Conventional approaches for screening anticancer drugs rely on chemical reactions, which are time consuming, labor intensive, and costly. Here, we present a protocol for label-free and high-throughput assessment of drug efficacy using a vision transformer and a Conv2D. We describe the steps for cell culture, drug treatment, data collection, and preprocessing. We then detail the building of deep learning models and their use to predict drug potency. This protocol can be adapted for screening chemicals that affect the density or morphological features of cells. Ascending aortic aneurysms (AsAA) and aortic dissections are life-threatening cardiovascular diseases. The main criteria for determining surgical intervention of AsAA are the maximum diameter or the increasing annual rate of the aneurysm. The mortality of the untreated aortic dissection can be 21% to 74%, depending on the delay of hospital admission.Our study aims to characterize the biomechanical properties of the ascending aorta and propose a patient-specific approach to assess the risks of rupture. The purpose of this PhD work is multifold.On the one hand, biaxial tensile tests were performed on AsAA samples obtained from one hundred patients with surgery of AsAA. The impact on the different characteristics and risks was evaluated and cross-compared. We have shown that the risk factors of gender, age, diameter, and aortic valve disorders have a major impact on the stiffness of AsAA. On the other hand, eleven acute type A aortic dissection samples were collected. We have confirmed that the adventitia shows a significant stiffness than the intimomedial layer. Meanwhile, a rare case of AsAA associated with the quadricuspid aortic valve displays similar biomechanical properties to AsAA associated with the bicuspid aortic valve than with the tricuspid aortic valve. In order to make synthetic modeling from 3D printed aorta in 4D flow magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) study, three three-dimensional printable materials were tested to compare with an undilated aortic wall. The biomechanical properties of the 50 SH (shore stiffness) RGD450+TangoPlus is the most aorta-alike material.To conclude, from our result from one hundred patients, gender, age, diameter, and aortic valve disorders are the key to aortic stiffness., Les anévrismes de l'aorte ascendante et les dissections aortiques sont des maladies cardiovasculaires potentiellement mortelles. Les critères majeurs pour décider d'une intervention chirurgicale d'un anévrisme de l'aorte ascendante est le diamètre maximal ou le taux annuel d'evolution de l'anévrisme. La mortalité de la dissection aortique non traitée peut être de 21% à 74%, selon le delai de l'admission à l'hôpital.L'objectif de nos travaux est de caractériser les propriétés biomécaniques de l'aorte ascendante et de proposer une approche spécifique à chaque patient pour évaluer les risques de rupture. L'objectif de notre travail est doc multiple.D'une part, des tests de traction biaxiaux ont été réalisés sur des prélèvements d'anévrisme de l'aorte ascendante obtenus au cours de remplacement chirurgical de l'aorte ascendante. L'effet de différents paramètres cliniques et de facteurs de risque a été étudié. Nous avons montré que le sexe, l'âge, le diamètre et les pathologies associées à la valve aortique ont les impacts majeurs sur la rigidité d'anévrisme de l'aorte ascendante. D'autre part, onze échantillons de dissection aortique de type A ont été collectés. Nous avons confirmé que l'adventice présente une rigidité significativement supérieure par rapport à la couche intimo-médiale. De plus, on a montré qu'un cas d'anévrisme de l'aorte ascendante associé à une valve aortique quadricuspide possède des propriétés biomécaniques plus similaires à celles d'anévrismes de l'aorte ascendante associé à une valve aortique bicuspide comparé à un valve aortique tricuspide. Afin de réaliser des impressions 3D de l'aorte pour des études de flux 4D en Imagerie par Résonance Magnétique (IRM), trois matériaux imprimables en trois dimensions ont été testés pour les comparer avec une paroi de l'aorte non-dilatée. Les propriétés biomécaniques du 50 SH (shore stiffness) RDG450+TangoPlus sont les plus semblables à l'aorte non-dilatée.Pour conclure, à partir de nos resultats sur une centaine de patients, le sexe, l'âge, le diamètre et les pathologies associées à la valve aortique sont les parametres clés de la rigidité de l'aorte.

Dispatcher commands should be executed accurately and timely, which are transmitted to train drivers through Trans European Trunked Radio System (TETRA) at 860 MHz. In order to increase the reliability and availability, leaky coaxial cables are utilized to provide stable communication channel and anti-interference capability. In the paper, a fading model with leaky coaxial cables in tunnel is developed based on filed measurements in Beijing Subway Line 7, where characteristics of large scale fading and small scale fading are demonstrated. Through the polynomial fitting, it is found that a fading model of large scale fading with leaky coaxial cables is linear. Based on AIC (Akaike information criterion), the small scale fading is close to the normal distribution. The results can be used for the design of wireless communication networks and the parameter optimization of handoff schemes.

A novel hydrogel (HA-az-F127 hydrogel) formed by reacting hydrazide modified hyaluronic acid (HAAD) and benzaldehyde terminated F127 triblock copolymers (BAF127) was developed in this work. The hydrogel with dynamic covalent chemically and micellar physically double-cross-linked networks exhibited rapid gelation and shear thinning properties. Besides, the hydrogel possessed functions, such as adaptable mechanical strength, self-healability, liquid-absorption, or drainage and tissue adhesion, which are important for wound treatment. Studies on cytocompatibility and histopathology by 3-(4,5-dimethyl-thiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide tests, live/death staining, and cell counting kit 8 assay demonstrated excellent biocompatibility of the hydrogels. After it was applied in the deep partial-thickness burn model, the hydrogel contributed effectively in promoting burn wound repair. Therefore, the HA-az-F127 hydrogel combined multiple functions in one system, demonstrating potential application in promoting burn wound healing.

A dual-output voltage reference circuit with two reference voltages of 281 mV (Vref1) and 320.5 mV (Vref2) is presented in this paper. With a novel and precise circuit structure, the proposed circuit, operating in the subthreshold region, integrates two different output voltages into a circuit to form a dual-output voltage reference, and cascode current mirrors are used to enhance the power supply rejection ratio (PSRR). The proposed circuit was designed in a standard 0.18-&micro, m CMOS process and has a series of attractive features: low-temperature coefficient (TC), high-PSRR, low-Line sensitivity (LS), small-chip area and low-power consumption. Monte Carlo simulations for 2000 samples showed that the output voltages 281 mV and 320.5 mV had a variation coefficient of 1.73% and 1.44%, respectively. The minimum power consumption was 84.1 nW at 0.9 V supply, proving that the circuit is suitable for portable biomedical application. The active area of the proposed voltage reference was only 0.0086 mm2.

This paper presents a built-in input matching technique capable of handling a wide variation of multi-array thermoelectric generator (TEG) impedances, from 5 Ω to 2.7 K Ω , which is called internal-resistance-adaptive (IRA) maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique. The IRA circuit and delay synthesis circuit in the IRA-MPPT can track the dynamic changes of the internal resistance of the energy source in real time, and transmit the optimized switching time to the switching transistor to maximize the end-to-end efficiency ( η E–E). The circuit is designed and simulated using 0 . 18 μ m technology. An improvement of 23.23%@(R S = 2.7 K Ω , V S = 0.6 V) in η E–E is achieved with the proposed technique. Furthermore, the simulation results show that a higher than 46%@(R S = 5 Ω , V S = 0.03 V) efficiency can be achieved over an input resistance (R S ) range of 5 Ω –2.7 K Ω and an power range of 12 μ W–50 mW with a 95.52%@(R S = 100 Ω , V S = 1 V) peak efficiency.
