no enlarged lymph nodes and no metastatic liver nodules, and a pancreaticoduodenectomy was performed and the tumor was completely removed. The tumor was solid, unencapsulated and poorly demarcated, measuring 2 × 1.4 × 1.8 cm, and the cut surface was grey-yellowish. Histologically, most of the areas of the tumor were composed of small monotonous and round shaped neuroendocrine cells, and approximately 20% of the areas were cells with indistinct cytoplasmic borders, large oval nuclei, prominent nucleoli and abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm, resembling the appearance of HCC. Immunohistochemical stains revealed that the neuroendocrine areas were diffusely positive for chromogranin, and the hepatoid areas showed diffuse and strong positive reaction to AFP. After surgery the AFP level reduced to normal. She received six cycles of postoperative chemotherapy and three years after the surgery was found to have an elevated serum AFP level again which gave rise to the suspicion of tumor recurrence, and a positron emission tomography-computed tomography confirmed the speculation by showing a hypermetabolic lymph node behind the body of the pancreas. She then underwent radiotherapy and the AFP level reduced to normal. Up till now she has survived 46 months since the initial diagnosis. This case and previous cases suggest that the serum AFP could be a useful marker for early detection of the disease, but careful differential diagnosis should be performed, and AFP could also be a marker for evaluation of therapeutic response and recurrence of the AFP-producing hepatoid carcinomas of pancreas.

Concept map is one of teaching and thinking tools, which was made by Professor Novak in the last century 60s, and it is also an effective tool for knowledge organization and representation which has a huge prospect in teaching and knowledge management applications in educational institutions, enterprises and government. We selected four of them and compared with each other from four aspects, like interface design, graphics and visual effects, relations setting function, import and export file types and collaboration, so that it could provide reference to those who use concept map tools.
