Mg-rich monzodiorite are found in the Budongla gold ore district, Zhongba County, Xizang (Tibet) Autonomous Region, P.R. China. Studying the petrogenesis of this intermediate pluton can provide effective information to explore the geological evolution of the Lhasa terrane. One monzodiorite sample yielded a weighted mean 206Pb/238U age of 92.7 ± 1.1 Ma (mean square weighted deviation=0.33) using LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating, which represents the late phase of Late Cretaceous magmatism. The rock-forming minerals in the Budongla Mg-rich monzodiorite mainly include K-feldspar, plagioclase, quartz, biotite augite, and amphibole, and its accessory minerals mainly include magnetite, titanite, zircon, and apatite. The rocks are rich in K2O+Na2O and K2O with medium contents of SiO2, CaO, and A12O3,, suggesting these rocks belong to the high-K calc-alkaline series. These rocks have high MgO, Fe2O3, and FeO, with high Mg# values and low DI, which implies they are Mg-rich intermediate intrusive rocks. The rocks are enriched in LREEs and LILEs and depleted in HREEs and HFSEs. They have negative Eu anomalies, no obvious negative Ce anomalies, and slightly negative εHf(t). We infer that the Budongla pluton is a high-K calc-alkaline metaluminous Mg-rich monzodiorite and intruded during the post-collisional period of the Lhasa and Qiangtang terranes.

Currently, the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been reported in almost all countries globally, and no effective therapy has been documented for COVID-19 and the role of convalescent plasma therapy is unknown. In current study, 6 COVID-19 subjects with respiratory failure received convalescent plasma at a median of 21.5 days after first detection of viral shedding, all tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 RNA by 3 days after infusion, and 5 died eventually. In conclusion, convalescent plasma treatment can discontinue SARS-CoV-2 shedding but cannot reduce mortality in critically end-stage COVID-19 patients, and treatment should be initiated earlier.

The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy of sorafenib in preventing and treating tumor recurrence after liver transplantation in patients with primary hepatic carcinoma exceeding the Milan criteria.Thirty patients with primary hepatic carcinoma exceeding the Milan criteria underwent liver transplantation at our hospital between March 2008 and June 2010. Matched for age and gender, the patients were randomized to treatment with sorafenib 400 mg bid or capecitabine (control group, 1500 mg bid, administered for 2 weeks followed by a 2-week rest interval in each cycle). Treatments were discontinued 18 months after transplantation if no recurrence occurred. Patients who experienced tumor recurrence continued their allocated treatment until they were deemed no longer suitable for the medication. Sorafenib and capecitabine were stopped or their dose was reduced in patients with severe adverse reactions.The one-year recurrence rates were 53.3% and 86.6% in patients treated with sorafenib and capecitabine, respectively (χ(2) = 3.968, P0.05), and the one-year survival rates were 93.3% and 46.6%, respectively (χ(2) = 7.777, P0.05). Mean survival time was significantly longer in the sorafenib group (24.6 ± 1.7 [range 7-28] months) than in the capecitabine group (16.4 ± 2.7 [range 5-34], months (χ(2) = 7.154, P0.05). Most treatment-emergent adverse reactions in both treatment groups were of grade 1 or 2 in severity. The incidence of diarrhea and hand-foot syndrome tended to be higher in the sorafenib group.For patients with primary hepatic carcinoma exceeding the Milan criteria, sorafenib may reduce or delay tumor recurrence after liver transplantation and prolong patient survival, with tolerable side effects.

We perform a comprehensive experimental study on holographic and thermal-fixing characteristics of Zn:Fe:LiNbO3. The measured hologram decay time constants, respectively caused by optical readout and under dark condition, with thermal fixing are 15 times and 75 times longer than that obtained without thermal fixing. This suggests that Zn:Fe:LiNbO3 crystals are suitable for thermal fixing. Multiplexed recordings of 300 holograms using different thermal fixing schemes verify that a proper multiplexing scheme such as track-division thermal-fixing scheme for disc-type holographic storage can effectively compensate for the negative effect of zinc-doping on the dynamic range, thus the storage density is enhanced.

Sorafenib is the first drug currently approved to treat advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, very low response rate and acquired drug resistance makes rare patients benefit from sorafenib therapy, therefore it is urgent to find biomarkers for sorafenib sensitivity. Histone modifications, including histone methylation, have been demonstrated to influence the initiation and progression of HCC. It is of great interest to elicit the possibility whether histone methylation plays a role in regulation of sorafenib sensitivity. In present work, a high throughput RNAi screening with 176 shRNA pools against 88 histone methyltransferases (HMTs) and histone demethyltransferases genes was applied to HepG2 cells. Silencing of 3 genes (ASH1L, C17ORF49 and SETD4) was validated to specifically promote HepG2 cells sensitivity to sorafenib. Western blotting results showed that those 3 HMT genes knockdown alone or sorafenib treatments alone both induce AKT/ERK activation. However, combination treatment with sorafenib and silencing of C17ORF49 or SETD4 downregulated AKT phosphorylation and hence induced HCC cells death. Our work may provide potential biomarkers for sorafenib sensitivity and therapeutic combination for sorafenib treatment in HCC patients.

Key management is very important for Wireless Sensor Networks' (WSNs) security. Many key management protocols have been proposed recently. However, most of them assume that the area which nodes monitored is equal security, and the probability of nodes being compromised to be the same for every node. In some application environments(e.g. in battle field), the probability of nodes being compromised in an enemy controlled area is larger than in our controlled area. In this paper, a key management method for such application environment which the security is non-uniform is proposed. The optimization for the tradeoff between storage and calculation overhead for Blom Matrix is taken into account; the secret symmetric matrix is generated by conjugate chaotic sequence, it is easy to implemented in physical circuit and more secure.

This paper is to deal with the blind extraction problem of chaotic signals by using a linear mixing model. In this model, a novel method to describe the distance function in a high dimensional space is proposed which relates the kernel function to objective function. When adopting the artificial bee colony algorithm (ABCA) as an alternative method to solve a multi-modal optimization problem, its analysis under a Markov chain model is also presented. The simulation results show that the objective function of this article has low complexity, and the artificial bee colony algorithm converges to a local minimum quickly. To be specific, the target function is constructed by combining the advantages of the proliferation exponent and the distance kernel function. The proliferation exponent can reflect the chaotic properties of a signal to a large extent, and the distance kernel can help to describe the statistical properties in a higher dimension. Due to the fact that only one frame of time-delay embedded signal is adopted, the computational complexity of our target function is low. The artificial bee colony algorithm is shown to be advantageous over other swarm algorithms. Although adopting ABCA for our evaluation function seems easy, we analyze why this algorithm can work, in contrast to the fact that most literature only runs some simulations to confirm its usefulness. Our analysis is only for a special case when the number of employed bees is set to be 2 and the process of onlooker bees and scouts are temporarily omitted. With smaller complexity than the methods based on proliferation exponents and kurtosises, simulations show that our method can have excellent performance when evaluated by correlation coefficients.

The effect of Vlf communication is impacted by the environment factors, so the effect lacks the uniformity in the region of time, space and frequency. It made use of the prediction of the vlf wave propagation, applied the waveguide mode theory to set up the math model and process the computer simulation, predicted the signal field strength of vlf, the prediction results accord with the measuring data. Then it implemented to display the spatial distribution of vlf signal field strength combined with the MapX, so as to we could display the cover range of the transmitter's reliable communication. So we can implement the accurate prediction of the communication effect, and the efficiency of submarine communication could be enhanced.

However, there are still some problems, and differential marketing of agricultural products can improve the cohesion of rural cooperative economic organizations. Nonlinear time series denoising is the premise for extracting useful information from an observable, for the applications in analyzing natural chaotic signals or achieving chaotic signal synchronizations. A good chaotic signal denoising algorithm processes not only a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), but also a good unpredictability of a signal. Starting from the compressed sensing perspective, in this work we provide a novel filtering algorithm for chaotic flows. The first step is to estimate the strength of the noise variance, which is not explicitly provided by any blind algorithm. Then the second step is to construct a deterministic projection matrix, whose columns are polynomials of different orders, which are sampled from the Maclaurin series. Since the noise variance is provided from the first step, then a sparsity level with regard to this signal can be fully constructed, and this sparsity value in conjunction with the orthogonal matching pursuit algorithm is used to recover the original signal. Our method can be regarded as an extension to the local curve fitting algorithm, where the extension lies in allowing the algorithm to choose a wider range of polynomial orders, not just those of low orders. In the analysis of our algorithm, the correlation coefficient of the proposed projection matrix is given, and the reason for shrinking the sparsity when the noise variance increases is also presented, which emphasizes that there is a larger probability of error column selection with larger noise variance. In the simulation, we compare the denoising performance of our algorithm with those of the wavelet shrinking algorithm and the local curve fitting algorithm. In terms of SNR improvement for the Lorenz signal, the proposed algorithm outperforms the local curve fitting method in an input SNR range from 0 dB to 20 dB. And this superiority also exists if the input SNR is larger than 9 dB when compared with the wavelet methods. A similar performance also exists concerning the Rössler chaotic system. The last simulation shows that the chaotic properties of the originals are largely recovered by using our algorithm, where the quantity for "chaotic degree" is described by using the proliferation exponent.

This paper explored a way to design mechanical structure and motion pattern of a quadrupedal robot to realize pitching motion by mimicking a cat. Four joints configuration styles were obtained by simplifying quadrupedal mammal's body. Referring to the leg motion of a cat, joint motion trajectories were designed and a motion mapping relationship between knee and hip was formulated for the quadrupedal robot. Proved by the experiments with a physical robot, these designs are effective and the quadrupedal robot can walk quickly and smoothly just as a cat does. Otherwise, we find robotic mechanical structure in terms of joint-configuration style, layout of COG, etc. has influences on the performance of the robot. That results in slippage or not-clearance-from-the-ground of feet in motion.

A chaotic signal in an observation area of network nodes is sent to a fusion center for reconstruction. As the communication bandwidth is limited, the signal must be quantified before sending to the fusion center, which will add quantization noise to the observed signal, which makes the signal reconstruction more difficult. A chaotic signal reconstruction algorithm is proposed in this paper based on square-root cubature Kalman filter. Firstly the probability density function of the observed signal is estimated, and then the optimal quantizer is used to quantify the observed signal. Under the limited budget of quantization bits, the best performance can be achieved. Compared with the unscented Kalman filter counterpart, our algorithm has fewer cubature points and has the merit of small computation load; meanwhile, it uses the square root of error variance for iteration, this will be more stable and accurate when iterating for parameter estimation. Simulation results show that the algorithm can reconstruct the observed signal quickly and effectively, with consuming less computation time and being more accurate than the one based on unscented Kalman filter.

China's textile and clothing enterprises have been fallen into a difficult position because of the problems formed in the planned economy which made them not adaptable to these changes.
