Phase noise (PN) consists of common phase error (CPE) and inter carrier interference (ICI). In an OFDM symbol, CPE has the same impact on each subcarrier, which is easy to be suppressed. However, ICI destroys the orthogonality of subcarriers, which is difficult to be eliminated. Therefore, an additional method is needed to be performed in the OFDM receiver to compensate the ICI. The interpolation method is considered an effective way to eliminate the ICI caused by PN in the OFDM system. To enhance the accuracy of the PN estimation and compensation, we propose a linear method, LI-ICI-EE1 method based on LI-ICI-E1. Multiple interpolation slopes are first calculated by selecting multiple pairs of observation samples, then the slope with the maximal linear fitting degree based on the least square (LS) criterion is selected to improve the LI precision. Furthermore, to improve the estimation accuracy of PN in the LI-ICI-EE1, we propose a Shrinkage-based on LI-ICI-E1 method named SLI-EE1, which is implemented by adding an l2 norm penalty term to the error function. At last, to optimize the low accuracy of LI-ICI-EE1 and SLI-EE1 when the PN compensation problem is a high-order problem, we propose a non-linear method Shrinkage-based Third-order Lagrange method named STL. Simulation results show that the improved methods have better BER performance.

The aim of this systematic review and network meta-analysis (NMA) of randomized controlled trials was to evaluate the effectiveness of treatments for pain relief of burning mouth syndrome (BMS). Five databases and gray literature were searched. Independent reviewers selected studies, extracted data, and assessed the risk of bias. The primary outcome was pain relief or burning sensation, and the secondary outcomes were side effects, quality of life, salivary flow, and TNF-α and interleukin 6 levels. Four comparable interventions were grouped into different network geometries to ensure the transitivity assumption for pain: photobiomodulation therapy, alpha-lipoic acid, phytotherapics, and anxiolytics/antidepressants. Mean difference (MD) and 95% CI were calculated for continuous outcomes. The minimal important difference to consider a therapy beneficial against placebo was an MD of at least −1 for relief of pain. To interpret the results, the GRADE approach for NMA was used with a minimally contextualized framework and the magnitude of the effect. Forty-four trials were included (24 in the NMA). The anxiolytic (clonazepam) probably reduces the pain of BMS when compared with placebo (MD, −1.88; 95% CI, −2.61 to −1.16; moderate certainty). Photobiomodulation therapy (MD, −1.90; 95% CI, −3.58 to −0.21) and pregabalin (MD, −2.40; 95% CI, −3.49 to −1.32) achieved the minimal important difference of a beneficial effect with low or very low certainty. Among all tested treatments, only clonazepam is likely to reduce the pain of BMS when compared with placebo. The majority of the other treatments had low and very low certainty, mainly due to imprecision, indirectness, and intransitivity. More randomized controlled trials comparing treatments against placebo are encouraged to confirm the evidence and test possible alternative treatments (PROSPERO CRD42021255039).

Study question Do severe acephalic spermatozoa syndrome (ASS) patients with different genes variants obtain good fertilization rate after intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)? Summary answer Despite highly abnormal sperm morphology, severe ASS patients with SUN5, TSGA10 and PMFBP1 different variations have a favorable pregnancy outcome following ICSI. What is known already ASS is a rare cause of infertility characterized by the production of two main subtypes: one type has small “pin-head” ends devoid of any nuclear material, and the other comprises spermatozoa with misaligned head-midpiece junctions. Many researchers have suggested that variants in TSGA10 without a proximal centriole might influence early embryonic development. Some case reports studies with very few cases showed that ICSI could help patients with ASS father children. Study design, size, duration This retrospective cohort study included 14 infertile men with severe ASS and 100 fertile men in Reproductive and Genetic Hospital of CITIC-Xiangya in China, from January 2020 to December 2021. Participants/materials, setting, methods Patients and fertile men were recruited respectively from Outpatient Department and Sperm bank of our hospital in China. 14 severe ASS were analyzed by whole exome sequencing. Mutational analysis in the 14 severe ASS and 100 fertile men were performed. Identified SUN5, TSGA10 and PMFBP1 variations were further investigated using bioinformatics, RT-PCR, Western Blot, indirect immunofluorescence assay, papanicolaou staining, CASA, transmission electron microscopy and ICSI treatments. Clinical data were collected from the fertility center. Main results and the role of chance In 14 patients with severe acephalic spermatozoa,16 homozygous or heterozygous variants were identified from SUN5,TSGA10 and PMFBP1. We performed deep phenotyping in acephalic spermatozoa with different variants, and found that, other than the two major subtypes, multiple variations in different genes that affect sperm heads in humans produce diverse phenotypes with subtle differences. Our findings were supported by Papanicolaou staining, SEM and TEM analyses. The rates of fertilization, good-quality embryos and pregnancy for 13 patients following ICSI were 85.71% (174/203), 55.17% (96 /174) and 69.23% (9/13), respectively. There were no differences in ICSI results between ASS patients with different genes mutations. The defects of acephalic spermatozoa caused by different genetic variations may only affect the morphology of sperm. ICSI can be used in the treatment of acephalic spermatozoa and obtain favorable fertilization rate without affecting the quality of early embryos and clinical pregnancy outcome. For individuals with ASS, ICSI using intact spermatozoa (or separated heads and tails) is suggested. If no sperm heads in their ejaculate, the spermatozoa can be collected from the testes. Very few intact spermatozoa or loose sperm heads will be available, even if normal morphology of spermatozoa is 0% and 100% spermatozoa are acephalic. Limitations, reasons for caution Only a small number ASS patients was available because of its rare incidence. Patients with ASS can be effectively treated with ICSI. However, the results in this study should be treated with caution, which involves the TSGA10, SUN5 and PMFBP1 genes and cannot be extrapolated to other genes. Wider implications of the findings The identification of novel variants in SUN5, TSGA10 and PMFBP1 broadens the spectrum of ASS genetic causes. Our study is the first to thoroughly evaluate the phenotypes and pathogenic genotypes of patients with severe ASS in China. SUN5, TSGA10 and PMFBP1 mutation-associated male infertility can be overcome by ICSI. Trial registration number kq2014032

The efficiency of high-order harmonic generation from a relativistic laser interacting with solid targets depends greatly on surface plasma distribution. The usual method of enhancing efficiency involves tuning the plasma scale length carefully by improving the laser contrast. Here, we experimentally demonstrate that efficient harmonics can be achieved directly by compressing large-scale surface plasma via the radiation pressure of a circularly polarized normally incident prepulse. The harmonic generation efficiency obtained by this method is comparable to that obtained with optimized plasma scale length by high-contrast lasers. Our scheme does not rely on high-contrast lasers and is robust and easy to implement. Thus, it may pave a way for the development of intense extreme ultraviolet sources and future applications with high repetition rates.

The commercial production of coalbed methane (CBM) in China has made significant achievements. To further improve the production of CBM and realize its development, it is necessary to establish a unique, high-efficiency CBM production method that considers the characteristics of coal reservoirs in China. This paper presents the current status of China’s CBM exploitation over the past 15 years from three aspects: reservoir characteristics, production mode, and exploitation technology. The achievements, in terms of exploration and development of CBM resources in China, were summarized. The CBM reservoirs in China are characterized by high coal rank, low permeability, high gas content, and low reservoir pressure gradient. Strategic measures for coal and CBM co-mining were proposed creatively as “Huainan”, “Jincheng”, and “Songzao” modes. CBM production enhancement measures have achieved significant innovations and breakthroughs in drilling and completion technologies and reservoir reconstruction, effectively reducing development costs and increasing single well production. Finally, based on existing basic research, this study proposes efficient CBM exploitation technologies suitable for the characteristics of CBM reservoirs in China. In particular, the uniform permeability enhancement measures of hydraulic grid slotting and fracturing have the advantages of safety, high efficiency, economy, feasibility, and broad application prospects under complex mining conditions. It is of great strategic significance to improve the CBM recovery rate and optimize China’s energy structure.

Based on numerical simulation technology, the aerodynamic load research of civil aircraft parked on the ground is conducted. The CRM model parked on the ground is established by CFD software. Based on the atmospheric boundary layer theory, the seven incoming flow conditions for numerical calculation are designed. And the aerodynamic loads’ change of the aircraft model is calculated when the -90° sideslip angle. The result shows that the mooring load on the nose landing gear mainly comes from the longitudinal load caused by the upwards pitching moment on the flat tail and the lateral load caused by the yaw moment; since the rolling moment coefficient is less than the pitching moment coefficient by two orders of magnitude, which hardly affects the mooring load. The study provides a reference for reducing the mooring load of civil aircraft under heavy wind conditions.

Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) presents severe morbidity and high mortality owing to local recurrence or remote metastasis. Molecular markers, including chemokines, might provide more efficient prognostic information or even therapeutic targets for the treatment of OSCC. Using quantitative RT-qPCR, we found that CCL18 was dramatically overexpressed in 30 OSCC tissues at the mRNA level in comparison with their adjacent non-cancerous oral mucosa tissues and 15 oral mucosa tissues from non-malignant patients. We then analyzed the relationship between CCL18 overexpression and patient clinical characters and outcomes using immunohistochemistry staining (IHC) in 102 paired OSCC cancerous and adjacent non-cancerous tissues; the increase in CCL18 expression was significantly higher in male patients (p=0.047), tumors of the palate and floor of the mouth (p=0.014), patients with positive lymph node metastasis (p=0.007), and patients with poor tumor differentiation (p=0.029). The median overall survival time and time-to-recurrence were 80.6 and 61.4 months in patients with high CCL18 expression, respectively, as against 93.4 and 81.6 months in patients with comparatively lower CCL18 expression, respectively (p=0.033 and 0.012, respectively; log-rank test). Multivariate analyses indicated age, poor differentiation, and CCL18 levels to be independent prognostic factors for predicting both overall and disease-free survival time. Our study suggests that CCL18 is a novel candidate marker for the OSCC malignancy and prognosis, including lymph node metastasis, time-to-recurrence, and disease-free survival time.

In this work, we have developed a near-infrared emissive polyethyleneimine capped Ag2(PEI-Ag2S QD) quantum dots based chemosensor for sensing trace-level Hg2+ in water by taking advantage of the metal-induced aggregation strategy. The fluorescence determination of Hg2+ by PEI-Ag2S QD at different pH (pH 4, 7, and 10) were performed, respectively. Under the optimum conditions, the selectivity of this system for Hg2+ over other metal ions in aqueous solutions was remarkably high, and its detection limits was 0.5 nM at pH 4. In addition, the present approach provides the advantages of rapidity, simplicity, low background and low cost. The assay also offers great potential for specific detection of Hg2+ in real water samples. This developed PEI-Ag2S QD-based method presages more opportunities for application in environmental systems.

The effect of the surface protection with insulating materials of the two types on the bending and compressive strengths, internal temperature, mass loss, and relative dynamic elastic modulus of hydraulic concrete was studied. In comparison with unprotected concretes, the surface protection can delay the temperature drop of the concrete bulk and increase its final temperature. Polyurethane and polystyrene were compared as to their efficiency in the surface protection of hydraulic concrete during the freeze-thaw cycle test. Those materials can increase a maximum number of freeze-thaw cycles. As compared to unprotected concrete, the number of cycles increased by 100 and 75%, respectively. After 100 freeze-thaw cycles, the relative compressive and bending strengths of polyurethane-protected concrete are 75 and 64%, while these characteristics for unprotected concretes make up 61 and 57%. Such an approach effectively withstand the deterioration of mechanical properties of concrete during freeze-thaw cycles.

AECOPD is the most common cause of death among infectious diseases in developing countries, and also an important cause of mortality and morbidity in developed countries. In recent years, related scoring systems such as the mMRC score and CAT questionnaire have been widely used to assess the severity of AECOPD. However, they both have some shortcomings in predicting the admission of AECOPD patients to the ICU. This study aimed to develop a new prediction model to predict the admission of AECOPD patients to the ICU based on objective blood indicators.This was a retrospective study. Enrolled patients with AECOPD underwent blood gas analysis as well as biomarker testing for serum inflammatory markers, including white blood cell count (WBC), neutrophils, D-dimer, procalcitonin (PCT), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR). General characteristics such as age and gender were also recorded. The main observation was admission to the ICU. Univariate analysis and binary logistic regression analysis were used to explore independent risk factors for admission to the ICU in patients with AECOPD, which could be used as components of a new predictive model. Subject receiver operating characteristic curves (ROC) were used to assess the sensitivity and specificity of the new model, which consisted of all independent risk factors predicting the primary outcome.Initially, 369 patients with AECOPD were admitted to the general ward, of which 119 were subsequently transferred to the ICU (119/369). PaCO2, WBC, D-dimer, PCT, and hs-CRP were independent risk factors for admission to the ICU in patients with AECOPD. The AUC of the new prediction model (combined model consisting of PaCO2, WBC, D-dimer, PCT, and hs-CRP) was 0.94 (95% CI 0.92 - 0.97). The sensitivity was 80.7% and the specificity was 94.8%.The model for predicting the admission of AECOPD patients to the ICU based on blood indicators has a high specificity and sensitivity.

As a serious and common out-of-hospital infectious disease, community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) ranks among the leading causes of death in both developing and developed countries. In recent years, the increasing incidence of CAP has led to an increase in the number of hospitalizations. Although CURB-65 (or CRB-65) and pneumonia severity Index (PSI) scoring systems are widely used in CAP prognostic scoring systems, each score had some limitations in predicting whether patients with CAP would require prolonged hospitalization. The aim of this study was to analyze serum inflammatory biomarkers combined with age to establish a novel predictive model for predicting prolonged hospitalization in patients with CAP.In a retrospective study, serum inflammatory biomarkers were collected from all enrolled CAP patients, including white blood cell count (WBC), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), D-dimer, procalcitonin (PCT), fibrinogen (FIB), and ICU treatment. Length of hospital stay and age were also recorded. The 75th percentile of length of stay in the enrolled population was defined as long hospitalization over time, and the primary predictor of outcome was prolonged hospitalization. Univariate analysis and binary logistic regression analysis were used to explore the independent risk factors which could be components of a new predicting model for prolonged hospitalization in CAP patients. ROC curves were used to evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of the new model, which consisted of the combination of all independent risk factors in predicting the main outcomes.The results showed that among 364 patients with CAP, 85 had extended hospitalization (85/364). Further analysis showed that age, white blood cell, fibrinogen, and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein were independent risk factors for extended hospitalization in patients with CAP. Finally, the AUC of the ROC curve of the new prediction model (the joint model consists of age, WBC, FIB, and hs-CRP) was 0.93 (95% CI 0.90 - 0.96), and the sensitivity and specificity were 87.1% and 87.8%, respectively.Serum inflammatory biomarkers combined age have high specificity and sensitivity in predicting prolonged hospitalization in adult CAP patients.

Global staffing is a crucial factor for the success of the overseas operations of multinational corporations (MNCs). This study examines the contextual and organisational factors that affect the localisation of subsidiary staffing in the overseas operations of Japanese multinational companies. Using panel data containing more than 15 000 observations of Japanese overseas subsidiaries and a random-effects logit model, we found that the cultural distance between the home country and the host country has a significant impact on the localisation of subsidiary staffing. In addition, the strategic importance of subsidiaries, as well as the local market orientation and business experiences in the host country, but not research and development (R&D) intensity of Japanese parent firms, have a significant impact on the localisation of foreign subsidiary staffing. To develop an efficient and recyclable photocatalyst, ternary magnetic Fe3O4@ZnO/g-C3N4 nanocomposites were synthesized for the photodegradation of methylene blue (MB). The microstructures, magnetic response and photocatalytic activity of the as-prepared nanocomposites were characterized by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), N2 adsorption–desorption isotherms and spectrophotometer. All results indicate that ZnO nanoparticles anchor on the surface of Fe3O4 nanoparticles and Fe3O4@ZnO exists on the surface of g-C3N4 to form Fe3O4@ZnO/g-C3N4 nanocomposites. The photocatalytic activity to MB of Fe3O4@ZnO/g-C3N4 nanocomposites is significantly higher than those of pristine g-C3N4 and Fe3O4@ZnO. Owing to the heterojunctions between the interface of g-C3N4 and ZnO, the high separation efficiency of the photogenerated electrons and holes increases the radicals [Formula: see text]OH and [Formula: see text]O[Formula: see text] to photodegrade MB. Fe3O4@ZnO/g-C3N4 (20%) presents the highest MB removal of 93.74% and could be easily separated from solution with magnetic separation method.

To re-examine the diagnosis results of reported malaria cases in Sichuan Province from 2014 to 2020, so as to assess the malaria diagnostic capability of Sichuan Provincial Malaria Diagnostic Reference Laboratory.The blood and blood smear samples from reported malaria cases were collected by Sichuan Provincial Malaria Diagnostic Reference Laboratory from 2014 to 2020, and subjected to re-examinations using microscopy and nested PCR assay. The re-examination results were compared.A total of 1 710 samples from reported malaria cases were re-examined by Sichuan Provincial Malaria Diagnostic Reference Laboratory from 2014 to 2020, and 1 634 samples were identified positive, with a positive coincidence rate of 95.56% (1 634/1 710) and a 92.29% (1 508/1 634) total coincidence rate of theThe capability of microscopists remains weak at grassroot medical institutions in Sichuan Province. Further training is required among microscopists to improve the malaria surveillance capability in Sichuan Province during the post-elimination stage.

Cutaneous angiosarcoma (CAS) is a rare but typically aggressive malignant vascular neoplasm of the skin. Tumor microenvironment (TME) of CAS and its associations with baseline clinicopathological features and patient outcomes are very important, especially when considering the recent advances in understanding of the tumor biology.We retrospectively reviewed medical records of patients who underwent surgical resection for CAS at a tertiary Hospital. The pretreated specimens were evaluated by immunohistochemistry for programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and its ligand (PD-L1), densities of tumor infiltrative lymphocytes (TILs) (CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD45RO+, FoxP3+), as well as c-MYC and Ki-67 expressions. Overall survival (OS) was estimated by Kaplan-Meier method and compared with Log-rank test.A total of 21 CAS patients were identified. Median age was 67 (ranges: 20-81) years, 14 (66.7%) were male, and over 50% had lesions of scalp. Histopathological examination showed a predominantly spindle cell type (57.1%). All patients underwent surgery, 16 (76.2%) were treated further. PD-L1 was positively stained ( 1%) in tumor cells (42.9%) and TILs (23.8%). PD-1 expression ( 1%) was identified in TILs of 11 (52.4%) cases. PD-1/PD-L1 expressions were significantly associated with the higher densities of CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD45RO+, and Foxp3+ TILs, but not with patient characteristics or c-MYC or Ki-67 expression. Median OS was 18.5 months (95% CI 6.0-35.9), although no prognostic significance was observed with respect to any clinicopathological features.We characterized TME and its clinical and prognostic association in CAS. PD-1/PD-L1 expressions were significantly associated with TILs subtypes but not with OS.

Chemoradiotherapy is regarded as a standard scheme for inoperable and unresectable esophageal cancers. Our aims were to explore the prognostic factors relevant to esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) following intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) plus chemotherapy.Totally 495 ESCC patients undergoing IMRT combined with chemotherapy in our hospital between 2011 and 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. Potential clinical prognosis-related factors were assessed by uni- and multivariate analyses.The median overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) of the ESCC patients were 2.25 and 1.24years, respectively. Uni- and multivariate analyses demonstrated the relevant independent prognostic factors of OS and PFS were gender, T stage, N stage, clinical stage, and tumor location (P0.05), but not chemotherapy or radiotherapy dose. We further compared the 5-year OS rates among different T stages, N stages, clinical stages, genders, and tumor locations. The survival rate at the higher clinical stage was significantly lower (P0.001). The 5-year OS in the upper thorax of the tumor was 46.0% and exceeded other tumor locations (P0.05). The 5-year OS was 56.1% among females and 33.3% among males (P=0.001).For ESCC patients receiving IMRT combined with chemotherapy, their long-term curative effects are influenced by T stages, N stages, clinical stages, genders, and tumor locations. ESCC patients who are females, or have upper thoracic tumor, or are at early clinical stage own better prognosis.

A tokamak scenario with q(0) close to 1 has been achieved on HL-2A tokamak, which is an internal transport barrier (ITB) at low central shear or a steady-state ITB combined with an H-mode edge barrier. In this scenario, the formation of an ITB with a steep ion temperature profile is observed to be closely linked to the q = 1 magnetic surface and magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) activities around it, such as long-lived mode (LLM) or fishbone activities. Experimental evidence and simulation analysis suggest that the fishbone activities can induce a poloidal flow, which is beneficial for the suppression of turbulence in the plasma core region. Furthermore, an application of central electron cyclotron resonance heating (ECRH) to such beam-heated weak shear ITB discharges leads to a substantial effect on central MHD stability, converting the LLM into fishbone activity and hence enhancing the strength of the ITB with a much stronger gradient. Moreover, ITBs in combination with an H-mode barrier were achieved for 10 confinement times with βN = 2.0.

Study question For X-autosome translocation [t(X-A)] carriers, is it a more applicable preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) strategy, that distinguishing noncarrier from euploid/ balanced embryos and prioritized transfer? Summary answer Noncarrier and carrier embryos discrimination in PGT is an applicable strategy to avoid transferring genetic and reproductive risks to the offspring of t(X-A) carriers. What is known already Balanced t(X-A) is a specific reciprocal translocation, with a higher risk of detrimental phenotype and fertility issues compared to individuals with autosomal translocation. Alternative X-chromosome inactivation (XCI) is a specific pathogenic mechanism in this population. For carrier offspring of couples with t(X-A), the genetic counseling is challenged in both the prenatal and postpartum stages, because of the complexity and severity of phenotype outcomes that are unpredictable and associated with the complex XCI mechanism. Therefore, caution is necessary when designing a PGT strategy for couples with t(X-A). Study design, size, duration A retrospective study. We collected a 3-year-old girl with maternal translocation 46,X,t(X;1)(q28;p31.1) presenting with multiple congenital disabilities. Three couples with female t(X-A) carrier requesting for PGT. Participants/materials, setting, methods Karyotype analysis, whole-exome sequencing (WES), and X inactivation analysis were performed for the girl with congenital cardiac anomaly, language defect, and mild neurodevelopmental delay. PGT based on next-generation sequencing following the microdissecting junction region to distinguish noncarrier and carrier embryos were used in three couples with female t(X-A) carrier (Cases 1–3). Main results and the role of chance The girl carried a maternal balanced translocation 46,X,t(X;1)(q28;p31.1). WES revealed none monogenic mutation related to her phenotype, but she carried a rare skewed inactivation of the translocation X chromosome and spread to the adjacent interstitial 1p segment, contrary to her mother. All translocation breakpoints of Cases 1–3 were successfully identified and each couple underwent one PGT cycle. Thirty oocytes were retrieved, and 13 blastocysts were eligible for biopsy, of which 6 (46.15%) embryos were balanced and only 4 were noncarriers. Three frozen embryo transfers with noncarrier embryos resulted in the birth of two healthy children (one girl and one boy), who were subsequently confirmed to have normal karyotypes. We reported a girl with multiple congenital disabilities resulting from maternally balanced t(X-A) and validated that noncarrier and carrier embryo discrimination is an effective and applicable strategy for avoiding transferring genetic and reproductive risks to the offspring from t(X-A) carriers. Limitations, reasons for caution Here, we reported a girl with multiple congenital disabilities resulting from maternally balanced t(X-A) found different XCI patterns, while we did not further determine the mechanism causing the different XCI patterns between the girl and her mother. Wider implications of the findings: We demonstrated passing on a balanced t(X-A) may result in clinical manifestations associated with the X-inactivation, and verified the PGT strategy, that distinguishing normal and carrier embryos in can widely applied in t(X-A) carrier couples to avoid the genetic and reproductive risk of transferring t(X-A) to the next generation. What is known already Reciprocal translocation is one of the more common structural rearrangements of chromosomes, which is associated with reproductive risks, such as infertility, spontaneous abortion and the delivery of babies with mental retardation or developmental delay. Extensive studies on meiotic segregation patterns of sperm, blastomere, and blastocysts have identified several factors that may influence the generation of unbalanced rearrangement of reciprocal translocations, including carrier’s gender and age, location of breakpoints, chromosome type, and the quadrivalent structure. Study design, size, duration A retrospective study from October 2013 to December 2019, a total of 10846 blastocysts originating from 2871 oocyte retrieval cycles from 2253 couples with one of the partners carrying reciprocal were investigated. The mean maternal age was 29.97±4 years (20 –47years). Participants/materials, setting, methods Trophectoderm biopsy of blastocysts was performed on the 5th or 6th day of development. The effect of pre-deformation induced by the tensile fracture at room temperature on the microstructure evolution of Ni Al model single crystal superalloy during thermal exposure at 1000 °C, was investigated by scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscopy. Recrystallization occurs near the fracture surface where the most severe plastic deformation was suffered. The average size of recrystallization grains in front of the recrystallization area is much larger than that of at the fracture surface. In a previous study, we reported that transplantation of bone mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) significantly attenuated liver damage in a mouse autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) model. Moreover, expression of the LIM domain protein, LMO7, correlated positively with the invasive capacity of hepatoma cells. However, whether LMO7 plays a role in inflammation and fibrosis of AIH remains unknown. This investigation aimed to explore the effect of BMSC transplantation on LMO7 and the role of LMO7 in hepatic fibrosis.S100-induced murine AIH and LPS-induced hepatocyte injury models were successfully established. Three doses of BMSCs were injected into AIH mice via the tail vein. LPS-treated AML12 cells were co-cultured with BMSCs in vitro. Small interfering (si) LMO7 RNA and T5224 (a specific inhibitor of AP-1) were used to demonstrate the relationship between LMO7-AP1-transforming growth factor (TGF)-β.Pathological examination and serum alanine and aspartate aminotransferase levels indicated that liver damage was notably ameliorated in the BMSC-treated mice. LMO7 level was upregulated, while AP-1 and TGF-β levels were downregulated upon intervention with BMSCs. AP-1 expression was upregulated in the siLMO7 group, whereas TGF-β level was downregulated in the T5224 group when compared to those in the control group.BMSC transplantation significantly limits liver fibrosis and upregulates the expression of LMO7. LMO7 inhibits the TGF-β pathway by inhibiting AP-1. This implies that BMSCs are a potential means of treating liver fibrosis. This approach has important implications for the treatment of AIH and other fibrotic diseases.
